I genuinely read this entire book in one sitting, which probably tells you everything you need to know 😭
I absolutely loved Left on Read. The romance was SO good, but I think what really got me was how completely he accepted her for exactly who she was. He understood her personality, worked with it rather than against it, and even after waiting for her for so long, he never became frustrating or let himself get too pushed away or stuck in his own head. He just cared about her, and I loved watching their relationship develop.
The aura aspect was also such a cool addition. The fact that she could read everyone’s aura except his made their connection so much more interesting, and I loved how the paranormal elements were woven through the story without taking away from the romance.
And the connections back to Ghosted!! Seeing Rae come back and help with the store’s ghost problem was so much fun, and I loved having Dean pop up throughout the book with his whiteboard. Knowing they’re still there existing in the same universe while we get a completely different story made me ridiculously happy.
I honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about this book. It was fun, romantic, easy to get completely invested in, and the ending left me so satisfied. The only reason it isn’t quite a full five stars is because my five-star reads have to hit that tiny extra level of obsession—and this was SO incredibly close.

Super cute read! Wren and Julian’s storylines felt well-balanced with the romance and they each felt like well-developed characters with their own moments of growth. I enjoyed them both as individuals and as a couple. The added bits of the paranormal help make the story that much more engaging and help separate it a bit from your average rom-com. A great read and would definitely recommend!

My one critique is that one of the book’s tropes is dislike to friends to lovers but I felt like there wasn’t much of the friendship stage. It kind of morphed from dislike to crush fairly quickly.
For a woman who can see the auras of ghosts and who has a literal medium for a sister with a ghost husband, I feel like it took so long to figure out there was a ghost situation 😭

Ok I LOVED this book!! Such a fun read! I love a romance that has a flare of the supernatural, and with Wren being able to read auras and her sister being a medium it hit just right.
The romance was super sweet. I loved that Wren stayed true to who she was and kept her boundaries. She didn’t turn into someone else or started to people please just because she was falling in love.
Such a good transition from summer to fall book!!

This book was so cute. I couldn’t put it down. If you love Ghost Whisper with JLH this book / series is right up your alley. I may have binged this book while I needed to be sleeping. 😂 I loved Julian, his love for Wren from the start was visible. I also loved that Wren finally came into her own and accepted herself.Such a good quick read!
