At least I didn't see any obvious AI in this one
It was a good story, and a very interesting premise, with some twists I didn't expect. The writing seemed be be back to the voice I expected, unlike the last one.

Another page turner!! With such a wealth of First Colony history to draw on, how could this book be anything but a success. Ethan’s character has become almost as much fun to read as his father’s. Connor was my favorite character. The evolution of the Vemus was terrifyingly interesting. The action never stopped. The continuation of the Hybrids in the series adds another dimension to what Humanity has had to endure, and there is plenty of what makes us Human in the development of the relationships in the story. It has been difficult not to include spoilers, if you have enjoyed the last 19 books you will love this one. It is a bit short, but it has the classic BIG ending!

The Expedition CDF with the hybrids intervene before the Star Probe elevates can convert the Regional Alpha into the Dominant Planet Alpha. The CDF successfully captures the Star Probe but at great personal cost.

Great story!
More adventures with Ethan and Co as they investigate an alien planet at war with the Venus and steadily losing ground. Part of the story is from the aliens perspective and part as a first contact from Ethan’s side. Exploration, adventure, and thrilling battles. Great addition to the series. I see interesting conflicts ahead!

great story and the ending was a surprise
I loved the story and cannot wait for book 21! I’m hoping that Saraphine and Ethan get together in a love hate relationship since she did absorb Cynergy!

Amazing story that follows on from the original First Colony series. Very interesting direction that could lead to several followup stories.
