Ajax finished his delves and is returning home to consolidate his gains. Once he gets there he is faced with a new challenge that will need his entire family’s help to overcome.
Ajax is granted a duchy, including his home village and the city of Lessis. Gryndor’s royalty is providing Ajax with a strong base of support. Ajax does his best to deal with the other nobles and develop his new duchy with information he brought back from Earth.
How will Ajax handle the visit from both Sylvanthal and the Empire while keeping peace and order in his own duchy?
This one moved the story along in some great directions. Less dungeons than the last book but a lot of character and plot development. A good amount of setup for the next book, I can’t wait!
An enjoyable read but way to many errors with wrong words, incorrect punctuation mixing up whole sentences, and spelling errors. This interupts the flow of the story way to much.
The other thing that I find really odd is that the main story is written in third person (ie, Ajax said "Hello") but for the different POV chapters it changes to first person (ie, I said "Hello"). This is just a confusing writting decision to me. Looking forward to the next which should be a bit more action orientated after this more or a setup book.
A little slower than previous books as we set up for the future.
There's a lot going on here, but action wise it is slower. Lot of setup for the future, with a few interesting developments for Ajax. My biggest issue is still the ongoing typos throughout where a second editing pass or something was needed.
The town building, politics, and scheming was a great change of pace to build up the conflicts to come! I really enjoyed all of the different character perspectives and am looking forward to the Wild Lands exploration! Overall, this a super engaging series and I can’t wait for what’s to come next!
Great book. But please have a LIVE person proofread before post it. SO MANY typos and once agian the nephew turns into a niece then back to a nephew all in space of couple of pages. But at least they were on way to motor's office... though why the Mayor was going there is weird.
This book was a filler book plain and simple. It was much like reading a history book on Genghis Khan or someone. The author would have pleased the readers by summarizing more. It didn’t even end just before the Wilds.
Another fine book by Keleros who is fast becoming one of my favorite authors. Ajax continues to grow. Lots of politics and plots by various countries. Looking forward to the next installment when Ajax goes to the wildlands in search of a bond.
The majority of this book felt pretty slow till the later half, but I'm glad we are getting more mingling with the other countries. Im still waiting on more appearances from the Dwarves.
This book was mostly about our guy setting up his new home. He is somewhat obsessed to go into the wilds by himself which should be covered next book. Great Read
All of the books in the series need some good proofreading and editing.
The story is fine enough, but the misplaced punctuation that changes entire sentence meanings, misspelled words, mismatched words, and random characters inserted into various sentences make it difficult to read.
There’s also little bits that don’t match up from book to book. Fluffy’s gender, as well as the gender of Ajax’s nephew/niece flip flops as well.
