This is the second book in a three book series. I read both book 1 and this one (book 2). Overton did his research well on what is known about the historical events, people and customs of this part of ancient Egypt. The story really brought the characters to life and helped me learn how they were related to each other and what happened during their reign, so that when I went to Egypt and saw where they lived, their temples and their tombs, I remembered who they were and it really enhanced the experience. Good story. Fun to read.

A good read

I recommend the book to those who are interested in ancient Egypt. The book is a good blend of history and fiction. I cannot wait to read the next book of this series.
