Back of book description:

Delaney Walker has a secret. The celebrated designer of erotic lingerie is actually too “nice” to wear it. But when her fiancé says “ I do” to someone else, Delaney decides to change her image. And she’s going to start by going through with the boudoir photos she’d arranged for her groom-to-be. Only, little does she guess the once photographer Sam Martelli sets eyes on her, he’ll insist on putting himself in the picture…

Sam has photographed hundreds of beautiful women, but none have affected him like Delaney. Even before she strips down to just a whisper of silk, casting off her inhibitions as well as her clothes, he has to have her. And thanks to a power failure, he does….again and again. But once the lights come back on, can Sam convince her that their one night was more than just a case of indecent exposure….?

Meh. This isn’t bad, but it isn’t great. Delaney is slightly annoying especially with the drama near end of the book. Oof. Sam and his quickening were all right I guess.

It is spicy which I don’t mind. The problem it’s the sex scenes is that there are soooooo many. They become repetitive and monotonous. I started skimming through them after at least the last 50% of the book just looking for more dialogue. I was searching for more story.
It’s odd because we get the instalove from Sam and his quickening, but I didn’t really get a sense of Delaney’s growing love for Sam during the story. It’s just mostly sex fest with some estate tours and photo sessions thrown in. Even Delaney’s insecurity kind of disappears without discussion.

The brief police brutality in this toward the end didn’t age well and it is cringe. Ick. My copy of this book is from Dec 2003. That neighbor needs to be put in her place. The neighbor had already seen Sam before at Delaney’s house so why sic her cop son on him. Weird. Mind your own business.

I’m going to pass on anything else by this author.
