Will the older biker change his bachelor ways and tie the knot with the sweet, shy florist?
Lena
At thirty-two years old, I still have my V-card, and at this point, I’m convinced that will never change. After getting diagnosed with vaginismus, my love life became non-existent.
As a florist, I’m too busy to bother with romance anyway. My days are filled with flowers and I love every second of it.
Then he walks into my shop. Reuben “Ironside” Calhoun, Vice President of the local motorcycle club, The Reckless Order. With tattoo sleeves, wearing black leather and jeans, he’s a silver fox that catches my eye right away.
But there’s no chance that a sexy, experienced man like him would want anything to do with an awkward virgin like me.
Ironside
The first time I laid eyes on Lena Holbrook, owner and florist of The Bellflower, I was hooked. This delicate, elegant creature with flowers in her arms, dreamy green eyes, and strawberry blonde locks had completely captivated my attention.
But I’m a gruff, calloused biker nearly twenty years older than her. She’s all sweetness and shy glances. We’re total opposites in every sense of the word.
That doesn’t stop me from craving her so blindly, so desperately that I find myself drawn back to her, again and again, like a moth to the flame.
After fifty years of being a bachelor, I’ve finally found the woman I want to call my wife. Will she say yes? Or will she slip through my fingers, leaving me forever tortured by the one who got away?
Ironside is the VP of the Reckless Order MC and Lena is the owner of a flower shop which Ironside goes to for flowers one day. There is instant attraction on both parts but they both are dealing with some heavy issues. Ironside was once in love and left by his fiancé without a backwards glance and Lena is dealing with a debilitating health issue affecting her intimacy with men. The patience and care that Ironside shows Lena is heartwarming.
This was a story about two people who were willing to take a chance on the other and their journey to find their HEA.
Ironside is a heartfelt romance that beautifully reminds us the right person doesn't see our insecurities first—they see our worth. Blending an age-gap romance, small-town charm, a protective biker, and a story of patience and acceptance, this book delivers far more than sizzling chemistry. It tells a deeply encouraging story about finding someone who loves you exactly as you are.
Lena immediately captured my heart. As the owner of a flower shop, she's kind, hardworking, and quietly carries years of self-doubt after living with vaginismus and believing it has placed love forever out of reach. Watching her navigate those fears felt authentic and deeply moving. Her journey isn't about becoming someone different—it's about learning that she has always been worthy of love.
Then there's Ironside.
Reuben "Ironside" Calhoun is everything you'd hope for in a silver fox biker hero. Gruff on the outside but endlessly gentle with the woman he loves, he completely stole my heart. After years of believing his chance at lasting love had passed him by, one visit to Lena's flower shop changes everything. From that moment forward, his devotion never wavers. His patience, reassurance, and unwavering support make him one of the most memorable heroes I've read in a long time.
What I appreciated most was how naturally their relationship develops. Ironside never tries to rush Lena or make her feel broken. Instead, he creates a relationship built on trust, communication, and genuine care. Every step forward is taken together, making their growing connection feel incredibly rewarding.
The story also shines a light on a medical condition that isn't often represented in romance. It does so with compassion and sensitivity, showing that intimacy isn't measured by perfection but by mutual respect, patience, and feeling safe with the person beside you. That representation gives the romance even greater meaning while remaining hopeful and uplifting.
The supporting cast and motorcycle club community add warmth and humor throughout the story, creating a close-knit atmosphere that perfectly complements Lena and Ironside's journey. Even with the rugged biker backdrop, this is ultimately a story about tenderness, acceptance, and choosing each other every single day.
If you love protective silver fox bikers, age-gap romance, small-town settings, found family, patient heroes, and stories that celebrate love built on trust and unwavering devotion, Ironside is one I highly recommend.
Some people spend years believing they're too damaged to be loved. This story beautifully reminds us that the right person won't ask you to change who you are—they'll simply stand beside you, believe in you, and make sure you never face your fears alone again.

She feared her body made love impossible. He proved otherwise.
Lena has spent years believing love isn't meant for someone like her. Between pain and too many disappointments, she's poured everything into her flower shop instead of her heart. Then a gruff, silver-haired biker walks through her door and sees past the insecurities she's spent years hiding.
Ironside has spent years convinced his chance at love is behind him. As vice president of his motorcycle club, he's built a steady life, but not the future he once imagined. Lena changes that with one shy smile, and he's determined to earn her trust without asking her to become someone she doesn't have to be.
What begins as undeniable attraction grows into something deeper as they face fear and old wounds together. Every setback asks them to choose honesty over shame, patience over pressure, and support over easy answers. Their bond proves healing begins when someone makes you feel safe enough to believe in yourself again.
Lena slowly releases the belief that her body makes her unworthy of love, learning to embrace vulnerability, trust, and hope. Ironside lets go of years spent guarding his heart, discovering that quiet reassurance and devotion are the future he's been missing. Together, they create a relationship where emotional safety comes first, allowing love and intimacy to grow side by side.
An ultra-steamy, age gap, biker, small town romance filled with patient intimacy, emotional healing, found family, and unwavering devotion. It explores vulnerability, body image, trust, reassurance, acceptance, communication, and the strength of choosing love without conditions. It's about discovering that the right person doesn't ask for perfection, only honesty, and that the deepest intimacy is built through patience, safety, and believing you're worthy of forever.
The Elevator Pitch: A shy florist convinced that love will always remain out of reach collides with a silver-haired biker who sees possibility where she only sees fear. As trust slowly replaces shame, every vulnerable step draws them closer to a future neither believed they deserved. Their greatest challenge isn't whether desire exists between them, but whether love can become stronger than the doubts they carry.
Set aside every expectation the word "MC" conjures. There is not a single chase scene, territorial dispute, or morally ambiguous back-room deal to be found. Ironside is, in the most disarming and deliberate way, a love story about patience, and it is quietly one of the most affecting romances this reader has encountered in some time. What arrives instead is something considerably quieter and, it turns out, considerably more difficult to put down: a study in what genuine devotion actually looks like when stripped of grand gestures and dramatic declarations. Two people, a considerable age gap between them, finding their way toward one another with a slowness that feels less like restraint and more like respect. The rugged exterior of the world they inhabit is largely set dressing. The real architecture here is emotional, and Bell builds it with care. The heroine carries something private and long-carried, a belief so deeply embedded it has quietly shaped every decision she has made about her own worthiness. Watching that belief encounter someone who simply does not share it, who looks at her and sees something she has never quite managed to see herself, is the engine of the book and it runs beautifully. Her journey is not one of transformation but of recognition, which is a subtler and more rewarding thing entirely. The hero is, not to overstate the case, a masterclass in what patient devotion looks like on the page. Unhurried, unwavering, and entirely without agenda beyond making sure the person beside him never has cause to doubt that she is exactly enough. Readers who appreciate a protective archetype delivered with genuine emotional intelligence will find him very difficult to forget. Bell also navigates territory that romance fiction rarely visits, doing so with a sensitivity that never tips into didacticism. The result is a story that feels both specific and universal: a reminder that intimacy is built from safety and trust long before anything else, and that the right person measures nothing against you. Warm, unhurried, and quietly wonderful.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 Stars – A Heartfelt Age-Gap Romance with Tenderness, Acceptance, and a Protective Silver Fox 🏍️🌸❤️
Ironside is a sweet and steamy opposites-attract romance that proves love isn’t about age or experience—it’s about finding the person who makes you feel completely accepted.
Lena is an incredibly relatable heroine. Her insecurities and struggles with vaginismus are handled with compassion, making her journey toward trusting herself and opening her heart feel authentic and uplifting. As a florist, her gentle nature and quiet strength make her easy to root for.
Ironside is everything you could want in a silver fox hero. Gruff on the outside but endlessly patient and caring underneath, he’s completely devoted to Lena from the moment they meet. Rather than trying to change her, he accepts her exactly as she is, making their romance feel both swoony and deeply supportive.
The age-gap and opposites-attract dynamic creates plenty of chemistry, while the emotional connection between the characters keeps the story grounded. Despite being a shorter romance, the relationship develops naturally and leaves readers with a satisfying happily-ever-after.
✨ What I loved:
* 🏍️ Protective silver fox biker hero * 🌸 Sweet, shy florist heroine * ❤️ Compassionate representation of vaginismus * 💕 Age-gap and opposites-attract romance * 🤗 Patient, respectful hero * 🌼 Emotional healing and acceptance * 🔥 Steamy romance balanced with heartfelt moments * 💍 A satisfying happily-ever-after
The story balances tenderness, romance, and emotional vulnerability beautifully, showing that the strongest relationships are built on trust, patience, and unconditional acceptance.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A touching, feel-good MC romance with lovable characters, genuine emotional depth, and a silver fox hero who proves that true love embraces every part of the person you love. 🏍️🌸❤️✨.

Ironside (original name Reuben Calhoun) is at The Bellflower shop, to pick up some flowers for Tarzan’s wife Keely, who just had her second baby. But when he sees the proprietor of the shop, Lena, he knows he’s found something good. She’s tall, curvy, and sweet, and he’ll do whatever it takes to make her his, even though he’s twenty or so years her senior.
Lena is in her thirties and, to her chagrin, is has never had sex. She has a condition that makes intercourse extremely painful, and has been dumped or passed over for most of her adult life. But when she meets Ironside, she’s struck by how romantic he is, especially as he’s the VP of the Reckless Order MC. He asks her out, she accepts, but she worries that this will be another failed attempt at finding satisfaction.
Lena is also tall, at six feet high, and that and her condition make it difficult to turn any man’s head. But Ironside is not any man. He’s been through heartbreak as well, and wasn’t really looking to find someone after his fiancé dumped him a couple of years ago. It makes sense that these two would be drawn together, as they understand those hard knocks of life.
If you haven’t guessed yet, this book is steamy.
I love how patient and loving Ironside is, especially as Lena wants to be intimate, but it’s too physically painful. He’s willing to go the distance, helping in any way he can to make her feel comfortable and not ashamed. Lena finds it difficult to believe that he could be so patient, so loving, all while trying to help her get to where she wants to be with intimacy. Though they have a stumble here and there, overall, these two are a power couple, and they get the happy ending they deserve. So, get the book, won’t you? And learn a bit about a real medical condition that affects more people than you might think.
This was a sweet, heartfelt MC romance that balanced emotional vulnerability with plenty of chemistry. While it has the protective biker hero you’d expect, the story stands out because it’s really about two people finding confidence and acceptance in each other.
Lena was an easy heroine to root for. Her struggles with vaginismus are handled with empathy and respect rather than being used as unnecessary drama. She’s shy, kind, and passionate about her flower shop, and watching her slowly learn to trust herself—and Ironside—made for an emotional journey.
Ironside is everything you’d want in a mature biker hero. As the fifty-year-old vice president of the motorcycle club, he’s gruff on the outside but incredibly patient, gentle, and devoted once he falls for Lena. The nearly twenty-year age gap could have felt uncomfortable, but the relationship develops naturally, with both characters treated as mature adults.
The romance is a slow burn filled with longing, protective moments, and genuine tenderness. Ironside never pressures Lena, instead giving her the reassurance and support she needs. Their growing emotional intimacy is just as satisfying as the physical relationship, making their eventual commitment feel well earned.
Overall, this was a warm, emotional romance with lovable characters, thoughtful representation of a real medical condition, and a silver fox biker hero who’s impossible not to fall for. If you enjoy protective MC heroes, shy heroines, and stories where love is built on patience and trust, this is definitely worth picking up.

Ironside by Audrey Bell is the fourth title in The Reckless Order MC series and was an entertaining read and my new favourite of the series so far. It is a steamy small town, age gap, biker romance, with an interesting plot and storyline following the likeable and engaging main characters of Lena and Reuben/Ironside. Lena at thirty-two is busy running her own florist shop. She has all but given up on love and romance and stills holds her V-card as she was diagnosed with a medical condition which makes intimate sex almost impossible. Lena's past experiences with relationships are limited as the men once aware of her condition didn't stick around. Reuben/Ironside is almost twenty years older than Lena and is the VP and confirmed bachelor of the MC having been burnt a long time ago by his then only love. Never expecting or wanting another chance at love Ironside finds he is immediately attracted to the curvy, gorgeous florist and pursues her into accepting an invitation for a date. Lena is hesitant due to past experiences but the silver fox, confident biker has caught her eye and when she takes the chance they get to know one another. His acceptance, tolerance and patience after learning of Lena's condition confirmed this as a sweet story. Ironside quickly realises he is re-evaluating his future and sees one with Lena in it and their gradual building romance with plenty of steam and spice easily kept me turning the pages right through to the well deserved and satisfying HEA.

Such a riveting and pleasurable read by a wonderful author - this may be a novella but with its loving spiciness, it packs a punch! There are themes of past bullying, past betrayal, emotional and medical damage but it has an MC light flavor and is told with heart and heat.
Lena is a ball of sunshine and runs her own flower shop with sweetness and panache, but it came at the cost of her past life filled with awkwardness, bullying and solitude. She has shaken all that off and longs for someone to be patient and kind with her as a loving partner. Her medical issue impacts her everyday life and she struggles with being worthy enough to be seen as someone special.
Reuben/Ironside is the silver fox VP of the Reckless Order MC and he has been a bachelor for many years, as he was betrayed decades ago by someone he thought of as the love of his life. He calls in to Lena’s Bellflower shop to buy a baby girl bouquet and ends up meeting a kindhearted woman who brings endless light and happiness to his future.
Together they overcome Lena’s medical issues and Ironside’s slight relationship aversion to become a loving couple that lives a sweet and spicy life, in amongst all the crazy characters that make up the Reckless Order brotherhood family. I have thoroughly enjoyed the hours of respite this reading has gifted me and thank the author for giving me the opportunity to enjoy the arc and provide my voluntary review.
First the good. I thought that it was brave of Bell to write a heroine with physical difficulties that caused sexual dysfunction. The challenge of writing sexytime that didn’t involve inserting tab A into slot B is real, and Bell does a really good job. The upside of this is they both upped their Australia game (as in going down…under). And it was hot.
Then the neutral. The characters would get all hot and bothered and the reading was getting sexier and they’d try tab C in slot B (they knew that tab A wouldn’t work right away) and it would build…. Then it didn’t work. This was excruciating for the reader, but really a skillful way to underline the absolute frustration for people with the medical condition and their partners. So it’s a draw.
Then the not good. I didn’t feel a real connection between Ironside and Lena except when it came to her condition. The book became about penetrative sex, which is ironic seeing as how she wasn’t able to have any. The bond between them, after a minimum of light flirting, formed because he was willing to adapt to her abilities and disabilities. I mean, it’s great that he was a decent person and a grownup, but I didn’t see an emotional connection or mental chemistry.

This was such a heartfelt and engaging addition to The Reckless Order MC series! Ironside delivers the kind of opposites-attract romance that is easy to get swept up in, with a gruff, loyal biker hero and a sweet, quietly strong florist who immediately stole my heart. The age gap, the emotional vulnerability, and the instant pull between Lena and Reuben give the story a warm, addictive energy from the very beginning.
I especially loved how Lena’s tenderness and insecurity were handled with care, making her feel relatable and easy to root for. Ironside’s devotion is equally compelling—protective, determined, and completely smitten in a way that makes the romance feel both intense and genuinely sweet. Their chemistry shines because it is built on admiration, patience, and the sense that these two people see something precious in each other.
If you enjoy motorcycle club romance with a protective hero, a shy but resilient heroine, emotional stakes, and a swoony happily-ever-after feel, this book is absolutely worth picking up. It is romantic, heartfelt, and wonderfully satisfying—an easy five-star read for fans of passionate, character-driven love stories.

This biker romance is about much more than the relationship between its two main characters. While it features an older biker and a heroine in her mid-thirties, the story also explores topics such as reproductive health, involuntary childlessness, and finding a partner who accepts and values you despite life's unexpected challenges.
I appreciated the way these themes were woven into the story. They add emotional depth and make the romance feel more meaningful than a typical biker romance. The heroine's journey, in particular, is handled with compassion, and it was refreshing to see a relationship built on acceptance, support, and understanding.
The only aspect that didn't completely work for me was the age gap. Although it wasn't extreme, it was noticeable enough that I never fully connected with that part of the romance. That's a personal preference, however, and it didn't take away from the emotional core of the story.
Overall, this is a heartfelt and engaging romance with likable characters and thoughtful themes. If you're looking for a biker romance that balances emotional issues with a caring, supportive relationship, this is a worthwhile read.

Reuben "Ironside" Calhoun thought he would never find love again after his fiancée broke up with him in his 20s. Now in his 50s, he knows he'll always be a grumpy old bachelor. He wants a loving relationship and a child, but has decided to just be happy as the vice president of The Reckless Order MC.
Lena "Petal" Holbrook is in her 30s, is a virgin and has never been in a relationship. She has a medical problem that makes it hard to have sex. She also got bullied growing up because she was so tall, so she never tried dating until college, and that was a disaster. She longs for a loving relationship and a child, but has accepted that it will never happen.
What happens when an older, grumpy biker walks into a younger woman's flower shop to purchase flowers for the birth of his biker brother's baby, but instead falls in love with the love of his life and is willing to do whatever is needed to get her and keep her?
This is part of The Reckless Order MC and another book you don't want to miss. I couldn't put it down.

Lena's been waiting for a patient man that can handle her uniqueness. Reuben aka Ironside, may just be the one. With a few more years under his belt, he knows what he wants
“Like I said, there’s more than one way to get each other off, sweetheart. And I’m just getting started.” This was officially the best first date of my life.'
With a medical condition that challenges conventional intimacy, Lena's overwhelmed with Ironside's determination to prove they can have a life worth fighting for
“I’m sorry,” she mumbled against my bicep. “No apologies, remember?” “I know,” she sighed. “I just wish my body would work the way I want it to.” I kissed the back of her neck, holding her tighter. Lena was here, in my bed, in my arms, in my home, and that’s all I cared about.
A fantastic story with beautiful characters that touch on realistic issues. A hard won HEA with extended epilogue.

Lena owned a flower shop. She was a young woman who had pretty much given up on romance or love. Ironside is a much older silver fox who walks into the flower shop and is mesmerized by Lena. Ironside is in a MC and he once had his heart badly broken by a woman many years ago. He wasn’t looking for love but once he saw Lena he was willing to reevaluate. Ironside asked her out and she went but later admitted to him that she had a condition that made it nearly impossible for them to have sex where he would penetrate her. This story is really so sweet and tender because Ironside does his best to reassure her that they can still be even if they are unable to make love or have children. Even woman needs an Ironside who will bolster your spirit and support you unanimously. Great story loved the discussion concerning her condition and they was it was handled this may help other woman who have this same condition.
This was such a great read. Ironside is an older Biker who thought his chance at love happened twenty five years ago. He never expected the pretty florist to make his heart beat faster. I absolutely loved this story. Ironside the bad boy VP was so patient, loving and kind to Lena. He understood her body limitations and accepted her abilities with patience and grace. Everyone needs a bad boy hottie like Ironside in their life.
Ironside is the VP of the Reckless Order MC. He is older, more experienced and has not dated seriously in twenty five years. He goes to the flower shop to buy flowers for the new baby in his club when he meets Lena. Lena is the owner of the Bellflower florist shop. She is instantly attracted to Ironsides but if her past relationships are any clue he is way old of her league. She suffers from a medical condition that has limited her ability to have sex.

IRONSIDE is the fourth novella in The Reckless Order MC series, and it's time for the grizzled VP to find love. Lena has a flower shop and is content with that. With a medical condition that makes even dating difficult, she thinks she will never find love. So what happens when these two meet?
As with all these novellas, it is fast-paced and hot. It is also full of men who will do anything for the woman they love and will fight to keep them. Ironside wants Lena. Full stop. He falls fast and isn't afraid to show it. He is also old enough to know that penetrative s3x isn't everything, and he certainly isn't afraid to show Lena just what talents age can bring.
I love this MC, and can't wait to read more. Each story leaves me with a smile. Definitely recommended by me. 4.5 rounded up

Ironside, a bachelor in his 50s whose fiancée left him years ago, meets Lena when he stops at her florist shop. Their connection is instant, with clear physical attraction from the beginning. He is strong, patient, and willing to support Lena through her physical challenges. After several painful relationships, Lena finally finds someone kind and understanding—someone who respects her limits and is willing to find creative ways to make their relationship work. This steamy, heartfelt story drew me in right away. Lena’s medical condition has made her doubt whether a future is possible, but Ironside’s patience helps her believe it is. Past partners gave up when things became difficult, but he stays. In the end, they get the future they deserve. It is an emotional journey that feels truly worthwhile.
MC romance. Lena is a young woman suffering from vaginismus, a condition that has ruined many of her past relationships. She never expected the sexy biker who walked into her flower shop to challenge her lack of a love life. Ironside is an MC member who has been single for years following a messy breakup. But when he walks into a flower shop and spots the stunning young woman behind the counter, he knows his days as a bachelor are numbered. He realizes, however, that he’ll have to pull out all the stops to win over this sweet woman. Will Lena and Ironside find a happy ending, or will Lena’s condition and Ironside’s insecurities tear them apart…
I absolutely loved this story about an older biker falling hard for a sweet, innocent woman.

The minute he stepped into the flower shop he’s taken with the curvy little florist. She is sweet and has an innocence about her. That is simply charming. The older biker is so handsome and kind to her and when he wants to take her out, she really wants to go, however, she is scared these things never work out for her. Having a condition that makes intimacy difficult only complicates things further. But he makes her want to take a chance. This one has the trappings of a biker romance with the club and the brotherhood. However, he is nothing but a gentleman for the beauty who wants to claim for his own. This one has a lot of tenderness and sweetness as they both navigate some unfamiliar territory with kindness, patience, and passion. He is the perfect example of showing up.

Ironside asks her out for dinner and invites her to the MC’s charity ride. Lena fits perfectly in, into his life and also gets along well with his friends at the MC. But their road to happily ever after isn’t as easy as it seems …. Reuben has endless patience and understanding for Lena who’s a bit insecure in her skin.

Ironside is in his 50s and a bachelor since his fiancee left him years ago. He meets Lena when he stops by her Florist shop. She's a virgin in her 30s because she suffers from Vaginismus. They both fall hard and fast, and the physical attraction is right there from the beginning. Ironside takes her out, cooks for her, and invites her to meet his club. He's an amazing strong patient man who is willing to work with Lena on her physical issues. Lena has had some bad relationships in the past so it's great to see her meet a decent man who understands her physical limitations and is willing to be patient and work with her. He's also willing to be "creative". It was a fun, spicy heartwarming story.

This was such a different story. Lena had a condition that made having sex hard and in her 30s she thought love was just impossible. Ironside, was an older biker guy that after years of being alone didn't thought marriage was in his future. Reuben (Ironside) was so tender, so understanding, such a good man, that you didn't really think about him being part of an MC until the interactions with the club. I felt the frustration of Lena, and it made me cry every time. I thought it was different but nice and real.

I love Lena and Reuben! She is an amazing woman who has had some disturbing dating horrors because of an intimate health issue. He is a surprisingly sensitive MC club member that is blown away by Lena. Instant attraction for them both. He has his own romantic horror story, so doesn't mess around with Lena. His blunt honesty with her is refreshing. The way Rueben respects and loves Lena makes him one of the sweetest characters I've come across.
Their love story may be quick, but it is full of desire, love and hope.

This is book 4 in The Reckless Order MC series. Tropes: age gap, biker, motorcycle club, flower shop owner, medical condition, and innocent FMC. Lena owns a flower shop and given up dating due to her medical condition. Ironside is an older biker who doesn't do serious until he meets Lena. I like how mature both characters were. Ironside was in his early 50's where Lena was in her early 30's both accomplished in their own way. Ironside had a soft side when it came to Lena which was so sweet. Enjoyed their relationship. Liked the other characters as well.

'After fifty years of being a bachelor, I’ve finally found the woman I want to call my wife. Will she say yes? Or will she slip through my fingers, leaving me forever tortured by the one who got away?'
The characters were very appealing and likeable and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building was excellent and solidly drawn. All in all a great addition to the series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

Lena was working at her flower shop when Rueben “Ironside” walked in for a bouquet of flowers. One look at her and he was already falling. Lena hadn’t dated in years due to a medical condition that had ruined the few previous relationships she had. He didn’t push but she accepted and they really hit it off. When she explained her situation he didn’t even blink. True to his word, he didn’t cared and came up with solutions to the problem they now shared. This was an amazing read and addition to the series.
