If you're in search of a short read packed with triggering chaos, look no further.
First off, how could you hit me with that ending!! 😂 Secondly, I absolutely loved this story. I could not put it down. The connection between Dream and Felix 🥵. The way the drama had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. I need more immediately! The way my jaw is still dropped.
I absolutely devoured this! I was hooked from the very first page. Felix and Dream are both completely unhinged in the best way, and I couldn't get enough of them! I already loved Dream in Sour, but getting her story made me adore her even more. The twins have kush while Felix and Dream have Lady Zaza, a pretty magenta tarantula. I can't wait to see what's to come in Feast!
Amazing 3rd book in the Special Brownies series, follows Felix & Dream. Happens between Burnt and Sour, I highly recommend reading both Baked & Burnt before reading this book.
This book!! Loved it, amazing! When I read Sour, I was instantly intrigued by Dream as a character and wanted to know more about her and how/why she ended up in Wellard Asylum. This book made me love her as a character even more and I loved learning more about her.
Loved how this book started how Burnt ended. The storyline kept me hooked and I devoured this book in one sitting (like all other books in this series too). And I loved seeing Haze & Indi from Baked & Burnt! And of course Kush was mentioned too.
The chemistry between Dream and Felix was great and I loved how their relationship started with him stalking her and wanting to keep her safe, and developed into deep understanding and pinky promises to always be there for each other. And they truly were there for each other, in every situation.
The ending broke my heart for Dream. And I feel like I need to reread Sour (even though I just finished rereading it) now that I know what really happened to her before Wellard.
I can’t wait to read Feast, the fifth and final book in the Special Brownies series!
“Cotton…tail? Like the rabbit?” “Sleep tight, cottontail. As long as I'm here, you’re safe.” “I’ve always heard that stalkers can escalate to violence…but I’m not like most girls. I won’t shy away from it.” “What’re you waiting for? Break me, Felix.” “For someone who smells like sunshine, you sure are a dark little storm cloud.”
I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Receiving ARC didn’t affect my opinion of the book.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I had the pleasure of reading this as an ARC, and I absolutely loved it! I love this series so much. The twins already had me hooked, but then you throw Felix and Dream into the mix, and somehow it just keeps getting better and better. The instant attraction between Felix and Dream was everything. Their chemistry was undeniable from the very beginning, and watching their relationship grow was so much fun. They complemented each other perfectly, and I couldn't get enough of them.
I also loved that the twins weren't just mentioned in passing—they were fully integrated into the storyline and played an important role in the plot. It made the book feel even more connected to the rest of the series.
Now... can we talk about Lady Zaza? 😂😂 I definitely did not see that coming! As someone with a phobia of tiny eight-legged creatures, I had some feelings. 🤣 But seeing Felix grow to care for Lady Zaza simply because he loves Dream was both hilarious and oddly sweet.
The plot was plotting, the characters were lovable, and I enjoyed every second of the ride this book took me on. This series just keeps getting better, and I can't wait to see what's next!
this was such an amazing book! I knew when I read sour that I was going to be so obsessed with her and I was and to be able to be in her actual headspace was such a joy. I was obsessed from the first page and I couldn’t stop devouring this book. I absolutely love this series and I can’t wait for the next one to utterly wreck havoc on my heart. this author knows how to wrap me around her finger and I never want it to stop. I love these two so much. I didn’t know what to expect going in but by the end I was absolutely obsessed with everything about this. I seriously can’t wait for feast! thank you so much for this arc.
This might be my favourite Ab. Cynthe book to date and I never thought I would say that. Dream and Felix are perfect mix of crazy, beautiful, scary, and just heart-meltingly sweet. It's slightly Joker and Harley-esque, which I LOVE, but even "sweeter". You just should really read both Sour, and Baked, and Burnt in advance so you have some insight on the other characters before you dive in.
The vibes of the book were an absolute 10/10, which is unsurprising. But give me a bright, neon club vibe, but also grungy, underground networks and merge them together? Absolutely gorgeous, stunning, perfect. And Hui?! Love him. I need more of him.
As for the characters, I love how we get more of Dream and Felix. I adore seeing their other sides, and how Dream isn't just crazy and wild, but she's also soft and sweet and not someone to be messed with. And how Felix isn't just this mercenary who is married to the job, but also a little crazy when it comes to his girl, and a little sweet and musy. It was just... I absolutely loved it.
Out of my mind obsessed with Sweet! It’s book 3 in the Special Brownies series and it gives you grungy club vibes, a whole lot of stalking, obsession, a delightfully true to herself cam girl/DJ, a mercenary with a temper, gaming, and a really freaking cute romance. Until it’s not and Dream becomes leverage and Felix has to bring in his siblings, the ever popular and at this point notorious twins, Haze and Indigo. Making this a family affair where bullets fly, knife wounds are present and accounted for, Lady ZaZa makes her grand entrance, and your heart totally tumbles for Felix and Dream, each and every moment they’re together, and every single one of her strangely adorable quirks and his whole brand of protective. Yes, the ending will kinda crush you, but… so worth it. Gooey sweet enough for a toothache, unhinged in all the right ways, with an EXTRA nice spice, chalk up another must read for Ab. Cynthe and a million more reasons to be addicted to the Osvaldo family!
Screaming!!!!!!! Sour was the first book I read in this series. Crazy, I know! But as these were being released, they fell into a different order. I was obsessed with Dream in Sour. Her backstory was so mysterious. Her trauma, so real. Her crazy, perfection. Her never failing optimism, bittersweet. Her abuse, guttingly heart wrenching. Then you give me Sweet?!?!?!?! I'm sitting here cussing while having all of these flashbacks of Sour. I AM DEVASTATED!!!! What do you mean you've given me 2 books of Dreams torture?!?!?! What do you mean my suffering has grown? What do you mean I'm stuck here waiting on a cliffhanger that I've really already gotten teasers for in the form of Sour... in the form of "but wait, it gets worse." OMG. This cannot be a 4 book series. Tell me there is more for Felix and Danika. Tell me they get some wins. Oh the treachery. My heart.
ahhhhh i’ve been waiting on this book ever since i met Dream in Sour 🤭 her character was so interesting to me!
i loved seeing how everything played out and now knowing how she ended up in wellard asylum is great! & knowing what i know now, it makes me want to re-read Sour now for the Dream parts!
Dream & Felix are both crazy as hell. they definitely matched each other’s freak 🥰 This was such a great installment in the special brownies series! i love the Haze & Indie cameos and the Kush mention hehe 🐱 i wish this was longer! i need more per usual so im excited for Feast 👀
Sweet tropes: 🐰 Dark romance 🎮 gamers 🐰 mutual obsession 🎮 stalking (physical/virtually) 🐰 cam girl x mercenary
NO YOU CANNOT END THE BOOK LIKE THAT!! Ugh, sorry I loved burnt and baked but sweet is the book I needed. I love Dream and Felix. I read sour first before I read any of these other books and honestly it's better to read sour after sweet. Because there's so much things now that I think about that would have clicked so much better if I read sweet first because dream is talked about in sour. But man I honestly love Dream. She's like, a baddie with a crazy attitude! And Felix, useful to actually like Felix a lot more because sadly you understand him more. But don't mess with the green eyes because once you get that, good luck coming back. But this book is a must read. Like I said I'd read it before sour because you would start to understand a lot more about dream and everything that happens. I literally cannot wait for the next book because I need to know what happens after!!
Dream & Felix are up there with my favorite couples. 😍 There has to be a trope like joker and harlequin, the my crazy meets your crazy and the sparks are sparking! I love them! You should read Baked & Burnt before jumping into this one as to not get spoilers for that couple before this one but it also introduces Felix and you get a glimpse of how crazy he really is before he falls into his obsession with Dream. Love them, love all of AB. Cynthe’s books and how they are all interconnected. That’s one way to get me to ride hard for an author is to give me bits and pieces of characters in every book because then I knew them before really knowing them. It’s like they grow with you and I’m a sucker for it. I’ll never stop begging for more. 💕
Thank you Ab. Cynthe for the Pre-release Copy. My honest review below is posted voluntarily.
Two of my favorite quotes.
> “You’re mine, cottontail. Mine. And I’m fucking crazy about you.”
> “I love all of you, Felix. Good… bad…. crazy. All of it.”
Dream..oh man. I love her! She is so crazy and broken but loves SO hard! Actually make that Dream and Felix! They are truly made for each other. I really love how sharp she is at noticing the little things too, and how her vibe is just so carefree.
Enjoyed Haze and Indi's part in the story too, that car chase was exciting!
Sweet was not long enough for me, I could have read so much more of them. I absolutely love this world that Ab. Cynthe has created.
The story is well written and I was excited to be back in this world as well as read about characters form the previous books. However, this was definitely my least favourite so far. Dream comes off as child. Which I get that that was part of the goal, the e whole childishly crazy bit. But with Dream it felt like she was a child and not childish in a cute but psycho way.
Felix doesn't know WTF is going on. He spends a majority of the book running around like a chicken with its head cut off.
And lastly, other than trying to hack into Kief's organisation's systems, charlotte's web was playing defense the whole book. With all their connections and such, I'd have expect s more initiative.
“… and just then, I knew I had finally found my person. And he was just as crazy as me.”
Ugh!!! This was such a great read!! I love Felix and Dream separately but together they are unstoppable! The way they love and understand each other fully is so beautiful. They give off a little Harley/Joker vibe. I’m obsessed!!!
The ending destroyed me and I hope to see more of the Osvaldo family and Dream! 🖤 I went in without having read 𝓢𝓸𝓾𝓻 and fell for Dream immediately. I can’t wait to go back to the beginning and see how much more my love for her and this book grows! 😍 It’s definitely one of my top favorites from Ab.
Dream & Felix were such a vibe. Dream fits her name. A performer in all since of the word and infatuates Felix from the start. She’s got a bratty attitude (which I love) that keeps him chasing. Groveling if you will.
Felix is an ex soldier. With a gnarly past. He’s a ghost. But nothing is safe from him😉 Keeping low from the underground. Until cousin shows up again and tries to take the one thing that’s off limits. All hell breaks loose and it’s a fun ride.
They’re a feisty couple and I love them so much. Sweet was a sweet time and my favorite in the series.
This is the 3rd book in the Special Brownies series. It happens between Burnt and Sour, and you should read Baked and Burnt before you read this one so you know the characters and the setting (Wellard Asylum is its own world).
We start here at the ending of Burnt, and we focus on Felix and Dream. Their chemistry is strong, and they are a good match for each other. I loved seeing the other characters from the series in this story, and I enjoyed getting more of Dream since she was so interesting in Sour.
A fun read - I can't wait to see Feast, the last book in the series!
i have been waitingggg for this one. i’ve LOVED dream since sour and knew id love her even more in sweet. this book was such a wild ride and i’ll never get over it. felix and dream are a match made in heaven, no one can convince me otherwise. Dream is like your perfect e-girl who’s a bit unhinged and honestly quite perfect. Felix is so brooding, possessive and “touch her & die” (quite literally) The vibes in this book were soooo good i could go on forever honestly. I LOVE this series and can’t wait to see what’s next! Thank you cyn & emma for an arc of this book and HAPPY RELEASE DAYYY!!
If you read burnt and immediately wanted to get to know Felix then you’re in the right place.
The special brownies series is definitely one you might want to read in order.
Baked Burnt Sweet Sour Feast (coming soon)
The “meet cute” between Felix and Dream might actually be my favorite that Cyn has ever written. Immediately I was kicking my feet and cheering Felix on.
I love how they are so equally matched. Felix shows his crazy and Dream just loves him more because of it. Like two missing pieces coming together.
I love how everytime Felix thinks he’s gone too far Dream is matching him step for step. I will say this left me wanting more of the secret societies and I cannot wait for Feast!
Things you can expect:
💓Secret Society 🍭Rope Bunny 💓Dark Romance 🍭Mercenary MMC x Cam Girl FMC 💓Couples who game together 🍭Unexpected pets 💓Both arr equally obsesssd 🍭St@lking
In order to understand Sweet make sure you read BAKED AND BURNT FIRST!! Alright let me begin by saying that Ab new exactly what they were doing when they wrote Sweet, Sweet has town my world apart!!! It was such an amazing & emotional ride with a twisty twist here. I couldn’t get yuenough of Felix and Dream’s relationship it took the title literally because that is how their relationship was SWEET😭
And yes, expect our favorite unhinged Twins to make an appearance because I knew I was waiting for them🫢
Sweet by Ab. Cynthe is book three in the special brownies series and I think this may be my favourite one in the series so far! You don’t really need to read the first two books in the series but why would you not?!? Then are amazing!
Our FMC in this book is called Dream and I am OBSESSED with her, a cute, kawaii gamer chick with a pink spider! Our MMC is Felix, who is related to Indi and Haze, yes we get more of them in this book! When Dream beats Felix in a shooting game online and he finds out it’s a girl, he sets his sights on her but can he stay away?
I loved this book it was short, spicy and sweet! Such a good story and please give us more of Dream in the next books I love her! This is definitely worth a read, I am hooked! Make sure to check your triggers before reading.
What to expect:
- Dark romance - DJ x Ex military - Cuban mafia - Mutual obsession - Rope bunny - Touch her and d1e - Return of Haze and Indi
I’m sorry, but WTAF!? 😱 The ending chapter was everything. Like a full circle moment. *enters Kronk voice “oh yeah, it’s all coming together”*
I love the twins, but I think Felix is definitely my favorite Osvaldo sibling for sure. Sweet was a good set up for all things future Felix. I do hope we get more and more of Felix and Dream.
This story felt a little slower than her other books, but I think it was necessary. It built up the tension between Felix and Kief. It was like waiting for the hammer to drop. The special brownies series is truly *chefs kiss*
I was anxiously awaiting this book to hit my kindle as the Special Brownies series is definitely one of my favorite series. Let me tell you, Sweet did not disappoint! I absolutely ADORED DREAM & FELIX! Honestly, I would like to put them both in my pocket to keep them safe and sound. They deserve their little bubble, damn it! Their own types of crazy blend so well and make for such a great couple!
But beware, the ending hurts like a butt cheek on a STICK.
Still, I loved this book. I loved Dream & Felix. I can’t wait for Feast!
Alright so starting off, I am obsessed with Felix and Dream. From their first interaction I knew that I was hooked. I knew I loved Dream from Sour and wanted more of her. She is equal parts adorable and fierce. This book took me for a ride that I wanted so badly to detour but knew I had to stick with it. Let’s just say it left me staring at a wall and wanting to immediately go read Sour again. Highly recommend!
I DEVOUR anything and everything Cynthe writes, and for good reasons. Her descriptions and characters are just so well written!
I fell in love with Dream when I read Sour, and I was so curious to hear more about her before she showed up in Wellard Asylum. Sweet did not disappoint in giving me more Dream and her background!
Felix Osvaldo will make anyone’s mouth water. He made me feral through this whole read.
I have been foaming at the mouth since this story was announced to get my grubby little paws on it and I was not disappointed. Dream and Felix were literally everything I loved them so much they were soo cute together. It definitely helped getting more pieces of the puzzle to see how other events came to be, and I absolutely cannot wait for the final book in this series to see who comes out of the woodworks and how things play out 💜💜
Omg🖤 I was so excited as the Book of Felix and Dream were announced and then as I started the book it consumed me. I‘m so in loved with the Characters. Dream and Felix has an Connection that have you in a chokehold and you can’t stop reading. And then the end hits you like a Train… why ?! 😭 What should I say… I loved every heartwrenching Moment and I need more. Absolutly loved Dream and Felix Story🖤
The writing in present and past tense was kinda weird for me and got confusing at times when the author mis-used them. As for Felix’s story well it was sweet. His love story was pretty vanilla compared to the twin’s story. However, the conflict picking up again and the ending of the book made up for it. I also was not expecting the Wellard Asylum tie in which i definitely appreciate and now look forward to reading the next book.
Felix and Dream were so so sweet. I loved their immediate recognition of being soulmates. This wasnt a instalove but a like calling to like that just made sense. One moment they were two people and then the next, they were one! So sweet.. except that rude cliffy. Buttt having read sour I'm even more upset and needing technically book 5 in this world!! Thank you ab cynthe for the ARC!
I highly recommend doing a re read of Baked and Burnt when reading Sweet and then go right into Sour. Ohhhh what a story
I LOVED IT
Scene: Indi threw the blunt out the window popped the glove box pieces together a Smith & Wesson M& P M 2.0 complete with a silencer…..
Something about that was soooo damn Sweet … obviously I’m still talking about it. I know that I am not her type and all cause she into her brother … but damn she can get it. 👅
