Molto carino, merita di essere riletto. Se non altro per la scena in cui lei, dopo aver passato ore a fingere che non volesse averci a che fare, lo seduce e lui si nega. E poi Denver non è il solito uomo bellissimo, finalmente, a volte fa errori ed è dolce da impazzire.
Note sulla cover originale: l’immagine è la stessa. Carina questa cosa che nella originale la maglietta di lei è verde e in quella nostrana sia diventata rossa. E l’aggiunta di quei fiocchi di neve? È uscito nel periodo natalizio, magari il motivo è tutto lì.

Carino, ma niente di che. La rilettura gli fa perdere lo smalto. La prima parte è ancora emozionante. È molto bello il momento in cui lei tenta di sedurlo solo per sfida e lui non ci sta. Poi però l’attenzione divaga verso il mistero e l’intrigo mi annoia al punto da concluderlo, ma niente di più. Libero di trovare altre lettrici.

The storyline was a little hard to believe - ex-plastic surgeon gets tired of fake values of LA and moves to New England city to work in a bar. Bar is run by ex-wild child, co-dependent ice cube manager who's secretly being blackmailed by an alcoholic ex-best friend for accidentally murdering her ex-boyfriend. Waay too many exes!

For a Blaze, the backstory is pretty dark. It wrapped up the Martini Dares nicely but the connection between Denver and Lindsay wasn't altogether believable. Having read the other MD books, I knew they'd be together but I wasn't expecting Lindsay to be as reserved or emotionally traumatized as she was. Made it hard for me to believe their relationship.
