The newest book in the Wilde Brothers series, featuring football star Jake Wilde, the youngest of the Wilde brothers. Jake Wilde has two loves, but neither is going his way.
Jake Wilde, the youngest of the Wilde brothers, has it all. He’s a pro football star with the woman of his dreams by his side…or so he thought.
In a desperate attempt to keep the woman he loves, he asks her to marry him. The last thing Jake Wilde expects is for her to turn him down and walk out the door at the same time that his football team decides to trade him.
Chris Jeger, a legal assistant and part-time cheerleader for the Cardinals, has been waiting for true love. When she overhears Jake Wilde making a personal plea to some woman on the phone, she can see he’s heading down the road to disaster. Instead of walking away, she steps in to offer him advice so he doesn’t turn his life upside down the same way she once did.
Their friendship develops, and one night their emotions collide—but when someone unexpected suddenly knocks on his door, Jake learns that sometimes, what you wish for isn’t what you really want.
As real life interferes with her hopes and dreams, will Chris once again be brokenhearted, left on the outside looking in?

After his injury, Jake Wilde has been transferred to the Phoenix Cardinals. Leaving the Seattle weather for Phoenix is going to take some adjustment, but the biggest adjustment is leaving behind the woman he had hoped to marry. She had originally dated his brother…and it’s complicated. When he learns that she has returned to his brother, he meets legal assistant and team cheerleader Chris Jeger. He feels comfortable with Chris and they slowly become friends. He finds himself attracted to her, thinking more about her smile, her eyes and how good he feels when he is with her. Chris is falling for Jake, but what will happen if his ex-returns? Chris had advised him to move on and find someone that only wanted him, and he believes that now he has. A beautiful and sensitive romance about waiting for love with the right “one”. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author. (by paytonpuppy)
Content note: alcohol to fall into bed together, love triangle,
Bleh. Love triangles really are not my thing, at all. Polyamory? Definitely! But emotional fallout of a woman playing two brothers against each other? No thanks. Especially “I don't know which brother is the father of the baby”.
Also, seriously, if the only way you can 'convince’ a woman to have sex with you is give her a few drinks first, don't. (And vice versa). The whole concept of “talking them into it” is gross. Figure out if you are into each other while completely sober- if there are issues that render someone shy or nervous or reluctant, those are still going to be issues afterwards.
Jake is having problems with his football injury. After proposing to Jill and she rejected him, he is going through a bad time. Then he is told that he is going to be traded. He leaves so many messages on Jill's phone but no answer. Until she finally does and reads him the riot act about the fact that she has gone back to Sam and is finished with Jake. When he throws his phone at the wall, Chris hears and sees everything. She is a cheerleader and legal assistant who has also been through the same as Jake. Lots of angst. So many messages unanswered. A dinner for two. Attraction. Two angry brothers. Great story and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Traded (The Wilde Brothers #7) was a great read by Lorhainne Eckhart. Jake Wilde is a football star who is the youngest Wilde brother. He is desperate to keep the woman he loves and asks her to marry him. He never expected that she would turn him down. It also happened at the same time that his football team decided to trade him. Chris Jeger is a legal assistant and part-time cheerleader for the Cardinals. I enjoyed reading Chris and Jake's story and can't wait to read more by the author.
Traded is a good romance with emotions flying high. Two brothers in dispute over a woman who might not deserve any of them. The Wilde family struggles and Jake has a new start in life with his true love. An easy and fast read!
This book was just the right length to listen to on a recent trip by car. My husband was as invested in the story as I was. Jake and Chris had a few things to work out but they got a happy ending. I thought the narrator did a very good job.
This is a well written story about a professional hockey player and one of the cheerleaders on the squad that cheers for the team. They are both recovering from painful relationships when they meet and they instantly connect. I liked both Jake and Chris. They are both honest, down to earth people and I wanted their friendship would develop into something more.
Really enjoyed Jake's story and the tough decision he had to make in his life. Did not like what Jill had done to Samuel and how she used Jake. These Wilde brothers are really interesting to read about. Love how they stick together regardless of what is happening in their lives.
Gostei! Comecei a ler a série fora de ordem, mas não tem problema, pq cada livro se refere a um casal diferente. Boa história! Estou louca pelo próximo!
