Nick and Pim is the first book I’ve read by W. Na Pramuanmark (H.R.H. Princess Vibhavadi Rangsit).
The story begins in Zürich, where Pichet and Montira meet by chance. Pichet owns a boxer dog named Nick, and Montira has a poodle named Pim. They spend some time together, but eventually separate because of a misunderstanding. Even though they clearly like each other, their arrogance gets in the way, so instead of writing directly, they choose to communicate through their pets, It feels like you’re reading the owners’ gossip through their pets, Which is such a fun and creative idea. I think that’s what makes the story so unique and enjoyable.
I really like W. Na Pramuanmark’s writing style it’s why I’ve read a lot of her books. Her main characters are usually confident, bold, and a bit bratty, which is honestly my favorite type of character.
Also, a cute coincidence both my father and my uncle bought me this book, so now I somehow have three copies of Nick and Pim on my shelf.
I’d defenitely recommend it to anyone who enjoys slice-of-life stories, dog centered plot, and light romantic comedy.
