I once read a book by this author and fell in love with it: LOVE MY WAY...

And that's why, I wanted to try some more work from her. However, this duet didn't live up to my expectations, unfortunately.

***********************************************
2,5 stars rounded up to 3

The heroine in this book, Jules, lives a double life. She is a doormat when her parents plan her life education, job, who to marry etc. But when she needs to be herself at least for a short time, she is that rebellious and adrenaline-junkie girl. She joins car races and wins them, she takes fighting lessons and she sometimes goes to fight clubs, where she gets high on adrenaline.

Personally, I thought it was too much of a stretch. Someone with such a fierce character can’t be/shouldn’t be that spineless for things that matter. She doesn’t love her job, she doesn’t love her boyfriend and she still doesn't dare to change it. She wants to travel the world but she stays in her home town. Because her mother is a control freak, she allows her to plan her life just to make her happy. It was too difficult for me to like this girl.

***********************************************

Then, she meets our hero, Leo and is instantly attracted to her. He also feels a strong attraction towards her but he doesn’t push it as he sees she has a boyfriend. Their relationship only starts when she breaks up with her boyfriend.

From then on, all the crazy stars. The life threats from an unknown source, violence from the ex-boyfriend, stalkers appearing here and there, an unsolved murder and more crazy from the mother and ex-boyfriend etc.

Somewhere in all this crazy, I lost my interest in the book but I still went on reading it, sometimes skipping a few pages.

***********************************************

All in all, it was a combination of interesting and boring. I couldn’t relate to either of the characters. Jules was a character not convincing enough for me and Leo was sometimes too obsessed with his past and therefore, closed off and unstable every now and then.

And they became connected on an emotional level too fast too strong but I didn’t feel it. Also, there are scenes that are supposedly passionate but I never felt their chemistry or passion. Their intimate scenes didn’t satisfy me because they all lacked this or that, you know... 😊

***********************************************

Safety tip: Leo loves Jules but he has his own demons he fights with so sometimes he can’t be who Jules needs. And then there is a 6 week-separation between them when Jules goes on a trip to Europe to think about their issues.

During this trip, she meets a guy and finds him hot and attractive. She says she has a boyfriend so they become only friends but still her spending all her holiday with him didn’t sit well with me. He grew his hopes although she said there was a boyfriend because it was clear they were having problems in their relationship. Later, after she goes back to Australia, they meet again and he kisses her. She kisses him for a few seconds and then pushes him away.

That's all about the safety...

Writing:

As I said at the beginning, I read "LOVE MY WAY" from this writer and I fell in love with that book. Its writing is poetic. It has an amazing story-telling.

That's why I am puzzled now. The writing in this duet is nothing as good as the writing of that book. The writing of these two books is lacking on so many levels.

If I had read this duet before "Love My Way", I would never try anything else from this writer. While the writing in "Love My Way" was mesmerizing, the writing of these books is haphazard and chaotic -so far from being captivating. It just didn't make me want to turn the pages over to see what will happen next.

Final thoughts:

Most duets are the same – if not all. Instead of 2 books with 200 - 250 pages, most of them would be such a better read as one book of appr. 350 pages. Again, this is the case here. There is too much filling stuff to make it a duet. It could have been a better book as one.

5 AWESOME STARS!!!!

Kate, you did it again with Collision.
I loved every bloody (pun indented) second of this book.

I actively made my brain hold off as long as possible to finish this book because I didn't want it to end. I knew the possibility of a Cliffie was in the midst, but I couldn't make myself stop...I had to know what happened.

And boy....did you leave me wanting more, or what?!?!
Need part two....like...yesterday!

Leo, Leo, Leo...you beautifully, broken handsome loving soul. What happened to you? I need to know. Your strength both physically and emotionally astounds me.
Jules, you poor thing. Your life is exhausting to me, and I am just the reader. You are a super strong, courageous lady-you have grown a lot over the course of this book and its a wonder to see. I imagine, you will blow my mind in the next book.

Both on their own separate paths of heartbreak, finding one another when they were meant to, become one. Only to be separated by outside sources. Needing to find their way back to one another-both know they are meant to be with the other-no matter what.

Life has its way of throwing a wrench in things just when these two collide back into each others paths-what is in store next? I have a feeling that no matter what, Jules and Leo will persevere, their love for each other knows no bounds, and no matter what, they are stronger together. Adversity can take a step back from these two-it wont win. Jules and Leo will.

I cannot wait for the next installment of this book-Well done, Missy, well, well done :)

My favourite Leo quote:

"Not much to tell, really." His expression softened and his eyes blazed with passion. "I didn't know what I was waiting for until I found a lost soul who belonged to me."

****SWOOOOOOOON

Where can I buy one? Ill pay!!!

Collision by K.A. Sterritt

Wow ! K.A. Sterritt just left me with my mouth hanging open I shock ! That's how much the ending surprised me. And be prepared ... it does end in a cliffhanger but it's oh so worth it.

Collision focuses on Juliette, a young woman with a successful career, amazing friends, and a love for a good fight. However, she's also blessed with an overbearing mother and a boyfriend she's not crazy about at all.

While attending an underground fight, Juliette runs into the imposing Leo. And from there both their worlds collide.

I loved the flow of this book and the character development was outstanding. Sterritt keeps you completing fascinated with what's to come.

A definite 4.75 stars !!!

Juliette Salinger, aka Jules, was born into a wealthy family and lived a life of privilege. But her life was nothing like she had planned for herself. Instead, she was living a total lie, complete with a boyfriend she did not love, all for the sake of her mother’s well being. Having to endure her mother’s constant control over her life, leads Juliette to a secret life of thrill seeking adventures, where the rush of adrenaline is exactly what she needs to make her feel alive. Racing cars and boxing are about the only things keeping her life bearable. That is, until Leo Ashlar lays eyes on her at an illegal fight club.

Leo Ashlar was an absolute dream. I mean, who doesn’t love a tall, tatted, protective badass? For Leo, fighting is a way to escape his tragic past and release his inner demons. When he’s in the ring, he totally dominates his opponent, and the intensity he radiates is breathtaking. Jules found herself completely captivated by him, and he’s definitely not someone mommy dearest would ever want for her daughter.

Every scene just drew me further and further in. Everything from the secrets that are revealed, to Jules and Leo’s explosive chemistry, had me desperate to keep flipping the pages and see them fall in love. Leo really tugged on my heart strings, and had me fanning myself over and over again! I loved that the story was told in a dual POV, because it allowed me to feel how strongly Leo was falling for Jules. I also found the banter between them to be PURE GOLD!!! It perfectly balanced the more emotional side of the story. Every time things got too serious, I’d suddenly be laughing at something one of them said. The secondary characters were all vital to the story, and I loved how they each contributed in their own unique way. All of these factors combined, with their intense attraction to one another, and the emotional undercurrents of Leo’s painful past, made this whole book a wonderful mix of everything I love to read about!

This book does end on a huge reveal, but I’m completely fine with it due to other key factors being in a good place. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book, because I NEED answers!!!! I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to be swept away by an intense, and suspenseful love story, with an extremely hot and swoon worthy alpha!

Talk about a cliffhanger that makes you go insane just thinking about waiting for book 2!! Damn it!

Loved this one, truly and wholeheartly fell head over heels for this story.

Sweet.
Dark.
Tortured.
Deep.
Raw.
Emotional.
Realistic.
Sad.

Every single time I thought I couldn't handle looking like a blubbering mess, I knew it was worth it to see how the characters will develop on the very next page..

When a girl who aims to please her parents has a mind that is anything but simple, free and all shades of the rainbow. And a fighter who has his own demons to fight, and a dark soul that only ever wishes to be looked at that bit closer so you can see those small cracks that go unnoticed by everyone else. Whether you can say that fate brought them together or that they are two tortured souls who find a road that lead to the other, COLLISION is a story that will make your heart breathe a sigh of relief just before all hell breaks lose and it's broken in two.. It's THAT type of book.

Saving my poor kindle before it was thrown against the wall, I can safely say that my heart needs some therapy. Soon. Now? I can't tell you how much I loved the way both Leo and Juliette's distinctive personalities how somehow, through mere words that turned into chapters, have developed into something so SOULFUL. Yes, that's the exact word. It was soulful. It was dark and tormented, filled with demons that most people only ever keep to themselves.. BUT it was a perfect story about two people learning that despite their inner demons, there is that ONE person that will (as cliche as it sounds) be the light that will shine through your broken and barely visible cracks..

Before I start reaching for the tissues yet again, I just want to thank K.A. Sterritt for being so so SO kind in providing an ARC of this beautifully messed up story that I will treasure for years to come! So THANK YOU!

What happens at Fight Club …. Will blow your dang panties off, swirl them around and rip them to tiny shreds.

This is a great book. A girl who loves fast cars and fighting … YUP! But there is so much more of course.

Juliette Salinger has the world in her hands. She is successful, beautiful, has friends every corner you turn but this girl loves a good bloody fight; something her overbearing mother has no knowledge of. Juliette is to be the good girl who follows the rules of her family as she has a status to keep up. Her boyfriend is nothing to write home about or anyone about. Juliette craves what she loves which is forbidden in her world. Undignified. Juliette’s world is about to combust the minute Leo’s eye fall on her.

Leo Ashlar – hold on to your panties ladies – tall, tattooed, and …. A FIGHTER! Oh yes and lets not forget mysterious because fighting is Leo’s way to escape. His past sucked to say the least and in the ring he can release the beast and allow the demons to take their place surrounding him in darkness. This character is INTENSE --- mercy ladies. And do you think Jules can withstand his force … ha! NO NO – but Leo is not of course who “mother of the year” would want for her daughter. Good thing Jules has conviction and a mind of her own.

Im not going to lie this story is frustrating to say the least but you are going to love every single minute of it. Kind of like torture and then BOOM you have a cliff hanger that is going to knock you out. I need to know … like now. And ladies don’t even try to lose
your “soul” to Leo … he already found the one that belonged to him …. OH LAWD! … Click it up ladies – click it up.

I was provided an ARC for an honest review. Review to post on Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets on Release day. Thank you K.A.!

After reading The Holly Project and absolutely loving it, I was eager to read K A Sterritt's next book. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of Collision and devoured it in 2 sittings!
Our heroine, Juliette, tries desperately to be what her family wants but has two passions they know nothing about - driving fast cars and fighting.
Meanwhile, Leo, our hero, is a fighter with a past.
When they meet the chemistry between them is something else!
This is a beautifully written love story that I will definitely be reading again.

I started this book not knowing anything about the author, I hadn't read the blurb, I just loved the cover and had to read it. Well, I'm so glad I did. This book was fantastic!
I am normally a reader that reads a couple of chapters a night and it takes me a few days or a week to read 1 book. Not Collision! I devoured this book in one sitting, I literally couldn't put it down. It's one of those books that you fall in love with the characters, they intrigue you and you want/need to know more.
Leo and Jules are superb main characters. I felt for Jules. She had to put on a different personality when she was with her family and so called boyfriend to keep everyone happy, while really, she is a strong minded, determined woman that deserves a whole lot better than that poor excuse for a boyfriend. Now, let me tell you about Leo. I was drawn to him straight away. He was so strong, but had a heart of gold deep down inside. Leo is very protective of those that he cares about, and he is instantly protecting Jules from the first time they meet. There are a couple of villains in the book, namely Jules' boyfriend 'Richard' and Jules' mother. I wanted to punch them both they made me so angry, I was ready to throw my kindle at the wall!
Collision is a book so well written, I could picture the scenery as they drove through the Yarra Valley, I could feel all the emotions, the frustration, the love the connections. It had all the feels and I was invested in it from the first chapter. It also had a twist at the end that I didn't see coming and I am really looking forward to the second book coming out. I'll say it is a 'sort of' cliffhanger. Don't let the word cliffhanger deter you, because it isn't a traditional cliffy. It is actually very well done, because I was so happy with the ending, but it also made me excited for the next book. You won't be disappointed with 'Collision'
If this is only the authors second ever published book, I can't wait to see what else she has planned, because I absolutely loved it. Beautifully written and I'm sure you'll her a lot more from this wonderful author.
Bravo KA Sterritt!

“He pushed me up against the wall and kissed me hard, tugging at my robe and breaking our connection for only a few seconds before crashing his lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my body into him.”

5 huge, huge stars!!! I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this book is. It’s such an emotional and crazy roller coaster ride!!!

Their lives were destined to collide.

Juliette Salinger lives her life entirely on her mother’s terms. Everything from what she wears to who she dates is determined by what is deemed appropriate for their social standing.

Look a little closer.

Juliette isn’t cut out for that life. She lives for moments of reckless abandon to escape the crushing pressure of never being good enough.

Leo Ashlar appears to live his life entirely on his own terms. He’s a bartending bachelor and undefeated fight club champion.

Look a little closer.

He’s haunted by a tragic past and hides his demons even from those he loves.

When Juliette’s duplicit worlds collide with the handsome and untouchable Leo, both are impacted in ways they couldn’t foresee. Juliette’s life begins to unravel. Can Leo help her build a new one, or will his past be their ultimate demise?

Without giving too much away, I will say this book was so, so good!!! The characters are so well developed and the storyline is exciting. The sparks that happen between Juliette and Leo are unexplainable!! Ugh, this book is so great!!!

5 High Octane Stars
Well.....what to say? How about....Leo, I love you❤️ Leo, forget about Jules, I'm the one for you! Ok, less about me, more about the book. I absolutely loved the story, loved the characters, the fact that the story was dual POV was a big bonus for me. The story follows Leo, a bar and and illegal fighting champ with a past, and Juliette, a society princess with a secret passion for racing and fighting. Well, you know what they say? Opposites attract, and these two are definitely attracted to each other! Both have their own baggage that needs to be dealt with. A high octane love story which I thoroughly enjoyed❤️

This is this the longest I have ever spent on a book. I started off reading it in a group read and then a little at night before bed. I did not want it to end. I freaking loved these characters! K.A. Sterritt is a new to me author but her writing was so on point. I was immediately drawn into two separate worlds, Juliette's and Leo's, that is. That's where the collision took place, and boy did it rock me to the core. My jaw was left hanging, on the floor, at that ending.. Just wow.. I need Impact now!

I have had this book on my TBR list for so long and I've been fortunate enough to meet the lovely author now on 2 occasions. I promised her and myself that I would read this book before I saw her again.

Collision is a great book with lots and twists and turns, set in Melbourne Australia and penned by a great Aussie author.

It has taken me a long to meet Juliette and Leo and I really enjoyed being in their world. This books ends on what I would call a HFN ending and I have the second book on my kindle to see how Juliette and Leo get to their HEA

Living under the thumb of an overbearing, high society mother, twenty-five year old Juliette Salinger has had enough. Until now, she’s done everything that’s been asked of her. She’s attended a university, maintained regular appointments at her parents home, appearances at their charity events, and she’s even carried out an empty relationship at the will of her mother. Inside, she’s screaming for something more. She’s disgusted with her role of society princess, and bored with a relationship that just doesn’t seem to fit. Yet, she hasn’t found the inner strength to break free from her parents’ and boyfriend’s expectations and demands.

Leo Ashlar has problems of his own. Haunted by his mysterious past and determined to escape the reality of what he’s faced, he is hard at work on rebuilding a new life for himself. Taking on odd jobs, and caught up in an illegal fighting circuit, sexy Leo has little time to look at a female, let alone think about a relationship with one.

One day, each on their own high-speed course, determined to break free from the demons that haunt their daily lives, the two racing souls collide. Their strong connection is unexplainable by anything other than fate. She’s become reckless, in her search for happiness. He’s drawn to protect her, from what he knows she might not be able to handle. It seems like a perfect match. The problem is, Juliette’s relentless mother and her snake of a boyfriend are determined to keep them apart. Even if it means putting them both in danger. Will they be strong enough to help each other escape their separate demons and find their happily ever after? One thing is for certain, they’ll fight like hell to try.

With twists, turns, and unexpected dangers lurking around every corner, author K.A. Sterritt has artistically woven together the lives of these two phenomenal, multi-dimensional characters. Juliette. Who wouldn’t want to be like her? Strong, smart, athletic, gorgeous, and determined to live life on her own terms. She’s a fighter. And Leo. As a reader, I found myself wanting to jump through the pages just to meet him. Their chemistry is undeniable, and leaves the reader cheering for their relationship to work.

Finding myself emotionally invested in the characters and the story, I was captivated from page one. Action, suspense, and romance, had me turning each page with ferocity. The characters are well developed and highly relatable. The plot is fast paced and uniquely fascinating. The writing is superb. Being left with a major question unanswered, I can’t wait to continue this story. I award Collision Five Smashing Stars!

Two worlds collide 5 stars

*Received an ARC copy of the book for honest review for Wicked Women*

This is the story about two broken people colliding and creating a world of their own. Will they survive the collision or will they be destroyed.

Juliette Salinger is not your typical rich girl, she’s gorgeous, not spoilt at all, well behaved, so much so that you wonder if she is real. But under the cool façade lies the heart of a rebel. Every day she fights her to be what her mother wants her to be and on the weekends she lets go of her present and embarks on a reckless adventure. Jules, the alter ego of the perfect young woman, loves to throw a monkey wrench on her mother’s plan every weekend. She’s into fighting and racing. The adrenaline that rushes through her being makes me grin like a little girl with her favorite chocolate. Juliette Salinger is stuck in her world that she is absolutely ready to break out of.

Leo Ashlar is not your typical underground fighter. He’s left a privileged life behind after his world crashes and he feels like he has burned out. To keep the demons of his past at bay, Leo delves into the underworld of fighting. When he’s not fighting and crushing hopes of his fellow fighters, Leo works as a bartender. He has a beautiful heart and soul but his past is keeping him shackled to a life full of rage and anger. Can his past set him free?

Leo Ashlar’s world collided on the night of a fight when he saw an angel in the midst of hell. Juliette Salinger stood rooted to the spot when her eyes first saw the dark knight striding to slay the dragon. Neither one of them was ready for each other yet both were unable to fight fate. For the first time in Jules’s life she felt alive and after a long time Leo felt like he could breathe. Although the start of this love affair was chockfull of hurdles. They manage to reach the finish line with seconds to spare. But all is not perfect in their world. Forces outside are working double time to make sure Jules and Leo never get their happy ever after.

Will Leo open up to Jules about his past? Will Jules be able to convince her mother that Leo is the man of her dreams? I gasped, I swooned, I raged and I cried. So tell me what happens when an immovable object meets with an unstoppable force? Inevitably they collide!

"I revelled in the inevitability of my own demise. Some might call that selfish, cowardly and inconsiderate, but I could live with that."

Juliette and Leo - two souls destine to meet and destine to heal each other. Juliette is a beautiful shell walking around. She is appears to be the perfect poised character of what her piece of society expects of her. Leo is an illegal street fighter. Unforgiving, punishing, powerful and everything she longs to be. They meet as part of Juliette's need to be reckless. What they find is that they are destine to be with one another.

I loved both characters. They were strong where they needed to be and showed a vulnerable side at the same time. I felt this book was more Juliette's story. Her breaking away from expectations and what she 'should be' to what she wants. Leo - whoa! Every girl wants a man who will go to the ends of earth to make sure you are safe, happy and satisfied.

This was a first time read for Ms. Sterritt and won't be the last. She keeps the reader gripped in the story with even paced storyline. You don't feel a lag and turning the pages to discover more. Warning - this ends in a cliffhanger of sorts. You think you may have things figured then "Ha!" no you don't. I love this story and all the characters. Even the ones I wanted to junk punch. I can't wait for book 2. I highly recommend this read!

It took a long time for me to decide how to rate this book and, in the end, I went with my gut, but sadly, this is not a book for me. This isn't easy to write as I truly wanted to love it so here it goes.

I was intrigued by the synopsis and I'm a sucker for a feisty heroine, so Collision had all the makings for a book I might like, but it just wasn't meant to be.

It started perfectly, I must say, I fell in love with Jules - she's rebellios, a fighter, and just an altogether lovable heroine. But after the first few chapters she started to get on my nerves. She became codependent, she gave in to easily, and quite a whiny lady.

Leo...idk what to say about him other than I don't like him.

While I get the appeal of this book, and I have to say all my friends loved it, for me it was too similar to others before it. The author, KA Sterritt, does show a lot of promise, and her writing is well thought through, but I just want it to be more relaxed, feel effortless rather than forced.

I'll read other books she will put out, that's for sure, and I truly hope I'll enjoy the others more than this one.

I loved this book that had me hanging on to every word and nuance, keeping me off balance at every turn in the story!
Juliette is such a contradiction. Meek and vulnerable at times, then brave and fighting for her independence. She wants to please her mother. She attends her mother's charity events, wears her mother's clothing selections, and even dates her mother's choice of men. But she tries to assert herself in fast cars and boxing lessons.

"I’d never known a girl with so many layers of beauty and torment, but it felt like my soul had recognised its mate in Juliette’s."

Leo is a champion underground fighter, part time bartender and stone worker. He refuses to speak about the secrets in his tragic past.
Even though they both feel the immediate connection with each other, the obstacles in their way seem completely insurmountable.

The moment I would think I was starting to figure out some of the twists and secrets, the author pulled the rug out from under me and I'm left gasping in surprise!!

I really enjoyed The Holly Project and knew when Collision was announced that I had to check it out!
I loved Leo and Jules. Their story is perfectly paced and the characters are all very well developed.
Leo and Jules come from two different worlds but are both fighting their way through the demons that haunt them. Jules is living a picture perfect life. She has the perfect apartment, a wealthy family that seems to want the best for her and on paper, a perfect almost fiance. Her reality is far more complicated, and she is the ultimate risk taker. She just wants to feel SOMETHING.
Leo is fighting unseen demons from his mysterious past. You could say their coming together was written in the stars. It had to happen. I loved watching them find themselves and realize that they deserved far more than what they were settling for. I can't wait to see where their story takes us!

Collision - Packs a punch!

Jules and Leo are two characters battling different demons. We learn all about what Jules is fighting in this first book, but Leo remains somewhat of a mystery. A Beautiful mystery.

KA Sterritt has done it again!
I loved her Debut book 'The Holly Project' and was eager to dive into Collision.
Trust me, she does not disappoint.

It's a well crafted, page-turner of a story that will leave you begging for answers in book 2.

This book is amazing!! It's a great story with two great main characters...my heart hurts for Leo and the pain of his past. Juliette I admire for her wanting to be her own person and not under her mother's thumb. At times I wanted to throw my phone BUT that ending has me speechless. And I am anxiously awaiting "Impact"!

Not quite for me unfortunately. I liked the premise. Liked the heroine and her expertise with car racing and fighting. I liked Leo too, but the connection between them lacked something for me.

Collision is a story that gave me chills. The plot along with amazing character development made this story outstanding. It played with my emotions and left me screaming (literally) for more.

Juliette is torn between the facade life she lives and the person she wants to be. Does she want to be who she pretends to be for her mother? As I read her thoughts, I felt the struggle within her. Her confusion is clear until her world collides with Leo. Of course this causes new confusion for her, as she still is stuck in the life she is pretending to love. I wanted to scream at her....be you, Juliette!

“Your strengths and your weaknesses are black and white, Juliette. I wanted to see the colours in between."

Leo is a strong man who is at war with himself. It became clear not unlike Juliette, Leo also has feelings within that were colliding with each other. He has different reasons but just as compelling as Juliette's....if not more. K.A. Sterritt did an awesome job of making me understand Leo at the same time not really knowing who he was at all. His character drew me to him. The entire novel I craved more of what he was thinking.

Juliette and Leo together are amazing. They push together and pull apart causing readers to wonder how they can truly be together.

“I didn’t know what I was waiting for until I found a lost soul who belonged to me.”

Do they belong together?....You have to read it to find out. I recommend this book to every reader who is ready for a love story full of intrigue. Thank you, K.A. Sterritt. I can't wait for book two of the Fight for Life series.

I received an ARC for an honest review.

Juliette is held to ransom by her mother's ridiculous emotions and lives for fleeting moments of freedom, in secret.

Leo lives his life as he wants. Held accountable by no one, he releases his frustrations in the cage.

Through a series of coincidences, Juliette and Leo's lives cross and suddenly it's like a veil has been lifted. Even though Juliette is feeling differently about her life, it's not that easy to change.

I loved Leo! He's a great character and with his secret past (only alluded to with the merest of details) he's so intriguing. I yearned to know more and we are fed little snippets but not enough to quench my need.

The emotional ties between not only Leo and Juliette but also between her and her mother and her all but absent father, ensure there's plenty of drama.

If I had to provide any criticism, it would be that I felt the last couple of chapters felt a bit rushed to me but quite honestly it doesn't detract from the over all story.

The book ends on a cliffhanger with the promise of some of the answers I've been hankering after. Book #2 is due to be released in 2016 and I'll be eagerly waiting to get my hands on it.

I've found a new author to love! I had seen the cover of this book on social media, and it came up as a recommendation on my kindle, but I just gazed over it, not really paying attention. So when I met a mutual book-friend that was going to be at the same signing as me in a few months, she asked if I had ever read this book by K. A. Sterritt. I told her no, and the lovely lady by the name of Eli Peters gifted it to me. I started reading it the next day and also joined a discussion group on Facebook about this story! (I've never participated in book discussions before so this is pretty cool)! Unfortunately (or fortunately for the author) I've read ahead of everyone else and devoured the book! The story makes for an easy read, Jules is a lovely character with common complexities that don't bore, unlike most heroine's can be. I'm really happy that Sterritt wrote from both Jules AND Leo's POV, because if she hadn't I would have been wishing for Jules to throat-punch him on occasion.
***DISCLAIMER: IF YOU DON'T LIKE CLIFF-HANGERS, WAIT UNTIL THE SECOND BOOK: IMPACT COMES OUT ON APRIL 8TH TO BEGIN READING THIS***

5 Star Review
I can't believe I forgot to do my review for this book, I loved this book and I was hooked from page one.
This book is emotional, deep, raw, dark and sweet.....
Juliette lives her life on her mothers terms but its not the life she wants , she wants excitement and she loves fast cars and fighting....
Leo is a tattooed fighter who uses fighting as a way of escaping......
Juliette and Leo are destined to meet through a series of coincidences. As the saying goes opposites attract and these two have an attraction like no other you will be looking for the fan to cool yourself down !!! Both have a past and baggage that needs to be deal with.
At times I was frustrated and what a cliffhanger but I want to thank K.A Sterritt for giving us a book that isn't all sweetness and light. Its sad but realistic and I loved it.
This is my first book by K.A Sterritt it won't be my last because book 2 is out soon .......

I have had this book on my kindle for a while and I don't know why I hadn't read it sooner.

This book BLEW ME AWAY!! It was so good I did not want to put it down. It was intensely gripping as well as satisfying with a bit of a cliffhanger at the end that you will NOT see coming!!! You will swoon, sigh and maybe wish for your very own Leo!!!!
I loved most of the characters!!! Jules and Leo were a force to be reckoned with. I loved the way the story unfolded and at times I wanted to either slap or hit someone...but you will have to read it yourself to understand what I mean, lol.
This is a must read book and I really cannot wait for the next one. Bravo K.A. Sterritt you have a winner on your hands.

This book didnt really work for me for several reasons. *Spoilerish* There was a lot going on right off the bat for there to be any sort of cohesive plot line. There wasnt much build up btwn Leo and Jules so i feel their chemistry is lacking. The threat of Richard seemed to dissipate, unresolved mind you, rather quickly. The mystery surrounding the death of Leos parents was more eye rolling than intriguing. We can pretty much figure out based on the "cliff hanger" at the conclusion of this book. All in all, it is a quick read but one that is lacking in getting the reader hooked. Im not all that interested in book 2. 3 *unfulfilled* stars
