This book started off with a BANG! I loved it! Then at some point it was just through the motions. I'm giving it three stars because the writing is good and there are some strong truthful points that allowed me to read it to end.

Unfortunately, I found Ethan with his mother issues a disrespectful d$@k. I couldn't warm to him the way he treated his mother to her face. Like fine you don't like your mother but but don't be so disrespectful to her face - too much. Like if he don't respect his mama how is he gonna respect his wife. Jordin realised that at some point.

However it all comes together to make for a happy ending.

#2 - Back in his arms again… Somewhere deep inside, (attorney) Jordin DuGrandpre has always been waiting for Ethan Holbrooke (Gym Owner Guru) to come back to Charleston. on page 144 we are still repeating the same things that were said on page 10…takes far too long to resolve their non-issues and move on

Enjoyable story

This was an amazing story of love and forgiveness. Ethan loved Jordin and always has but past anger and hurt makes it hard for him to let go and act on those feelings. Jorrin loves Ethan and truly feels that he is the man for her if he will allow himself to feel. The two slowly build something lasting but it is almost ruined by Jordin's assistance that Ethan figure his parents for their actions from the past starting by talking with his mother and hearing her side of things. Ethan eventually realizes that he can't move on with his life without dealing with his past and that holding on to hurt and anger are not worth losing the LOVE OF HIS LIFE. Ethan finally sitting and talking with his mother without judgment was very heartfelt and touching. Really enjoyed book 2 of The Dugrandpres family, I hope there are more stories to come.

Good read

Good read, I liked the storyline and characters. Ethan and Jordin were a good match, once they got past Ethan’s baggage. I recommend this book.

Jordan really cared for this young man immensely. That’s a special kind of love. She wasn’t easily persuaded away from her feelings despite her twin sister encouragement that her old boyhood friend may not be a fit for her. His pain was so real -the feeling of being unwanted by both parents. Thankfully he reconciled with Lydia, his father wasn’t worth it in my opinion.

Love it! I sympathized with all that Ethan had endured, but He's a stronger man for it. I Don't think that Jordon truly understood where he was coming from because he wouldn't interact with his Mom.
Great story and characters.

Loved how Jordin never gave up on Ethan and no matter how Ethan tried to avoid and put space between he and Jordin she never let it happened.
Ethan was dealing with trust issue with his mom and dad who were not married to each other.
Ethan's mom was dating a drug dealer who she said she did not know that he was but Ethan being only 12 at the time knew that he was. His mom got caught up with the boyfriend with drug possession and went to jail and Ethan had went to stay with his father and wife did not want him there.
Ethan grew up became a millionaire owing a chain of gyms and moved back to home town and in walks Jordin. Jordin was pushy but in a nice way and if she had not kept pushy Ethan there would not have a happy ending.

It was nice to catch up on Garland, Ryker, Amya and Kai. Garland mom is still the same old Rochelle.

Waiting patiently for Austin's story, Jordin and Jadin's brother. Hopefully Jadin will find love also.

I really enjoyed this book of true love between two best friends. Jordin and Ethan has been friends for years, due to a situation in Ethan's family he has to leave Charleston but he vows to keep in touch with Jordin. After many years Ethan returns to Charleston to open a gym, Jordin is very excited to her this news because her true love has returned. I love the way the author made the Jordin character take the initiative and make the first moves and not sit and wait on the man, she went for what she wanted. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series I'm hoping it is about Austin and his situation. Great read.

This book was so much fun to read. True love will cause one to go separate ways when it's in the best interest of the couple. Forgiveness is critical.
