✨Found family
✨Assassins/mafia world
✨Possessive and obsessed gold retriever MMC
✨Feminine rage and energy
✨Healthy toxicity
✨Revenge plot
✨He’s obsessed with her x she’s obsessed with him
✨Last book in a trilogy

I don’t even know what to say, I am so sad that this trilogy is over. And that we won’t get to read anymore of Arlo and Blair’s story. This series has a special spot in my heart because it’s the first series I read by Kat, and it’s the first series that got me into her books. And now that it’s over, I’m so sad.

But now let’s talk about the book. I absolutely loved the feminine rage that Blair had and the revenge that she got in the story, I loved the development of Blair and Arlo story even more. I think that the both of them are just perfect for each other, and that they understand each other perfectly.

With Blair, I am so happy that she got her revenge on the people who hurt her and took advantage of her. And I loved seeing her thought process and everything that she did to accomplish that. My only thing that I didn’t like was how secretive she kept her addiction from Arlo since he would understand it more than anyone. But at the same time, I know why she didn’t, since he was already going through so much she didn’t want to put more on his plate and make him want to relapse again. I also love how we got to see her and Kaya’s interactions and then working together. They are my bad ass queens and I love them.

And with Arlo, I think he’s just the perfect man ever. I love that he supports Blair and understands her. I love that. He never really questioned her and understand that she knows what she’s doing and he’s not gonna try and do greater or put her down for it. He’s a toxic man, but he is never toxic to Blair, he would burn down the world for her and I love that. I also loved that we got him in his ghost mode and the revenge he took, I thought was amazing. I love seeing his growth and him being a leader and taking over and stepping up. I understand why he didn’t say anything to his mom about Luna, but I really wish I could tell him that it wasn’t his fault because he didn’t know until the very end.

The overall plot of the story I thought was really well done as well. I really like how the trilogy came full circle and ended together. I will say that I called it that Hudson was not dead. I knew from the start that he wasn’t gonna die. No one can just kill Hudson like that. I will say that I gasped at who the mole was and the little plot twist. I was saying that until we physically got the paragraph that said Hudson was identified, I wasn’t gonna believe that he was dead. And I called it. He is not dead.

I wanted to scream at Noel for a second, because I understand with her and Luna and how she felt about the whole situation with Luna dying. But I also think she should understand that Arlo didn’t mean to kill Luna and he never would’ve killed her if he knew who she was. And that it was an accident and he didn’t mean to. And then for her to just ignore him and kind of blame him, and then say I’m sorry. I just wish there was a little bit more growling to Arlo about that.

Arlo is my baby, and I will say nothing more. I will go to war for him and Blair.

There was some cute little scenes that I loved, with Arlo buying Blair a new ribbon in her constantly wearing it no matter what. The strawberries is on the bedside table after Noel woke up, that’s how I knew Hudson was still alive. Aria being a bad ass. Kortlek becoming a thing and describing what it was. Arlo playing the piano, and so many more.

Also learning that Arlo had him and Blair married for years was so on brand for him, but I also gasped at it. Like I’m not surprised it is definitely something that he would do, and I’m also not surprised that Blair wasn’t too upset about it. They are so equally obsessed with each other that it doesn’t shock me.

Overall, this trilogy was just amazing, I loved the found family aspect, the mafia/assassin aspect, the feminine rage, the toxic, but loving relationship that Arlo and Blair had. The two of them literally being the most perfect couple ever. I will forever recommend this series and all of Kat’s other books.

I'm not ready to leave Blair and Arlo but this was a great conclusion to their trilogy. Blair is a powerful force of nature in Sinister Vengeance. She has to become the strong one. Not just for Arlo, but for herself. She has to become the monsters that she fears, or else they may just get to her first.

Arlo's rage is evident. He is mad, but also scared. His family goes through so much, and he cannot seem to gain control of it, which causes the Ghost to come out of hiding. I was so invested in their story and what was happening to the DeSantis family that I cried any time something more happened. Don't worry though. While their trilogy really pulls on heart strings, it has an epic finish to it.

How does one emotionally prepare to say goodbye to the De Santis family? Because I don’t think I was ready. AT ALL. It’s been a long time coming, ten months since Scarred Sins first came out and we started this journey with Arlo and Blair, and now here we are…the final book. And let me tell you, I have been on the edge of my seat this entire time waiting to see how this was all going to end.

Sinister Vengeance picks up with everything hanging by a thread. Blair and Arlo are finally facing their biggest challenge yet, with the weight of everything crashing down on them. They’re forced to confront their demons head on and finish what they started while somehow still trying to hold together not just themselves but their family.

Ooooh my God, what an ending to such a crazy trilogy. Let’s be honest, after that ending in book two? I genuinely did not know how Kat was going to bring this all together. Yes, we know Kortlek exists so we know there’s a happy ending somewhere out there, but getting from that devastation to that future? It felt impossible. And yet somehow Kat King did it.

“He has my soul. He is my entire soul.”

I’m going to start out by saying that this couple is the ultimate baddie book couple out there (next to Noelle and Hudson ofc). What makes Arlo and Blair stand out, what makes them different, is not just that they love each other. It’s that they trust each other. Completely, unconditionally, they are the definition of ride or die and that trust is what carries them through everything, even when things feel completely impossible.

Blair was and always will be THAT girl. The embodiment of feminine rage in the best way possible, it was her resilience, her strength, the sacrifices she makes…ugh I don’t even have words. She has been through everything imaginable and yet still comes out fighting. Watching her fight her demons, reclaim herself, stand in her power, and still choose love after everything? I was in awe of her.

And Arlo…don’t even get me started on him cause I’ll never stop. He was a king through and through! This guy has the weight of the entire world on his shoulders, carrying guilt, responsibility, and the pressure of everything falling apart around him, but not once does he falter when it comes to loving Blair. Not once. He fights for her, for them, for their future with everything he has. He is the ultimate MMC and I will hear no arguments.

But what I love most about this trilogy, and what Kat does so well, is that it never feels like it’s just about Arlo and Blair but rather about the De Santis family as a whole. The lore, the way each book builds on the last, the way Hudson and Noelle’s story laid the foundation for everything we’re seeing now…it’s actually insane. And YES, I am once again here to scream about Hudson and Noelle because they remain superior in every timeline, the end. The way this family loves, protects, and quite literally burns the world down for each other is absolute perfection.

“This is the start of forever.”

The stakes in this one were HIGH and what made it even better was that everyone got exactly what they deserved. Every moment, every payoff, every bit of justice…y’all revenge was sweeeet cause this journey was not easy. I really feel like Kat King has created something truly special with this trilogy.

And now that it’s over…I’m just sitting here like…what do I even do with myself now?

I don’t even know how to put into words how much this one wrecked me. Saying goodbye to Arlo and Blair feels wrong, like I’m not ready to let them go yet. This trilogy has lived in my head and under my skin since the first book, and watching it come full circle like this hurt in the best, most consuming way.

Blair is everything. The rage, the control, the way she takes back every piece of herself and makes it lethal. She is not soft, not forgiving, not easy and I loved every second of that. Watching her step fully into who she is, watching her stop surviving and start owning it, was so powerful. She doesn’t just endure, she dominates. And the way she still chooses love after everything she’s been through? That hit.

And Arlo… don’t even get me started. That man is devotion wrapped in violence. The weight he carries, the guilt, the pressure, and still he never once falters when it comes to Blair. He doesn’t try to control her, doesn’t try to lessen her, he stands beside her and lets her be exactly who she is. The ghost, the leader, the man who would burn the world down without hesitation if it meant protecting her. He is everything.

Their relationship is not clean or pretty, it’s obsessive, consuming, a little toxic in the way that makes it feel real and raw. They are equals in chaos, in love, in destruction. Ride or die doesn’t even begin to cover it.

The plot? Insane. The tension never let up, the twists hit exactly where they needed to, and everything came together in a way that felt earned. The revenge was brutal and satisfying, every payoff landing exactly how it should. And the found family aspect? That’s what really made this whole series feel bigger than just them. It was never just Arlo and Blair, it was all of them, and that made every loss and every win hit harder.

There were so many small moments that stuck with me too. The quiet ones, the ones that felt soft in the middle of all the chaos, the ones that reminded you why they fight so hard for each other.

This wasn’t just an ending, it felt like closure and devastation wrapped together. I’m not okay, I don’t want to be okay, and I will be thinking about them for a long time.

I will forever recommend this trilogy.

After the way the previous book ended—full of unanswered questions, tension sitting heavy in my chest—I went into this final installment with sky-high expectations. And somehow… it still exceeded them.

This wasn’t just a conclusion. It felt like an emotional reckoning.

From the very first page, there’s this quiet intensity that builds and builds until it becomes almost unbearable—in the best way. Every twist hits harder because you’re already so deeply invested in Blair and Arlo, not just as characters, but as people who feel painfully real.

Blair’s internal struggle was one of the most powerful parts of the story. You don’t just read about her demons—you feel them pressing in, suffocating, relentless. Watching her fight, even when it seemed like she was losing herself, was both heartbreaking and deeply moving. There’s a rawness to her pain that makes her strength feel earned, not forced.

And then there’s Arlo.

He isn’t perfect, and that’s exactly what makes him stand out. His patience wears thin, his emotions aren’t always controlled—but his love? It never wavers. The way he stands by Blair, not by trying to fix her, but by giving her the space to fight her own battles… that kind of support feels rare and real. He doesn’t save her—he believes in her ability to save herself. And that makes all the difference.

Their relationship isn’t just about chemistry (though that’s undeniably there). It’s about trust, pain, growth, and choosing each other even when everything is falling apart. It’s messy, intense, and beautifully human.

The story balances everything so well—the tension, the action, the emotional weight, and the quieter moments that hit just as hard as the big ones. And the theme of family—of finding it, choosing it, holding onto it—runs deep throughout the book. It reminds you that sometimes the strongest bonds aren’t the ones you’re born into, but the ones you fight for.

The conclusion of Arlo and Blair’s story delivers everything you hope for while still managing to surprise you. Their journey is filled with such intense feeling that it tugs at your heart in both painful and beautiful ways. Watching their bond endure everything thrown at them only makes their connection feel even more special. By the end, it’s impossible not to believe they truly belong together, and their story lingers long after you’ve turned the last page.

Saying goodbye to the De Santis family, though? That’s something I wasn’t prepared for in the slightest. It feels like just yesterday that Scarred Sins introduced us to Arlo and Blair, and now, ten months later, their story has reached its final chapter. From the moment I started this last book, I couldn’t look away, desperate to see how everything would unfold.

Sinister Vengeance begins at a breaking point, with everything fragile and uncertain. Arlo and Blair are pushed to their limits, forced to face the darkest parts of their past while trying to protect not only themselves but the family they’ve built. The tension is relentless, and every moment feels like it could tip in any direction.

After the chaos of the previous book’s ending, I honestly couldn’t imagine how Kat King would tie it all together. Knowing Kortlek exists hinted that there was hope ahead, but bridging the gap between that devastation and a satisfying resolution seemed nearly impossible. And yet, somehow, she pulls it off in a way that feels both earned and deeply emotional.

What a wild, unforgettable ride this trilogy has been.

ARC REVIEW

And so Arlo and Blairs final installment has arrived

We are sent on one heck of an emotional roller-coaster with this book
One I will gladly go on again if I have to

Is this the end of their story
I highly doubt that and certainly hope not
They will be side characters in Kats next books I am sure or you know what I can even see a novella coming our way, I mean a proposal and wedding is surely around the corner

Did this book give us the closure we needed, yes of course it did!
But its never enough when it comes to these characters they have crawled their way into my heart and I dont want to say good bye, not just Blair and Arlo but the whole De Santis family and their people.
We are sent on one heck of an emotional roller-coaster with this book
One I will gladly go on again if I have to

There are so many untold stories laying between the words Kat has given us. Oh how I need more books, especially for X and Aleksei they may be side characters but they stood out and I just know their stories will be absolute fire

I will never not read one of Kats books
Her writing is amazing and every single time I am drawn into the story, she has me hook line and sinker with every word
If you have not read anything by Kat I have to ask if you have been living under a rock because trust me you are missing out

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Holy hell, how do you say goodbye to this family and this couple? Arlo and Blair’s story is tough and beautiful. I loved that Blair got her revenge and that she was able to also heal. I loved watching these two fall in love and watch Arlo go at Blair’s pace and understand what she went through. These two are truly perfect for each other and they are truly soulmates. I loved seeing Noel and Aria!! I also loved finding out about Kortlek. I LOVED that book!! My Babies Cove & Aria!! This trilogy was amazing and I loved everything about this family!! They are crazy and a little toxic, but if you need anything, they will truly be there for you!!! You can go read the Triology on Kindle Unlimited, and if you want to know more about the family, go check out Sardonic Burn, which is Arlo’s parents’ book, and you can read Kortlek, which is Arlo’s sister’s and his bestie’s book.

🖤💚Thank you so much for the ARC! This review is my opinion💚🖤

finished a couple days ago but forgot to review!

ohmy this book!! i've been waiting for it since last year but really, it feels like forever 🥹

i grew attached to blair and arlo in aria's book ( kortlek ) and afterwards it turned into an obsession and a NEED for their story.

i love their love - i think as far as dark romances go they're pretty healthy and not only that but kat had a way of writing both blair and arlo in such a way that you vould relate to them as characters, even if not as a couple.

i'm so thankful i got to read about them and experience their love even through the screen of my phone 🥹

thank you kat for writing such amazing characters all the damn time.

This was the perfect ending to this trilogy. I love that Blair finally got her revenge and Arlo just supported her in every way and let her do her thing. Blair is such a badass and fits perfectly in with the DeSantis family. Arlo is the perfect book boyfriend, there is just something about a ruthless killer who is not only down bad and a simp for his girl but he also blushes when she calls him baby!?? 🫠🫠 I loved all the Cameos from the family. I think it might he time for a reread of Sardonic Burn and Kortlek.

5 stars!
Sinister Vengeance is the third and last book in the Divine Gore Series that features Blair and Arlo. I was very excited how this story would continue and end and I was not disappointed. It was an emotional rollercoaster for sure. I don't even know what I should add to that other than: This series is amazing. It is dark. It is exciting. It is sad.
Blair and Arlo have a special place in my heart. They are far from perfect but they are perfect for each other.

Thank you for this arc!!

My favorite family and characters so sad to see them go and their battles mental and physical seeing characters change and make decisions to gain everything back they lost and i HATE Paul simmons & many other terrible characters. Blair and Arlo, are one and a page unique to each other and the DeSanti family I love them im definitely going to read them again they’re perfect for each other and different but still loving each other while dealing with so misery and pain.
Also Noelle & Hudson’s deaths like omg what broke my heart.

Good to the last page flip!! This trilogy was a ride and I enjoyed every bit of it. The love story, revenge, mafia, feminine rage so much great content. I am sad to see this end but Blair and Arlo gave all they got and I will reread this story again. So many great elements and a trilogy is long enough to fully fill the plot and let the characters relationship develop without being forced … highly recommend and I can’t wait to see what this author comes up with next.

The final instalment of Arlo and Blair journey is exactly how you expect it to be and then some. The raw emotions these characters go through is both heart-breaking and heart-warming in equal measure.
It is a perfect end to their story and I am going to forever be thinking of them. Arlo and Blair are endgame and I adore their relationship.

5 ⭐️.

I’M NOT ALREADY TO NOT SEE MY HUDSON FAMILY ANYMORE 😭.

I still feel sad that I won't read about Blair and Arlo anymore. They're one of my favourites book couples. 😍 Their chemistry is everything IN THIS UNIVERSE. AAAAA

I love how everything ended. Blair getting the love and happiness she deserves. I love her character development. I remember her personality in the first book. Insecure and alone. Now, she has people that could do everything for her and IT IS WHAT SHE DESERVES. NO LESS.

Arlo is my MAN. HE IS LITERALLY PERFECT (at least in my eyes). He can do anything wrong and I'll still see him as PERFECT. I felt bad every time he fells down what happened about certain character (NO SPOILER IN THIS HOUSE 🏡).

PLEASE READ THIS TRILOGY. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED HOW GOOD IS THIS.

Book review:

We have Blair finally get her revenge on Paul, and let's just say it was beautiful to read every bit of what happens to him. We have a lot of moving parts going on in this book with Blair plans. Some of her plans include Amy with our very own detective. We have the family de Santis family reunited after everything they went through. We have the final wrap of the book.

This is the final book in the Divine Gore Trilogy, and it was well worth the wait! 🥹 This was such a perfect ending/beginning for Blair and Arlo. Blair finally completing her vengeance on the people who wronged her in her youth, had me cheering for her the whole way. And Arlo, he is so perfect for her 🥹🖤 The entire De Santis family lives rent free in my brain, I love them all so much.
Cannot wait to see what Kat has coming out next!
