BDSM fantasies from a male author seems to be dirty and a bit more taboo. Mr. Anderson easily scores on both counts and it is guiltily arousing. He is a new to me author and I want to read more. If this short anthology is just a taste of what is to come, I can't wait for the next book. The story themes are erotic and plausibly realistic.
The BDSM scenes in this book are too short. For the most part, they are well described which provides for a good visual. The knife story is my favourite one. It is an impressive one because out of the hundreds of BDSM stories I've read over the past few years, this is the only one of its kind. The scene takes edgeplay to what most readers are not comfortable with and for those who are lifestylers, it's a new scene to try. Based on how BDSM is written in this story, I would guess Mr. Anderson is in the lifestyle. The responses of the bottom and the setup of the scenes are authentic and lends credibility to his experience. If he isn't in the lifestyle then he does good research.
What would make this better is if Mr. Anderson writes longer story. If Pretty Little Lies can be expanded with the main character Jax, it would be delightful. Be it character or plot driven, knife scenes perhaps with interrogation mixed in it would pull several darker kinksters in. Another one which would be great to expand upon is All You Ever Wanted. The plot twist in this short story is taboo and in much demand with dark readers. Although usually, it's m/m in more demand than f/f. This short story is well crafted with tension. Then a surprise reveal with depraved sexual torture makes the story supernova hot. The story ends too quickly and leaves plenty of opening for more. There are several questions I have for Mr. Anderson about Chad, Rose and Alyssa. The possibilities make my mind whirl in feverish anticipation and moistens my panties.
Another recommendation is better transitions between scenes. Using hashtags to separate is jarring. Perhaps it is because these are short stories, the separator is used. My preference is using chapters and better transitions between time differences. Otherwise, readers will come out of the story and not enjoy it as much.
Whilst I loath to say this, I must admit it - sex sells. Readers who enjoy this style of kinky sex stories will not need much character development if there is plenty of dirty filthy porn sex. This is not to say raunchy and crude sex with terrible dialog between characters will gain better reviews. It's to say the more graphic sex paired with humiliation, degradation or taboo will increase the naughty factor and most likely appeal to the taboo reading crowd. With character development, specifically characters which are loved or hated, it will increase a reader's desire to talk about a book and recommend it.
Lastly, if Mr. Anderson keeps his writing voice with lovely gems as below, it will be memorable.
“I had the desire to find you, and now I have the rope to bind you and the implements to mind you.” (pg. 39)
While she was Googling, she saw a picture of a woman kneeling at the feet of a man, well-dressed in a dark suit, captioned with the Oscar Wilde quote, “The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it”. (pg. 51)
This short anthology is recommended to kinky readers who enjoy the sharp slice of a knife and the sly mischief from a sibling.

A great read. The stories are beautifully written experiencing different BDSM scenes. The stories have kink from a simple scene in The Game: "It starts with you sitting at your desk working with your spreadsheets...." "And I''ll sit under your desk." To decorative cutting, restraints and spanking. And then there is Jax; I wouldn't mind Jax being my guide into BDSM. I loved it and recommend it.

Every short story will have you wanting more. It's panty melting, delicious & dark too. I love how the tittle is also used throughout the book as well. He will bring you to an edge, than will have you go weak just reading. Warning, make sure your alone & have your b.o.b ready. haha.

The stories in this book are unique, sexy and exciting! Extremely well written. It is refreshing to read some one who is well versed in the beautiful art of BDSM. I can't wait to see what Mr Anderson has in store next!

Lovely Erotic short stories
Pretty When You Cry by Keith Anderson who also writes under another pen name, Judith Anderson, has written some very erotic very enjoyable short stories. The writing flows and paints a picture that I could see as I read each story. I have a couple of favorites and have reread them. A nice way to read erotica and BDSM in snippets. Very hot and steamy, and knowledgeable regarding the practices of BDSM. Anyone who enjoys these types of stories, will really enjoy this book.

Wow!
I'm not quite sure what I was expecting from this book or this author. I can tell you what I read and received blew my mind! There are so many misconceptions about BDSM life. I felt with this read excitement, fear, anticipation, relaxation, the ultimate in trust, opening yourself fully to another, intimacy, love, warmth, and consensuality.
I have to admit......this turned me inside out. Where my mind went, my body definitely followed. You could feel the words coming off the page and letting you experience what each person did. That, my friends, is the ultimate sign of a good read. This, is an excellent read! You might not get turned on by some things inside but you will be definitely well informed and your favorite word just might be munches! giggle! It surely is mine now.
Hats off to you, Mr. Anderson. You have sincerely piqued my interest. But right now, I have a date with your book and my right hand!

What an absolutely fantastic collection of eye opening, panty dissolving, stories. I mean... Perfect. Mr Anderson has done an outstanding job on these shorts - outstandingly written, accurate, and highly entertaining. The layout of the book, quick read stories, make it an ideal purchase when you have a busy life like my own. Waiting for a bus? Read a quick story from Keith. Smashing.
Lastly, I have to say - CASEY IS MINE! I'm not willing to share him, nor am I willing to analyse how psychotic it is to claim a fictional character as your own. Nope. Not going there.

Unfortunately I have to rate pretty when you cry by Keith Anderson a 3 stars
Nice pull together of quick reads, however when I started I didn't realize that it wasn't just one novel or novela. You start reading and get into the first story only for it to come to an abrupt end and I felt almost cheated of the story, some were longer and more detailed but there was a lot going on in one cover. However if you like to jump from story to story and like to read bdsm reads then you would enjoy this book

This was the first time I read this author, Keith Anderson and after reading the intense erotic book I will be reading more. The book is a series of vignettes of mild to darkly erotic BDSM involved in different aspects from spanking, flogging, cutting, bondage and very explicit sexual games. I felt a bit of being a peeping Tom getting a vicarious thrill from watching the play. Extremely well written and always stressing that this must be consensual and negotiated before the scene take place.

They are hot so be advised. If one of the scenes is to much for you, than move to the next one. You will love several of them. Look forward to more from this author under a new name: Judith Anderson.

this was my first time reading Keith Anderson but it will most definitely not be the last time. this book had my jaw dropping and saying omg really! Keith Anderson has a way of writing that pulls you into the story that let's your own imagination take you.... a wonderful book to keep next to the bed!!!!❤❤❤

A fantastic collection of short erotic stories, taking in aspects of BDSM. I loved the diversity of the stories, I would love to read a fuller length novels of some of these stories especially my favourite one 'The First Time'.

This is a great book. It is well written. I recommend it for someone over the age of 18. This book is full of different fantasies. Jax is a good character in this book. In my opinion if you don't have an open mind then don't read this book. If your curious go for it.

This was a first time read from this author for me. A really great view into the BDSM lifestyle from a male authors point of view. Definitely a must read for adult only readers. Can't wait for the next read from Keith Anderson.

I liked this book. it was FAST paced. a little confusing how it went from one point in time to another. but it definitely gets your juices flowing.

This was just ok for me. I think I am not a fan of short stories. I like his writing, but I would have liked to read a story and see some character development. But thats just me. I hope to see more of his writing and hopefully try again.
