This book is full of nostalgia, capturing all those teenage feelings and moments that shape who you become.

Beth is a 17-year-old who just wants her predictable summer- reading, spending time with her parents, and hanging out with her one (and only) friend. But when her parents encourage (okay, force) her to go to summer camp, everything changes. She feels completely out of place- until Tucker comes along. He makes her feel seen and comes up with a plan that’s supposed to benefit them both.

With ups and downs and some truly heart-wrenching moments, Beth’s life is forever changed… even 10 years later.

I was ignoring my family just to keep reading this book- I couldn’t put it down! I can’t wait to see what’s next for Beth and where her story goes from here.

What a beautiful book— as a summer camp kid myself, the palpable nostalgia within these pages set the stage for me to become so fully immersed in Beth & Tucker’s story as it rekindled the feeling of a “camp crush” I had so many times myself, as well as the overwhelming desire to find your place in the word as a teen. (And as a formerly bookish & boy crazy teen, I feel you Beth.)

Fast forward — the feeling of nostalgia for what once was and how those past feelings shape our currently reality and desires for our adult life. This book features a sweet & romantic slow burn, where Beth says goodbye to the past and hello to the present — and all the ways that those pieces are intertwined.

A brilliant debut, and a delightful & binge-worthy summer beach (or mountains, or creek, or summer camp) read. ❤️

I loved Until We Met!

Beth is a 17-year-old who just wants to spend the summer alone reading books, but her parents send her to camp. There, she’s the “new girl” and hopes to fit in with her cabin mates, the Birch girls, and possibly win a scholarship that could change her life. Tucker, a kind and charming boy at the camp, steps in to help. As the summer progresses, she finds friendship among her fellow campers and actually starts to enjoy herself. Then one day, something unimaginable happens. Flash forward to Beth, now an adult and still dealing with what happened that summer.

I read the entire book in one evening because I couldn’t put it down! I loved the characters and the nostalgia of the summer camp stories. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

If you’re looking for a book that completely pulls you in and doesn’t let go, Until We Met by Colee Ernst is it.

From the very first pages, I was hooked—not just by the storyline, but by how real the characters feel. You know those books where you start to miss the characters before you’re even done reading? That’s exactly what happened here. The emotion, the connection, the pacing… it all just works. It’s heartfelt without being overdone and keeps you turning pages because you genuinely care about what happens next.

What I especially loved is how the story balances romance with depth. It’s not just about the relationship—it’s about growth, timing, and all the messy, beautiful moments in between. You can feel the intention behind every scene.

This is one of those reads that stays with you after you close the book—and I already find myself thinking about these characters again.

I cannot wait for the next book in the Birch Girls series. If it’s anything like this one, we’re all in for something really special.

I could not put this book down!!! I avoid stories that make me cry. I had no idea this one would make me tear up MANY times, but I am SO HAPPY I didn’t miss it! I felt very connected to Beth and her content feelings on being alone and living life the way she happily has, but also realizing if she had more (more friends, more fun, more risk…) she just might be content with that, too. The dual timeline kept we engaged, and I adored EVERY character I met as I got to know them (well, minus one. IYKYK—ha!) Beth deserves the best HEA and I am here for every second… even if I hate crying… I’ll do it for Beth! Colee created an incredible world that had me totally living in summer camp, and I will forever cheer Colee and this story on!!

I did not mean to stay up as late as I did with this one. That should tell you everything!

Beth is seventeen, gets shipped off to summer camp against her will, and just wants to survive the summer unnoticed. Then a scholarship gets announced and suddenly blending in isn't an option. Enter Tucker, charming, a little too easy to like, and a deal that was never going to stay simple.

Genuinely one of my favorites this year. The ending is a heart-wrenching cliffhanger and I cannot wait for the next book!

Finally getting around to getting my review of this book into the world!

Though I didn’t grow up going to camp, there are so many themes and experiences that brought me back to my own memories. This is the perfect, summer read! Getting you in the nostalgic mindset while also getting to fall in love with the characters and their journeys. I can’t wait for more ❤️

I was hooked from the first chapter! Came for the nostalgia of summer camp, but stayed the complex characters that you love (or love to hate). I inhaled this book within a day or two, but my problem with this book is the following books aren’t out yet!

I really enjoyed Until We Met. The beginning, with the characters meeting at camp, was fun and brought me back to childhood summers. As the story progresses, it adds more depth and emotion, making it an engaging and meaningful read. The ending left me wanting more and made the book especially memorable.

So good!! Took me back to being 15 and at summer camp. Truly the perfect book to recommend for a preteen/teenager or even to your grandma as there are no spicy bits. The author does a fantastic job of capturing those intense feelings of adolescence but also what it’s like to be a young adult. Book 2 can’t come fast enough!
