I didn't want to leave these characters!!! Totally cried at the end because it was so beautiful and comprehensive and satisfying and well-earned. This entire duology gave me all the feels. This one kicked off right where book 1 ended and it felt intense as the two characters were trying to get her to reassemble after being scattered. Their love trumped all and it was so cool to see how the story led them to the final battle. It was so unpredictable and fun. The side characters in this were stellar and of course I love Peeble and Kevin the most, with Bryx and Raskel right behind them. Elle was incredible and absolutely a beast FMC, and our hot broody MMC Kaelren learned how to stay and build his foundation and he never gave up getting back to his love. So so good and I am sad it's over. This world, this story, these characters, this wit, this sassiness, this cool plant-y nature theme, this heart, this emotion...I am so happy :)

Goodreads seriously needs to add more than 5 stars. Because 5 stars doesn’t even begin to do this book justice!!
We picked up right where book 1 left off. Everyone is reeling from Elle’s decision but Kaelren is suffering the most. And what unfolds is nothing short of perfection.
The world building was absolutely top notch! I felt completely immersed in this story like everything was happening to me right along with them.
Elle is still fierce as ever and I love her. Kaelren?!? Good gods don’t even get me started!! I’m all in for this man. THE WAR ROOM SCENE!! 🥵🥵 will forever live rent free in my head! The side characters as always were perfect. Peeble had me cackling through most of the book. And Bryx banter with, well everyone, was a masterpiece!! We met Thalia in this book too and let me tell you! Her backstory made me audibly gasp!! I loved it!!
The last 20% of the book was AMAZING! It was so deep and heartfelt I was crying in the parking lot at my child’s tumbling class!! I’m so sad this series is ending but how everything came together in the end felt like home 😉

This was such a fantastic conclusion to this duology! I loved how the story continued, kept me focused/ engaged and definitely on my toes. There was one part right smack dab in the middle, that threw the biggest plot twist and had me squealing at what it was. I had the inkling that it was gonna happen, but wasn’t sure until IT WAS CONFIRMED!! Although, I do feel like at times, the story felt a bit repetitive, but that could have been due to the plot of crossing dimensions in search of the one you loved; and this happened for about half the book. At times throughout, it felt like some dialogue was stated one time and then stated almost the same another. Causing this sense of repetitiveness. Besides that, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and think it was wrapped up very nicely. This is such an easy read with the way the author writes, and there is one particular character who kept my spirits high with their commentary on EVERYTHING! Iykyk 🤭 Anywho, I would definitely recommend this book, especially to those with a Dr Pepper addiction and loved to play plants vs zombies! ☺️

I was so excited to return to this magical world. Thank you so much to IRIS Influencer Society for the Advanced Copy! This was the perfect conclusion to the duology.
JK Ross paints a beautiful picture of this realm with all the Fern Gully and Thumbelina vibes.
What I loved: Magical sentient plants, a talking beetle companion, adorable fuzzy bumble bees for transportation, hilarious banter, delicious yearning, a sassy FMC and a protective MMC.
What I struggled with: The complex dynamics with the plot and time-traveling/alternate realities were over my head. I got lost and didn't understand what the Cathedral and Constructs were at all, and couldn't grasp the different Iterations.
The vibes were great though and totally worth it.

The crew is back together! Well, almost. Elle is scattered in time and Kaelren is doing everything he can to get her back. If you love witty banter, welcome to the party! Book 2 is hilarious and chock-full of awesome sauce! Come for the story and stay for the laughs!

First of all I have to thank J.K. ross for gifting me this ARC book.
I had such a great time reading The Void Between Stars by J.K. Ross. This duology delivered a unique and creative take on magic that immediately drew me in and kept me engaged throughout the story. In a genre where it can sometimes feel like everything has been done before, the magic system felt fresh and original while still being easy to follow.
It was nice to see everyone again. Elle is scattered in time and Kaelren is doing all he can to get her back. The banter was fantastic and there were plenty of LOL moments that kept me entertained.
One of my favorite aspects of the series was the way the multiverse was incorporated into the plot. Multiverse stories can easily become confusing or overly complicated, but J.K. Ross struck a great balance. The concept was central to the story and had real impact on the characters and their journeys, yet it never felt overwhelming or like it was included simply for the sake of being ambitious. The different iterations and variations of characters and worlds were fascinating to explore, and I found myself constantly curious about what new possibilities each reveal would bring.
I also appreciated how the story maintained its focus on the characters and emotional stakes despite the larger, universe-spanning concepts at play. The world-building was imaginative, and the plot kept moving at a pace that made it difficult to put the book down. Every new discovery added another layer to the story without making it feel bloated or overly complex.
The reason this lands at 4.5 stars instead of a full 5 is that there were a few moments where I wanted a little more depth or development in certain areas, but overall that did very little to diminish my enjoyment. This was a fun, imaginative, and memorable read that delivered exactly what I was hoping for and then some.
If you enjoy fantasy with a distinctive magic system, well-executed multiverse elements, and plenty of intriguing twists and variations, I would definitely recommend giving this duology a try.

The Void Between Stars was such a satisfying conclusion to The Thorned Sigil Duology. Do not misunderstand me, getting to that ending was an emotionally chaotic journey full of heartbreak, twists, turns, and Peeble’s sarcasm, but somehow I survived it relatively unscathed. Barely.
This book picks up shortly after the devastating ending of A Throne in Bloom, with Elle lost between worlds and Kaelren desperately trying to find a way to bring her back. From there, the story spirals through alternate timelines, or “iterations,” and it made for such an interesting blend of fantasy and science fiction.
Now, if sci-fi elements are not your thing, specifically alternate timelines and different versions of reality, you may not connect with this book the same way I did. But personally? I loved it. Watching the characters move through different iterations and seeing how circumstances shaped them differently in each one was fascinating.
The world-building itself was already firmly established in book one, so this book does not spend much time expanding the world further, which honestly worked perfectly for me. Instead, it focuses entirely on the story, the emotional stakes, and the characters themselves.
And the characters are really the heart of this duology. Elle and Kaelren were already well-developed in the first book, but seeing how they changed, adapted, and struggled across the different iterations added even more depth to them. I am intentionally being vague because this is absolutely not a series that should be spoiled.

Book 2 starts off shortly after book 1 ends....Elle scattered in time and between worlds and Kaelren (along with the rest of the crew) is doing everything possible to bring her back. As the story progresses, we see Elle and Kaelren searching for each other across a multitude of timelines or iterations and trying to get back home. While the connection between Elle and Kaelren is at the heart of every iteration, each iteration brings something different to the table. We get to see Elle and Kaelren learn about the different versions of themselves and the experiences that over time have brought them to the current versions of themselves.
I love that we get the same crew from book 1 but this book brings more fun additions to the crew, and even more places that we travel to along the way. As a girl who can’t picture things when I read, I love J.K. Ross’s world building/descriptions because I always feel like I’m in the story with the characters and can actually visualize what is going on. This story did bring a few twists that I didn't see coming and the banter/interactions between both new and old characters was fantastic. This story brought so many different emotions along the way, so I feel both destroyed (but in the best way if I'm honest) and satisfied.

Everyone is still reeling from the decisions made at the end of book one, but no one feels the weight of those consequences more than Kaelren. Watching the fallout unfold while the story expands into fractured timelines, impossible choices, and collapsing worlds made this such an intense reading experience.
One of my favorite parts of this series continues to be the world-building. The scope of the story feels massive, yet the emotional moments never get lost among the fantasy elements. Every new revelation seemed to raise the stakes even higher.
Elle remains the fierce, determined queen readers fell in love with in book one, and Kaelren is… well, Kaelren. Their journey continues to be one of the strongest parts of the series, especially as they face challenges that seem impossible to overcome.
This is one of those books that leaves you staring at the wall after finishing because you’re not entirely sure what to do with yourself afterward. The emotional weight, the world-building, and the twists all came together to create a sequel that completely lived up to my expectations.

The Void Between Stars by J.K. Ross is the 2nd and final book of the Thorned Sigil that let me tell you had me surprised again from beginning to end. While the multiverse storyline occasionally had me flipping back and forth to keep track of everything, the story absolutely delivers.
Watching Kaelren do everything in his power to get Elle back was both heartbreaking and beautiful. He may be rough around the edges, but there is something about his own way of devotion that completely stole my heart. Their journey is filled with longing, sacrifice, and impossible choices that had me rooting for them every step of the way.
Peeble continues to be one of my favorite characters, and I never know what he's going to say or do next. His banter and humor add so much to the story and balance out the heavier moments perfectly. As do all the other characters, it is a humorous journey with that gang!

The Void Between the Stars was a satisfying conclusion to a duology that felt both ambitious in scope and deeply personal in its execution.
What stood out to me most was the way this story explored growth—not just through the challenges facing the characters, but through their willingness to confront the versions of themselves that came before. As timelines collide and possibilities unfold, Elle and Kalren are forced to examine old mistakes, old patterns, and the choices that shaped them. What made their journey compelling wasn’t simply whether they would find their way back to one another, but whether they could become different people than they were before.
I also really enjoyed the expanded cast and additional POVs. Seeing more of the people who make up this world added depth to the story and reinforced one of my favorite themes throughout the book: that saving the world is rarely something anyone accomplishes alone. The found family elements were some of the strongest parts of the novel for me, particularly as the story moved toward its conclusion.
The timeline mechanics were imaginative and often fascinating, especially as more pieces of the larger puzzle came into focus. There were occasional moments where I wished for a bit more clarity as the complexity increased, but the emotional throughline remained strong enough to keep me invested.

This book far exceeded my expectations. It was the sequel that was much anticipated for in the Thorned Sigil Duology. I was already hooked from book 1 with the commentary that the greatest side kick you could ask for. This book deserves a 5+ star rating and the author writes in such a phenomenal direction that the reader will be yearning for more. The ending as well brought me to an emotional sense of gratification of being reminded how important family is and that through all LOVE will conquer all. If I could sum this book in three phrases that would be: COMICAL INTERACTIONS, TRANSCENDENT LOVE & DR PEPPER OBSESSION.
The FMC & MMC have such a tale of love that far exceeds anything or anyone through any variation of time that one would expect. Between the commentary from the side kick and the story itself, I am hooked and will forever love this series through and through even with the epic plot twist that the author threw into this story. Honestly, I probably could have highlighted the whole book, it was just that good lol. If you want a book to make you cry in a good way, then this is it!

Love that spans the multiverse and sassy, sarcastic beetles named Peeble. The Void Between Stars by JK Ross was the absolute perfect ending for this duology and dare I say even better than book 1!
Ross has created the most interesting world that you can easily get lost in. It’s incredibly lush, descriptive, and quite frankly somewhere I would love to visit one day.
Her characters, from the main characters to the side characters, are just as interesting. I really enjoyed seeing the relationships grow and evolve through this book. And the SPICE! Ross continues to absolutely crush the spicy scenes!

I really enjoyed the unique magic system in this duology. The multiverse was well written and while it was an important plot point, wasn’t overdone or confusing. I loved the different iterations and variations. What a fun read!
World- I loved the continuation from the first book. The world kept expanding, and the multiverse was so well written.
Magic- Like before, I am still not a plant person. But I absolutely love the magic system and the root magic. The ending was perfect and the resolution was masterful.
Characters- The found family in this book was so well done. The transition from the first book to the second was flawless. I love Peeble and how extra everything is. Who would have known a beetle would be such an amazing supporting character.

The first in this duology holds a special place in mt heart and this book comes darn close to being just as good. This is a fabulous conclusion to this duology brings its own conflicts and even world building at times with it being interdimensional for the majority of the story. I was completely consumed by this story and all the new elements I did not see coming in this book. There was a point around the middle of the book, more towards the end, that so much information was being adding to the story that I got slightly confused but it was cleared up for me in the following few chapters. Despite feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the new details, it was all worth for such an epic ending that came from all the expanding of the world in this book. Just like in the first book, I have to get a shout to Peeble-the perfect beetle that says everything you are thinking in such sassy way plus even had motivation speaker moments 😍 This book (really duology) rocked my world with the epic endings that i could not see a clear path to resolution but somehow it happened leaving me shocked. I loved the idea of the multiverse and that they had to find each other across different iterations of the Realm. It was really interesting to read about those other versions, what went wrong, and how they behaved toward each other. But I must say, sometimes I felt a bit lost, just like in Book 1. It felt like there could have been more explanation about specific scenes or situations.
But overall, I truly found myself laughing a lot! Especially with Bryx, Kevin, and Peeble... they absolutely stole the show!

The Void Between Stars was an amazing conclusion to this duology. It was full of surprises, so many POVs, and a lot of surviving and fighting. I loved the idea of the multiverse and that they had to find each other across different iterations of the Realm. I was so excited to jump back into this story after A Throne in Bloom, and it did not disappoint. This book is just as adventure packed as the first book. I also loved getting POVs from multiple characters throughout the story, which helped bring everything together and added more depth to the plot.
We also get new characters who add new dynamics to this story. From the very beginning, this book had me on the edge of my seat, eager to find out what would happen next. The ending was also incredibly satisfying and wrapped up the story beautifully.
One of my favorite aspects of this series is its strong female main characters. You should definitely pick this book up to step into this world!

Such a wonderful ending to this Duology! The addition of multiverse/iterations on top of the magic and world-building from the first book was a very unique approach. It made the story much more interesting and at times a tiny bit confusing.
Seeing Elle and Kaelren in the different iterations and they end up finding each other was interesting to read. I loved them ending they got, it was wholesome. The found family trope in this story was wholesome as well. I adore the MCs on this Duology, but I must say Peeble, Bryx and Kevin stole the show!!

Let me start out by saying this is only my second Arc review and I’m so thankful for J.K. Ross including me in this. This Duology was a magical and emotional journey with just enough light hearted laughter to keep you seated throughout. I’m not a multiverse girl but this is an epic journey through time and space that really delivered. The characters were entertaining and relatable. The plot was chaotic but I think it fit this world and these characters well.
I love Kaelren!

oh holy moly!! this read was a ride!!! the world of wynmire continues in this beautiful second book! Elle is scattered between all time and Kaelren is determined to bring her back to their timeline.
With twists and turns I did not see coming to having that witty banter we all love to having my heart clenching so many times in this epic duology. I did not want this series to end. I was hooked from line one of the book.
this series is so impactful and unforgettable with the amount of emotions it put me through page after page and I loved every single moment of it. book two is defiantly my favorite out of the two.

The Void Between Stars was SUCH a good read. I LOVE J.K. Ross’s writing, and she has outdone herself with book two of the Thorned Sigil duology. It was awesome to be back in the world of Wynmire and read about Kaelren, Elle, Kevin, and Peeble again. Elle is still as determined as ever, and Kaelren's journey to try and find her again was THE SWEETEST. Peeble is still as chaotic as ever. AND RASKEL?? The new characters were also amazing, especially Thalia! She has to be one of my favourite FMCs EVER! I love her and Elle both. The multiverse concept in this book was SO fun to read about, and I loved learning about all of the different iterations. The world-building continues in this book, and it is so immersive! I cannot believe the duology is over...it will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you so much, J.K. Ross, for the ARC. I cannot WAIT to read more from you!

The Void Between Stars took everything I enjoyed about the first book and raised the stakes in a much bigger, more emotional way.
Watching Elle and Kaelren fight their way back to each other across fractured realities grabbed a hold of my heart and wouldn’t let go…and their connection remained the strongest part of the story for me. The concept of repeating timelines, past failures, and the looming threat born from those mistakes created a sense of urgency, which had me hooked.
While there were moments where the pacing felt uneven and I wanted certain plot threads explored more deeply, the emotional weight, imaginative worldbuilding, and satisfying character growth made this a strong 4-star read!
