Do You Even Curse, Bro? is the third book in the Bros and the Witch series featuring a smart scarred heroine and her pack of himbo shifters. The fourth and final installment in this series will be released at the end of June 2026.
its a filler book - one key event happened in the first 15% and that's main plot movement in the whole book. a lot of nothing happens after.
5 Star - Couldn't put this book down. Its stay up late reading and be late to work good. 4 Stars - Couldn't put this book down but I still got a goodnights sleep 3 Stars - An enjoyable read that took me a few days to a week to finish 2 Stars - An okay book that I struggled to get through in places - next book is still on my TBR list 1 Stars - DNF
Quanta angústia nos capítulos iniciais, viu?! Meus olhos brilharam e senti a garganta apertar.

Transitional work, third of five. This episode was an emotional let down after the laugh out loud atmosphere of the first two. It's dark, depressing and somewhat boring. I'm not even sure I can identify a plot or even a theme. Spoilers: the whole book is spent bemoaning Killian's potential fall to the werewolf virus, and Elias' secret mate bond. Where is it going? What's the point? Then there's the introduction of Knox and his council investigation, huh? Too bad because I really loved the earlier books.
More somber than HEX or SHIFT, DO YOU EVEN CURSE, BRO still keeps the momentum rolling. The fellas seem a tiny bit smarter, but still have their endearing, incredibly himbo-rich personalities I’ve come to really love—and want to bake them cookies and grill them steaks and . . . other stuff 🫦. Although there are lighter moments and sexy times, things get pretty intense & emotionally deep in this ‘episode’. Perfection.
After book 1, I asked myself what would be my perfect picture of where Villeneuve would fit into Pack Lupe Tau’s madness — because in my heart I just know he fits with them in some way. His patience feels more like an irritated older brother. And I was spot on 🖤 (Currently feeling quite smug about it 😉). *** Recommended ***

Things start to get a little darker in this instalment. Killian has to find a way to move forward after what happened and is so worried he will hurt his pack. Regina is worried about him. Rowan tries to help and Micah tries to be the gel that keeps them together. Villeneuve has a pivotal in this book and I like how we finally get to see who he really is. The best character is Sean. He makes me laugh in the most inappropriate situations. I am not going to spoil anything, but it is hilarious. He is actually a joy to read and his boundless energy is like having a great dane puppy bouncing continuously. This is another great book that answers some questions, but leaves others tantalisingly alone!
I thought it would be the last book but no, another cliffhanger another open ending. It's not so much of a cliffhanger as an open ending. I don’t like it but I loved the writing. I hope there will be more drama in the next book.

Okay, I really feel like we’re being jerked around. This was supposed to be the conclusion of a trilogy, at least that’s what was advertised. I wasn’t happy about the cliffhangers in the previous two books, but went with it bc all three (of THREE) were available. I don’t think I even WANT to know anymore. This author is definitely going on my “Do NOT read” list.
This was significantly less impactful than the previous two books, and I’m still trying to work out how much of that is the book and how much is me.
I’ve just come off a duology that rewired part of my brain and another book that felt like it was custom-built in a laboratory to match my reading tastes. I’m still thinking about all three daily. Needless to say, the bar was sitting somewhere in the stratosphere.
So while I was still amused at times, a lot of the humour didn’t land the way it had before. Or maybe it wouldn’t have landed regardless. Impossible to know. What I do know is that Sean, my beloved homeboy himbo, kinda remains funny. The question is whether Sean alone can carry an entire book anymore.
Things I liked:
• Regina added another man to the collection. For some reason, my brain automatically translates “more men” into “more power.” Is that how harems work? Probably not. Will I continue to get an unreasonable amount of satisfaction every time another one joins? Hell yeah.
Things that frustrated me:
• This plot went nowhere at alarming speed. The book feels like it ended halfway through a sentence. We still don’t have resolutions for problems that existed before this book even started. Instead, we got an entire book of issues piling up while Regina forgot she was supposed to be a boss.
• Killian contributed very little beyond brooding dramatically near windows, knotting his woman once, and returning to his regularly scheduled uselessness. I require answers. Preferably soon.
• Micah and Rowan achieved the remarkable feat of existing without progressing either the plot or themselves.
• Sean felt like he had more page time, although that could be completely fabricated by my imagination. Either way, the glorious himbo energy felt dialled back. In previous books I was crying laughing at his antics. This time I mostly did the literary equivalent of exhaling through my nose and typing “lol.”
• Elias is…interesting. I’m not sold yet. We know more about him now, which might genuinely be the biggest breakthrough of the entire book. Maybe. I’m being slightly dramatic.
• The Siren showed up, let everyone know he exists, and then promptly floated back into the sea of unresolved plot threads.
• The pacing slowed down.
• The spice was nice enough while I was reading it, but I couldn’t tell you a single memorable thing about it now except the knot.
The more I write this review, the more convinced I become that yes, some of my disappointment is probably timing. But also…a lot of it is the book.
Will I continue? 𝘴𝘪𝘨𝘩. Probably.
Because despite all my complaining, I still need to know what happens. I need resolution with Killian. At this point I’m choosing to view this as Part One of a much larger book that got split in half. I’ll wait 𝘪𝘮patiently for Part Two.
Part Two better be a banger, because my goodwill is running on fumes.
River Ramsey absolutely sinks their claws deeper into the chaos, heartbreak, and addictive tension in Do You Even Curse, Bro? and honestly? It delivers everything paranormal romance readers crave wounded bonds, terrifying magic, emotional devastation, protective alphas, and a heroine finally learning her worth after years of being used.
What makes this book shine most is the evolution of the Bonded relationships. The dynamic between Killian, Sean, Rowan, and Micah already carries emotional weight, and those connections are tested in brutal ways. Sean’s injuries and Killian’s terrifying transformation arc create a constant undercurrent of fear and desperation. Watching the pack struggle to hold themselves together while trying not to lose each other emotionally is painfully addictive.
And then comes the reveal:
There are five of them.
That twist injects a whole new layer of tension into the story. The mysterious fifth Bonded adds angst, emotional conflict, and slow-burning intrigue, completely changing the group's chemistry. His deliberate emotional distance and refusal to fully connect create some of the strongest tension. Every interaction crackles with unresolved pain, attraction, and distrust.
Regina’s journey is another standout aspect. After surviving life as a coven siphon under an abusive ex, she’s still carrying fear, trauma, and survival instincts that don’t disappear overnight. Ramsey never rushes her healing, which makes her growth feel authentic. She’s vulnerable without being weak, and her determination to save Killian despite her own terror makes her impossible not to root for.
This series thrives on emotional intimacy just as much as physical chemistry. The possessiveness, protective instincts, hurt/comfort moments, and fractured trust all make the romantic arcs feel consuming. Ramsey understands that tension is often more powerful than instant gratification, and the emotional payoff hits harder because of it.
River Ramsey delivers a darker, more emotionally intense story that deepens both the mythology and the relationships while leaving readers desperate for the next book. Equal parts heartbreaking, magical, and addictive, this is paranormal romance at its most emotionally chaotic in the best possible way.
Do You Even Curse, Bro? by River Ramsey is another fantastic installment in this series, and I loved every minute of it. River Ramsey continues to balance humor, heart, and character growth in a way that keeps me completely invested in both the romance and the found-family dynamics.
One of my favorite aspects of this book was the hilarious yet surprisingly wholesome dynamic of the himbo wolf pack living with Professor Villenueve. Their personalities bounce off each other perfectly, creating some genuinely funny moments while still allowing for emotional depth when it matters. Professor Villenueve remains one of my favorite characters in the series. His personality adds such a unique presence to the group, and I loved watching his interactions with both the pack and Regina.
Regina’s development throughout the series continues to be one of its strongest elements. I really enjoyed seeing her relationships with the guys deepen and evolve in this book. The connections feel earned, and each interaction helps strengthen both the romantic and emotional bonds within the group.
One moment that particularly stood out to me was Sean’s reaction to his new scar. I loved how completely unbothered he was by it. Rather than focusing on what he had lost, the moment emphasized what he had gained. It perfectly highlighted how much the guys value Regina and how grateful they are simply to have her in their lives. Scenes like that add so much depth to their characters and show that beneath the frat-boy, college-himbo energy are people capable of profound loyalty, love, and devotion.
Overall, this was a wonderful continuation of the series. It delivered the humor, heart, character growth, and relationship development I’ve come to love, while deepening the bonds between the entire cast. If you’ve enjoyed the previous books, this installment absolutely does not disappoint. I can’t wait to see where the series goes next. ❤️🐺📚
Was it a bad idea to start this book at 11pm on a Monday? Absolutely. Did I stop reading? Absolutely not.
This was one of those dangerously entertaining, fast paced reads that convinces you “just one more chapter” is a reasonable life choice until you realize it’s way past any responsible bedtime.
What really kept me going were the characters, especially the himbos who had me laughing out loud in between the more serious scenes. The author balances humor and tension so well that I’d be giggling one minute and gripping the pages the next. It’s a surprisingly fun emotional roller coaster for a weeknight.
One character, Vyse, has the best assessment of some of Regina's mates: 😂
About Sean: "I've never seen such low brain activity in someone who wasn't asleep." "Dumb as a box of rocks, but admirably loyal. "
About Micah : "This one's got a bit more going on upstairs."
I'll have to agree that Sean is probably the least smartest but he's hilarious. His himbo energy is unmatched, and I loved every second of it. And if loving these chaotic, loyal, occasionally brain cell deficient wolves is wrong, I don’t want to be right.
The professsor (Elias) is the dark one with an even darker history. He adds a whole new edge to the story. The idea of him joining the harem has so much potential. He’s intense, complicated, and the kind of character who could shake up the entire dynamic in the best way. I was absolutely rooting for him to be pulled into the chaos. He plays the straight man perfectly against the rest of the comedic crew.
Looking forward to the next one. (Anyone else interested in Sadie an Vyse having a thing??)
I am in shock over the events of this book. Though I knew about the extra situation for the bond ceremony, well I guessed correctly. I was suspicious that Elias was a dragon but the fact that he is a mix breed was cool. My heart aches for all of them and the fact that Killian is cursed right now by the werewolf bite. Elias also seems so lonely and I really hope that all of them find a HEA. A lot happens in this book and it feels like the story is just getting warmed up. The world building seems a bit closed off for the expanse of the world but I like that we are getting a better feel for the characters themselves. I feel like the college experience is a bit of a mess and confused about the whole quarterback thing and how that stuff barely matters in this book and how it is not needed. Like the fact that there are no games and that quarterback gets away with never being in class and stuff. I feel like those details didn't fit the story and these characters well. Also the fact no one outside of the bond notices that Sean is suddenly missing an eye. College life would be more involved with a frat house and a quarterback, popularity would be present I would think. But I love their personal connections and things. I am enjoying getting to know the guys and watch them and Regina grow as people.
This is a fun series to read and I look forward to the next book to see what happens next.

Do You Even Curse, Bro? by River Ramsey Spice: 4.5/5 Genre: Shifter Romance, Witches, Magic Content Warnings: Violence I received an advance review copy and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thoughts: Do You Even Curse, Bro? by River Ramsey proves that the third installment in the series is just as entertaining and engaging as its predecessors. Packed with humor, action, heart, and plenty of heat, this book delivers everything readers have come to love about the series while continuing to raise the stakes. One of the series' greatest strengths is that it refuses to follow the typical shifter romance formula. Regina is far from a damsel in distress; she's a capable, determined heroine who fights fiercely for her pack and the people she loves. Her growth throughout the series continues to shine, making her easy to root for. As the story unfolds at a brisk pace, Ramsey expertly balances laugh-out-loud moments with emotional depth and suspense. The twists and turns keep the plot moving, while the lovable group of himbos at the heart of the story provide endless charm, humor, and swoon-worthy moments. With each book, the bonds between the characters grow stronger. Fans of paranormal romance looking for a series that blends action, humor, found family, and romance in a fresh and entertaining way won't want to miss this one.
Review for book 3 "Do You Even Curse, Bro?" In the series "Bros and the Witch" by River Ramsey (the gr link and bk cover pic are not quite right at the time of this review)
I'm still enjoying this fun and interesting rh shifter series. Each book has been about 250 pages so they don't take long to read but it feels like there needs to be a lot more books in the series but apparently there is only one more. This explains the light feel to the romance and why it's not more intense. Over all group dynamics and emtional relationship details are ignored to focus on plot and indivisual character development. It's not completed at the time of this review.
There are plenty of silly moments that keep this from being a dark and broody story. The characters are diverse and likeable even in their obviousness. This has multi POV and each characters own moments of self-deprecating and humour at their own expense allowed me to find them endearing and enjoyable. I'm eager for the next instalment of this series to find out how the pack evolves and survives.
Note when I wrote this review the goodreads links are all messed up. This review is for book 3 Some of the links in the series don't go to a complete author page either. That's if you manage to find the other books in the series
🐺💗🧝♀️🐉🧜♂️🧟This series has officially reached the point where I would read 800 pages of these characters doing literally anything. Loved this third installment. Villenueve, Killian, and Sean are such compelling characters, and the whole book was an incredibly fun read. But- it was way too short!! (although I appreciate getting something instead of waiting longer so 🤷♀️) Spoilers ahead: I genuinely cannot believe it ended on that cliffhanger. I had read theories about Villenueve being a dragon and potentially their mate, but the reveal still completely caught me off guard. One of my favorite parts was seeing River Ramsey shift perspectives into Villenueve’s POV her writing changes so seamlessly to reflect his elegant, controlled mind, and it made his chapters especially immersive. Ramsey somehow made me both deeply suspicious of Villenueve and completely obsessed with him at the same time.
I did miss some of the academia atmosphere and playful setup that made the first two books feel so cozy and addictive, but this installment was still wildly entertaining in its own way. Now I just have to figure out how to survive the long wait for the next book. I need the next installment asap, preferably delivered directly into my bloodstream.

I was so waiting for this book. I got it as soon as it released. Had a spot ready on my Kindle unlimited to borrow it right away. I felt like the story did not progress much. It starts off for the last book ends at the fight. But the blurb basically tells you what happened in the fight. We knew what was coming with our lovely buttoned up professor. If you didn’t see that coming a mile away then you weren’t paying attention to the other books. But I highly was happy about it at least. Because I do love dragons. But then I feel like most of the rest of the book was just spent on them in the professor‘s house. Nothing really got figured out. Except for the little bit of the cliffhanger at the end and the meeting of the Lich. Which you can see what’s going on there. I do like the siren and the interest he has in their little “Morticia” it would be interesting to see if that develops into anything even though she doesn’t seem like she would be interested at this time.
But still, this is the first series I have ever read where they actually do have dumb, and I mean very dumb basically “himbros” and our lovely siren sums up their brain activity nicely lol.

Book three dives deeper into the plot, putting spice on the backburner. Not only do I like the shift, but it also makes sense given where the plot is going. 👏
River's ability to swap the tone/voice depending on which POV we're in is amazing. I loved seeing Elias perspective, although him getting involved the way he does wasn't a surprise to me. While Sean is part of the pack so it makes sense for him to have a POV as well, he seems very one dimensional. How he handled the scar situation shows that he's thoughtful, but I would have liked them discussing to add a deeper connection and open the door for future character development? I would've also liked seeing more of Kill's perspective, there was a lot of potential for tension/anger/yearning there that would have improved my rating of Do You Even Curse, Bro.
In terms of story/plot I'm 100% obsessed though, and this book's cliffhanger is worse than the previous one! 😱
The moment I finished the last book, I knew I was going to need this one. In fact, I literally put a reminder on my calendar so I could read Do You Even Curse, Bro? the day it came out.
And it absolutely did not disappoint.
One of my favorite parts? We got more Professor!
Every time he showed up on the page, I was completely invested. The author somehow managed to make me even more intrigued by him, and now I desperately need more. I am officially in my Professor era.
This series continues to deliver humor, chaos, lovable characters, and a world that keeps getting bigger and more entertaining with every book. I found myself flying through the pages and smiling the entire time.
The biggest problem with this book is that now I have to wait for the next one.
If you've been loving this series, you're going to have an absolute blast with this installment. And if you're not already reading these chaotic, hilarious shifter books, what are you waiting for?
Now excuse me while I continue impatiently waiting for more Professor.
Every book I think will be the end and then it’s over and find out that there will be another installment. This book easily could’ve wrapped it up. Why are we adding so many unnecessary things to the story? The werewolf bite? The new mate bond? The mortality of it all. We’re adding in useless bites and dragging our feet to fix anything. This entire book is just creating new issues for the pack. Completely and wholly unnecessary but don’t worry there’s another book coming. Why?!
“He’s not protecting himself. He’s punishing himself. For existing.” He’s punishing the reader too because why must we suffer through this martyrdom when it isn’t propelling us forward?!
It’s fun. I love the characters. The plot is good. It’s not necessarily good, because the books just end when they could be wrapped up in one book. There’s literally no need to be 3 books into this and hardly anything has happened.
Kyle is still trying to get Regina back into the Coven, and he'll go to any means necessary to achieve it, even if it means using dark magic. But the pack will protect their mate from those who seek to harm her, especially when they see what Kyle releases.
The pack has help from an unexpected source. But they are now dealing with the fallout from the attack. Can the help they seek be enough? Can they get answers in enough time? What will happen when they find that certain information has been withheld?
The pack races against the time they have left. But will they be strong enough to deal with all that is happening? Regina will not give up. This is her pack. One who has fought for her as an equal, as a partner, not as someone beneficial for their own means.

This is the third book in the Bros and the Witch series. And I can say that River Ramsey has become a favorite author of mine after reading these books!! She has captivated me with these characters and this world! It seems like this FMC just can’t catch a break! She has had nothing but drama since meeting these wolves! If it’s not one thing, it’s another that seems to be pulling her in two separate directions. These MMCs seem to be Over The Top (OTT) but it all seems to be for good reasons. She has a loving pack to fall back on and I love that for her! She needs it after dealing with her ex’s coven… Thank you, River Ramsey, for another great and thrilling chapter in this series. You have me feeling like an @ddict waiting for their next hit! I need to read the next book in this series right now!!
I really enjoyed this book! The comedy was absolutely top-tier, and I found myself laughing throughout the entire story.
Regina and her frat-bro alpha wolves have a lot to navigate in this installment. Boundaries are tested, secrets are revealed, and plenty of surprises are hidden within these pages. The dynamic between the characters is what truly makes this series shine.
Sean is, without a doubt, my favorite character in the series. He brings so much humor and personality to the story, and every scene with him is entertaining. He honestly helps make this series as enjoyable as it is.
That ending, though! It left me begging for more and counting down the days until I can dive into Book 4. I can’t wait to see what happens next
I love this series! The new pov! Did not see that coming! And that plot twist! Also, did not see that coming! Regina is my girl, I’m rooting for her to have everything she could possible want so badly. This still had all the funny pack moments woven with the emotional topics and even more magic while still keeping the word building easy to follow. Also, my favorite mmc for this book was Sean. He’s still being his goofy self and adding the best comedic relief during high intensity moments. And I’m loving how villenueve’s character arc is playing out. It’s so interesting and kept the story from feeling repetitive which can happen at that third book point in a series.
🐺easy to follow fantasy system ✨likeable mcs 🐺protective heros ✨paranormal romance 🐺1st person pov and dual pov
During the state of things around us, an escape has been more important to my mental health than ever before. This series has been the best. There's the perfect amount of trauma/drama to keep it interesting while it provides so many giggles and also some heat. I love our FMC, and she is just so strong and relentless. I aspire to be as strong as her going forward. I love her & her guys so much. They each provide a different vibe to the story in unique ways, and I love it. Thank you, River & BookSirens, for providing this reading opportunity. I 10/10 recommend jumping into this adventure.
Here's the thing, I love this series, I really liked this book BUT I feel like even with my 5 stars I have to give a heads up. This book is mostly a build-up for what will be book 4, is it a bad thing? Absolutely not, but it does mean the plot moves slow and not much happens in this one that will make you go "wow". Since the series is meant to be 5 books I do not mind it, specifically because it does set up Elias's character in what I think is a solid and fluid way of actually making him a character and not just a side character. So as a setting the book is great, as part of the series it is good, by itself I would consider it weak.
Loved the book, but it ain't over. It starts where we last left off, portal, nasties, battle. Kyle and his band of 'We figured out we suck without you' witches show up and it is on. Kyle, being Kyle, brought along a resurrected werewolf, the same one that attacked Reginia. Git. Trying to keep it away from his mate and packmates, Killian distracts it a little too well. By the time the battle is done (a big ally shows up, guesses?) Killian is close to death.
That's all I'm telling you. Much more is revealed and not much goes right. We are left up in the air and Regina just found out that... Psych! I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
