I love the single dad trope and Ivy Knox knocked it out the park! June and Ziv are so good together and I love the way she fits in with Akkal too. From the very beginning she won his heart. He is so adorable and makes the book even cuter.
This found family really tugs at your heartstrings. Zivren, Akkal and June are literally the cutest family and the way they care for each other is beautiful. If you love a Single-Dad, an adorable kiddo, and nanny turned fake mate who is not so fake, this is for you!

Let me be very honest there is not nothing Ivy Knox writes i will not read. I love this book so much. I read it in 1 day it was that good.
If you love a alien book with a 4-arm purple alien that is built deliciously, The MMC is a virgin, he is tatted, and a single dad, FMC is a beautifully mature older curvy woman, this is most certainly for you.
I WILL ADVISE MY REVIEW MAY HAVE SPOILERS, PLEASE KEEP SCROLLING IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO KNOW.
For starters the little dedication in the front of the book was spot on to what I dream of. It says, "To the smut readers who want off this floating rock and fantasize about landing in the strong arms of an emotionally intelligent man with magic semen." This would be a dream!
Now to the good part, Juniper aka June is newly settled on DI ur Qynia aka the isle of many. She was heading to the shop to get her daily Fassun it isn't coffee, but it gave her energy.
This is where she met ZivRen for the first time. Now both our MMC and our FMC came to the Isle of many escaping there past. June was running from Etirinu. She was kidnapped from earth many years prior and was a slave in this place. The king she was under was mean and abusive. June took care of the king's wives and children who she loved more than anything. Nacarya and Rivarry had decided to kill their husband the king, and June walked in helped and then cleaned up everything. Then the 3 women wanted to leave together but got separated.
Now ZivRan was running from his home planet where his family was royalty. Yet he was born with a different gift, and his family didn't accept him and actually shunned him. He then ventured to the Isle of many and become a firefighter on the island.
Now to the good story ZivRen and June first met at the coffee shop, and she spilled beverage on him, then he rescued her from the water after she got swept in. Then she became his son's nanny. Little Akkal is the absolute sweetest. Just FYI Akkal was created in a synthetic womb with synthetic egg. ZivRan is still a virgin.
Now after June started working for them one morning after she left to head home ZivRan heard June screaming and he rushed out front to see chancellor Uzellarin (like the head of the isle of many), Lord Forchan, and the orange idiots. The Lord was trying to take June back to Etirinu to put her on trial for the king's murder. Thanks to the chancellors quick thinking she claimed june and z were mates and couldn't be separated. The chancellor also stated that test would be given and if failed then and only then could they take her.
So, as time goes on June and Zivran live together and there feeling grow and so does the love. They become intimate for the first time and thats when June found out Zavrin man stuff tasted like vanilla and had mind blowing properties.
Once they pass Zavrin let his mental walls down and sees a vision of one of the orange idiots have fabricated and said some mean stuff to June and she left. Days passed and then he gets a visit from the chancelor who told him ultimaley he didnt meet the criterior to be a citzen and his family paid to bypass and it hit him hard. Then he got a call from Nacarya and Rivarry and they explained what really happened and he felt like an a$$ and went to find his mate.
They make up and wind up being together and sweet Akkal gets his Tetra and vatra together forever.
Overall, once again another amazing book by Ivy Knox that I absolutely love. I can't wait to see what else she comes out with.

At this point, if Ivy writes it, I’m gonna read it! While Rescued By The Alien Dad is not my favourite of her books, it was definitely a fun filled 146 pages! Juniper is a plus size human who has found refuge on a new alien planet after escaping from her previous captors. This new planet is a safe haven for refugees and she's found herself a new home and the possibility of a job working as a nanny for the hot single dad next door. Zivren, dad to the adorable Akkal, is a firefighter and happily living a quiet life after being exiled from his home planet. When the two collide (quite literally) sparks fly, and when Juniper is accused of murder, Zivren steps in and claims her as his mate to save her from imprisonment. While it may seem easy for them to play house, it might not be as simple as it seems when they both start wanting more.
Ivy always has such amazing characters and June is no exception. In her 40s, curvy and navigating the world of perimenopause, she is absolutely not one to let life's traumas stand in her way. Zivren is pretty damn adorable, sweet, protective, kind and incredibly innocent when it comes to the bedroom, so when they finally get together you can 100% expect fireworks! The forced proximity of them having to live together to present this front to the people hunting June really gives them an opportunity to find this deep connection they have, and with June nannying for Akkal, the relationship she develops with him shows Zivren just how beautiful this humans heart is.
If you’re a fan of found family, forced proximity, older mcs and hot aliens with four arms, then this is absolutely the quick and spicy read for you!

Ivy Knox has knocked it out of the park again. She’s the main reason I got into monster romance, and I’ve never looked back.
This is a shorter book at just 146 pages, but it completely pulled me in. I ended up reading it all in one evening.
Zivren is adorable. He’s so naive when it comes to human words and customs that it’s impossible not to love him. Calling underwear “underbottoms” had me laughing so much. The fact he’s a seven foot alien built like a god but is also still a virgin? My heart. ❤️
June is a badass, curvy heroine with all the lumps and bumps that Zivren absolutely worships. The way he yearns for her is everything.
And let’s not forget the magic oonya… 💦😂

This was such a fun, sweet, and spicy read. Ivy Knox packed a lot into this novella, and I found myself completely charmed by June, Zivren, and Akkal.
As a heroine who's around my age and navigating perimenopause, June felt refreshingly relatable. Despite a rough past filled with loss, enslavement, and mistreatment, she hasn't let the world make her bitter. I loved how willing she was to open her heart, not just to Zivren, but to the other people on the island as well, even when some of them are absolute jerkoffs.
Zivren was equally lovable. A strong firefighter, devoted single dad, and secret sweetheart? Sign me up. The fact that he's a virgin & doesn't know what kissing is made for some cute moments. Add in mind-reading abilities, magical tingling 💦, and some fake mating tension, and I was invested.
Once June and Zivren finally stop fighting their attraction, things definitely heat up, and we get creative with all those arms. The emotional connection also continues to grow.
I also absolutely loved the bond that formed between June and Akkal, Zivren's son. It definitely added an extra layer of sweetness to the story.
I'd recommend this to alien romance readers, single dad romance lovers, and anyone looking for a relatable heroine over 40.

I previously discovered Ivy's writing through the Mapletown Monster Mates series, which I love. When I saw she had a new Alien book coming out, I signed up for an ARC. I'm really glad I did!
June, the FMC, is so relatable. She's in her mid 40s, plus sized, and struggling through perimenopause. Love her! She is a refuge who has recently relocated to the Isle of Many. She has a disastrous meet-cute with her neighbor, Zivren. He later saves her from drowning and hires her as his nanny. When June's past comes calling, they are forced into a fake mate/cohabitation situation. They must pass ridiculous tests to prove that they are true mates and to keep June from being exiled and punished for a crime she didn't commit. All the while, they are falling in love and becoming a family. When Zivren's son Akkal calls June Tetra... 💗.
If you love older MCs, found family, alien, fake relationships, romcoms with a little mystery, and a ton of spice, check this one out!

Human FMC Juniper, aka June, is settling in on a refugee planet after being kidnapped from Earth years ago. She is adjusting well and enjoying her new home, but makes a couple of awkward first impressions with her would-be employer, alien MMC Zivren, who is in need of a nanny.
I enjoyed this book a lot. The FMC was funny and easy to like, and the MMC was reserved, but his POV chapters show his true feelings, which are adorable. The planet was interesting with small town vibes, and there were some entertaining plot elements that are difficult to explain without spoilers. It also features sweet found family with the MMC's kid, forced proximity romance, and of course spice, featuring some… creative alien biology.
Overall, this was a fun, quick read. I’m looking forward to checking out more in the series.

This was absolutely adorable. What a fun way to do forced proximity/forbidden romance (i.e. The Nanny)
June needs a job, Zivren needs a nanny to watch his son overnight while he works. The arrangement is super simple and easy to manage. She comes at night while he works and she leaves when he comes home. Everything is going well until 3 men show up attempting to take June, accusing her of murder and the only way to keep her safe is to say they're mated and deal with the consequences as they come.
*Instant attraction? ✔

*They have to live together to keep up appearances? ✔

Honestly the only complaint was pacing/length. I wanted more of their in between time with them getting to know cute and fun things about each other, more of their evening rituals 😏 but for the length we got everything was so perfect. Akkal called June Tetra and my heart leapt out of my chest. They were all so precious 🖤
June needs a job, Zivren needs a nanny to watch his son overnight while he works. The arrangement is super simple and easy to manage. She comes at night while he works and she leaves when he comes home. Everything is going well until 3 men show up attempting to take June, accusing her of murder and the only way to keep her safe is to say they're mated and deal with the consequences as they come.

This was such a cosy, cute read with swooning, slow burn tension, chemistry and the banter between June and Zivren was 🔥add a little bit of yearning and finding love you are worthy of. The way Zivren tried to deny that June was affecting him the pull he had towards her and June never wants to leave his side and even with her struggle with perimenopause, it doesn’t change his feelings for her and after everything she’s been through she deserves her HEA 💕

June is such a breath of fresh air. She’s a curvy, mature heroine in her 40s who is navigating perimenopause and dealing with some heavy past trauma, but she hasn't let life make her bitter. She is resilient, open-hearted, and impossible not to root for. Zivren is a devoted single dad. He is also incredibly sweet, humble, and protective.
When June’s past catches up with her, she and Zivren need to pretend to be mates to save her. I loved how the forced proximity of living together and Zivren’s adorable son allows their emotional connection to grow into something real. They become a real family.

Okay so imagine this, you’re a single alien dad looking for a nanny, your weird human neighbor keeps bumping into you one day and on this day she gets pulled into the ocean and starts to drown, so you go and save her and she spews water all over you and deliriously says, “hot neighbor?” Oh and also she applied to be your new nanny. Because that’s what happens to the MMC in this book. And I laughed so hard I cried when that happened because it was so relatable!
This was such a fantastic story! If you are a sucker for a single dad, an alien MMC who doesn’t know what a kiss is and she has to teach him, a virgin MMC (I know he has a kid but it’s explained how), fake dating into a real relationship and some hilarious moments between the couple then this is going to be a perfect read for you!

A novella that I didn’t know I needed but you know what? Hell yeah! Hahah
But seriously, first time reading the single dad trope with a little of fake dating in a paranormal setting and I’m glad to say that it hits so good!
This story is quick paced and with enough world building to set us perfectly in the ambience of this tropical little planet and the background story is so interesting that I was immediately invested!
I really enjoyed reading about these two, Zivren is stoic and very straightforward but he didn’t count with the chaotic energy his new nanny were and the temptation that was going to be and when she was in trouble? Helping her was a no brainer!
Overall is a short, funny and sweet story with the single dad/ nanny trope and a little plot twist that makes it even better!

This was such a fun read and it hit the sweet and spicy category perfectly ;D Juniper/June is on planet to have a fresh start. She's had a hard past but I love how she didn't really let it define her. I also loved her bond with Zivren's son, Akkal, as his nanny. Zivren was awesome. A great single dad, a strong fireman and a romantic at heart. He has some special skills that really set him apart for June, though. Think mind reading abilities and magical 'seamen' ;P I loved seeing the sparks between them, but also love that you can feel their emotional connection as they work their way to a fab HEA. All together, this was a fab read and I'm looking forward to the next book :D

I absolutely loved this short, sweet, and seamy story! There was no denying Ziv and Juniper were made for each other, even if they initially couldn't accept it themselves. They understood and accepted each other on a level that no one could touch. And the chemistry between them...electric! I also adored seeing Juniper with Akkal. The bond they shared, the trust they built. It was so lovely to see. All three of them together, magical. I thoroughly enjoyed this story from beginning to end.

June 27, 2026Ivy writes stories in a way that makes me feel like I'm watching my favorite TV show. I always chuckle and feel deep emotions during my reading. This was a twist on the typical taken human woman, as June is in her 40s and dealing with all of the life changes that come with that.

At first, I expected the book to follow the same storyline as others I’ve read or watched before, but I was genuinely delighted to find otherwise. While it shares a familiar basic plot, it also introduces its own special twists and turns that kept the story exciting and fresh.

This was such a fun wee novella! I’m always a fan of Ivy’s alien romance books but this one hit me a little harder than the rest. I loved that Juniper wasn’t the usual 19 year old waif. She was plus-size and perimenopausal and absolutely, unapologetic about it! Zivren and Akkal were great too! They made sweet little family and I really enjoyed their story.

Their first time meeting was a cute as hell disaster as well as their second time meeting but you could feel the chemistry brewing. They had a connection that only grew with time and trust. I really loved June and Akkal’s relationship. They had such a special bond from the beginning and it really warmed my heart.
