Rejected-mate = h's chosen mate keeps holding off on completing the bond. Every time the h tries, she gets rejected. The chosen mate never commits to the h until the h has to break the partial bond.

Cheating = Chosen mate is railing the secretary on the regular

h sees H (not the real H, but the chosen mate) with OW = h sees one of the times chosen mate was railing the secretary

h gets to find her true H/true mate and they have their HEA.

Giggle-worthy = There were a couple of lines in the book that really got me to giggle... they relate to the H's "print" (if you know, you know) and how his print went up in letter size :-)

Very short, easy read.

One of the problems I’m having with many of these newer books is continuity issues and how it feels all the pieces don’t fit together because they can’t seem to remember what they already told us. Some readers might be able to just go with it, but my brain cares about details and it REALLY pulls me out of the story. So, when things like…

Those bits aside, it was a super dry read because a large chunk of the book was the h and new H in a house together not building a relationship, so it felt like filler.

Bottom Line- I can go with a lot in fiction. Special powers, magic, 2 cocks, whatever, but I need books to make sense and follow the timeline/rules/facts provided. This is very short, less than 50 pages. The betrayal happens at the very beginning and doesn’t really deliver any deep emotion because she doesn’t really care at all. She does get a teeny bit of revenge, but that’s it. No drama or angst, no chemistry or relationship development with Gideon.

1.5 meh — super rushed which I get but meh. The whole “I’m not in love with you yet” to her true mate but then she allows him to mark her and bond but again at the ending was a reiteration of the fmc saying “I’m not in love you.” wtf

short, sweet and full of potential

honestly, 3.75⭐ read. i mean, yeah, at some point i would have loved a gideon pov or five, and aurora was cute and funny. and now, with her wolf strong, i would also have liked an epilogue. but listen, it was a really nice palate cleanser—no overbearing, pig headed alphahole mmc, no whiny trips even when standing still so cute fmc. the author has potential for a full-length omegaverse novel if she wanted to, but sometimes when doing something new, you want to start off slow. nothing ever great was done by rushing into something headfirst. cut indie authors some slack.

cute short story

Gives happily ever after for now but definitely sets us up for forever. Would I have liked more drama? Of course. But this was satisfying.

Satisfying GP

Another satisfying guilty pleasure novella. Packed a drama filled punch at lightning speed and worked as a quick palette cleanser.

Good story. Good read

Short but a good story. A novella? Good from start to finish. I like the FMC and and true MMC. I wished it had been dual POV but it was still good
