This is a light murder mystery set at the beginning of the Second World War. The plot works and the main protagonists are engaging. However there are so many characters who are so similar as to be almost indistinguishable and I kept getting muddled about who was who.
This author later wrote under the name Liz Evans (her real name I believe) and I found those books much snappier and better edited.
