I don't read Taboo book like this all that often, but I have to admit that when in the right mood for one, they kind of rock!!

There were a few times where this was a little too cute and silly and others where it was pretty intense and sexy.

I really enjoyed it and will definitely be reading more from this author :D

I was given this book by the author for an honest review

I couldn't finish the book, I thought it was a little bit "childish". when the guy was taking off his clothes he was too much confident not wearing underwear and the girl character was ogling him even though she wasn't some virgin. (I don't remember her name) The girls (the main character and her best friend which I don't remember her name either) were fighting over Dante whereas they met him only once and he was "soooo perfect".

They follow him to the beach like "why not?" someone that perfect couldn't do them any harm? uhh I was a bit annoyed ... She's already dry humping the guy under the water and all of a sudden she figures out that he is her stepbrother ! WOAAAHH what a suspens I really didn't expect it !! I think... I have stopped reading at the 64rd page.

I skipped a few page to read the epilogue but that didn't change anything.
This book would fit better with teenagers, I am twenty-one so it really wasn't for me. I tried but .. no.

Sorry It wasn't my intention to be mean but I didn't like this book, I'm just being honest.

Devon has taken a taboo subject and turned into a amazing love story

Skye is a typical 18 year old school who is going through SATs, her best friend Rox by her side all they dream about is hot boys and college.
Skye lives at home with her strict dad Gordon and her laid back step mom Catarina, Catarina has a son but hasn't seen him in 7 years as he lives with his dad.

The girls decide to take a trip out and find themselves face to face with the hottest looking man they have ever seen, this hot man turns out to be the one and only step brother Dante who finds himself drawn to Skye but when Skye takes him home to meet his mom Gordon knows there is something going on between them.
Dante introduces Phoebe and Skye is heartbroken that her step brother has moved on to the next girl.
Skye not only finds herself dealing with heart break but also someone has leaked a photo of Dante and Skye in a very inappropriate way for step brother/ sister so Skye has to deal with cyber bullying as well as the dirty looks and constant comments directed her way, she is deeply hurt when Rox turns her back and Skye and doesn't even acknowledge her anymore.

The infamous Romeo and Kat make an appearance and life seems to make sense to both Skye and Dante and Skye can finally face the world again and stand up to her bullies,

The way this story twists and turns leaves you guessing but also wanting to know what happens next. I definitely had a love/hate relationship with Dante as his mind works in the opposite direction to the way you would think.

Fantastic book by Devon but I do love his books a full 5* read go grab it and experience this for yourself

I'm a little torn on this book. Parts were really funny, but then it got old kind of fast. The high school slang ended up making Skye sound like she was 12 instead of 18 and I wondered how a 21 year old world traveler could stand it. I think my favorite line was her dad telling her "Words are free so use them". Bascially stop creating useless abbreviations. Also the spanish use of love terms got old fast. There is something to be said for "too much of a good thing". If you like insta love YA, this book us for you.

I had to push myself to continue reading and even though it wasn't snap snap snap it was a fairly solid story .

I loved Dante because apart from being frigging sexy as ... he had a more mature attitude.
Skye was a sweetie but annoying with her immature attitude.

I was given a copy for an honest review.

I am in love with Dante Lord. All book boyfriends need to move aside, because a new leading man is in town! I had to pace myself while reading this book. I did not want to put it down!

Dante and Skye have an undeniable chemistry from the beginning. They are explosive together! There are some seriously steamy scenes between the two. However, we quickly learn that their relationship is doomed to fail. They get involved with each other without knowing they are stepbrother and sister. Dante left his family years before Skye's father and Dante's mother became involved, so they never met. The stepbrother situation makes their love affair even more intriguing. This book is HOT with very well written steamy scenes, not for the faint of heart!

I absolutely love Skye's character. She is young, 18, and SO refreshing! Skye is your typical teenager dealing with the pressures of deciding what to do after high school as well as your normal day to day drama that all high schoolers deal with. Then Dante, the free spirited handsome drifter comes into the picture, and a whole new set of emotions comes into play. I like how Devon shows that even at the age of 18, you can fall in love and it can be real.

One thing that Devon touches on in this book is the issue of cyber bullying. I can't imagine being a teenager in high school today. With all of the social media outlets there are available to students now, bullying gets way out of hand. Devon takes a cyber bullying situation and shows how fast and how much damage can take place in a small amount of time.

This is my first Devon Hartford book, and I am HOOKED! I have no idea where Devon has been my whole life, but I am now a devoted fan!

Two beautiful souls, and one forbidden love makes for a fantastic love story!

ARC given for an honest review

Wowizers. Holy smokes! This book is just that good. The author has a way with his writing to just draw you in and keep you focused. I had a hard time putting the book down. The emotions you will feel and the chemistry is so hot between the two of them. I really enjoyed reading the story and it does have a HEA :) No cliffhanger!

I can't help the way I feel about him, I can't turn it off

Skye is starting her senior year in high school and her dad is tough on her with her SAT. She does the best that she can and deals with drama at school. Her and her BFF go out to a water park and Skye meets the hottest guy she ever seen. She can't get enough of him. Only when she finds out that it is Dante Lord, her stepbrother that she never met before.

Dante hasn't been to the US since he was 14. He decides to make amends with his mom who he hasn't seen in years. He decides to go the water park and when he sees Skye he can't help but get close to her. Only then he finds out that he is Skye's stepbrother...

I can't keep running away, I'm not going anywhere. I love you and I'm here

This story will keep you focused and you may feel the emotions like I did. You won't regret reading the story. It is one hot steamy love romance book! Great job to the author.

I've enjoyed several other books by Devon Hartford so this book was definitely on my radar. Reading the outline, I was a little doubtful but went ahead anyway."Stepbrother Obsessed" is an interesting read & Devon's characters are well drawn; the crux of the story is, apparently, a hot topic, with so many books dealing with the supposed taboo of step-love. In my view, it's not taboo, no blood relationship exists, so no problem.
The 2nd theme in the story was cyber-bullying - a very real problem faced by 100s of kids every day & I think that it was well handled by the author. The leading characters Skye, a senior in high-school, was very young, more like a 13 year old, bullied by her father into studying all summer for her "future" while Dante, the step brother was a reasonably mature 21 year old free spirit who'd quit school early & wandered around different countries.
I enjoyed the story, it was a good length but felt the ending left much unresolved. The author asks fans if they want to read more about this couple, so there may be another story about them & I'll consider reading it; but if there isn't more, it won't be a problem.
A mixed review? Most definitely. Will I read more offerings from Devon Hartford? Again, most definitely, but this book is nowhere as good as earlier works.

I don't know if it's my age showing or what but reading this book made me feel old and crabby. I am actually surprised I finished this book.

1- The language that the teenagers use! ugh. "Obvi" for one drives me insane. NO. just use the whole damn word, for the love of everything. "totes", "O.M. Genius", and any other abbreviation/acronym also made me cringe.

2- no parent would condone their relationship, much less let them sleep together in the same house. So that aspect of the story line did not seem believable to me. Plus, he is 21 and traveled the world. SHe is a sheltered, immature 18 year old. In all seriousness, why in the hell would he want to go through all of that for sex? And no, I do not believe they could actually be in love for all of the 5 seconds that they knew each other before they had sex. Infatuation? Totally. Lust. Definitely. Love? *surejangif*

3- I really did not like Skye. She was completely immature, whiny and a selfish brat.

4- The slut shaming in this book. Every other word was SLUT. If High schools are really like this now, I am completely glad that I went to HS when I did. I loved my HS experience.

This is the first male author I've ever read or can remember reading, I think Devon did an awesome job I really loved Dante he was a passionate man, "you like that , don’t you?” He massages my a** with powerful hands and grinds against me." Skye was sweet and innocent and I found it amusing for her to ask Dante things, "the flap of his fly keeps getting in the way. “Can we, um, push your pants down or something." Dante is the type of man to let his woman know he appreciates her, "when I was staring at your a** at 7-Eleven, I couldn’t get over how incredible it was." There was one conversation these two had while having sex that had me pi**ing myself laughing:
"What can I say? Balls are lazy fuckers,” he winks. “But they still want some love.”
"What do I do?”
“Just play with them. But be gentle. A little goes a long way."
Dante really has no shame when it comes to his girl, "Dante walks in completely naked. He tosses a small box of condoms on the bathroom countertop and closes the door behind him, locking it." I really liked this book.

I can't say this is an excellent book. Or even a good one. It was written as though penned by a 14 year old rather than an 18 year old. I kept having to take breaks because it was making my brain hurt. My friend assured me that it'd get better and it kind of did once they got together, but the absolute immaturity of the heroine's voice outweighed her sassiness. Also, the random Spanish? WTH? If they'd been speaking it from the beginning it'd be more understandable but once they got down and dirty suddenly they're speaking Spanish to each other...made no sense.

I can't with the book.. A lot of repetitive words.. I get having a nickname but when it's worn out I jus can't get into it.. Skye was so annoying.. "Like" "totally" "The bod god"... I understand she's 18 but she worked my nerves pretty quickly.. She's the stereotypical 18 year old.. Caring about her body his body her skimpy bathing suit.. Jus not my cup... And I love step brother books.. Sadly this one was a miss for me.. Maybe I expected too much..

Skye Albright, 18 and entering her senior year of what’s to be the best year ever in high school hits a major hell storm of epic, catastrophic proportions. It seems that Skye has always managed to steer clear of the rumor mill within the hallowed halls of high school; that is until one of her classmates from hell snaps a photo of her and this stranger in a compromising position! It all goes back to when Rox and Skye go to Blazing Waters waterpark and run into Ashley and her fem bots! The jealousy that eats at Ashely as she sees Skye making out with this gorgeous, blonde surfer guy. Ashley does her best to make Skye look and feel less than good enough to be with the likes of this, hunk of beefcake.

Poor Skye has had the summer from hell, with her overbearing father making her study for the upcoming SAT’s, that’s not until October, she’s been a prisoner to prepping! So, who’s this hot, hunk of beefcake you ask??? Well, as Skye makes out with this too good to be true gorgeous god, she finds out it’s none other than her wayward traveler step brother, Dante Lord!!!!! Dante has been estranged from his mother, Catarina; and had no idea that she even remarried. Dante is 21 and has been out of touch with his mother for over seven years. Now that Dante is starting to have a thing for Skye, what’s going to happen when he comes to stay at her dad’s house?

Skye’s dad is overbearing and extremely protective of his only daughter; not to mention he carries himself with pride in all things. So, when this tattooed, shaggy haired, motorcycle riding step son arrives, what will happen when it’s discovered that Dante isn’t just a long, lost son, but he’s also sleeping with his own step sister?

How does Skye plan to cope with it all? I mean, she’s in love with the hottest guy on the planet, and is having the best sex of her life, how can it all go wrong? Skye and Dante should be having the time of their lives, right? They’re young and have the world at their feet, what could possibly go wrong in the love lives of teenagers? As the rumor mill cranks up several octaves, Skye is pushed to her limits and leaves Dante trying to do the right thing by her, which is to break her heart and leave her.

As mother and son get pitted against the husband and daughter who will come out the victor in this? Skye loves Catarina, she’s the only mom she knows, and she seethes with anger at her overbearing dad who refuses to see the good in Dante; as the storm continues to swell between Dante and Gordon, it’s bound to end up crashing down in a battle of wills, so when this happens, who’s left standing?

As the journey unfolds, Dante, Skye and Rox trip along the typical hi jinx that only high schooler’s seem to fall into! This laugh out loud banter that Skye has going on in her head will keep you turning the page to see just what she’ll do, or say next; not to mention, take you back to your days spent in high school, where everything was do or just die!!!

As always, Devon Hartford truly has a way with a story. He has the ability to take you on a roller coaster of laughter, that will keep you hooked from the first page until the last, and then leaving you wanting more. The way he crosses over characters from his other books, which is done brilliantly, and keeps his fans in touch with the characters we’ve all come to love and cherish is always a delight. A big thumbs up for Romeo and Kamiko who thrilled me when they arrived on the scene.

This is an honesty review.

Bewared this a steamy hot addictive story between Sky and Dante. once you start reading it you can not put it down. I don't know many books that asks questions toward the reader which is brilliant as it feels like sky is talking to you at some points in the book.

Sky is a young girl who hates the social status as Ashley boots any girl down that gets to near the top. Sky is more interested in trying to get a high score on her maths sat as she sucks. During her summer she is forced to study maths. fortunately her awesome step mother cat gets her dad to allow her the last week to do what teenagers do.

At the start of the book it start with a bang literally as Sky is getting of with a Sexy hot guy in the pool while having an awesome orgasm. While Sky is in utter bliss. That all changes when one Mr sexy tells her his true name which is Dante Lord. Sky is in shock as Dante is her step-brother. But Dante don't know his mother remarried Sky's dad.

Sky is utterly jealous of Roxy her best friend as she knows if she doesn't avoid the sexual attraction towards him(well who could blame her. His sexy hot, ripped, tattoos and drives a freaking motorcycle)then she knows it can ruin her fathers marriage.

Both Roxy and Sky at the start pinky sweared they would let Dante choose between them. But that changes when Sky realizes their family. Roxy is a crazy flirt who will try and get Dante into bed but Sky is doing all she can to get Rox to stop. But will their relationship get ruined over this sexy hot guy?

Everything changes when Dante comes around for the first night for dinner. Sky's dad Gordon isn't stupid and notices they way Dante looks at Sky with lust and sexual tension. While Cat Dante's mother is over joyed as she hasn't seen him since he was 14yr.

sky and Dante are still hotter then hot for each over. As they start to fool around with each over. I'm talking about hot orgasm in a library and sneaking around in the house with one another under Gordon's noise.

While in the Library some one snaps a photo of the two of them embrace in each others arms. which doesn't help when theirs no lights on, sky is near enough naked while Dante's jeans are unbuckled and lower then lower around his hips. which the picture of them both out their its only a matter of time before everyhing blows up.

Sky will be left with nothing when Rox see the picture as she's head over heels for him. her father Gordon will be outraged and chase Dante away which will tear his marriage apart. Can Sky be strong enough to handle it all and will Dante stay or go?

Dante is hot for Sky and is willing to sneak around to have her not matter the cost. Sky is the same as she can not get enough of him. When their both together sparks fly of from single touches. Their sexual attraction is hot and steamy it leave them wanting more. But are they willing to lose everything just so they can be together?

The story is brilliant and I love both Sky and Dante. Sky is funny and when she gets angry you don't want to be near her as she grows a back bone and gets back at the people who ruined her life. Dante is hot and sexy but is very very cocky. his funny and likes to put people in their place.

Please please can we have another Dante and Sky novel. Their brilliant characters and the story is just to awesome to stop now.

Before I start my review, I feel like I should explain how I happened to read a book like this one. I'll make it quick. I just moved out of my parents house and my native island. I couldn't bring all of my 400 and more precious books so I decided to let them all and make my parents send them to me later. While waiting, I'm reading ebooks, preferably for free cause I'm a student away from home now. I'm very specific about what I buy as an ebook and a paper version. Paper version are my favorites, obvi, so fantastic, science fiction and every thing. Ebooks are for romance. This one was on Kindle Unlimited and while I don't really see what all the fuss is about on being in love with your stepbrother/stepsister when you're not related by blood and didn't even grew up knowing each other, I kind of like the feeling of something being forbidden. Booh me!
The first pages of the book actually kept me interested, I almost missed my stop on the subway while reading but really it was just the moments before the actual meeting so the fascination didn't last long. Skye was funny - on the first pages - and the guy looked hot. Well...he's a 21 yo guy who dropped out of high school - at this point, he lost 20% of my interest...dude if you can't even make it to high school... - to travel the world. Yay you, that's one hell of an experience, you should have gain some maturity and all that. But no, he went and offered beers to 2 teenagers. And the girls are like "that's a little bit pervy but he's so hot so here we go!!" Pfff, I'd like to pretend no girls are like that for real but I know they actually exist and it's so, so sad!! The guy held no interest to me with his stupid spanish. I don't know if it's because I'm french and in french, Sky, Cielo it's "Ciel" and it's a masculine word. So, I felt like it wasn't really romantic to call a girl "Cielo", it actually sounded ridiculous. Well, that's me thinking. The girl? It looked like she was 12, no more, so I couldn't really see what hooked the guy so hard. I guess she was funny, sometimes, but on her best days. Most of the time, she was just and idiot, the kind of girl I'd like to slap if we ever met. She was always talking about SATs, grades, college and everything but on the other side - sorry - she looked dumb to me. The relationship in itself didn't really looked romantic or anything else, it just seem like they were both attracted to each other and unable to resist. 80% of the book was about their fight to be together and even that, the guy was able to kill it by being an asshole to her - and of course, every time she was like "Oh ok, I forgive you because you're too hot!" Damn if it was me...!!! But I'm not 12...er I meant 18!
Well, after this book I decided to make my first order at Amazon since I moved out, because I need to read some real thing!! So, I guess I should say thank you?

Forbidden Love?

Is it wrong to sleep with your Stepbrother?

For Sky Albright it’s not. Falling In love is a whole other story.

Sky is a smart newly turned 18 year old senior in high school, she is all about school, SAT and going to college. Well, actually she’s doing it all for her dad. Her dad wants her to have the top score in SAT and he won’t accept anything less. Yes, Sky was getting burnt out with all the studying, even during summer break before she starts Senior year starts, but she was fine with it all. Until Dante Lord walked into her life that is…

Dante a 21 yrs old surfer looking, hot guy who one day walk into her line of view and never left. Dante may not have finished school, but he is book smart. He knows a lot and have no problem helping others when needed. He usually doesn’t stay in one place for too long, to not complicate his life. But the day he met Sky was the day his whole outlook on life changed.

 photo StepbrotherObsessed-Teaser.jpg

This love story started out fast, there was no let’s date and get to know each other. It was bang wham thank you ma'am. These two go straight to the point and yes, that means sex. Sky was never one to sleep with just anyone, but with Dante she felt like she wanted to give him everything. But sleeping with her stepbrother has it’s limit. The day their parents finds out what’s going on, is the day their life went from simple to crazy. Will Sky and Dante give up each other for the sake of their parents? Or will they say F**k it all and be together? Read and find out.

This story goes from 0 to 60, very fast paced romance, that if you don’t pay attention you will definitely miss something. It was basically love at first sight with these two, no holding anything back. Even though Sky is a smart girl, when it came to Dante she could be very childish and stupid. Same thing with Dante, these two play games that leaves each other, lost in their game of love. I do wish Sky was a little less a sex maniac when it came to Dante, but she couldn’t help it I guess. When it came to Dante, Sky was very open with her sexuality and will leave nothing unexplored. But all in all, not a bad story. It was quite entertaining that it kept me reading. Thx for sharing your book with me Devon Hartford.

*Given a copy for an honest review*

So if you were to go through my Goodreads reviews you would see that I love me a good stepbrother romance. This was one of those that I would actually recommend and read again. There were somethings that I didn't care for, such as it was a little immature at times, but it was a story based on a girl in high school. The other thing was some of the slang. I could have done without the word "grot" (groan plus not). That word was so annoying, but again it was two high school students speaking, so I totally get the annoying slang. I have two high school age sisters that half the time I have no idea what they are saying. Other than those two issues I really enjoyed the book. Rox and Skye have the relationship every girl should have. Even though there is a time of hardship they stick together in the end and are still "best friends since forever." I think Dante and Skye had great chemistry from the beginning. Their whirlwind romance is rocky from the beginning after learning they are step-siblings, but that doesn't stop them when they realize they are in love with each other. Dante tried to be the good guy in a since by pushing Skye away, so he doesn't ruin her family, but when love is involved that's all that mattered in the end. I don't feel like their story is over though. I hope there is at least a book from Dante's point of view starting from the time he left his mom to live with his dad. There is so much that we don't know about him or what happened to him. Also where does he get his money since he doesn't work? Their epilogue was cute, but didn't say when it was taking place. Was this after Skye graduated high school or was it when she graduated college? I definitely think they need at least one more story from the time she graduated high school because we don't know what took place after that.
Devon does a great job shinning a light on the "slut bashing" that is done in high school especially now that social media is around. Girls seem to be the worst offenders too. Ashley is the best example of what high school bitches are like. There is one of her at every school and people are just too scared to stand up to her in fear of being the next target. So bravo for writing about this subject that most don't like to bring up and how bad it can actually get for a girl when another is jealous of her.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone especially those that love to read stepbrother romances.

Gratefully gifted a copy of this book and here is my review in return.
This is a very soft and gentle love story, the author guides you through winding, slow trails as the story unfolds.
This generally percieved as a taboo subject, but the author handles it really well, putting both the fore and against views. Some people don't and won't differenciate between blood and non-blood related step siblings. During this story of Dante and Skye you begin to realise that it's true that you can't control who you fall inlove with, and perhaps we should all be a little more open minded and a lot less blinkered. All too often family and friendships are destroyed because of one or two persons opionions; rightly or wrongly, are forced on to everyone else. This book shows the conflict that happens when exactly that situation arises, but in this case you get to hear the other voices that are involved, something that doesn't always happen in real life.
Dante and Skye's story does highlight that sometimes there are family and friends that will stand and show support, maybe those that do have a better understanding of the fact that if you are meant to be with a certain someone, whoever that maybe, then that is how it is.
The author also includes a fair amount of comedy moments that lighten the seriousness of the subject. I haven't heard the expressions " a total spaz " and " dabbled in diddling each other " in a very long time! And how nice it was to see Romeo again, be it all too brief!

Yet again the author changes direction of his style of writing for this book, this is a very clever move on his part and shows diversity and talent. Some authors set a pattern and repeat, repeat, repeat, but Devon manages to change his style with each story to be told. This makes for exciting reading, because you never know which way the book will go.
I can't wait for the next book, but I don't think Devon can write it quick enough for all his fans! I may have to go back and read Fearless, the first book that I read from this author, just to keep me going!

I think there are great things in store for this author in 2016. If you don't read any other books this year, just make sure you read this one.
