Hope returning home. Love that’s been tested. And a family ready to face the future together.Kenneth Garrett is awake, and after months of fear, waiting, and heartbreak, the Garrett family can finally breathe again. But with their happiness comes the knowledge that Kenneth still has a long recovery ahead.
For Charley, her father’s progress opens the door to something she has pushed aside for too long - a future with Ray that isn’t overshadowed by constant worry and crisis.
Nicole is drawn back to Ralph after she learns why he pulled away from their family, as the last pieces of the investigation begin to fall into place. And Vicky, once so certain her return was only temporary, is starting to realize that the life she wants may be right here on the coast.
Saving Shorelight Ranch was only the beginning.
Now the Garretts must decide what home looks like for each of them—and for the family they’ve fought so hard to hold together.
The Place We Belong is the final book in the Lighthouse Landing series — a clean, emotional coastal family saga with sisterhood, slow-burn romance, later-in-life love, and a gentle mystery woven through all six books.
Escape to Lighthouse Landing, where family runs deep, love grows slowly, and secrets never stay hidden for long.
What a series! How can a series be successfully completed when the plot is still being developed three chapters before the end of the final book? Ask Megan Jacobs! Although Kenneth’s sudden change in health status gives the family new hope, their problems are far from over as they continue to seek closure to events that took place twenty years earlier. Even as the sisters, and their respective children, resolve their personal relationships, relaxing her audience into a false sense of “Whew, the author is finalising the series with happy-ever-afters for everyone”, new threats to their lives and wellbeing occur, making readers sit on the edge of their seats in anticipation again and again. I considered the Mermaid Cove series the most memorable of this author’s series, but Megan Jacobs has outdone herself and Lighthouse Landing definitely tops my list now 😊. This was the conclusion book to the Garrett family’s story that started with a mystery that put the patriarch of the family in the hospital in a coma. Several arrests have been made at this point except to the hidden head of the organization behind all this who is still pulling strings ruining Charley’s chances of turning the ranch around. She has to face her traumatic past so she can find success as a trainer in a sport she loved with the man she loves. I was angry at Nicole’s husband for abandoning her and their daughter, but the truth is revealed in this book. Vicky has come into her own as a public prosecutor and gets a thrill out of bringing about convictions that she never got working in corporate law. She’s drawing closer to Warren but will putting his father in prison drive a wedge between them? Her children have grown and found their own successful paths too. This was a nice conclusion to this series with several suspenseful and sweet moments.
This is a clean romance/women's fiction/a little bit of suspense novel. it is a part of a series and the ending book of the series. To understand the plot line and characters, you need to read the prior five books.
This was a great read from book 1 to this final book 6. The characters are likeable and interesting. I like the family dynamics. It was interesting to find out who all the characters are of the smuggling ring. There were a couple of surprises that I definitely did not expect. But I like how the family worked together. I will say my least favorite character was Nicole's husband. Maybe I'm still mad at him, not sure. But if you want a set of books that are a good read, this one is it. Because each of the books are long, you'll ant to be ready to settle in for a long satisfying read.

The final book in the Lighthouse Landing Series, The Place Where We Belong, brings everything together including the three sisters for a lasting family. Working together with the two health scares behind them, all ready to start better fulfilling lives in Lighthouse Landing. With all loose ends tied up, all secrets revealed and all criminals behind bars, it is a fitting conclusion. This women’s fiction story does have the sisters finding their true loves, but I was most happy over Nicole’s. Something about her marriage kept pointing to more than she suspected. I was so glad to see how that subplot worked out for her. This is a series that is best to read in order. What is great all six books by Megan Jacobs are ready to read so no need to wait on the next book but read straight through the series now.
We have reached the end of this series so we expect some movement when before it seemed like the whole Garrett clan was stuck in some kind of limbo.
Kenneth's health changes, Vicky's got a new job, Nichole and Ralph have a scare around Ralph's health and Charley and Ray get closer and everything seems to be coming out fine until....it doesn't
And it all revolves around an unknown person or people tracing back to the smuggling. And as things start to resolve there is still that person out there trying to not get caught but tripping up on themselves in the process.
I read this book in one sitting. I had fallen in love with these characters which I often do with Megan Jacobs stories and I highly recommend this book. 5/5.
[ Disclaimer: I received this book from the author. However it didn't affect my reading or review for any reason]
The Garrett sisters are now working together to keep the ranch afloat, praying for their father's recovery and to learn and to expose everything they can research and find regarding the drug ring that existed in Lighthouse Landing. There will be difficulties, violence, pain, sickness, community involvement, and the family will remain together and all the loose ends will be solved. There will be a happy ending for most of the characters which will either start doing what they wanted and/or will find their partner for life. It's a romance with mystery that closes an entertaining series! I thank the author for this ARC.
This final book brings so many of the long‑running mysteries of Lighthouse Landing to light, tying together threads that have been building from the very beginning. These characters have been such a joy to follow—so vivid and heartfelt that they’ve come to feel like family. The story is packed with emotion, danger, family bonds, long‑held secrets finally revealed, and a love that anchors it all. A beautiful, satisfying end to a wonderful series.

I'm so sad and yet happy too, in finishing this series. This was one of my favorites to date. It had me flipping the pages way into the night numerous times. The family dynamics and secrets, mystery, old and new romance, multiple stories running at one time and that it was a clean read left me satisfied and wishing it didn't have to end. I read a lot of books and this one is one that has stuck with me, remembering what occurred in the previous books when the new sequel came out. I received an ARC and these are my thoughts given freely without influence from the publisher or author.
I have absolutely loved this series! From book one through the end of book six I was pulled into the story and invested in the lives of the Garrett family. Seeing this fractured family come together, face their differences and misunderstandings, and ultimately unite stronger than ever was a beautiful story on its own. When you add in the mystery and four different love stories this series has it all. This book provides the perfect conclusion to each of the storylines.

The place we belong is often the last place we think of ,but that’s because it’s not always the easiest at first. Or maybe a bubble has to burst. Well some of the stuff was really rough and had to be weathered. Some people found they felt tethered and needed to fly …only to be by right where they always were intended and least said soonest mended . Full circle or the beginning? Read and decide for yourself how this stunning saga ends my friends . It’s perfectly Megan Jacobs in its telling and it’s mightily compelling .
Well this has been a great series from the first book right up to and including this last and final one in the Lighthouse Landing series.
The Garrett family were put through the wringer from the start and getting to know all their stories as individuals was a pleasure and delighted all were wrapped up neatly in the end.

I love all things Megan Jacobs, and this does not disappoint; this is the final book in the Lighthouse Landing series. We finally get all the answers to the smuggling ring. Updates on Kenneth's recovery. Charly's and Ray's relationship. Nicole and Ralph's divorce or not. Vicky and Sheriff Gage, plus her kids. What a great ending to a fantastic series!! Love the plot, great setting, and strong intense interesting characters. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Megan Jacobs!!!
There are so many decisions that need to be made for the benefit of the family. The characters all have their inner conflicts they have to work with and work through. Some of the decisions can affect the whole family but what is the right choice? Like the setting in the background of the story. The characters have a lot that they can add to the story. Good read.

An amazing conclusion to this series. These books warmed my heart as I read about the family and the challenges they have been facing. I enjoyed the support and hope, a true inspiration. So much fun to read. I received a copy of this book from the author. I am leaving a voluntary and honest review.
This was a great ending to the series! Despite this being the book that wraps up the story, there was plenty of action. The mystery fully unfolds and there's plenty of happily ever afters. Clean, sweet, no cussing. Thanks for the early read Megan!
This is the final book in the series. I love the way the author filled in the blanks from the previous books. I highly recommend this series. You won't be disappointed.
I received a free ARC, and this is my honest opinion.
What will happen to the ranch? Will Charlie start training horses and make money for the ranch? Will Kenneth get better and come home? Does the person in charge of the smuggling ring get caught? I received a free book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5/5⭐️ This is the last book in the series and all the secrets are finally out in the open. I loved how things were wrapped up in the end for each of the sisters.
They had to go through their respective challenges to find their happy ever after but all is worth it in the end.
What a Fantastic ending, to a great series. A beautiful story of how the 3 Garrett sisters fell apart as a family and were able to get it back together after an accident with their father. Just an unbelievable story beginning to end. Totally loved it, Megan. A MUST READ.
What a prefect way to wrap up this series. I loved seeing the sisters finally finding their happy. This really brought everything together nicely. This was sweet and with that bit of suspense really made this entire read wonderful. Sad to see it end. But this was a great way to bring it to a close.
This is the final book of the series. After all the secrets are out and the guilty are in jail, peace comes to the family. Romances continue to flourish for the couples.

Such an amazing book! In fact, the entire series was mind boggling. After reading book one, I had to go back to Amazon for the remaining books! Hated to see it end.
THE PLACE WE BELONG by Megan Jacobs is a captivating, heartfelt story of deep family ties, the strong bond between sisters, love that endures, and long buried secrets that are finally brought to light. It is the final book in a sweet series filled with mystery and budding romance that is best enjoyed when read in order.
I received an advanced copy and am voluntarily giving my honest opinion.
roundup I must admit I hate cliffhangers but the author did a wonderful job keeping me hooked until the end, being curious to find out how it all unravels.
