Donnée Patrese Harris was born a hopeless romantic in Gary, Indiana with her mother, father and 8 siblings.

As very young child she would spend all of her time reading books and getting lost in her own imagination. She would often find herself "finishing" books that she read in her own words. She just couldn't bare to let the story end. It was at this point she decided she wanted to be a published writer.

Most people realized writing was in her blood. Junior high school teachers were impressed with her poetry and short stories. It was in Junior High that Donnée was exposed to her first romance novel.

By the time she arrived at West Side High School in 1998 she began to write poetry in Spanish.

Knowing she wanted to write Donnée thought she could use her creativity in a different setting. She received a B.A. in Journalism from Butler University and spent a short time as a reporter for the Post Tribune in Gary and Merrillville, Indiana.

Though reporting was very interesting, Donnée felt her creative heart was being smothered and the life of a reporter no longer appealed to her. After giving birth to her daughter she decided to focus on her writing.

Donnée is a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and is the Co-Owner and Executive Creative Director of First Draft Publishing, LLC.

Currently, Donnée is working on Diary of a Wanted Woman which is set to be completed Fall 2012 and Down and Dirty which is set to be completed Spring of 2013.

She now lives in Bakersfield, CA with her loving husband, 3 kids and cat.

***THERE ARE ZERO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW. IT IS MERELY TO GIVE THE PROSPECTIVE BUYER INSIGHT INTO THE STORYLINE AND CHARACTERS ONLY***

OH.MY.DAMN!!!!!!

I cannot get enough of this series because everybody's a messed up ho, and I freaking love it! Michael and Maxine. Maxine and Mikey. Mikey and...Can ya keep up? There are so many freaking plot twists and hot, erotic encounters that I was fanning myself on more than one occasion!

If you are new to the Prohibited series, I strongly suggest you begin with book 1, Prohibited. There you are introduced to the characters and get to know who they are and what positions they play. Maxine is our messed up heroine who always has the best of intentions, but always seems to make the wrong decisions. But so does everybody freaking else in this book which makes it so juicy! I have never been a fan of the younger woman/older man trope, but Donnee Patrese writes these characters so well, that she proves age ain't nothing but a number!

So our story picks up where book 1 leaves off with Maxine succumbing to the sexual advances of someone she has no one being with-someone who could ruin her relationship with her true love Michael who also happens to be one of her BFFs father. Maxine and Michael are truly in love and are constantly fighting to be together but there's always something-or someone getting in the way (most of the time it's themselves...) I really love them as a couple because it's so obvious they truly love one another. Michael will do any and everything for Maxine, and Maxine just wants Michael free and clear with no guilt and no shame.

There is also a strong supporting cast that makes this saga all the more entertaining. Mikey Jr. has turned out to be a real bastard and has his head so far up his own ass that he can't see the destruction he causes wherever he goes. The ending is just as explosive as the last one. Yes, it does end on a cliffhanger, but I ain't mad. I just hope we don't have to wait forever for the next installment!

Okay its Part II of this messed up story!

This is Maxine, Michael, Marie and Mikey's story it is about all 4 characters. All 4 lives are intertwined with each other.

I was really looking forward to closure on this story and now we have another cliffhanger and another book to await before we can find out if these people are going to every have a happy ending.

I am glad Maxine finally came clean to Michael about what happened between her and his son. Well Mikey's new love interest is even more messed up than when he was with Maxine. That storyline is going mess with everyone lives.

Maria is still low down and dirty. Well Stacy decided to get a little revenge of her own and messes with everyone's lives all over again. What an engrossing mess this story is!!!!

The long awaited continuation does not disappoint, good story I felt like I was watching gossip girls messy just plain messy you know horrible friends who do terrible things to people they call friends and these friends forgive them something I do not understand at all, I hope there is a third book that and final book because I want to know whether Max losses the baby or not.

Not as good as the first

Don't you hate it when authors forget details of their own characters? It's really annoying and jars the reader out of the story. That and the fact that this story couldn't be wrapped up in two books resulted in a 2 star review. I shall not be reading any more books from this series.

This sequel does not disappoint

'Prohibited 2' is just as steamy if not more so than the first. The drama these family and friends are caught up in while trying to understand love and the complex emotions surrounding both sex and marriage is delivered with a hint of mystery. I was afraid the story was going to seem fine ending here, but the final scene leaves readers with an intense need to continue delving into these characters' lives.

I loved “Prohibited”. I really did. It was soapy and crazy and I enjoyed every bit of the ride.

“Prohibited 2: Illicit Affairs” was just…. meh.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still soapy and crazy and lives up to its name. More scandalous behavior, sex and secrets. Maxine is having another affair with a married man, and Michael realizes what a mistake he made for letting Maxine go and wants to get her back.

I guess why I didn’t love this book was because of the change in Mikey. He was the only character in the first book that I really liked. In book 2 he’s just so different and so unlikeable. At the end of “Prohibited 1”, I thought things were going to go in a certain direction with Maxine, Michael, and Mikey. It didn’t happen that way, and to be honest it really disappointed me. I just didn’t like how it all turned out. :(

Book 2 ends on a cliffhanger so there’s going to be a book 3. Although Prohibited 2 didn’t engross me as much as book 1, I am committed to the series and characters and I want to know how everything turns out in the end.

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!

Really?? REALLY?? UGH I can't take this anymore!! LIKE WTF?? Like I'm so mad right now!! Okay first thing first in the first book I thought Mitchell was 15?? Now he's 13?? Then the holidays were confused. It was Christmas not thanksgiving! I can't even properly review the book without giving anything away. The book is good I can say that. I will just sit and wait.

Continuing story. The characters are even less likable than in book 1. The decision to write the story from different characters' perspective sometimes worked and sometimes it didn't. I will read the next book in the series, but the story better end at the 3rd book.

Very great follow up to part 1. Mikey Jr. was off the chain. I love Donnee's writing sytle. Prohibited 2 draws you into the universe of Maxine.
