This was another amazing psychological thriller by LG Davis. Her plot twists are unmatched. I didn’t see a single thing coming. I loved how real the characters felt. You could feel their emotions as if they were your own. The end may just leave you in tears.

LG Davis is back with yet another fast paced and twisty psychological thriller . I never even need to read the blurb as I know without a doubt it’s going to be another unputdownable
read. And this one sure did hit the mark for me . There were times I felt I was doing loops on a rollercoaster there was so much going on and the twists and turns were something else . Each character was written about so well and as for who to trust , well I won’t say too much but I gasped out loud a few times . Another superb read from start to finish with an outstanding ending. All the stars for me.

Written after an ARC from Netgalley
A 5 stars given because I didn't know how else should I appreciate this book. My heart was thumping hard at the end of the last chapter before the epilogue. “What else could happen omg.”
Thank God we are here. The book started a bit slow, as always, I think that's just how it is with ctm genre. We have THE mother here.
Firstly I tried being skeptical with everyone, yes even the mother, Judy. But, along the way, I understood that she was just being a worried mother of her beloved daughter. Few times I thought of how careless and hashty she was. Like, why couldn't you try to absorb every informations to yourself first and rethink about everything before you could tell anyone else. Come on ma'am, if I were you where everyone was against me believing that my child was alive, I wouldn't be so fast in trusting those people. But, she was who she was and did her best so... yeah. I really really appreciate that.
That particular twist made me sit up when I was lying on my back, reading. Couldn't say that the idea didn't popped in my head at all, BUT still I gasped and holyshit suddenly everything made sense. Niceeeee!
If I could summarize this book, somehow this was a manifest of a toxic yuri and dark Peter pan story. Iykyk. Something I dislike about this book maybe was the resolution for the family drama. I wished him hell more 🤢
I'd like to recommend people to read this book! Not heavy, still fun and twisty, the flow of the story is good, also the drama is interesting too! 🥹

OMG!!!! L.G. Davis totally blew my mind and shocked me to the core with her last wicked twist in Where’s My Daughter! I am still utterly speechless! Where’s My Daughter is one of the most creative outside of the box psychological she has written to date! One that is totally addicting that will keep you glued to your kindle for hours that you will lose track of time easily!
Instantly I was hooked from the first paragraph from the prologue in Where’s My Daughter! It just tugged hard on my heart strings and I just had to see how the rest played out!
This book is literally every parent's nightmare come true!!! You send your son or daughter to camp to have a great summer learning a new skill, making new friends, and having fun. You put the trust in the camp counselors and staff’s hands to keep them safe! Except when your daughter never comes home from camp. They say she drowned. Until months later you get a letter in the mail that makes you wonder if she could be ALIVE!!!
Where’s My Daughter is jam packed with deep dark hidden secrets from multiple characters in the book that become explosive when revealed!!!

Determined to bring her daughter home, she begins uncovering secrets, lies, and betrayals that force her to question everyone she trusts.
This was another entertaining psychological thriller from L.G. Davis. The mystery surrounding Sadie's disappearance immediately hooked me, and I was constantly trying to figure out who could be trusted. One of the reasons I always enjoy this author's books is that they're incredibly fast paced and packed with twists. Just when I think I have everything figured out, another surprise is thrown in and this book was no exception. There were twists throughout the story and even in the epilogue, which kept me guessing until the very end.
The emotional element of a mother desperately searching for her daughter added depth to the plot and kept me invested in the outcome. While some twists were more predictable than others, I still found this to be a suspenseful and engaging read. Overall, this was a solid thriller that delivered plenty of secrets, tension, and unexpected turns.

Gripping psychological thriller. I could not put it down. I probably read it in 2 hours. I love a book where you can come up with a million different theories and none compare to the actual reveal. I do wish however that there was more information on Judy’s childhood and history. I feel like it would have made the twist that much more powerful. Overall, great story one that I would definitely recommend.

L.G. Davis is one of my favorite authors. I have read a lot of her books and this one did not disappoint. I loved it! Such a good read from beginning to end!Definitely 5⭐️’s!!

This is the third book in two weeks that I've read about a missing child, and I was starting to think I needed to file for a trope vacation. At one point they were all beginning to blend together like flour stirred into oil—occasionally popping with excitement, but mostly just sizzling around in the same pan. I was honestly worried I'd hit my limit.
Now that my little rant is over...
L.G. Davis proved me wrong.
Where's My Daughter? somehow managed to take a familiar premise and make it feel fresh again.
The biggest difference for me was Judy.
Finally! A parent who truly felt like she would stop at absolutely nothing to find her child. Every decision she made, every risk she took, every ounce of determination she showed felt authentic. I believed her desperation. I believed her fear. Most importantly, I believed the love she had for her daughter. That emotional connection carried this story from beginning to end.
And then came that photograph.
Six months after her daughter disappears, Judy receives a photo showing her alive at a camp.
Excuse me?!
From that moment on, I was completely invested. The stakes skyrocketed, the urgency kicked into high gear, and L.G. Davis took me on a wild, emotional ride where I genuinely had no idea what was coming next. Every chapter made me want "just one more," and we all know that's the biggest lie readers tell ourselves.
What I appreciated most was that this wasn't just a mystery about a missing child. It became a story about consequences, family, resilience, and the ripple effects our choices can have across years—even when those choices weren't made with bad intentions. The way the story weaved together the past, the present, and the future gave the mystery so much more emotional weight than I expected.
The pacing stayed strong, the tension never really let up, and the emotional moments landed exactly where they needed to. By the time everything came together, I realized I hadn't been comparing this book to the other missing-child thrillers I'd just read anymore. It had carved out its own place, and that's no small feat.
So, L.G. Davis...
You somehow made me fall in love with another missing-child thriller immediately after reading two others on the exact same topic.
That deserves some serious credit.
Final Verdict
Where's My Daughter? is proof that even a well-loved thriller trope can still surprise you when it's handled with heart, strong characters, and genuine emotional stakes. Judy is the kind of mother you'll cheer for, the mystery keeps the pages turning, and the emotional depth makes this much more than just another kidnapping story.

Another absolutely captivating and addictive 5 star read from L.G Davis! I always look forward to reading her books, I know I will never be disappointed, and this one was no exception- she sure knows how to write a psychological thriller! Totally and utterly deserved 5 star rating!!
When Judy returns to her beachside holiday home, the ghosts of the past haunt her; it was the last place she saw her daughter, Sadie, alive six months earlier. Sadie was attending a prestigious youth camp near to their holiday home when she just disappeared one night. After intensive police investigation, it was determined that Sadie drowned in the ocean and Judy and her husband, Gabriel, were left to mourn their daughter, without a body or funeral. Now Judy and Gabriel are back in Saltspray Cove to try and get closure and to say goodbye to their daughter. Along with Judy’s best friend, Scarlett, who loved Sadie like a daughter, and also feels the heartbreak of her loss. However, on Judy’s return to the seaside town a photo is sent to her of Sadie at the camp with the words “she’s alive”. Gabriel refuses to acknowledge the photo and dismisses it as a sick prank but Judy is determined to investigate especially as the note with the photo also implicates Gabriel in Sadie’s disappearance, but Judy hides this piece of information from him. Will Judy find out what happened to Sadie that fateful night or will the photo come to nothing and Judy’s investigations tear her already fragile marriage apart?!
What a wild ride this book took me on! And I loved every single minute of it! I really liked Judy and loved how she went a lot of the time on emotion and instinct rather than the facts. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel similar about Gabriel, I really disliked him from the minute he appeared on the page, I felt he wasn’t giving Judy what she needed when her world had been turned upside down and I just couldn’t warm to him. I wasn’t sure how I felt about Scarlett; I went through the whole story flip flopping over whether I liked her character or not, but I will say that she did surprise me near the end of the book but that’s all I’ll say so I don’t spoil anything. I always say that I think it’s great writing when the story makes me feel a certain way about its’ characters and this was very true for this book. I did guess one bit of the story, but it was more that I am a seasoned psychological thriller reader rather than it being obvious. Apart from that one small detail I had no idea where the rest of the story was going and I loved every minute of the journey. The revelation in chapter 12 made me gasp out loud and I loved hearing the story being told from different characters. As soon as the story took the reader back in history, I was addicted even more and couldn’t stop turning the pages to see what would happen next and sped through the last portion of the book desperate and hungry for what would happen next and I wasn’t disappointed. The ultimate revelation at the end of the story absolutely floored me and I had no clue that was coming so great writing by L.G Davis!
All in all, as I said above, another 5 star read from the talented L.G Davis. I can’t wait to see what she writes next, and I will definitely be looking forward to it! Brilliant, just brilliant! I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves psychological thrillers, you won’t be disappointed.

I always say that I think it’s great writing when the story makes me feel a certain way about its’ characters and this was very true for this book. I did guess one bit of the story, but it was more that I am a seasoned psychological thriller reader rather than it being obvious. Apart from that one small detail I had no idea where the rest of the story was going and I loved every minute of the journey. The revelation in chapter 12 made me gasp out loud and I loved hearing the story being told from different characters. As soon as the story took the reader back in history, I was addicted even more and couldn’t stop turning the pages to see what would happen next and sped through the last portion of the book desperate and hungry for what would happen next and I wasn’t disappointed. The ultimate revelation at the end of the story absolutely floored me and I had no clue that was coming so great writing by L.G Davis!
All in all, as I said above, another 5 star read from the talented L.G Davis. I can’t wait to see what she writes next, and I will definitely be looking forward to it! Brilliant, just brilliant! I highly recommend this one to anyone who loves psychological thrillers, you won’t be disappointed.

I must admit when I first start reading this story I wasn't that invested but as it went I got addicted and I ended up finishing it in the middle of the night to find out how it all ended.
Let's just say that every main character has something to hide and their secrets are revealed a little long the story. Great twists and turns and when you think its over there is another twist coming. This is a great psychological thriller!
Sadie, who is 16, disappears at a camp, it is presumed she has drowned. Six months later, her mother, father, and mother's best friend, meet back at the place where she last was alive to give a little funeral/memorial service. However, when Judy arrives at their place, there is mail with a note with a photo of Sadie that says she is alive and that her husband Gabriel knows more about her disappearance than you do. That starts the ball rolling, Judy knows her daughter is alive and she sets out to find her. She starts investigating, asking questions and trying to snoop into the camp where Sadie disappeared. This camp has had other children disappear over the years. She finds out about betrayal, secrets, gaslighting, obsession, and also in the end about sacrifice for those that you love. Judy also has secrets from her past that she hasn't told her family.
Judy's mother instincts tell her that Sadie is alive and she will do anything to get her back. I was very much rooting for her. I don't want to say too much as to give spoilers of all the twists and turns, but everything connects up at the end and it was well done. Some characters you will love, and some you will hate. This was a good, old fashioned thriller without literary gimmicks. There is one narrator. The narrator is not presented as being unreliable. It does not skip around in time period and is utterly linear. Lately, many, if not most of the thrillers I have been reading, employ some "gimmick" and sometimes more than one. It is not that these gimmicks are bad or wrong; they can create interest and help to heighten suspense. However, it is refreshing to read one that does not require so much work to figure out what is going one. The events unfold in the novel in sequence rather than jumping back and forth between past and present or without going back and forth between perspectives. The plot twist comes from revealing the truth about disappearance of the daughter when she goes to sleepaway camp. The author manages to build suspense in a linear fashion, which I can appreciate.

This book was tense, emotional, and heartbreaking, and the short chapters made it incredibly easy to fly through. Right from the start, I could feel Judy's desperation to find her daughter. The author captured the emotions of a grieving mother so well, especially the renewed hope that comes with believing her child may still be alive. My heart ached for Judy when she was convinced Sadie was alive and nobody else believed her. That level of isolation must be devastating.
I was intrigued from the beginning. This wasn't a slow-burn thriller; twists started unfolding almost immediately, which kept me eager to keep reading. However, some aspects of the story felt predictable, and there were moments when I struggled to understand certain characters' decisions. As the plot began to unravel, things became quite messy and chaotic. There was a lot happening on the page, and at times it felt as though new developments were being thrown at the reader one after another.
That said, the final twist completely shocked me. It was something I never saw coming and definitely ended the book on a strong note.

Wow, wow, wow! I don't know where to begin!
If a there's a record for a book with the most amount of plot twists, I reckon this would win it. I felt it started slow and took a good 50% to get going, but after that they just did not stop. Even when you think they're done, BANG another twist!
This story is about Judy, a child psychologist who's daughter went missing six months earlier. She returns to the town her daughter went missing from to hold a funeral without a body, then she's sent a photo of her daughter - alive.
This book was perfect based on documentaries that are quite popular at the moment, based around child help camps. I've watched a lot of them, so the themes were right up my street.
Whilst there were many characters, I did not find it difficult to follow along with.
I loved how I could never predict what was going to happen - this is a book you will never ever guess the twists coming.
As incredible as this book was, I still found myself getting distracted from it easily. I do believe this was because of the slow pacing for the first half of the book. I am glad I read until the end and really look forward to reading more by this author in the future!

LG lulled me into a false sense of security. I thought I had it all worked out (at one point I even called the book predictable), but then she swiftly pulled the rug from under my feet.

This is my second read by this author and once again this was slow burn thriller that was packed with twists and turns.
This took me a little while to get into, but having seen this with my last read, I knew that the tension would build and by the middle of the book, I was hooked and racing through.
When Judy receives a note in the post stating that her daughter - who died whilst swimming at a summer camp - was actually alive, I was constantly intrigued.
I can't imagine how stressful this must have been for Judy!
Losing you daughter and being in that period of grieving, only to be given this information.
I'm not sure I'd have believed it.
There were a fair few characters in loved along the way and this definitely gave us lots of suspects and lots to think about.
I made a out a hundred different theories throughout, only to find everything change suddenly as the twists start coming.
I really liked the multiple pov format which allowed us to really delve around in different minds and to tlview things from the different angles - but I couldn't help feeling so sorry for Judy and knowing that I'd be the same way, trusting a mother's instinct - rather than the way Gabriel behaved, which wasn't much support for Judy.
This was another good read despite guessing some of the details, but the atmosphere really immersed me and had me hooked the for second half of the book.

I was intrigued by this book straight away. In the early chapters we learn about Judy, whose daughter has been missing for 6 months, but no body was ever found.
Now, somebody is sending her messages that suggest she is alive and that also urge Judy to think about who she trusts!
The seaside town provided a really evocative setting for the story and allowed the author to show her fantastic descriptive writing style and talent for bringing locations to life.
I had this down as quite a slow burn without loads of crazy twists. At around 70% I was thinking it was a solid read with really good quality writing. But then...
The author really stepped it up to another level and the twists kept twisting right up until the end. Some of them were guessable, but only just before they were properly revealed. Others came absolutely out of nowhere and had my head spinning.
Another element I really liked was the little call backs to things that happened earlier on and, while they didn't seem significant at the time, they ended up making perfect sense once everything had shaken out.
This is my second read by L.G. Davis. I'll be right back - just going to binge her whole back catalogue.

Few things pull me in faster than a missing child storyline, and this one had me invested right from the start. L.G. Davis has such an accessible writing style that it’s easy to become completely immersed in her stories.
I’ve read several of her books now (The Widow’s Cabin, The New Nanny, and Not His Wife), and this story quickly reminded me why I keep coming back to her books. She continues to be one of my favorite domestic psychological thriller authors. I especially enjoyed the past and present timelines along with the multiple perspectives, which kept the suspense building and had me questioning who could be trusted. Although there were a couple twists that I spotted early, I was thoroughly entertained from beginning to end and always eager to pick the book back up.

Everyone around her wants her to believe she is no longer alive but her instincts tell her she is and there's something she's missing. This sets of a string of events that at times seemed over the top but still entertaining to read. I felt certain elements of the story although dripping were very predictable and I struggled to believe certain feelings that were displayed by certain characters. That being said the overall feelings of a mother's love for a child and the Eerie feeling of a apparent safe heaven that turns out to be a living nightmare we're there. The plot twist right at the end was definitely a shock and a saving grace for this book in my opinion. I think someone who is new to thrillers or gets sucked into a book without over thinking every element will love this story but for me it didn't keep me up at night guessing or shell shocked

The idea that someone close might be hiding the truth gives the plot a steady, unsettling pulse. It’s a solid, engaging read with enough twists to hold my attention from start to finish.

One summer when I was younger, I really wanted to go to summer camp. My mom told me that parents sent their kids away to summer camp because they were bad. After reading this book, I’m glad she never let me go.

One summer when I was younger, I really wanted to go to summer camp. My mom told me that parents sent their kids away to summer camp because they were bad. After reading this book, I’m glad she never let me go.

What a ride! This book kept me guessing from start to finish with twist after twist that I never saw coming. Just when I thought I had everything figured out, the story took another unexpected turn.
The suspense was gripping, the pacing was excellent, and the characters kept me fully invested in the outcome. And then came the epilogue—absolutely mind-blowing. It added an entirely new layer to the story and left me thinking about it long after I turned the final page.
If you enjoy fast-paced psychological thrillers full of surprises, this is one you won’t want to miss. I can’t wait to read more from this author. Highly recommended! 📚⭐

An absolutely brilliant read! L. G. Davis delivers every single time!
Six months after their daughter, Sadie, disappeared from a holiday camp, presumed drowned in the sea, Judy and Gabriel return to their holiday home in Florida to say their goodbyes to her and try to move forward.
When Judy receives a photo of Sadie and a note, she knows she is still alive and resolves to find her. But someone doesn’t want Sadie found and will stop at nothing to keep Judy away.
I was completely immersed in the brilliant plot with well written and believable characters. The pace was fast and when the twists started to drop, they just kept on coming.

The blurb of this book really caught my attention. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the actual book fell short of my expectations.
Yes, it was twisty, yes, it was suspenseful, but the book just didn't feel believable. I had to keep reminding myself it was fictional.
There were many loose ends I picked up, and some of them were revealed in the end of the book. (Spoiler alert), like the police officer who was found to be corrupt. That there was so little investigation in the disappearances, and practically nothing in the news, just unbelievable.
I don't want to ruin this for anyone, these are my opinions. I am sure there are those that will be gripped and glued to the pages.

However, the book itself was disappointing. The first half was very slow. Second half picked up a bit but there were so many errors and it was very disjointed. A big twist I did not see coming made it better but not by much. The story of Sadie who goes missing at Saltspray Camp. Her disappearance is never explained properly and nor was Judy's or Megans backstory. Scarlett said her baby died at 2 days old but also that she died age 2 years. I thought they lived in LA but it said Scarlett taught at Saltspray High. There were other errors which made it hard to follow. Sorry but not for me.
