As a former competitive figure skater, S.C. Kate grew up in rinks and loves them as settings for her contemporary sports romance stories. She lives in metro-Detroit and still frequents arenas to cheer on her siblings during hockey games.
When not writing, she is obsessed with outdoor skating, iced coffee, and traveling around Northern Michigan.
We finally get JP and Allie’s story, and it was worth the wait. I loved the way Hans orchestrated his final love story—it was such a meaningful touch and brought everything full circle.
One thing I really appreciated was that there wasn’t some drawn-out miscommunication after JP showed up on the ship. Too often that trope drags on, but here it was handled well. And then he broke her hurt with miscommunication 🙃
This was a really enjoyable romance, but Kappy is still my number one.
I really like the Centre Ice series. This is book three, and I’m excited to see if more are coming. If you enjoy this genre, check out book one—My Best Bet!!
I swore up and down that My Best Bet was the best book SC Kate could write, but here we are! Ali and JP are such a sweet pair, and I am so glad our last boy got everything he could ever want. I love an accidental pregnancy trope; my only wish is our sweet Hans would have been able to see how his master puppeteering got all of his Center Ice kiddos their happily ever after.
