“Aligned with Intelligence” challenges readers to examine the clarity, culture, accountability and judgement needed in organizations as artificial intelligence becomes embedded within them. This read is less about technology and more about the alignment needed to succeed, because as organizations successfully embrace the abundance of intelligence AI can offer, the true advantage remains housed in the wisdom we allow to prevail.
Broken into four parts, author Jeff Arnold walks readers through governance, culture, accountability and speed versus judgement. Beginning with governance, Arnold first breaks down the understanding of technology. The need to ask why before dependency roots itself. Driven by curiosity, governance must scale discipline before technology can be used to scale decisions.
Next, “Aligned with Intelligence” looks at culture. Appreciating that leadership must define objectives first before AI exposes the undefined. Offering a well-rounded view of AI and its role within an organization, this fast paced and rapidly growing technology is examined and reflected upon from all angles as Arnold dives in. Employees in every organization are watching, how you utilize and rely on AI will set the tone. Creating an intentional culture only occurs when we define how we intend to interact and align with AI.
Accountability is the third facet of this read. Hammering home the increased need for accountability. Meaning we must not surrender to results when the presence of AI and automation are increased. Organizations shall endeavor to remain clear on the inputs, outputs, and the algorithm that goes into AI, because otherwise, without clarity and accountability of these aspects, we’ve failed.
