Well I've listed this as a cookbook but it's a lot more than that. It's written by a guy who dieted but was hungry and lost weight and then didn't.... He began to look into eating superfoods which mostly consist of vegetables, legumes and a variety of other foodstuffs, some meat allowed, and found he was losing weight. He was no longer eating heavily processed food and that was making the difference.
The book does contain a lot of interesting recipes although some of the ingredients are unknown to me, he also explains how to get the most out of exercising without hitting the gym, how to detox and a shedload of other ideas. In fact the recipes don't make up most of the book, his take on healthy living and lots of other related information does.
I have this on my kindle and I am going to keep it. The only thing which puzzled me was why he had written his philosophy last which is the biggest part of the book and the recipes at the front, it would have been better to have done it the other way round and then it would have flowed easier.
If you don't want the doomsday health information about how food you're eating is killing you slowly while making you miserable, skip the text and enjoy the recipes, each of which has a lovely photo.

This book is written ok, I always think it is hilarious when a man writes a diet book for women?? OK first set back, second was there are not many foods on the list that I CAN eat due to one medication, affliction , or allergy. I get beans, pretty much every diet, beans are my go to and a power food. Nuts...I can't do nuts. No bang on the author, but I will stick with WW.
far better book than I expected. No nonsense just information. doesn't bog you down with scientific studies that I wouldn't remember anyway. Just good information. excellent beginner book and also a good reminder of information to anyone.
Deli meat is listed in the master list of superfoods and there benefits...as long as you stick with low sodium variety and ones preferably with less sugar. Hahahahaha, what a joke! Add to that the inconsistent recipe writing...don't waste your time.
