It’s been two years since I became the happiest woman in the world. I thought marrying the man of my dreams would be enough. I thought I would be enough.
I never imagined love would come with demands I’m unprepared to meet. Or that being queen would mean choosing between my country and the man I love. Again.
So yes, I’m keeping a secret from my husband. Some might call it lying. Others might call it betrayal. I call it necessary.
What I can’t forgive is the way she has wedged herself into our lives with her secrets and her lies, claiming she belongs here. She looks at him as if he’s already hers. As if my marriage, my family, and my country are pieces on her board.
They’re not.
Because I will do whatever it takes to protect what’s mine. My husband. My crown. My country. And if she thinks she can bring this family—or this kingdom—to its knees, she’s made one fatal mistake.
She’s underestimated her queen.

Contemporary romance booksModern royaltyMarriage in troubleOther woman drama (no cheating)Morally gray characters and darker themesSlow burnSecond chance romance Crowns We Save is the final book in a trilogy. The first two books should be read first for best reading experience. Start with Thrones We Steal. This story may not be suitable for everyone. Please see sample for TWs.
Jessica Jude writes emotionally-charged kissing (among other things) books about royals and the elite. Her aim in all of her stories is to make you fall in love with the characters and use up box after box of tissues. Her characters are strong and independent, who make plenty of morally gray decisions. She likes her women fierce and her men possessive.
Her favorite scenes to write are arguments. She's been known to stir up drama in her own life when she gets bored, and her family is glad she has an outlet for her occasional Blair-Waldorfism. She lives in a big old house in the midwestern United States with her high-school sweetheart. She has dreamed of being an author since she was six and wrote her first book about a girl named Mary who got lost in the woods. Mary was eventually found, but sadly, the book was never published. Jessica is a homebody who loves to travel, a coffee candle junkie who doesn't drink coffee, and a very-loud-at-home introvert.
Gotta admit, I was not a fan of Celia for 90% of this book! The woman made some absolutely questionable decisions that had me wanting to smack her upside the head, multiple times. I told Jessica as much too 🤣
All that aside, the glimpse into married life and how easily it is to drift apart after the honey moon phase, when your ability to communicate and courage to face your problems head on become secondary to your job is a stark reality for so many marriages. Celia and Henry proved once again why they were end game all along, despite the challenges they faced they still, in the end, chose to continue to choose each other above everyone and everything.
I don’t think I could envision a better ending for this trilogy. Now excuse me while I go colour in my blanket fort and emotionally recover from the roller coaster I was just dragged on
What an emotional roller coaster ending to an absolutely amazing series!
This book might even be my favorite in the entire series. It was emotional, tear jerking, and heartbreaking. I felt every emotion Celia was feeling. The writing was done so beautifully that I truly felt the pain she was feeling, trying to do everything she thought was right. Seeing her grow as the queen and in her marriage was the best ending I could’ve asked for.
I’m not ready to say goodbye to Celia and Henry!!!
This book was a whirlwind of me questioning my love for both of them; it was written like such a real relationship, and I love Jessica for that. The two of them faced so much pressure on top of their marriage. They proved that they really are endgame.
I enjoyed seeing Celia grow, albeit slowly, but it worked for the story. I am also proud of Henry for standing up for himself and setting boundaries that helped push Celia in the right direction. The tension was similar to the second book but felt more desperate at times, and raw. When the two of them came together it was lighting.
I also think it’d be really cool to read about Bea! I felt for her during this book so much and think she’s hilarious and it would be a great story.
I was looking forward to reading the final instalment of Celia and Henry’s story and what a story it was. I did find myself increasingly frustrated with Celia and the way she was acting but, whilst slow, she did grow and learn eventually. I think this version of Henry was my absolute favourite and it’s almost like their personalities were switched in this book!
In every book in the series Jessica manages to weave a story that breaks my heart and left me wanting more! I’m sad it’s over!

I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Henry and Celia with this trilogy! My gosh, they are so relatable and real and so easy to love. This book was the most difficult for me but that is solely related to my life experiences. Marriage is deeply personal and anyone who cannot relate to any of the challenges that Henry and Celia faced in this book, then I am happy for you. The reality for most people is that they do relate however. This book was a beautiful story of two very human souls who are trying to navigate their way through life and love. It isn’t always easy; and it was actually refreshing to read a book that portrays that. Will you get frustrated with one or both of these MCs? Yes…I’m certain you will. But that is real. And the hard fought-for ending is so worth all of the work to get there. You know what, you can say the same for real life. Sometimes your own HEA is hard fought for and just because your story is messy, it doesn’t mean it’s not beautiful. Anyways, I really loved this trilogy and I hope you will too! Henry is chef’s kiss here. His show of control and possessiveness is honestly so good. There is open door descriptive spice in this book, I would rate it 4/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️. Thank you to the author for the eARC. Amazing out of context quotes:
“Controlling others is what weak people think power looks like.”
“It always turns out more beautiful when we let them go.”
How is it possible for love and hate to live together in the same space?
“The fact that you loved me in spite of everything . . .” His voice cuts through my fantasy of our warm bed. “That’s what gave me faith that I could be different. Rise above all of that.”
He is home to me, and life, and certainty, and everything good in the world. He is the sun and the moon and every twinkling star. He is every beat of my heart, all the oxygen in the room, and every surge of blood in my veins.
“Because I need you to understand that you can’t control me.”
“The best thing you can do for your relationship is to let the other person be. You can’t force them to become someone they’re not. You can’t make them do things they don’t want to. You can only make those decisions for yourself.”
Two years after she married the love of her life, Celia should be on top of the world, but the reality of running a kingdom has made things easier said than done. Struggling between her dual roles as monarch and wife, mean that public perception is at the forefront of every decision - including the ones she should be making with her husband. Now Celia is keeping a big secret from Henry, and when someone from his past comes into their life, threatening everything she’s already clinging to with dear life, she worries that their love won’t be enough to keep him.
I received an early copy of this book from the author and I absolutely loved. Of course I should have known that in a 3 book series, the HEA at the end of book 2 couldn’t last, but boy was I not ready for the anxiety filled ride that I experienced with this one. This book was hard to read, in many ways because Celia seemed so far off from the woman we got to know in the previous ones, but in a way, it made sense. Her obsession with public perception seemed to be an extension of the insecurities and feelings of not being enough that we saw previously in the series, but the decisions that she made based on those insecurities were the ones that cost her the most.
On one hand, Celia’s obsession with controlling everything was putting unrealistic pressures on her marriage, and leading her to seek comfort in and consult with everyone but her husband, but on the other hand Henry knew more about ruling a kingdom than she did going into it, and yet complained about her work constantly. While she should have been honest with him from the beginning about how she saw their future unfolding, he also had to understand her reaction to the news that blindsided them both, and while I understood him wanting to go all in with Axel, doing so with no consideration of his wife and then criticizing her reaction was cruel. I spent a large portion of this book wtih my heart racing, waiting to see how things would play out, especially as I was getting close to the end and wondering how things would be able to resolve with so few pages remaining, but the author managed to knock it out of the park, making this a new favourite series.
Crowns We Save is the final book in the Thrones We Steal series, and it was easily the one that hurt my romantic heart the most.
After the ending of Book Two, I thought I was heading into a fairytale. Instead, this story completely shattered me.
As C and H settle into married life and the realities of ruling together, cracks begin to form under the pressure of expectations, responsibility, public image, and their own hopes for the future. Their love is still deeply present, but competing wants and unresolved pain begin colliding in ways I was not emotionally prepared for.
I thought the first two books were emotional, but this one had me sobbing through so much of it.
I genuinely was not prepared for some of the choices Henry made, or the emotional fallout that followed. While there is a miscommunication trope woven through the story, underneath it is a deep and consuming love between two people who care so intensely for each other that emotion starts clouding their ability to truly hear one another.
The side plots also had their own emotional weight to them which only added to the whole story. I don't think I could have handled much more. But, all I can say is we all need Davies looking out for us!
The twist I had been hoping for absolutely delivered, but even that came with heartbreak attached to it. This book held my heart in its hands the entire time and kept breaking it apart piece by piece.
What I appreciated most was the way everything ultimately came back together. I was still crying, but there was also relief, hope, and a sense of emotional closure that made the journey feel worth it.
Thank you, Jessica Jude, for this unforgettable series. I have not cried this much over a romance series in a long time. C and H’s connection felt so powerful and consuming that it completely leapt off the page and lodged itself in my heart.
I received this book as an ARC, however, this review reflects my honest thoughts and feelings shared voluntarily.
ARC review. This book made me so angry! I didn’t care for Celia at all in this book. While I can understand why she made some of the choices she did, it was difficult to read them. I’ve never had so much trouble getting through the pages of a book, but I couldn’t stop reading until I knew things had worked out.
The married life in this was completely realistic. It can be easy to drift from your partner in any relationship, but one with as much outside pressure could easily succumb. The emotional roller coaster of finding out Henry had a secret child, to the realization that it was actually his sibling was wild. I do not like Henry at that point in the book, but not because of the child. For someone who professes to love his wife the way he does, his lack of understanding towards her feelings was shocking. Celia’s actions were despicable, so it was hard to care how she felt.
Getting to see some of Celia’s softer side in relation to her sister was nice. Once she realized her sister needed help, Celia didn’t let anything stand in the way of being there for her.
I loved this book, and the ending. It made me feel so many things I hated, but I felt such an emotional tie to the characters. I would love to see one more story of Henry and Celia, though, where Celia is a more sympathetic character and the not the cause of 99% of her problem.

“You are not only my wife, but the love of my life. I don’t take a single breath without being aware of my need for you. I’d say I’ll tell you the second that changes, but I suspect I’ll be dead.”
Oh my heart. So I asked myself at the end of book 2 so what now? Where will this one lead us? Welp. I wasn't prepared. Talk about testing the marriage. Questions like how did we get here? How did this happen?! It's so easy to drift apart in your marriage and this showcases just how truly easy everything slips away from you.
When the honeymoon phase of the marriage is over and you're enduring other trials that test everything. This one really really made me emotional and totally tugged at the heart.. There were times I was annoyed with both characters but then I thought well how would I react?! Esp at that age. Heck, even now 😂 this one is probably the messiest out of the three. It's full of jealousy, uncertainty, and secrets. More importantly, it's full of forgiveness.
Doing what you think is right and in turn hurting the other person... I feel both of these characters grew so much throughout this one. I loved loved the ending 🖤 this is the perfect conclusion to the series and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing.
✔️Royal romance

Thank you to Jessica Jude for a copy of this book! Spoilers ahead! Crowns We Save takes readers on an emotional roller coaster as Celia and Henry navigate the complicated realities of marriage, trust, and communication. The story explores what can happen when two people deeply love each other but struggle to express what they truly need from one another.
Celia’s need to control every aspect of her life — including her husband — creates tension as Henry faces unexpected changes and begins to feel the distance growing between them. Between the appearance of a mysterious love child rumored to be Henry’s and an employee of Celia’s pushing boundaries, the pressure on their relationship feels constant and emotionally charged.
Jessica Jude does a great job creating drama that keeps the pages turning, and I was fully invested in seeing whether Celia and Henry could find their way back to each other. The emotional conflicts felt realistic, and the story tackled difficult relationship dynamics in a way that kept me engaged from start to finish. While the ending wrapped things up with a satisfying HEA, it did feel slightly rushed compared to the slower build of the rest of the book. Overall, this was a dramatic and emotional read that fans of relationship-focused romance will likely enjoy.

For some reason this book bothered me. I do like the premise but I feel it wasn't great executed. The chacters, especially Celia just pissed me off. I don't understand for some one who is married not to TALK to your husband about how you feel. Why is that so hard? I am sure Henry would understand but the whole plot was just... why did it happen to be about this subject?
The whole other plot about Henry being potential father to Axel wasn't great either. I don't know. The whole book was just a little bit messy for me.
Also, that Bea storyline. I get that royals probably have other expectations but I felt them very old fashioned as well. So why couldn't she be pregnant without getting married, now that didn't happen but it was so much unnecessary drama that could've been solved BY TALKING TO THE FATHER! And what was the point about her pregnancy when it ended in a miscarriage?
For some reason this book didn't work for me. I was provided an arc by the author and my opinions are my own.

I’m not sure I’ve ever wanted to reach through pages and shake a character by the shoulders as vehemently as I wanted to with Celia. What the HELL ARE YOU THINKING kind of anger that results in the need to fling my kindle across the room. Like, I was actually enraged and had to put the book down at multiple points.
With that being said, I’m both impressed that I was able to feel that for a character, and also impressed that Jessica was able to illustrate Celia’s growth in slow but steady increments. While the plot felt a little rushed in moments, and I was still left wanting in others (ex: I don’t think we ever really get an an actual attempt to work through the intense insecurities of both Henry and Celia outside of just banging out), I was absolutely satisfied with the events and conclusion of this series and will miss Henry and Celia dearly!
Thank you, Jessica Jude for this book! Crowns we Save is the conclusion of the trilogy, and we somehow get closure on Celia and Henry 's relationship, right? Well, not really. Celia is soooo insecure, even if she is very capable to rule the country! One just feels like shaking some sense into her! She is so scarred and insecure that when a rather big secret comes to light,it almost shatters her marriage. The rule of the kingdom comes before her own life, before her family's happines, before everything, and that might be her undoing. I was so happy in the end! I would really like to read more about Beatrice, she seems a rather interesting character, with all her flair and flaws, a typical Jessica Jude character: redeemable.
I have received this book as ARC from the author and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
👑 Royals ✌️ Second chance romance 🔥 Slow burn 🎢 Emotional rollercoaster 😬 Family drama
I loved book 1, but book 2 and 3 just didn't hit for me. The miscommunication trope was a central theme in this book and I wanted to smack some sense into multiple characters 😤 There was plenty of drama to go around too, but some of it felt very self inflicted and wasn't my jam.
Henry didn't bother me as much in Crowns We Save as he did in previous books so yay for that! Sadly, Celia took his place in my hot seat. A lot of her actions throughout the book seemed questionable and out of character (and maybe that was the point, but I still didn't care for her behavior). Their relationship continued to be a rollercoaster and I got tired of them running hot and cold. Ultimately, the book was fine, just not for me.
I'm not sure if I will ever fully recover from the emotional rollercoaster this series had me on. I was having heart palpitations at certain points in this story 😱 the fear I felt that Henry and Celia wouldn't make it was so real it was scary
Jessica's story telling skills will wreck you in the best way possible and just when you think it won't happen... she fixes all the pain and gives you the perfect ending 🥰
I now have the worst book hangover ever and am I going to recommend you read this series? Oh hell yes!! Grab all 3 books immediately, a giant box of tissues, snacks, drinks and an emotional support blanket and enjoy!!
Thank you Jessica Jude for once again allowing me the honor of ARC reading your incredible books 💕
Book 3 and the last book 📖 in this amazing series 😢 In this book 📖 we get to follow Celia and Henry 2 years in in there marriage 🥰 You may think that everything is roses 🌹 and sunshine 🌞 But everything is not what it seems and the big question is if they will make it through as a couple or if it will break them 💔
The last book 📖 and I'm a little sad that this series is over 😢 It has been an emotional roller coaster 🎢 Whit some frustrating feelings forwards Celia and Henry 😉 and me screaming "FOR CRYING OUT LOUD" 😫 (it's the internet friendly wording, may have been some bad language) 😉🤬 But at the end I was happy and absolutely loved them 🥰
This book is also easy to read 📚 and to follow along in the story 🧡 It has love, banter and intrigues. But also some disbelief, there you as a reader start to question if there will be a happy ending 🥺 But the emotional roller coaster 🎢 is worth it 🧡
So if you like
👑 Royal Romance 🧡 Marriage in Trouble 👑 Political Intrigue 🧡 Other Woman Drama (no cheating) 👑 Possessive Hero 🧡 Slow Burn 👑 First Person POV
Than this book is for you and I highly recommend that you read it 🧡👑

The third book in the Thrones we Steal series was by far the most difficult to get through emotionally. I had to set it aside more than once to give me a reprieve from my emotions. All the banter and angst were present but the rawness of these types of situations in real life really hit home. I was so grateful Celia was able to repair broken relationships through the darkest of time but Henry only redeemed himself in the final moment and seeing both of them finally becoming who they were meant to be led finally to some tears of joy.
And the bonus chapter thrown into the end was just as amazing.

Once again, Jessica Jude is incredible for sharing her worlds and I thank you for letting me read this early!
To be honest, I was super apprehensive of this. You gave me a happy ending in book 2… why we gotta have a book 3?!
It’s a good book! Celia…. Idk man. Celia struggles a LOT with trust. It really makes it hard to agree with her at some point. I thought we were gonna lose it again, and honestly while I get what she’s struggling with I wouldn’t have blamed Henry. Sometimes, love isn’t enough you have to choose them too.
But- without super spoilers, this book wraps up beautifully, and it is exactly the kind of ending you need!
This was the perfect ending to Henry’s and Celia’s story. You could feel the pain, the blockages with the relationship and the miscommunication between the two. There were plenty of times I felt so gutted for both characters. But the ending was chefs kiss 😚
Favorite quote: Like he senses my desperation, he releases my hands and slides his mouth down. Down my neck, down my chest, down my stomach, settling on the crease of my thighs as he crouches in front of me. I silently beg him to meet my gaze. He finally looks up, the words he hasn’t spoken clear in his eyes. This is sorry.
ARC Review Great conclusion to the series. Celia really frustrated me more in this book than in the others - just talk to Henry already! But that frustration made her growth feel even more satisfying. I really enjoyed watching her character develop and finally realise she doesn’t have to keep repeating the same patterns. A strong ending to the series and a satisfying close to her journey. Be sure to sign up to Jessica’s mailing list for a bonus chapter from Henry’s POV. Thanks Jessica Jude for the ARC opportunity.
Crowns We Save is the third book in the series. Celia is focusing on the image of the royal family and trying to prevent scandals instead of her family. I'm happy that Celia and Henry were able to work out their differences and communicate with each other. I really loved her sister, Bea, in this book and was so heartbroken for her. I really hope she gets her happily ever after. I recommend this series for readers who like the princess diaries and royal family dramas. I received an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5/5 ⭐️ I loved this book like I have every single one of Jessica's This book had me in a chokehold with so many twists and turns was also slightly predictable, in a good way. My only gripe with it is that Celia was a raging witch for the entire thing, and granted that is what made basically the entire plot, but being Queen really went to Celia's head and she became obnoxious. I understand her viewpoint about children and such, but still. The ending made up for it all but I really wish there had been more for the resolution.
Oh, the twist at the end. Won't lie I was ready to smack Henry. " I did it to protect you" line gets old as hell. I get why but it's the line repetitive that makes you want to smack him. Honestly, I loved this book. Jumping into the next because I can't wait. I am more into dark romance but I can also relate to emotions in Jesseca Jude's books. Trusting someone after having them rip your heart out is one. The strength Celia has is empowering. Also her will to overcome and grow.
This book! For the first half of the book, I wanted to smack both Celia and Henry upside the head. They both were being crazy in their head and feelings about everything that was going on. I thought they had made so much progress in their relationship in book two. I really did like the ending though. After everything they went through, they fought through it and I loved it. Great series and I love everything by Jessica that I’ve read!
Omg this book had my emotions all over the place and had me just wanting to talk to someone about it. It made me upset/annoyed at some characters because of their actions. I was in shock with some of the stuff you find out through out the book, so many omg moments. There was some slow parts but all the emotions and everything that happens it’s so worth it. So much happens so many lies so many half truths, heartbreak. Really liked the way it ended. Can’t wait to read the bonus chapter.
I can’t say enough amazing and awesome things about this series .This was a wonderful 3rd book but I just can’t get enough so I’m hoping for a 4th one. I truly love this series. It’s true raw emotion and effortless and flawless true and real. It will make you happy and sad and angry. You can get lost in it and the imagination and creative mind of Jessica will make you crave more.
I wanted to love this book, but if miscommunication was a story, it’s this one. Positives are that the MMC was much more likable than in the previous two books. Yeah for character arcs! Unfortunately the FMC seems to have lost all her marbles and it was her I wanted to throw off a cliff. Again, the writing is great! I found myself angry at this ending of not only the book, but the series.
Celia started driving me a bit crazy in this book, I ended up wanted to yell at her for some of the decisions she was making, but instead I just kept reading. I was intrigued by looking into a marriage that wasn’t all perfect even when the main characters seemed to have everything going for them. This book was another emotional rollercoaster, and I was thrilled with the way the trilogy ended.
The first two books I wanted to slap Henry upside his head, then in this one I was wanting to slap Celia upside her head. I don’t think I’ve ever been so annoyed with a main character ever with her secrets and insecurities but I still loved the book as a whole, I loved this trilogy and every surprise it held inside. I loved being able to be apart of Henry & Celia’s love story as crazy as it was.
I absolutely ate this series up and loved every minute. This book throws a hearty wrench into our couples lives and you will not want to stop reading. I very slightly saw one of the twists coming, but that didn’t bother me any. Can’t wait for more from this author.
