Roman’s darkness consumes me; it's thrilling, terrifying, and irresistible. I thought I could stand my ground, but he proves every day that loving him means surrendering completely. To him. To our future. To everything I once feared and now crave.
Before you If steamy novellas (22k words) with minimal plot (close to zero) and missing context aren’t your thing, start with Healer (Book 1). This story is for readers craving more Ashly and Roman—and a little extra closure. Book 1 still stands alone, and Book 3 will too. The male lead from Book 3 only pops in briefly here.
Overall a good read, Amazon didn’t tell me this was book 2, and it wasn’t listed on the title either so I blame them for my lack of context. However, TRIGGER WARNING definitely look them all up before indulging in this series. It’s a dark romance, definitely read book 1 before this. Overall, the storyline was good, the limits were pushed a little far for my liking compared to my normal reads. Writing itself was great, talented author, and good depiction of character development.
