HACKER: - LAZARUS
HACKER – LAZARUS
The past cannot be deleted with a keystroke. It can only be survived.
Alex thought the worst was behind him. Disconnected from the grid and hidden from the world in the shadows of anonymous bars, he tried to drown the memories of his dead brother and his own fractured psyche. He wanted peace, but in a world where information means absolute power, there is no place to truly disappear.
When his former partner Mia suddenly resurfaces alongside a dangerous mercenary named Max, Alex’s quiet life comes to a violent end. The offer is one last hack. The goal is to rescue Raven—a legendary hacker and Alex’s old friend—who has fallen into the hands of the all-powerful Syndicate and its invisible leader, known only as the Puppeteer.
What begins as a desperate rescue mission quickly spirals into a bloody fight for survival. Alex soon discovers he’s been pulled into a game where the stakes are far higher than just data. Mia has been keeping a secret for years that changes everything—they have a son together.
A gritty, emotional, and mature cyber-thriller about burnout, morally gray dilemmas, and the realization that sometimes you have to tear the world down to save your own family.

Finished HACKER LAZARUS last night and honestly didn’t expect it to get this emotional. I came for the hacker storyline, stayed for Alex. The guy feels broken in a believable way, not like some superhero genius. The atmosphere throughout the book feels heavy and tense in a good way.

HACKER LAZARUS feels like the kind of story written by someone who actually understands burnout and isolation. Under the hacking and violence there’s a pretty sad story about people trying to survive their own past.

I liked that HACKER LAZARUS wasn’t only about hacking. Underneath everything, it’s really about grief, regret, and trying to protect the people you love after making mistakes. The family twist genuinely caught me off guard.

Alex in HACKER LAZARUS feels exhausted in a very human way. That’s probably what made the story work for me. He’s smart, but mentally he’s barely holding himself together, and that made the danger feel real.

HACKER LAZARUS feels darker and more mature than many cyber-thrillers I’ve read recently.

HACKER LAZARUS kept my attention because the characters all seem emotionally tired in a realistic way. Alex especially feels very human.

One thing I liked about HACKER LAZARUS is that it doesn’t rush the emotional moments. The story gives the characters space to feel broken.

I liked the mix of emotional damage, underground hacking culture, and action in HACKER LAZARUS.

There were several moments where I genuinely cared about what would happen to the characters,
I think readers who enjoy emotional thrillers or darker stories would enjoy this a lot.
