I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! I cried again lmfao that’s so rare for a manga to make me cry?! Especially with rereading the prev volumes before this final volume!!!
Ohh my goodness. I love their story so much, i wish it was indeed longer but i guess we were lucky enough to get this 3rd volume anyway! There’s one thing that sorta was niggling in the back of my mind tho,… does Ryota ever tell his father? Is this something that i’ve missed?? I feel like i might be getting mixed up with another manga 🤔
ALSO I RPT!!WE ARE GETTING A JURI AND KOU SPINOFFFF OHHH MY GOD I LOVE JURI!! HE’S SO FUCKING CUTE!!! I love size differences oh my GOD im gnashing !! POUR JURI IN MY VEINS!!!!
I was hoping for a bit more substance in this volume, but we barely even got to see either of them at work. The storyline was pretty much just: how does a relationship handle the adjustment period when you go from being students to entering the working world? Which, for their relationship, mostly just meant they have sex less often? Yet it still took up about half of the book.
Ryota's six months in his real estate job, and he's struggling with the customer service part of it, since showing listings means he has to actually interact with the people who are looking for housing. Do we get to actually see a single instance of this? No! In fact, we only see him talking with one of his coworkers, an older straight married guy who gives him advice about both work and relationships, since he's had his fair share of fights with his wife.
Aoi gets jealous of this guy because Ryota mentions him by name, but not once does he actually ask any questions about Ryota's job, his coworkers, any of it. He doesn't even listen when Ryota is trying to tell him that his coworker is selling them his used car so they can go on more trips together as a couple. If he'd ever bothered to pay attention to what Ryota was saying, he would've known from the start that this guy was just a dude making Ryota's job a little bit easier, and not any sort of remote threat to their relationship. (It's silly for Aoi to be jealous anyway because Ryota is literally obsessed with him.)
That part of the drama is pretty minimal, just thrown in for bonus points because you've always got to have weird love triangles even three volumes into an established relationship. (I was being too optimistic that all the jealousy storylines had closed out in Volume 2 - Ryota is still feeling iffy about their neighbor dude, too, although he handles it a lot better than Aoi.)
Mainly, Aoi is struggling because working two different types of jobs - an office job and a retail one with rotating shifts - means they don't see each other as often as before. Even though they live together, Aoi works nights sometimes and Ryota is completely drained from a pretty tiring job he's still getting used to. Aoi says he doesn't bring it up to Ryota because he's being selfless and knows that Ryota would always choose him over anything else, and he doesn't want to get in the way of his career, etc.
To Aoi's credit, he does acknowledge later that it wasn't really any of that...he was just feeling sad about seeing Ryota less often and getting less of his focused attention. Which is honestly such a stupid thing to fight about, but I guess that happens in relationships, because people and emotions aren't logical.
What annoyed me was that Aoi left their apartment for what I think was 2 weeks? When he was at his parents' house he said "it's been 2 weeks since that argument," but Ryota also noticed an open drawer (with their missing wedding license) and I feel like he wouldn't have walked past that for two weeks without seeing it before. So was it only a day, and they just hadn't spoken much for the weeks prior? That was pretty unclear.
Point is, Aoi got in a huff and ran off to "clear his head" without actually talking to his boyfriend about anything, again. While they made up and promised to be more open with each other in the future, it was a kind of frustrating storyline when there was so much else that could've been explored. And is Aoi just going to work in a clothing shop forever? What are his other dreams?
There's going to be a spinoff about the neighbor couple, and I honestly don't know if I'll want to read them. I'm...not that interested in them. The dynamic gets kind of weird when they're in the picture, and honestly if I was Ryota I'd be more concerned about how much Juri tries to pry sex stories out of Aoi.
This third and final volume was a lot more sex than necessary. And their fight didn’t make a lot of sense. They needed some more buildup or something to get to that point. But liked how Ryota went after Aoi and brought him home and how they finally talked about the things they were moving around.
Also, I am so excited for a Juri and Kou book!! They are such cuties and I can’t wait for more of them <3
I loved seeing Ao and Ryota deal with their first big fight as couple. And they both had older people give them great advice. Even the most compatible people have arguments. Communicate! Cry it out! Make up and be happy again.
So this was the final volume. There was a page that mentioned Juri and Kou’s story being published soon…? Really? I would love to read about them too!!!!
Phew, this one was SMUTTY. The main conflict of this one stems from lack of communication which is a bit frustrating as always, but they come through in the end. It’s clear how obsessed they are with each other lol. So much sex. It was a cute wrap-up for them!
Happy to see that there’s going to be a spinoff with the neighbors! I will be there for it 👀
i was so relieved when they finally opened up to each other and shared their worries. their character development is truly evident from the first volume to the last omg i hope you two are always happy! also i can't wait for the kou and juri spin-off!!! :D

I think the best thing about this series is the communication. Normally a character like Aoi would take a lot longer to have insights about their own actions let alone be quick to have open and honest conversations after he realizes how he might have caused issues….and I love that in a story
great ending to the series...I could've read a bunch more volumes of this, but it had a satisfying conclusion to some really realistic relationship struggles. also, this art style is too good, I love their faces and eyes especially!!

man 😭💔😭💔😭💔😭💔😭💔😭💔😭💔 im going to miss them sm 😭💔😭💔😭💔😭💔😭💔😭💔😭💔 i got a little sick of the kou-san plotline im ngl but this was still so cute gosh i love them, 4.5 ⭐️
They're so codependent lol. It was a a good conclusion. The first volume was definitely the best, but I enjoyed the whole series. I also definitely want to read Juri and Kou's story.
