The love story that was never supposed to happen… becomes the one they can’t walk away from.
Meredith has built a life on her own terms—a successful photographer in Manhattan, keeping everything just out of reach.
Evan lives over 2,500 miles away. A Southern California native, he runs a surf school, spends his days in the water, and comes home sun-warmed and unbothered, his dog Bear never far behind. His life is simple by design—and he intends to keep it that way.
The attraction between them is immediate. Unavoidable. Complicated by the fact that Meredith’s sister is married to Evan’s best friend.
So they give it a boundary. Call it what it is. Just for fun.
It’s supposed to stay easy. Temporary. Something they can walk away from without looking back.
But some connections refuse to stay contained.
The more they try to keep their distance, the harder it becomes to ignore what’s building between them—something deeper, something neither of them planned for.

Never Will I Forever was a cute summer romance featuring Meredith and Evan. This friends with benefits he falls first romance has all the coastal vibes and if you like a dual timeline then you might like this one. I didn’t really gel with Meredith for some reason maybe if I had read the prior books in the series it might of been different and I didn’t really get their ages, they are supposed to be older in their 30’s and 40’s but come across much younger. An overall good read! 3 1/2 🌟 rolled up to a 4 I received a complementary copy from the author.
A cute summer romance full of friction, angst, and passion. What seems like absolute right person, wrong time turns into far more than either are prepared for. But will their love be enough?
Heartfelt • Swoony • Addictive... a romance that proves some connections are impossible to walk away from.
I absolutely loved the emotional tension in this book. The connection between Meredith and Evan felt genuine from the beginning, and watching them try to navigate the distance and complications between them kept me fully invested. This was one of those romances that made me want to keep reading long after I should have gone to bed.
This story completely pulled me in. Evan was impossible not to love, and I was rooting for him from the very beginning. The chemistry between him and Meredith was undeniable, but what really worked for me was the emotional depth behind their relationship. The cross-country distance added real stakes, and the drama never felt forced—it simply made me want them to find their way to each other even more. By the end, I was fully invested in their story and didn't want to let them go.
4.5 stars rounded up to 5. ;) Definitely not a 4.
💛Thank you to Jillian Marie for the ARC. This one releases June 25, 2026! 💛
I got this book as an ARC and read the first two books this morning! I enjoyed going on the journey and loved how we got some more of Nat and Will! I liked that Meredith got her own story after that and we got to see Nat be there for her in this book the way Mer was there for her. Honestly wish we got more of Jack and Nellie, they cracked me up. It was kinda nice to read about the woman being more unsure about a relationship than the guy but I do feel like the back and forth honestly had me so confused (probably as confused as Evan). I think it was a nice way to end the series.
Never Will I Forever was so sweet! I loved watching the characters learn more about themselves and figure out how to communicate and compromise on what they wanted out of life to be together. If you like alternating timelines, dual perspectives this one is for you! Thank you to Jillian Marie for letting me read this as an ARC 🫶🏼📚🩷
