Grumpy Biker's Bride: An Age Gap Ex Military MC Romance

Rate this book
I’m meant to be someone else’s bride. But the big grumpy biker has other plans…

I arrive in High Vale to meet the man I’m supposed to marry, but he doesn’t show up.

A grumpy ex-military biker covered in tattoos finds me instead. Hawk’s built like the mountains he protects. The kind of man who looks at me once and decides I’m staying right by his side.

The longer I stay, the clearer it becomes. This pretty small town isn’t what it seems. The corporation owns everything and asking questions gets dangerous.

Even though every part of my body lights up when Hawk’s around, I’m not his… I’m here for someone else.

But Hawk’s not the kind of man to give back what he’s claimed.

This age gap ex-military two hour romance read is part of the Seven Brides for Seven Bikers series.

Taryn and Hawk

GRUMPY BIKER'S BRIDE is Book 2 of Seven Brides for Seven Bikers series. It's s short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, grumpy-sunshine, close-proximity, curvy girl gets her biker romance. Caleb "Hawk" is a 40-year-old hunky, grumpy, ex-military man turned forest ranger and biker. Taryn is a 26-year-old curvy ray of sunshine who has come to town to get married. When Hawk sees her at the local diner, he is drawn to her, she feels the same pull. She ends up working at the diner as a cook. When she finds out her groom has found someone else, she is happy to claim Hawk. He is worried about the age-gap, but Taryn is going to show him that she is all in. I loved Hawk with his pie baking skills and hidden talents. He was such a teddy bear for her. Their chemistry was pure fire and the ending was so happy. I loved it and can't wait for Wrench's book. Please tell me Savage is getting a book too!!!

Grumpy Biker's Bride is a sweet and satisfying romance that proves sometimes life's biggest disappointments can lead to exactly where you're meant to be. With a protective biker, a determined woman starting over, and a small town full of secrets, this quick read delivers plenty of heart along with its romance.

Taryn arrives in High Vale expecting to meet the man she's agreed to marry and begin a completely new chapter of her life. Instead, she's left standing alone when he never appears. It's a difficult situation, but one that quickly takes an unexpected turn when Hawk enters the picture.

Hawk is everything readers hope for in a grumpy biker hero. An ex-military man covered in tattoos and carrying a commanding presence, he's protective from the start. What I enjoyed most was that beneath the rough exterior is a man who quietly takes responsibility for making sure Taryn is safe and cared for. When her intended husband fails to appear, Hawk doesn't ignore the situation—he goes looking for answers himself.

The moment he returns with a letter explaining that the groom isn't coming changes everything. What could have been a heartbreaking ending instead becomes the beginning of something much better. Watching Taryn realize that the future she planned may not have been the future she truly needed made the story especially rewarding.

The chemistry between Taryn and Hawk develops quickly, but their connection feels genuine because it's built on trust, protection, and Hawk's unwavering determination to be there when she needs him. His possessive streak is balanced by his obvious concern for her happiness, making him easy to root for.

I also enjoyed the underlying mystery surrounding High Vale. The town's unusual power structure and the sense that not everything is as it appears add an interesting layer to the romance without overshadowing the relationship at its center.

For a shorter read, this story packs in a lot of charm, chemistry, and heartfelt moments. The age-gap romance, protective biker energy, and small-town atmosphere all work together to create a story that's easy to lose yourself in for an afternoon.

If you enjoy grumpy bikers, protective ex-military heroes, age-gap romance, possessive-but-caring love interests, and stories where unexpected detours lead to happily-ever-afters, Grumpy Biker's Bride is a delightful addition to the Seven Brides for Seven Bikers series. It's proof that sometimes the person who doesn't show up makes room for the person who was always meant to be there.

True Love Healed her Disappointment -
The last thing on Taryn’s mind after the disappointment she had just been through, she never expected to find herself intensely attracted to another man again. Hawk was enamoured with Taryn from the moment he met her, but his insecurities made him try to keep her at arms length with the excuse that it was for her own good. However, everything changed after Hawk’s friends made put him in a position that forced him to finally act of him attraction, when he got the opportunity.

However, Taryn didn’t give up on making Hawk aware of her interest in him, which finally came true when they spent a mind blowing night together. Unfortunately, not long after Taryn and Hawk acknowledged their feelings for each other, their relationship nearly ended, but fate gave them an another chance to get the happily ever after they both deserved.

I really enjoyed reading book. All the characters exciting and made the story come alive on the pages in this heartwarming, steamy romance. If you are looking for a book that will allow you to escape for a couple of hours, then look no further than this book. I am really looking forward to reading more from this author.

When I won the heart of the Rose of Tralee

Grumpy Biker's Bride is the second book in the Seven Brides for Seven Bikers series by Jessa Joy. Taryn Denton is waiting at the diner in the small town of High Vale for the man she is supposed to marry. But as the day gets longer she is more worried that something has happened, after all she does not have a back-up plan or enough money to get a bus back to her home town. That is when Hawk steps in with a piece of pie and a friendly chat, sitting across from her in the booth. He knows the name of the man she is there for and he decides to track him down and find out what has happened. When he returns she is no longer spoken for and that is the best news for Hawk. But their story starts with the best ingredients, mixed together just right and baked to perfection.

Cute short read where opposites attract, age gap, sunshine vs grump OTT romance.
This is the second book and second bride of the series. Taryn has been corresponding with Keith for eight months and is meeting her soon to be husband for the first time. But he doesn’t show. Instead what she finds is a grumpy biker, a diner that needs help, a town that knits together and an elegant French queen.
Hawk is a man with lots of secret talents. He takes one look at the ball of sunshine and instantly knows she belongs to him. He tries to fight a losing battle and convinces himself that she deserves more. Because the fiery ray of sunshine decided he was hers also.

This was such a good book. Taryn moved to a new town to meet a guy who she had been writing as they were going to get married and settle down and she was waiting at the cafe to meet him for the first time. He ends up standing her up and she meets Hawk instead. There is something about this big biker that can bake pies better than anyone she even knows. The chemistry between these two was instant and fiery but I so enjoyed how the whole town came together to get her a job and a place to stay and generally being so welcoming that she finds a home she doesn't want to leave. I enjoyed this book so much. Cannot wait to see if the author writes more for this mc.

“Grumpy Biker’s Bride” by Jessa Joy

-A cute, quick read filled with heart, humor, and plenty of steamy moments. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts. Taryn arrives in town to meet the man she planned to marry, only to be stood up. Instead, she finds Hawk, a grumpy biker with a talent for baking pies and a heart of gold.

The grumpy/sunshine chemistry between Taryn and Hawk is sweet, fun, and instantly engaging. The welcoming small-town community and colorful side characters add extra charm. Hawk is protective, Taryn is determined, and together they create a warm, feel-good romance. The mystery surrounding High Vale adds a nice touch to the story.

This was my first time reading this author, and it was a delightful introduction. This short story follows Taryn and Hawk. Taryn is sitting in a diner waiting for her intended, only to be stood up. What she doesn’t realize is that the person who baked the cherry pie is about to change her life.

The meet-cute was fun and charming, and the supporting characters added a lot to the story. Savage, in particular, was an absolute riot! I’m already looking forward to reading his story.

Taryn and Hawk made this an awesome story to read. She arrives in town expecting to be picked up by the man she has been corresponding with, but he is a no show. Needless to say, she finds a job at the diner and when she and Hawk connect it is love at first sight, but he tries to fight the feeling, but when the heart pulls you in, he can't help but fall. It is a great short story with wonderful characters and narrative.

Grumpy Biker’s Bride is short, sweet, and beautifully crafted. Hawk and Taryn rescue each other and find solace and serenity together. Their chemistry is off the charts and their caring souls shine beautifully—especially when they bake together. I adored learning about Hawk’s secret skills, and the way Taryn just takes action to help others is awesome. This quick and easy read is low angst, quirky characters, and lots of fun.

Hawk is a man of many secrets...

The whole town knows he's big and grumpy, they don't know he makes "magic" pies, plays the violin, throws pottery...and he lost his heart to Taryn the second he saw her. He may be grumpy but I really like Hawk and his hidden talents, he may hide behind his growls, but he has the biggest heart and the most talented hands!
Taryn is the sunshine to Hawk's grumpy, she's a kickass cook and a devoted granddaughter, but she also breathes new life into both Hawk and Marvin's Diner. A delightful read on Kindle Unlimited.

The characters were very appealing and complex and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was excellent and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend!

A story that's more mushy and full of feelings that it should have been for a big grumpy biker. But it's got a lot of heart, an MC that looks out for the entire town, and the town looks out for each other. I loved the wedding scene at the end and I even got a little misty eyed at that part. There was a line in the story that I just absolutely loved - "I couldn't hate you if you gave me a manual and lessons." That was just absolutely poetry to me.

This was such a sweet romance with spice as Taryn and Hawk work their way together. She's in town as a mail order bride, only to be stood up. Say what?! Hawk is totally enamoured by her but has to give her time to get over her 'loss'. Little did he know she was all in once she saw him, too ;) I loved the care and patience between them as they got to know each other to get their HEA. With friends, family, some drama and a lot of pies, this was a one-sit read for me. Good fun!

This is the 3rd biker book I have read by this author, although the other 2 are not this series. The books are short but sweet. The MMC with a heart of gold and tenderness for the MFC.

There is little angst (smidge but short-lived) and nothing the steadfast MMC can't handle.

It is always a happy visit, especially at this adorable, tight-knit community.

This is a spicy and low-drama romance. I love Hawk and Taryn. Taryn has come to a new town as a mail-order bride, only to find the groom a no-show. Which is how she meets Hawk, a huge, gruff biker. He thinks he's too old for her, and she decides to go after what she wants: him. It is so good! Hawk doesn't have a chance. This is a fantastic short read with the best happy ending.

Taryn arrived in town waiting to meet the man she was supposed to meet and marry. Hawke saw her and couldn’t walk away without knowing her a little better. He’s grumpy and has a heart bigger than he lets on. Taryn sees through his grumpiness and likes the man she finds. It’s sweet and steamy with an HEA that’s perfect.

Taryn, a mail order bride, is in town to meet her husband, but he doesn't show up. Hawk is at the diner, sees Taryn, and falls for her instantly. The diner turns out to be her lucky spot because she gets a job as the cook and finds love at the same time. This is a quick, instalove, small town romance with likable characters and a happily ever after. The writing is good, and this is a wonderful addition to the Seven Brides for Seven Bikers series. Taryn and Hawk

Taryn has come to town, thinking she was coming for marriage but instead staying for a job. The town has adopted her. Hawk is at the diner to make the pies. When he sees her sitting in that booth staring at the pie, he knows he has found his one.
Now his grumpiness needs to step aside

Missing Groom

She was there and he never showed up. The diner is in a fix needing a cook so she takes over the kitchen. He sees her and knows she’s his and he goes about making it so. Wonderful story, loyal brotherhood, med dedicated to their women and a town that wraps around you like a warm hug.
