Lethal Devotion by Rowan Hart is the first book in the Death & Devotion series.
LOVE the interconnection from the other books, with Lethal Devotion taking place in the same world as other series from Rowan Hart, I just knew I was going to love this book, and it didn’t disappoint. Right from the start you’re thrown in Maddison’s world that’s filled with danger and an unexpected vampire…make that a vampire mate.
Maddison is determined and independent, which makes sense since she’s a detective, but when Connor shows up and takes away the control, she’s not happy. At. All.
Connor is ruthless and unforgiving to those he deems as an enemy. Actually that goes for both of them, but Connor takes it to the next level.
Maddison and Connor’s story is a little dark, a whole of action and all the swoon worthy moments I’ve come to expect from Rowan Hart’s stories. I can’t wait to continue with this series!

Theresa Boyd Wow! Fangs, Wolfs and a Detective
I love a good vampire story.. and this one was a great read. It will have you waiting to find out what happens next. Maddison really is a strong FMC and bad a&$. Connor is morally dark, at first and to see him change was awesome. What he won’t do to protect his mate… even though he was hired to kill her. The wolf shifter Rafe was an evil wolf, to his core, I could have muzzled him myself.
To see them struggle with all the corrupt stuff going on while falling in love was satisfying and we have a HEA.. it just takes some time getting there… pick up your copy and read this story of a vampire falling for a human detective , who is really great at her job. Connor, an assassin assigned to kill her has a change of heart! You will laugh, cry and get mad, so watch out!

I am at 50% and I just can’t get into this book. Told from both POV, I just can’t connect with the characters and the conflicting narrative…she feels the heat from his body one minute, then comments that all vampires are cold? Stuff like that makes it difficult to get into it. Plus, the FMC is so honorable and the MMC is the opposite. Not for me.

Story with Spice
I LOVE the balance Rowan Hart's books have with story and spice. The spice is enough to want more while being satiated. The actual story keeps everything moving and engaging between all the spice.
I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful author and she is AMAZING.

Perfection
I loved the Nightshade Series and this is the perfect start to another series in this world! Connor and Maddison's story is wonderful in its complexity and is an emotional rollercoaster. I can't wait for the next one!!
