Alone: A Post Apocalyptic Novel
Mark had finally built the life he always a place to call home, work that gave him purpose, and a love that made the rest of it matter. Then the world ended.
A devastating flu sweeps the planet, and what's left behind is silence. No crowds, no noise, no familiar faces. Just the crushing weight of a grief too vast to name. Alone is the story of one man navigating the wreckage of everything he held dear, searching for a reason to keep moving through a world that no longer seems to need him.
Some losses can't be outrun. Some silences can't be filled. But the road ahead is long, and Mark isn't done yet.

What a gripping read that truly captures the isolation and challenges of survival. Pothier does an excellent job of building tension and making you feel like you're right there with the protagonist, battling the elements and their own inner demons. The descriptive writing paints a vivid picture of the harsh environment, and the emotional depth of the character makes their struggle incredibly compelling. It's a powerful story about resilience and the human spirit.
I love reading Apocalyptic books.
