Oh I loved this one so much.
I got really emotional with this one too and I loved every second of it. Sierra Mac, you did your big one with this. 👏

I loved the ranch setting, Saxxon Ranch is where I wanna be. 🫶🏻

Denton was such a green flag for me. One of my favorite MMC’s I’ve read about in a while.
So caring, so considerate and gentle. Protective in his own way without being overbearing or annoyingly protective. And romantic as all get out. I mean come on, he wrote her a damn song. 😍🥹
Sorrel, that beautiful soul. I loved everything about her. And I’m so glad she got her forever.
I hope we get a book about Charli cause that girl was everything!

Overall such a quick and fun book. If you are into western/rodeo anything like that, definitely pick this one up!

I could not put this book down! There was so many times I looked at the time and said “just one more chapter”. This is officially my favorite country romance novel. The story of Sorrel and Denton had me giggling and kicking my feet. Their love story goes through challenges and tears but you can’t stop rooting for them. I normally struggle to read most western romance books because they tend to skim over the country/rodeo/ranching scene and doesn’t really touch on the community of it. This book hit all of that! If you are thinking about reading this book, do it!

My Thoughts
Hung Up delivered a romance that felt equal parts chaotic, emotional, and addictive. Sierra Mac created characters who aren't always easy to love, but were incredibly entertaining to follow and root for.

I would say that the chemistry between the main characters jumped off the page almost immediately, the tension is immediate between them and the antagonist and it kept building in a way that madee it difficult to stop reading. Throughout the book, the two characters learned to navigate intense events that felt a bit fantastical but extremely pleasing. There was some “miscommunication trope” content that while intricate to the plot left me a bit irritated as it is not a personal favorite of mine, but it did not detract from the story.

The FMC, Sorrel is the fiercely independent heroine who isn't afraid to speak her mind, even when it got her into trouble throughout the text. To me beneath her confidence and sharp wit, she carried intense vulnerabilities/trauma that made her feel relatable and authentically human. Her journey throughout Hung Up showcases her growth as she learned to navigate trust, emotional intimacy, and complicated realities of opening her heart to someone else.

Denton to me is the kind of MMC who effortlessly balances charm, confidence, and the right amount of emotional complexity. He initially came across as self-assured and easygoing but rest assured deeper layers of vulnerability emerged as the story progressed, ultimately it revealed a man who is far more affected than he lets on.

What stood out most to me was the balance between humor and emotional depth between main and supporting characters as well. There were moments that had me laughing at and with the characters, followed closely by scenes that exposed deeper vulnerabilities and insecurities that had me pausing and needing to take a deep breath. The emotional push-and-pull between the characters created plenty of drama without completely overshadowing the romance element integral to the plotline.

The pacing kept me engaged throughout, and while the story leans heavily into relationship conflict and emotional messiness, it never felt stagnant. I found myself wanting to know how everything would ultimately come together.

What Worked for Me:
• Strong Chemistry
The connection between the main characters felt immediate and believable. Their banter, tension, and attraction carried much of the story and made every interaction entertaining.

• Emotional Vulnerability
Beneath the humor and steam, there were genuine emotional moments that helped me connect with the characters on a deeper level.

• Entertaining Character Dynamics
The relationship wasn't perfect, which made it feel more realistic. Watching the characters navigate their flaws, mistakes, and emotional baggage added depth to the romance.

• Humor Mixed with Heat
Sierra Mac balances comedy and spice well, creating scenes that are both fun and emotionally charged.

What Didn't Work for Me:

• Character Frustrations
There were moments when the characters' choices felt unnecessarily complicated or avoidable. While this contributed to the drama, it occasionally tested my patience.

• Emotional Miscommunication
Readers who dislike prolonged misunderstandings or communication issues may find certain parts of the story frustrating.

• Some Predictable Romance Beats
A few relationship developments followed familiar romance patterns, which made certain moments easier to anticipate.

Things to Consider Before Reading:
• This is a lighter western cowboy romance but does have some dark elements to be prepared for, check content warnings prior to reading.
• The characters make mistakes and aren't always easy to root for.
• Emotional conflict plays a significant role in the story.
• Readers looking for healthy, perfectly mature communication may struggle with some aspects of the relationship.
• Spice levels are high and intended for mature audiences.

Neurodivergent Thoughts
As a neurodivergent reader, I often find myself paying close attention to communication styles, emotional processing, and relationship dynamics. Hung Up highlights how easily assumptions, misunderstandings, and unspoken expectations can complicate relationships.

Many neurodivergent readers may recognize the frustration that comes from trying to interpret someone else's intentions without clear communication. While the characters don't always handle situations in the healthiest ways, their emotional struggles felt relatable in the sense that they were navigating insecurities, vulnerability, and the fear of being misunderstood.

I appreciated that the characters weren't portrayed as perfect. Their flaws, awkward moments, and emotional reactions made them feel more human, which often resonates with readers who have spent time feeling "different" or out of step with traditional relationship expectations.

Final Thoughts
Hung Up is a steamy, emotionally messy romance that combines humor, tension, and vulnerability into an engaging reading experience set with the always enticing presence of cowboys and Montana. While some of the communication struggles and character decisions may not work for every reader, the chemistry, tension, emotional depth, and entertaining dynamics kept me invested from beginning to end.

If you enjoy romances featuring flawed characters, high emotional stakes, plenty of spice, and a relationship journey that isn't always smooth, Hung Up is worth adding to your TBR.

ARC Review! Wow!!! What an amazing debut book from Sierra!!!! I absolutely loved reading Hung Up and I cannot wait for the rest of the series and any other projects Sierra Mac may have up her sleeve! ;)

From page one, I felt like I was immediately PULLED IN to the western + rodeo atmosphere and I absolutely loved how well Sierra did that in her writing. I felt completely immersed in the western world. Between the FMC being a barrel racer, the MMC being a country singer, the Saxxon Ranch, rodeos and country concerts, I really felt like I was experiencing the true western world and I adored that. (And yes, it made me wish I was a real life cowgirl <3 ) I also really appreciated all of the western/cowboy references in the book - it made it even more enjoyable than it already was! And word on the street is Sierra is a little bit of a real life cowgirl herself, which really showed in her writing. I loved the fact that she had real life experiences that she was able to give the true settings, feelings, moments of the western world within her book.

Hung Up was a lighter read which I really loved!!! I loved all of the characters. Of course I loved Sorrel. I loved Denton’s band members (shoutout Johnny!), Sorrel’s family, and OF COURSE CHARLI. She made me laugh and I loved her fiery spirit. Denton Reed… is top tier book boyfriend material!!!! I loved seeing their love story unfold throughout the book. And the fact that he just SHOWED UP to stay at the guest house in order to see Sorrel again?!??? Yeah, I loved that. It was such a fun way to bring them both together in the plot and I loved it. I was hooked from the very beginning and kept looking forward to reading it.

I also must say that if you’re a Yellowstone fan, this book is for you! There were a few scenes/aspects that totally gave me Yellowstone vibes and I really loved that. This was also my very first book with any sort of celebrity or country music singer and I REALLY liked it. I was so happy I finally got to read a book with that trope and was so glad Hung Up was the first book for me to read with that trope!

Overall, I really enjoyed reading Hung Up!!! Congratulations to Sierra for publishing her first book and thank you so very much for the opportunity to be apart of your ARC Team! I absolutely loved Hung Up and I can’t wait for everyone in the world to love it just as much as I did!!!!

Some of my favorite quotes:

“Boots up, whiskey down!” (Love the bestie dynamic between Sorrel & Charli!)

“If you don’t have ten different nicknames for your dog do you really even love them?” (I had to highlight this because this is for sure me)

“Home's not just a place,” I say quietly. “It’s people. It’s roots. It’s knowing you can come back.”

“You’re impossible, Sorrel Saxxon.”

“Just admit I, Denton Reed, know more than you, Sorrel Saxxon.”

“Everything He Didn’t Do”

“Whether we’re hundreds or thousands of miles apart it will never change the love I have for you.”

“My Denton.”

Also this is from the acknowledgments but I just thought this was so cute: “Although her stories are purely fiction, she knows a thing or two about being a cowgirl.”

Congratulations on your first book of many, Sierra!!!!! I can’t wait to see what other books you bring to life!

I was hooked from the very first chapter and found myself saying, “Just one more chapter…” until suddenly the book was over.

What I loved most was how authentic everything felt. The ranch life, rodeos, country concerts, and small-town atmosphere weren’t just a backdrop—they felt alive. You could tell this world was written with genuine love and experience, and it made every page so immersive.

Sorrel was such an easy heroine to root for. Watching her work through her past while finding her confidence again made her journey feel meaningful. And Denton? He officially earned a spot on my list of favorite book boyfriends. Steady, patient, supportive, and completely swoon-worthy. Their relationship developed naturally, making every moment between them feel earned.

The side characters and even Dash completely stole pieces of my heart, adding so much warmth, humor, and charm to the story.

Hung Up delivered the romance, the emotion, the cowboy charm, and the sense of community I was hoping for.

I honestly can’t believe this is Sierra Mac’s debut novel. If this is where she’s starting, I cannot wait to see what she writes next.

If you love:
🤠 Cowboy romance
🎶 Country music vibes
❤️ Cinnamon roll hero
🌾 Small-town ranch life
✨ Emotional healing and heartfelt romance

…don’t miss this one.

A huge thanks to the Author for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion. Can’t wait for book 2!!!

Another cowboy/cowgirl romance I of course loved! Thank you Sierra for allowing me to arc read your debut book 🥹❤️

When I saw this book, I knew I wanted to read it based on it being a cowboy romance and how Sierra described her MMC, Denton. I was interested to see how a country music artist like him would integrate into a rodeo girl’s life!

Both Denton and Sorrel such great characters! I fell in love with them from the start and loved watching them find themselves as well as their lives weaving together and adapting for each other.

Sorrel has a lot of walls up and a lot on her shoulders as a barrel racer and helping with the family ranch. Plus dealing with a nasty breakup that still haunts her in many ways. You can tell that riding is her safe space in all the noise and stress of her life.

Denton is such a golden retriever country music artist who is honestly the sweetest when it comes to Sorrel. He is so sweet, understanding, and patient when it comes to her and it just continues to show how much he cares for her throughout the book.

I loved the mix of ranch life, rodeo life, and country music artist life, it felt like I was completely immersed in a western atmosphere! I wanted to be transported to Saxxon ranch to experience all of it. Plus the side characters were everything!! Absolutely loved little Dash and my girl Charli! I cannot wait for more from this series and from Sierra!!

4.5 ⭐️ Truly a fantastic read. I read this book in one sitting and seriously couldn’t put it down. It was a quick and easy read and is coming out this summer which in my opinion is the perfect time to read this book! I love how relatable the FMC was, Sorrel was vulnerable and we as reader got to really see her unpack all her trauma. I’m OBSESSED with Denton and how strong and steadfast he was! I wish we as readers got to see a little more of Denton’s character growth. I feel like he was just always so steady and sure, I know he obviously had to go through a lot with his father and I just wish we got a little more details on that since he was definitely so emotionally mature (which makes him such a great book boyfriend) but that definitely would have made it a 5 ⭐️ for me personally. I also just have to say Huck and Emily should really meet they’d be perfect for each other lol 🤣cause man they both grinder my gears but am sure glad to see they both got what they deserved! I am also so in love with Dash he was the perfect dog addition to the story and made my heart happy when he was happy wagging his tail! Overall I definitely recommend this cowboy romance if you love a cinnamon roll book boyfriend who will no doubt sweep you off your feet and a badass country girl who needs help finding herself again!

I have been waiting on this book since the first day I discovered Sierra’s TikTok, I was so excited to receive an ARC, I absolutely devoured this book. From the very first page I was hooked on Sorrel’s story. She’s the kind of main character you can’t help but root for! Tough as nails, fiercely independent and rebuilding herself after a toxic past. Watching her navigate her healing while fighting to protect her family’s ranch made her journey feel so real and inspiring.

And then there’s the swoon worthy country music star🤭 What I loved most is that this wasn’t just an easy, picture perfect romance. These two are put through it, and their connection builds in a way that feels earned, messy and deeply emotional.

The author did an incredible job capturing the ranch and rodeo lifestyle, it felt authentic, immersive and added so much depth to the story. You can tell real care went into making that world come alive for us readers! Honestly that’s what pushed me towards the 5 ⭐️ rating!! Most books skim over a true ranch and rodeo experience.

I genuinely couldn’t put this down🫣 I stayed up way too late just to see how it all played out and it was 100% worth it. If you love strong heroines, emotional slow burn romance and a rugged country setting, this one is a must read. I’m so excited to see where this series goes and can’t wait to read the future books in it🤩

Thank you to the author for providing me with an ARC of this wonderful book!
I absolutely fell in love with Denton and Sorrel. After escaping a toxic relationship, Sorrel returns to her family’s ranch to heal while focusing on barrel racing and rebuilding her life. When Denton and his band end up renting the guest house on her family’s ranch after meeting her one night, an unforgettable romance begins.
As their relationship grows, Denton becomes a steady source of love and support while Sorrel learns to trust again. Even with her ex continually showing up to stir up chaos and reopen old wounds, the two fight to build a future together, balancing the fast paced life of touring with the peaceful rhythms of ranch life.
Sorrel was such a strong female lead who wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable. Denton was everything you’d want in a book boyfriend… protective, patient, caring, and unwavering in his support.
This story had the perfect blend of romance, healing, heart, and emotional growth. I was completely invested in their journey from beginning to end, and I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 2!

First, a huge thank you to Sierra Mac for giving me the opportunity to be an ARC reader for Hung Up! I’m so thankful I got to read this one early.

Okay… let’s talk about it!

Right from the beginning I had so many questions. I knew Sorrel’s past had everything to do with the way she treated Denton, but I kept asking myself, What happened? What could her ex have possibly done that made her believe someone couldn’t truly be a good person? I just needed answers.

And Denton… 🥹 He was so patient with her. Even though Sorrel kept giving him the cold shoulder, he never pushed her or tried to force her to open up. He simply kept reminding her that he’d be there whenever she was ready. Watching him slowly earn her trust had me rooting for them the entire time.

When Sorrel finally shares what her ex put her through, everything starts to make sense. I also loved that Denton opened up about his own struggles and admitted he wasn’t even sure he wanted to keep chasing his dream anymore. Their relationship wasn’t perfect, but it felt real, and I loved watching them heal together.

If you’re a fan of 🤠 cowboy romance, 🎶 country music stars, 🐂 rodeo, and characters learning to trust and love again, you’ll definitely want to pick this one up!

💖Hung Up Review💖

Title: Hung Up (Saxxon Ranch Series, BK 1)
Author: @authorsierramac
Release Date: July 7, 2026
Spice: 🌶️
Personal Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Congratulations to debut author, Sierra Mac, on her debut book (RELEASING ON 7/7)!!! I was so excited to receive an ARC from Sierra and @booksirens !!! I loved Hung Up from start to finish and everything in between! I smiled, laughed and cried happy tears! If you like a small town, country romance where he falls first, then you should definitely get your copy of Hung Up ordered ASAP!

Sorrel Saxxon is a straight forward, no nonsense kinda gal. After being burned in the past, she only has room for 2 things, rodeos and her families ranch. No guys allowed. Until a certain country music star catches sight of her at one of his shows!

Denton Reed gives 100% golden retriever, would do anything for her vibes and has his sights set on one thing, winning the heart of our favorite cowgirl! The way Denton cares about Sorrel makes me swoon! He’s so eager for her affection, but is gentle with her, because he knows the traumatic things that she’s been through..The chemistry is undeniable from the get go ,but will he be able to break through her hardened shell and win her over?

Be sure to follow Sierra for more info on the next book in her Saxxon Ranch series, Broke In!! This story will be focused around Sorrel’s big sister Sutton and her husband Ryder!!

I devoured this book in one sitting. I was so excited that I didn’t have to wait until release day to read this.

Sorrel is an independent, strong woman who is struggling to find herself after a horrible relationship with her ex. She’s closed herself off and became a different person. She’s scared to love again but when she meets Denton she sees things differently.

Denton is a country music star who is struggling to find the life he really wants. After spending time at Sorrels family ranch it becomes very clear that he would be happy with a slower pace while still being able to perform.

These two go through some major events but it’s those moments that make their relationship grow into something special. I loved the way they both supported each other’s needs and found a way to make it work.

I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. This book was amazing and I feel lucky to have had the opportunity to read this ARC. Thank you to Sierra Mac for this opportunity.

Hung Up was seriously the cutest cowboy/ small town romance! So ready for the 2nd book 👀

From the first page, I was hooked.

Sorrel (FMC), and Denton (MMC) were the cutest.
Sierra captured their story BEAUTIFULLY.
Seriously, she captured such small, perfect moments, and it made the story 10x better.
Hung Up hit really close to home for me because I grew up living on a ranch and got to experience a. lot of the things that Sorrel did. I didn't have to go through having a traumatic break up with a crazy ex boyfriend (thankfully lol)
From Sorrel's horses - Zipper and Duke, (I grew up with a horse named Zipper and a dog named Duke to the breathtaking sunsets and sunrises, I was able to relate to Sorrel. And I LOVED that.
Sorrel and Denton's meet cute was ADORABLE btw.
I loved their story. From the top of Denton's tour bus, to the waterfall on the ranch, to the front of the fireplace (iykyk), and to the rocking chairs on the front porch, this story burrowed it's way into my heart.

**ARC REVIEW**

This ended up being an easy 5 star read for me. I am a sucker for small town romance with cowboys and a strong FMC. Seeing a small snippet of this book on TikTok instantly caught my attention that I needed to know more and let me tell you I’m so thankful for Sierra Mac giving me the opportunity to read it before it comes out on July 7th! I couldn’t put this book down… not even when I absolutely should’ve been asleep for work the next day.

Hung Up follows Sorrel Saxxon, a barrel racer working through the aftermath of a traumatic past relationship. When she meets rising country singer Denton Reed, he’s instantly drawn to her and finds the perfect excuse to get closer by booking him and his bandmates a week long stay at her family’s ranch. But as things start to feel real, they’re both forced to face what they truly want.

The Tropes:
🩷 Cowboy romance
🩷 Slow burn
🩷 Small town vibes

I do love me a good Yeehaw, and Sierra Mac definitely delivered.

Sorrel Saxxon is a jaded in love barrel racer who is set in her ways. Denton Reed is an up and coming country music star.

Hung Up is a cozy Cowboy Romance set in Montana on Saxxon Ranch. If you like a protective MMC who is willing to fight for his woman and drop everything to make her a priority, Denton Reed is your man. If you like a strong FMC who is capable of running a ranch and chasing her dreams, Sorrel Saxxon is your girl. These 2 were so sweet together, and it was great to see them overcome difficulties together and find a way to make things work. Gotta have a HEA.

I'm definitely invested in this series and can't wait for book 2. I would have liked to see more of life on the ranch with these 2 and maybe a little more banter. Well done.

Hung Up by Sierra Mac is everything I want in a cowboy romance. If you love rodeo settings, strong cowgirls, and swoony country boys, this one is definitely worth picking up.

Sorrel is a fierce barrel racer trying to move on after heartbreak, and I loved how determined and independent she was. Denton was charming, patient, and impossible not to root for. Their chemistry was undeniable from the start, and I couldn’t stop turning the pages to see how their story unfolded.

The Montana rodeo atmosphere made the book feel so authentic, and I loved how the ranch life, country music, and rodeo world were woven into the romance. It had just the right mix of emotional moments, tension, humor, and heart.

If you’re looking for a fast-paced western romance with lovable characters, plenty of sparks, and all the cowboy vibes, Hung Up is a great read. I’ll definitely be picking up more books in the Saxxon Ranch series! 🤠💕

A real cutesy cowboy romance that had me hooked from the start.it was emotional to read Sorrels story and my heart broke for her. I think so many females will 100% relate to the storyline which makes the book more relevant. The spice level was low and although there was mention about sexual activities, it wasn't graphic. Meaning this book could be suitable for younger readers too.
The only reas on I've given it 4 stars and not 5 is I found some of the language used a little cringy, words like " babe and darting" didn't fit the characters to me and made it a little cheesy.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the book and can't wait till the next in the series is released for me to get my cowboy fix.

ARC PROVIDED BY BOOKSIRENS

I loved the ranch setting, the family dynamics, and the genuine love for the animals. It’s the kind of book that makes you want to move to Montana and ride horses into the sunset.

But I have to say: I really (and I do mean really) hate lasting miscommunication. 🙈 It always frustrates me and it’s hard to come back from that frustration.

And if a romance is going to be a slow burn, I want the rest of the story to match that pace. It felt a bit rushed to have these declarations of “I like you” and arranging his world around Sorren when they hadn’t even kissed or spent much meaningful time alone together.

That said, this debut has a lot of heart, and you can really feel the author’s love for the land on every page. If you’re in the mood for a fast, light cowboy romance with plenty of family and ranch vibes, this one is definitely worth picking up.

I have been “Hung Up” on this book for the last few days. See what I did there. But seriously, I really enjoyed reading Denton and Sorrel’s story. I’ve been in my cowboy romance era for a little while now and I cannot get enough of them. Unlike most “Cowboy” stories, the FMC in this one, is the one that lives on the ranch so it’s really a “Cowgirl” romance. “Hung Up” had the perfect mix of sweet romance, spice, humor, and ranch family life.

Sorrel is a barrel racer and cowgirl at heart. Denton is a country music star who is unsure about his future and goals. Denton decides to take a mini vacation and rent a room at Sorrel’s families ranch. Sparks fly pretty much instantly, this was definitely not a slow burn romance.

If you love country/small town, a golden retriever MMC, insta-love, and the cutest little pup then you need to check “Hung Up” out.

Sorrel is a barrel racer with a family ranch style life that has had some trauma in a past love that has her a bit closed off. She soon meets a man, Denton, that is an up and coming country music singer that will show her that she is worthy of love and a happy life.
This story will have you swooning and defiantly wanting more. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

Good debut novel from Sierra Mac. It was a quick easy read and I found myself saying “just one more chapter” a few times.

I liked how the novel focused on other aspects of Sorrel’s life—-Rodeo circuit and life and duties on the ranch, rather than just the love story between herself and Denton. Sorrel was very relatable as a FMC and it was the journey of seeing her unpack and overcome all her past trauma that made this book what it was. Denton came across as emotionally mature and together—-perhaps we could have seen some of his character development?

The story of Sorrel and Denton was easy to find yourself vested in and rooting for them to get together. This title was a great feel good summer read. Cant wait to see what comes out next.

I ate this up I started it at last night and now finished it - what a read ! Sorrel has had a hard time with a nasty ex called Huck, who was horrible, pushy and quite frankly didn’t respect her or treat her how she should of been treated. He thinks he’s Gods gift , so understandably she has her guards up and refuses to let another man in - like Denton who is a music sensation, He sees Sorrel a mile off and starts to like her and wants to get to know her more. he’s kind, understanding and very patient as he tries to piece together what she’s been through. This is a heart warming story with a few oh my god moments, but I just love Sorrel and Denton. I loved it ,and I can’t wait for more ! Thankyou for giving me the privalige to read this .

I loved this book. It was an easy read for me. Don’t get me wrong slow burn is one of my least favorite tropes but this slow burn was done right. I would re read this book always. And I like that sorrel is a strong independent woman and Denton is ready to give up his career to be with her and have a normal life is so cute. I recommend this book especially if you love banter and love a cowboy romance. This book has kept me hung up on the characters and their moments. I would also like to thank Sierra for the book as an arc read. On page 244 when Denton is talking to Dash and he says “I’m gonna miss you, buddy, but I’ll miss your mama even more” I knew this book had me and would become one of my favorites. Denton became my favorite when he went into the burning barn to save Sorrel.

This was such a sweet, feel-good cowboy romance! I loved the small-town ranch setting, and Denton was an absolute swoon. His patience, kindness, and the way he supported Sorrel made it easy to root for them from the very beginning.

Sorrel’s journey through her past trauma added emotional depth to the story, and I appreciated that their relationship was built on trust rather than instant love. The characters were all so likable, and I flew through this one.

The reason this is a 4-star instead of a 5-star for me is that I wanted more depth and more story. Since it’s a shorter book, I felt like there was room to expand on a few things. Even so, I absolutely loved it. This was such a strong debut, and I’m already excited to see where the rest of the Saxxon Ranch series goes. 🤠💕

Cowgirl meets musician, who doesn't love it?!

Sorrel Saxxon has gone through a nasty break up, and since then she focused on the ranch, her family and is finally ready to get back to barrel racing.
Where she meets the talented Denton Reed. He protects her from her toxic ex.

He and his band join Sorrel at the ranch where Denton doesn't want to leave. A lot is happening very fast. But the pacing and the story are so good!
Sorrel deserves so much more than she allows herself and Denton has the patience to give her just that.
A match made in heaven.

If you love:
- Cowgirls x Musician
- Barrel racing & Ranch life
- Romance

Then this book is for you!

I preordered this one and it happened to come early, so I was able to read it before release day!!

This was a really cute debut! I am a sucker for a cowboy romance so when I saw he was also a musician, I was excited to read this one!! Sorrel wasn’t so sure about Denton at first but he was down bad from the beginning and did anything to prove to her that he wanted to be with her. There were plenty of swoony moments from Denton. He was patient with her and showed her that she was worth it. Definitely check triggers for this one.

I didn’t expect to finish this as fast as I did. Sorrel and Denton are easy to invest in, and I liked that their relationship develops alongside a stronger plot. Sorrel’s emotional journey adds depth, and Denton’s steady nature (green flag of a man) was a highlight. It has its ups and downs, but it makes the read a satisfying one, making it a really solid and enjoyable read.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

ARC Review: Holy smokes! I read this book in one day. I couldn't put it down! Totally related to the FMC having walls up and not knowing who to trust. Sorell is a cowgirl through and through but when a rising country star rolls into her life it has her questioning everything. This book was such a good read, because it has you hooked as soon as you start reading. It comes out this summer, and it's a great summer read.

I loved this one! If you grew up watching Pure Country and 8 seconds and later on The Longest Ride, this book is for you.
Jaded barrel racer meets golden retriever musician.
This book really encapsulates the rodeo and ranching way of life. The details are something that feel authentic to the western lifestyle. There’s love, drama, solid friendships, and the most loyal animal companions. Cannot wait for book #2!

If you like a cowboy romance, you will love this book.

This book is about Sorrel Saxon who is a barrel rider who is trying to get over a toxic ex whose family is trying to take over her family’s ranch that is really important to them. Sorrel ends up meeting a country music star Denton, that is interested in getting to know Sorrel. Both characters are going through more complex situations and emotions independently and are not sure how to navigate it with anyone else. Denton is easy going and tries to bring some fun for Sorrel who is focused on her family farm and moving on from toxic men.

When Denton and his band show up on her family farm to stay for a week, you get to see how they might be able to figure out their own emotions while having some fun getting to know each other as well. There are several good side characters like Charlie and some of the band mates of Denton. I highly recommend this book if you like a feel good, small town-cowboy romance with some more layers to peel back from the story that are deeper than just a good romance.

There is some spice and trigger warnings so make sure to check those out.

I am so looking forward to the other books that Sierra will release in this series.
