He’s excited when Olivia Grey calls and tells him that she has found his perfect mate. Only there’s a slight problem that may put Kellan off. Can he overcome his own prejudices and claim the mate that fate has put in front of him? Find out in book two of the Mail-Order Mates series. This short book is the perfect for a quick read during your lunch break or tea time. HEA ending. No cliffhanger!
This girl is TSTL. After two emails she flies out and drives over six hours (she gets lost) and shows up at this poor guys house after midnight without an invitation. (Stalker much?) They fall in love somehow with virtually no interaction and marry in 2 days. Even assuming the fated mates premise this story is poorly plotted and told. Good thing it was free. The Bear's Bride also in this series was better even tho it also is very short.
After the first book in the series, I expected something like it. The first, while nothing special, was a fun short read with likeable characters. Unfortunately the second was bad. Really bad. So bad, I didn't even finish it. The main reason I didn't like it was the heroine. She was just so full of herself. After two eMails, she shows up on his doorstep, in the middle of the night and completely uninvited und unannounced and is taken aback, because he isn't ecstatic to see her. She is fully convinced that he's attracted to her, that she is perfect for him, that his friends will love her, simply because everyone loves her. I just didn't want to read anything more about her. Really disappointing. I normally love a confident woman, but this one made me sick. SHe came over like a spoiled little princess who is used to be adored by everyone and can't understand if someone doesn't.
Book 2 in the series. This time Kellan is looking for his perfect mate and Olivia is going to find her for him. Molly is a recent college graduate who just lost her first job to down sizing and is ready to start her life. She want a husband and kids. Molly see an add for a mail order bride for shifter. This is their love connection. Enjoyed this story!
I had read the first book in the series a long time ago. I had meant to go back and read some more of the series but never found time. Couple of years had past and I soon forgot all about it. Well the other day for some strange reason it came back to me. Problem was I could not remember the author or the title of the book I had read. I had to do a lot of research to find out what the series was. Well I am happy to say I read the second book in the series and truly loved it.
I found Molly funny. Here she was getting on a mail order bride site for shifters and jumping in very quickly. She knew what she wanted and knew Kellan was the one for her through the little emails they had sent.
I can only imagine the million thoughts that went through Kellan’s mind finding Molly show up on his door step uninvited. Yeah kind of funny. Kellan does not want to move to fast but his wolf on the other hand wants to jump in paws first.
I love Molly’s spunk. She does not care to speak her mind. It is very plan to see that she knows how to handle Kellan to a point it is almost funny.
This was a great story and glad I got a chance to read the book.
By Lola Kidd Well? This is a short read, great for a lunch break, short bus ride into work. There's a bit of drama but nothing heavy. Even being a short there is NOT a lot of character development. Doesn't help getting books out if you're putting no work into them. I don't like giving low stars but here I am doing just that. If you're going to write a book make it a little longer and give it some bite
I really enjoy reading this short novella books from this series. It is filled with finding your forever. Reading them takes me away from what is going on in the world.
A HOWLING GREAT READ !!! I absolutely love it! It's just so darn good! Wolf Seeks Wife is the second book in the amazing new Mail Order Mates series by Lola Kidd and it totally rocks! Kidd has dazzled her readers yet again with her exceptional talent and extraordinary imagination by delivering yet another masterpiece of paranormal romance. She never fails to entertain and satisfy her readers. Every time I read one of her books, I always finish with tears of joy in my eyes, warmth in my heart and a smile on my face. And for me, that's why I love to read. The story is exciting, original, imaginative, fast paced, heartwarming, humorous, satisfying, romantic, arousing and sensual. The dialog is smart, well written and flows beautifully. The characters are fascinating, captivating, engaging, endearing and sexy as sin. Molly Pitt's life just plain sucks! She's lost her dream job as a preschool teacher and suddenly comes to the crushing revelation that she not only wants to teach children, she wants her own children and her own home. But that means she would need a husband and there's little hope of that happening any time soon since she doesn't even have a boyfriend. She lost him too! Oh my! Sure, she'd had dates but none of them were the one. You know, the one that makes you shiver and gives you chill bumps. What's a girl to do? Check her social media of course! Suddenly a glimmer! What's this - a Lovely and Kind Brides advertisement? Hmm....she vaguely remembers hearing a little about them. They specialize in finding brides for shifters. Shifters are so hot and she certainly could go for a little hot romance in her life right about now. Well, that settles that - she'll complete an application with Lovely and Kind Brides. What's the worst that could happen? Answer - Submitting an application and never hearing from them! OMG! This must be her lucky day - L&K Brides have found a 99% match for her and he's definitely hot! It's Kismet! Get ready handsome wolf shifter Kellan Lunar in Sunset Falls - here she comes! Seeing his lion shifter friend and neighbor, Owen Brooks now happily mated to a wonderful woman courtesy of Lovely and Kind Brides, has convinced rancher and wolf shifter Kellan Lunar that he also needs help in finding his mate. Sure, he's skeptical but also a little hopeful. Olivia Grey with L&K Brides who matched Owen and Erin, has promised to personally find him a match. He's dated before but none of the women has been a match for his wolf. So he continues his search for the perfect woman that will make him and his wolf happy. And it isn't looking too good until Olivia calls with news - she's found a 99% match for him. She may just have worked her magic again. Or has she? There's one little problem with the beautiful Molly Pitts. He's not really sure about this match. But when Molly surprises Kellan with an unannounced visit, his wolf is beyond smitten with the beautiful curvy brunette. His wolf doesn't agree with Kellan's doubts about Molly and his wolf wants her - badly! Huh? How did that happen? Will Kellan be able to look past his issues and see the lovely Molly for the wonderful woman she is? Oh my good gracious! Let the games begin! Sexy shifters-check! Beautiful curvy preschool teacher-check! Humor, romance and a blazing instant attraction-oh yeah! That and a whole lot more! This is not a serial. It is a complete book with no cliffhangers. It will however, enrich the reading experience by reading the first book of the series, Loving the Lion. I can hardly wait for Book Three! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
'I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review'
Molly is a teacher who lost her job and is ready to settle down and get married and have children. She see's the add for LK Brides and fills out her application and gets matched right away. She likes who she is matched with and decides to take matters into her own hands.
Kellen is a Wolf shifter who wants to find a mate however he tried that once and got burned. He is shocked when the owner of LK Brides contacts him and lets him know that she has found him a match but there is one issue he may not be happy with. She is way younger then he wants. She urges him to give Molly a chance.
My Opinion: I'm a little torn on how to review this one. I liked the story itself. The story alone is enough for me to recommend reading the book and to want to read more of the series myself. The characters themselves were another subject. Don't get me wrong I did like the characters to a point. Molly while her character is being portrayed as mature for her age to me is extremely conceited which in itself is not always a bad thing. I found the character to be impulsive, impatient very opinionated and in too much of a rush to get married. The girl is young and in all honesty has probably barely experienced life and she doesn't just sign up for a dating website but one that matches you with a shifter to mate and marry. I can see the positives of this however I'm not sure of how Molly's character went about things. I don't think that some of her actions helped prove her 'maturity'. Kellen in reality wants someone older then him. Likes what he see's when it comes to Molly's pictures and a couple of emails and is shocked by some of her behavior. When he himself shows some very immature behavior it makes him seem like a hypocrite. It is also portrayed in the book that he's a bad assed wolf shifter when I personally did not get the bad assed part. I have seen the bad assed part when it comes to the Lion shifters. The wolves and 'Kellen' not so much. That being said I enjoyed the book. I liked the characters for the most part. I feel it had the potential to be even better and it may have been a bit rushed. From reading some of the other reviews some others did not seem to have the same issues with the characters that I did so other readers may not either. I do recommend reading as I did find it to be a quick and enjoyable read and I look forward to reading the next book in this series.
A true rating of 1 1/2 stars. Setting: Sunset Falls, USA. Contemporary Genre: shifter romance This book was nowhere near as average as the first. I read the first of this series as part of a box set, and the male characters in this male-dominated town, where most of the women are geriatric, were sufficiently interesting that I decided to get some of the others in the series. The first one wasn't bad, and started a subplot about the town trying to make a list of "best small towns" to encourage tourist traffic and get some people moving to town. The subplot in this one is about coyotes. Sooo.... Molly is a 25 year old former preschool teacher. Because she wants to get married and start a family, she signs up with the Lovely and Kind Bride mail order agency, which caters to shifter men wanting a mate. Kellen is a wolf shifter who owns a small ranch about an hour outside of town. He signed up with LK because there are no women in his target age range within hundreds of miles, and he wants a mate. I hated the h/H in this book. Molly is very pushy, and not in an assertive kind of way. Kellen doesn't have the backbone to tell her to give him a little space to let him get used to the match that was outside his parameters. I also found the plot to be undeveloped. Understandable, given the length. But about 1/4 of the book was one relatively graphic sex scene. However, there was absolutely no curse words. The books in this series can pretty much stand alone because, even when the characters from the other books are mentioned, they're self-explanatory. If you want to read the others in the series to find out what kind of women LK brings to town, you can skip this one.
The second book in the Mail-order Bride series by Lola had me laughing. Molly is a hoot. I really liked her feisty nature. Kellan, how to describe him....well I imagine he is one hot dude the way Lola described. I think it's kinda funny that he thinks he's old. I think Lola hinted he was somewhere in his 30's? Ha if that is old, I am not sure what I am. I think what I liked the most about this book was Molly, I just found her to be quite enjoyable. A no holds barred, take it an run with it kind of gal. Spunky and determined.
It is a very short story and you will get through it rather quickly. The length means there really will be not a whole amount of tie invested in the characters background stories. But I think in this format it works well for the book. Had just enough background to develop an overall picture of Kellan and Molly. They really were a cute couple.
NOTE: I was provided an ARC by the author in exchange for an honest review.
Wow! That's Kellem's reaction when he meets Molly--she says so too but for an entirely different reason. (Who wouldn't) The both want to be married. They are attracted, however there is one area where they do not match.
The question is how serious is that difference? There is a dangerous situation at his ranch, along with his neighbor's property. It is almost as much distraction as the curvy, vivacious Molly.
Watch the game and come along for the ride. Will Mail Order Brides make another match? And who is next?
If I could change anything it would be the length, however I had that feel good smile after reading and can't wait for number 3.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Lola Kidd. This is book 2 of the Mail-Order Mates series by the author.
Molly Pitt is a head strong gal who finds a handsome rancher in Kellan Lunar. She might be coming on too strong but she goes after what she wants. Kellan Lunar is looking for a wife but when Molly shows up at his door she is not sure she is for him because of her age.
The author wrote some very good characters in this story and I was hooked from the beginning of it. The story line flow was smooth as silk from start to finish and a pleasure to read.
This book is for any paranormal romance book lover. This is from the Mail Order Mates series by the author.
This is book two in the Mail-Order mates’ series. I am doing things a little backwards I LOVE WOLF shifters so I decided to read book two before book 1.
I feel that you can read this series out of sequence but it does help to read them in order but no fully necessary.
The way she describe Kellan makes him sound so dreamy and yummmmmmy. Molly and Kellan sound like the perfect match and my only complaint is that the book ended I wanted more….. Hopefully in book 3 we gets little peaks at the people from books 1 and 2.
I loved how this lady Olivia is able to help shifters find their true mates. I can’t wait to see what she has planned in book 3 The Bear’s Bride.
I was expecting a little more from this story since the first one was so good. Molly was a little to strong-willed for Kellan and they didn't seem to fit as well. Their story wasn't enough courting for me. They met then married without really knowing each other. I know for wolves it happens almost instantly but this just didn't feel right. The side story/problem I did like. Something that pulls you from the love aspect but give you a challenge to solve is better for the story and give you more about the characters as individuals and the place they have in their town. I’ll be waiting for the next one.
This follows in the same pattern and as the tittle states the wolf is seeking a wife XD
- The hero seeing his friend all happy and gooey goes and applies in this mail order bride company, well almost all the town men does XD
- The heroine joined out of curiosity and she was lonely I liked how the heroine fitted in
- One of the main things I liked about this series is that it always brings women who society usually don't label as beautiful and they have low self esteem about their looks and makes them the hottest thing that walks on this earth in this town with those shifters
While this book was another quick read with a cute story and steamy sex (following book 1, Loving the Lion), it managed to be (almost) a completely different story. This book features Molly, a confident, determined spitfire, and Kellan, one of Owen's closest friends that we met in book 1. This is a HEA book with no cliffhanger. I can't wait to continue the series with The Bear's Bride!
I love shifter romances and after reading the first book in this series i could not wait for the second. Molly is a sweet woman who is at a stage in her life where she wants a family complete with a loving husband. Kellen is a wolf shifter who wants the same thing but he has been hurt and is scared to try again. This series so far is well written with likeable characters and lovely romances. Loving the lion was a strong start to the series and wolf seeks wife is a great follow up. I would definitely recommend this book not only to shifter romance lovers but anyone that loves a HEA
Just ok no tenderness remember this is suppose to be romantic
This story was just ok. It spent more time on everything but the couple. It was insane the way they got married it was just not enough detail or romance or tenderness between to couple, to show why they would fall in love so fast. The wolf had some supernatural source to tell him he had his mate but she was human and there should have been more effort on his part to win her heart. I did like that it wasn't erotica on every other page the sex scenes were tasteful.
The second book in the series is 2 star book. In fact I didn't really feel both characters.
I didn't feel both characters. Molly was younger than Kellan but at the end of the book I still don't know their age difference. I was solved by the mating need and fast feelings but not for me.
It is frustrating not to get all the facts together but for a short novella I cannot complain that much.
Finding out what you want In this Mail-order mate book we have a wolf shifter Kellan who thinks he wants a mature woman. What he gets is a young a vibrant woman who is still mature but young. Can he get past her age? She suddenly just shows up at his place after only two e-mails. She has a good feeling about him. Well written and entertaining to read.
Wolf Seeks Wife(BBW/Shifter Mail-order Bride Romance)(mail-order mates book 2)By LOLA KIDD
A sweet addition to this series. A quick, funny romance that's a great addition to the Mail Order Bride Series and looking forward for more of the supporting characters to get their own HEA ROMANCE. So ENJOY
Molly is a mover, Kellan's wolf is sure, but his human is a bit slow on the uptake. Add to the mix some punk coyotes, who are a rancher's nightmare, to dice things up a bit. Molly is no hot house flower to wilt when things get tough. She is right there with her man. Kellan finally gets on board and well there are even more stories to tell.
i really love these BBW Mail order bride books.... This one is so good. She is young , he is older. She likes what she sees as soon as she sees him and his wolf def likes her. I would highly recommend all the books in this series. She reads his emails back and forth and packs up her bags and flys our to him , drives out to his ranch or course arriving in the dead of night to meet is wolf first.
I liked the concept of the story but that was all. It just didn't work, the story was rushed, the storyline and characters were underdeveloped and the grammar was poor. And the way that Kellan spoke to Molly" and Molly took over everything without either of them saying anything to each other just not believable, because one of them would have said something. Not the story for me!
Good book. Could have used more character interaction though. The story was good it felt like their relationship was to rushed. It made it hard to feel like you really got to know the characters. I still liked it enough that I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
The book was given to me free for an honest review. Thank you Ms. Kidd.
Kindle Unlimited book. Mail order brides for shifters. This book is Kellan's story. He has been hurt before and doesn't want to get his heart broke again. When she shows up at his house he keeps his distance. How can she prove to him she is not going anywhere? Great book with no cliffhanger.
Five stars is as high as I can rate this story, I would love to rate it higher. I liked the way Molly took charge and went to find Killan on her own. Smart move on her part. Killan was surprised to say the least. As readers of "Paranormal" stories, any and all will enjoy this. Thank Lola
This was lighthearted shifter story about human girl (Molly) and a wolf shifter (Kellen) who meet through a mail order bride company. She's a preschool teacher who is being laid off and she finds an ad online about a mail order bride company looking for wives for shifters. Very lighthearted and fun.
Very short and a very unlikable main character in Molly. She had the whole stalker vibe going on. She just leaves home and shows up at his home. They have very little time to get to know each other then wham they are married. This book was fast. It takes less than an hour to read. There is no character development or world building to further the series.
Nice book for Lunch hour. The heroine is a a mix of romantic and sometimes to silly young woman. The idea of a mail order bride for shifters is interesting. To short for my taste, but a good introduction to the writer. I will check her other books, starting with this series
