Breeze is on the move again, aboard Leap of Faith. There is trouble lurking in every port. He gets mixed up with a cocaine kingpin, talks his way out of a Cuban jail, and takes on a pretty refugee as a passenger. His trusty trawler takes him from the Keys to the Caribbean, and even to the Chesapeake Bay, where he contemplates turning himself in to the authorities. This is a timely tale that uses current events to shape the storyline; from our diplomatic relations with Cuba, to the social impact of Fifty Shades of Grey. Robinson has proven himself to be a master of the nautical narrative. His adventure stories are part John D. MacDonald, and part Papa Hemingway. Following Breeze has action to burn. You’ll feel the excitement as the pages turn faster and faster. You’ll feel for Breeze as he struggles with his inner demons. You won’t guess how it ends. Following Breeze: Trawler Trash Book 2 is by Ed Robinson. This second book in the series follows adventures of Meade Breeze as he tries to find himself on a boat off the coast of Florida. Breeze had sailed the Caribbean with a beautiful lady in a luxury yacht and had gone through a huge chunk of his wrongful death suit settlement. What was left of it went to Andi. His portion would come from his selling the yacht. However, there was a mixup and that money went into Andi’s account. All he has to do is find her and get her to transfer the money to him. The only problem is that Andi has disappeared. He has to find a way to make money to be able to find her. As his adventures continue, he constantly is going from rags to riches and working for or running from bad men. He is also running from the law for embezzlement. Where can he go and what can he do?
This is a easy read filled with adventure! I recommend this book to anyone that likes boating and has traveled to the Florida Keys .
Great book for anyone looking for an awesome adventure! I recommend the previous book Trawler Trash . It’s especially great for boaters with the taste for a Pirates adventure.
Well I only have two books left to the whole series now of the Breeze books. I've thoroughly enjoyed each one. They are exciting, love all the characters in this one, except Bald Mark. I'm right there on the boat or beach and I'm even enjoying the sunsets with Breeze. Excellent job again Ed!
Another reliable and exciting Breeze tale which captures the details of Breeze’s travails from Florida, to the Bahamas, and all over the eastern seaboard of the U.S. My only problem with this book is the brutally abrupt ending right in the middle of a cliffhanger. Not nice or fair to readers.
Once again Breeze ran amuck and kept the reader entertained. He showed his good side and the worth while life he could have if he came clean. He was at odds with the devil and the angel on his shoulder. Now what? Delightfully entertaining book.
Part 2 was as good as part 1. Breeze has an easy going nature but trouble just seems to find him.
The storyline is slow and steady with just enough intrigue to keep you from putting the book down. The ending grabs you and has you looking forward to Book #3
I read at least 75 books a year, fill in the star rating, and I rarely write a review. I will just say that I can't put these books down. They are great.
I would recommend to any one who has cruised southwest Florida waters. Pure escapism for me. Characters are intesting; developed so I want to learn what happens next.
This is a well written, free as a breeze story of running off to the freedom of a boating life with no restraints. Lots of fast paced adventure with faster women and lots of cold beer and beautiful sun sets with stray nights.
This is the second one in this series and I've enjoyed them both. It is obvious the author knows boating and Florida but after a while reading about every island, port, harbor and hide away it loses the story line.
It looks like I will finish the series. The events and how he deals with them are pretty interesting as is life on water from east coast down very far down S America. Boat driving is forever interesting.
Although a little far-fetched it was still my humorous an interesting story I am jealous of life that he has led even know I know it's not possible Mike
