Should have ended the series sooner
Hour of the Wolf was a disappointing end to a disappointing twenty-nine book series. It's a case study in why most story lines should never reach such prodigious lengths.
The series was entertaining for the first twenty volumes, which is certainly longer than most series can accommodate. However the author, seemingly in the process of maintaining the excitement of the story, killed off several of the principal characters. Replacing them with superficial constructs both friend and foe. Finally in the twenty-ninth volume the readers were subjected to high word count descriptions of such unimaginably powerful destruction of multiple world timeliness, that it's doubtful the universe itself could contain such a volume of willingly suspended disbelief, and certainly not in support of the few remaining characters the reader could actually care about. In the end the finale was over due.

Errors, errors and errors, oh my!
Let me preface this by saying that I Love Christopher’s writing, and have throughly enjoyed the Schooled in Magic series. However, there are so many errors in this novel that I have to wonder if it was edited before publication. And if it was, then whomever edited it should be fired. The great majority of errors seem to be with pronouns, often mixing it up within the same sentence in reference to the same person. As far as the storyline itself, I enjoyed it and would have given a much better rating if. It for the sloppy editing. If it had only been a few mistakes, then it wouldn’t be a problem, but it really became agonizing due to the sheer number of them time and time again, to the point of detracting from my enjoyment of the story.
