Мені. Було. Нецікаво. 😞

I wouldn't recommend reading this as a standalone. Citi's story goes back to book 2, I believe where she was saved. She lived a nightmare, was abducted as a child and held captive for(10?) years. Now, its a year later that she's been free and Ambros was the one who carried her out and they had a friendship of a sort. But, mostly she's been living isolated with her daughter. She said she had some therapy, and group therapy and had quit both for reasons.

The book focuses a lot on her trauma, almost to the point I felt this might have been better if it wasn't a romance or romance was a subplot. Ambros felt like a side character in here. The romance to me doesn't seem realistic. The way she talked and her behavior except of glimpses of her trauma, she didn't behave like someone who hasn't been around people in over a decade. I hate that authors downplay getting therapy, like its something bad. Especially for someone like her.

Also, her daughter was non-verbal. Why didn't anyone in this whole book think maybe teach her sign language or some way to communicate???? They were so worried about her, cared about her wellbeing but no one thought about getting a child who ALSO went through years of trauma to the point she didn't speak any freaking therapy?

I'm sick to death of this bad guy who keeps lingering throughout this series, who they can't seem to catch. They have King from Carnage MC around, and still can't seem to use their resources to find this guy? It just makes the MC look incompetent. I already hated Havoc from his book, so F him some more.

I know this was more a rant, but this series is pretty good except for Havocs story because fuck that guy.

2.5 stars. Just too depressing. The main couple is fine but Citi’s past trauma is rehashed throughout the course of the book, to the point where it feels gratuitous. Even in the epilogue we get more details of the horrors that she lived through. The plot twist also seemed very familiar and predictable. The pacing was slowed by side characters and scenes that take away from the main couple and their progression. Overall, unfortunately, this was a slog.

Citi journey isn't an easy one. The things she has had to deal with from a young age, was absolutely heartbreaking. But the one thing that never broke was her strength. Her strength to survive and protect her daughter.

Every chapter you felt the emotions, and I absolutely loved the support that Ambrose gave her.

I swear the things that Citi had to deal with felt never ending. There was always a threat looming.

At times I did feel as though it got a bit repetitive, and a little drawn out. But overall it was a good and definitely an emotional read.

5 ⭐️/3 🌶️

I honestly didn’t know what to expect going into Citi’s story, but it definitely wasn’t this. If you’ve been following the series like I have, you already know exactly where things pick up and from there it just hits. The writing pulls you in right away and the way Citi’s mind works through her trauma feels so raw and real.🥹

Her struggle to feel “normal” again, while doing absolutely everything she can for Star, was heartbreaking in the best way. There were moments, especially during the heavier conversations, that just felt too real, like they’d been pulled straight from real life. It made Citi so easy to connect with.💙

And Ambrose! wow. That man is dealing with his own demons, but the way he shows up for Citi and Star every single time? He completely stole my heart. Definitely my favorite.

As always, Candice delivers on everything, emotion, tension and yes, the spice. It’s all there, perfectly balanced. But make sure to read TW’s before going in 🚨

And Capone?? I wasn’t ready. My heart.💔

Now I’m just sitting here impatiently waiting for Power and Lili’s story because I already know it’s going to wreck me in the best way.

🌶️🌶️ 2/5 Spice

I just finished Forget Me Not by Candice Wright, and I’m honestly struggling to put into words how extraordinary this book is. I’ve been waiting for Citi’s story since we first met Nevaeh, and somehow Candice managed to deliver something even more powerful, more emotional, and more breathtaking than I ever expected.

What Citi endured is absolutely horrific, and what I appreciated most is that Candice didn’t force us to witness the trauma on page. As a mom, that would’ve been incredibly difficult to read. Instead, you feel every ounce of her heartbreak, her fear, her strength, and the unimaginable suffering she survived. And then there’s Star… her presence alone is enough to shatter and rebuild you.

And then Ambros enters their world.

The relationship building between Ambros and Citi is nothing short of stunning. The connection these two form is utterly beautiful, gentle, patient, soul deep. Ambros is easily one of the most incredible MMCs I’ve ever read. The way he loves Citi and Star isn’t just romantic; it’s reverent. He cares for them with this unwavering devotion, wanting Citi not out of obligation or pity, but because he sees her, truly sees her, and chooses her every single time.

Their bond grows in such a tender, intentional way that you can’t help but fall in love right alongside them.

And without giving spoilers there is a character in this book who completely stole my heart, and the ending left me absolutely wrecked in the most devastating, beautiful way.

This story is eloquent, emotional, and masterfully written. I thought The First Cut was going to remain one of my all-time favorites but Forget Me Not blew it out of the water a million times over. I haven’t been this moved, this captivated, or this undone by a book in a very long time.

This one is going on my shelf as a full-blown Roman Empire. Bravo, Candice Wright. I cannot wait to see where you take us next.

The first two books in this series were so good! I skipped books 3,4,5 because the story line didn't appeal to me. However, I couldn't wait for this one!! My expectations were high.

There are some really beautiful moments in this one. But overall it felt drug out.

We are introduced to, to many characters, which usually makes the reader think there are more books coming or spin offs. This just pulls me away from this books characters and the story.

Amazon has this as being the final book but we are left with some unfinished plot lines.

Spoilers:

Still don't know who Lil is or where she's at!

James is still out there!

Negatives-

Why put the reader through a story of Capone and Lily the waitress, just to kill him off? There is enough heartbreak in this book. Unnecessary.

Also we fall in love with this mute little girl and when she finally uses her voice its brushed off. She was singing to Capone as he passes; So beautiful, however, when retelling the story, nobody address it?

We do get the Mommy and Daddy at least, but not till the very end.

I was left disappointed.

Citi was kidnapped as a child and forced to bear her captor's children. She is rescued by the Raven Souls MC where her sister is the President's Old lady. She is reunited with her twin sister. Ambrose is part of the mc and becomes her man. A traitor wants to use Citi's trauma to help hurt the club but she won't let it happen without a fight. Survival is her strength.

Oh lord! what have you done to me Candice?!? I have marked you down half a star as you made me sob through the last part of the book as you were so evil! I'm not sure I can ever forgive you for this! i just have one question. why??????

Citi has been through hell and back! experiencing something no-one ever should! She is amazingly strong even if she doesn't think she is! she stayed strong for her daughter. My heart broke for her as I could understand her turmoil! im glad that she was rescued by her Sister and Ambrose with the backing of the MC. Once he meets her, he is obsessed and will do anything she needs to support her and help her heal and grow! talk about serious swoon!!

I have loved every book in this series so far, they have been filled with raw emotion, they are gritty and mixed with darkness and love! I cannot wait to see what is coming next! I will then decide if i can forgive Candice 😉

I was gifted a copy of this book by the Author and this is my honest opinion

Speechless…another AMAZING book!!!

I wish I had words to describe how much I loved this book and how much I love EVERY book by Candace Wright!!! She makes me laugh. She makes me cry. She makes me horny (oh my!!!). The stories are so well written and the characters are so well developed. I want to be friends with all of the women and I want to be claimed by one of the men (oh lord, please let this wish come true 😉)!!!

And this message is to the goddess herself, Candace Wright: please for the love of god, write faster!!! 🤭

Respectfully yours,

I feel bad rating this so low because I liked Citi's character and Ambrose seemed fine too... I just couldn't get into this story at all. I skipped the last one because honestly? I'm sick of reading about all of the miscommunication and abuse within the MC. The MC treated Delphi like absolute trash and I just wasn't interested in reading how they could possibly get back in her good graces.

Seems like skipping the last story was a pretty freaking big deal cause this story you feel so freaking lost. This was definitely NOT a stand alone story and you need to read at least book 2 and 5 to understand this one.

I guess King has another kid?? This series really just went full of the rails where it comes to his character. Every time I think that it can't get any more confusing CW throws another curveball to the face. I have zero interest in Lil's story after this. I barely even read this one. I got bored and skipped ahead and even then was like "eh..". Wish that I could have summoned more interest for Citi but I just couldn't.

The Raven Soul's series is one of the most hit or miss for me I swear.. I really liked the first story. I liked the second one, until I read the third one then I hated the second one cause fk Havok. Fourth story I didn't like either cause Midas was the worst character. Fifth story I skipped, already saw the writing on the wall I knew I was going to hate it.

For an author that seems to pride herself on writing about such strong female characters she sure does put them through the ringer and lets them overlook/forgive the most toxic and egregious things. I overlooked a lot of this because I do like CW's overall writing style and I did find most of the stories interesting... but the plausibility of the whole series went out the window pretty quickly within the Underestimated Series and has ramped up more and more as the series progressed.

I spent a chunk of this book a little bored, but damn if Candice Wright didn’t pull it out in the end. I’m a sobbing mess, and I still despise Havoc for what he did to Lola (never letting go of that grudge)…but I’m also in love with this MC. The women, the brothers, the kids - all of them make this family that I can’t get over. Their healing after trauma is poignant and heart wrenching at the same time.

Citi is officially in the running for my fave FMC of this series. She was strong and sassy, and I loved seeing her in momma bear mode. Ambros was solid. He felt a little two-dimensional at times…like he had one trait, and it was loving Citi. There wasn’t a lot else to him. They were such a good couple, and they both deserved to find each other.

*SPOILERS*

Then there’s the one guy whose name I won’t list in case of spoilers. His death GUTTED me. I sobbed through the end of the book. Such a solid character - I hope he’s remembered in future books.

The plot with Lil continues to be my favorite. I can’t wait to get to her book and get all the answers!

Candice once again delivers a story that completely defies expectations. I couldn’t wait to read this book and it was everything I wanted and more 💜

Citi and Ambros…

💔Heartbreaking.
Healing.
Absolutely perfection.

A journey through pain, growth, and love that lingers long after the final page.

This one will stay with me for a long time

So much potential but it just dragged on too long.

The story and characters were great but the plot was too drawn out it became boring, so I did what I very very rarely do and skipped several chapters to the last ones. The ending was brilliant. But less is more, about 100 pages too long, and i usually love longer books but there has to be a point, not just waxing lyrical for the sake of it.

A spoilt book sadly. I would have given it 2 stars but for that fabulous devastating ending.

Tears, definitely tears!! Be prepared 🥺😢😭😭💔❤️‍🩹❤️ also lots of love with lots of drama!!
Absolutely loved Ambros & Citi as a couple ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ and love what he does for her at the end and when Star includes Capone 🖤

😆 Drunk Citi is actually quite funny:
She huffs before spinning around and stumbling over the curb. I catch her before she face-plants into the concrete.
“Okay, drunko. Let’s get you inside before you knock your teeth out.”
“It wasn’t my fault. The curb jumped out and attacked me. You saw that, right?”
“Don’t worry, I’ll avenge you.”
“Well, thank you, kind sir.” She startles when the door opens and Nevaeh stands in the doorway tapping her foot. “Who put a mirror there? Wow, I really need to wax my upper lip,” she mutters,
Tink gasps. “You b*tch. I do not have a hairy lip.”
“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the hairiest of them all?”
I laugh as Tink stomps toward us, Havoc appearing in the spot she just vacated with an amused grin on his face.
“Wait, is she drunk?” Tink looks at me before turning back to Citi, who holds up her fingers in a pinching motion.
“A teeny, tiny bit.” 🤏😜

🤓I figured out the bad guy(s) & helpers right away… I’m getting better at this..lol

📚I’ve been liking these covers!! Nicely done💋

This review is going to be a bit different than my usual where I introduce the characters and how they enter the story because Citi’s story is just one big trigger so be warned this book is the hardest of the series and I wept through most of it and that doesn’t include when she was introduced to us from her twin sister, Neaveh’s story.

Citi was abducted when she was ten years old and was held prisoner until the Raven Souls MC rescued her almost a year ago. Fifteen years of terror and assault and it was only by accident that her twin sister found out she was still alive.

Ambros is surrounded by his MC family at the hospital when he hears her voice. The voice of an angel who he hadn’t laid eyes on since he gathered her in his arms as they left the house she had been held prisoner in. He fell to the ground with her arms around him as he cried for his sister who had just taken her last breathe and her fight with cancer.

I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This book is the reason that this series needs to be read in order. It is a series about the members of the Raven Souls MC and the hurdles life has thrown at them to find their HEA. Not only are the characters recurring, but secondary characters find their way back into the fold instead of disappearing without further mention.

This story is the darkest of this dark MC romance. Darkest because it starts out with a nightmare no child should ever have to suffer. And Candice Wright doesn’t gloss over the horror. There is no on page violence towards a child, but you know exactly the horrors that Citi lived through. And the title, Forget Me Not, doesn’t refer to her being forgotten, it is much deeper and heart wrenching.

If you have triggers, you need to pay close attention to the warnings. This book will tear out your heart, especially for Star. But seeing that little girl come out of her shell is awesome especially when the MC members give her a lesson on how to deal with a school bully.

This book will take you through all the emotions – rage, tears, happiness, relief. I love seeing Citi getting back her confidence and voice to fight back. And Star… she has that MC club wrapped around her tiny little finger.

Have several boxes of Kleenex on hand because you are going to need them, but it is well worth turning the final page. Highly recommend.

Heartbreakingly Beautiful

To: Candice Wright , Thank you.

Thank you for making me laugh and for making me cry. Seriously, I was crying before the end of the prologue !
An unconventional book review I know. Anyway….. about the book/ series and all that.

This is a Dark MC Romance, and whilst lots of books claim to have dark content and then deliver meh, this author delivers the real deal. Rarely gory but frequently Dark on the psychological/ emotional front.

This chapter of the Raven Souls MC focuses on the unconventional romance between Ambros Devereaux and Citi (Citlalli) Dillion. It’s not a series that you can read in any order there’s an ongoing/ overarching background plot that connects not just this book to the others in this series but also to other series set in the same plot universe. So sorting out the READING ORDER is essential.

Ambros and Citi appeared in the series early on. He sat next to Neveah on a plane journey and she word vomited her issues onto him. Citi is Neveah’s identical twin sister, abducted from the garden of their family home when she was 10 years old.

This book picks up immediately following the events of the previous book. The MC members and their girls are waiting in the hospital to support Ambros, his terminally ill sister is losing her fight against cancer. Citi turns up to be there for him. Lil is still missing/ hiding and her deranged ex(?) husband is doggedly searching for her. He’s decided that the MC is hiding her and he’ll carry on attack anyone connected to the MC to make them hand her over. His newest target is Citi.

This book does include snippets of what she endured during her captivity. There is a list of triggers at the start of the book, don’t be too hard on yourself if you’re having a bad day.

This lady is easily one of my favourite authors. As for Cowboys and Witches, that’s a brilliant storyline too I’m keenly waiting for the next book release.

…..

To start, this was an amazing book. I was so excited and definitely loved getting Citi’s story even though I put off reading it for a time when I needed something more emotional. I’d advise you to check the trigger warnings, for real. I have zero triggers. I can and have read some pretty wild, messed up, and amazingly devastating books. But honestly, this one just hurt in my soul.. There wasn’t anything particularly triggering that made it different from anything else because this was pretty tame compared to some of the more pitch black books I’ve read. But it still just hurt. If you’ve read the previous books in this MC series, you know some of what our FMC, Citi, has survived but for those who haven’t, *spoiler warning*. Reading Citi’s POV about her boys was just heartbreakingly hard. Especially in the end when she gives her age when she had them and their names. You never forget through the story what she’s dealt with as this is her journey of trying to heal but you just really feel the emotions in those moments and I think that’s what got me. Knowing her age when it all began, then knowing when the first baby came, realizing how naive and just confused she must have been.. But also knowing the age she finally gets out.. It really put the damage into perspective. I also think that, while this book isn’t based on any particular true story, it does include things that truly happen to children in this world. And I’d prefer to be more vulgar when saying this but can’t really do that here so… that just really really really freaking sucks… Anyways, read this book. It was fantastic. But read the rest of the series first or you just don’t get all the stories behind everything in the background.

Forget Me Not : Raven Souls MC Series Book 6)
Well Candace has officially wrecked me , just wrecked me in all the best ways and by the end all shattered pieces were somehow put right back together again . I only have one question, how do you not fall in love with this absolutely amazing , Dark , Steamy , Delicious and addictive series/ world that Candace has so brilliantly created? . Book 6 already and I’m just utterly obsessed and equally in love with each couple and their journey !! . That being said, something about Citi and Ambrose really had my heart , I just felt such a connection to both . I loved the chemistry between them but it was so much more than that . The things they went through both together and separately, just resonated with me in the most unexpected of ways. I loved how different they were yet how perfectly they complemented each other. I loved what a fierce heroine Citi was and is , so strong, so independent, so resilient and capable. And Ambrose - well I just may be a little bit obsessed with this man . The way he was so protective and utterly devoted to and over Citi and her daughter star I was seriously swooning the whole way through. You can’t help but cheer for these two , because to say their relationship was not always easy or without obstacles would be the biggest understatement. Love , loss , trauma, healing, anger , sorrow , darkness, challenges, secrets , happiness, second chances and so much more . I definitely was not prepared not prepared at all for the crazy and extremely emotional rollercoaster I was just taken on

I may never recover from this one. It’s fantastic but also ripped me to shreds.

Candice Wright has this way of giving you characters you love so much and then in later books when their flaws and mistakes are shown, you feel so protective over them. Best example is how I felt in Hannibal’s book, and how protective I felt over Havoc. I loved this book, and what I am about to say is not a criticism but just a part my emotional journey reading this. I felt so torn in the first part of this book. I love Citi, and knew her book would be a hard one because she has so much trauma. But I felt so protective over Nevaeh, and felt like she was getting the short end of the stick in everything, just because she cares so deeply. I did feel better later on in the book, but that was definitely hard for me.

Citi’s journey is messy, beautiful, and heart wrenching. I loved Star so much too. Ambros was absolutely perfect for these two. It was a joy seeing the care and attention he gives them. But Lil’s story intertwined with Citi’s which lead to a gut wrenching aftermath. Candice, I may never forgive you for that one.

Be ready to cry, and probably rage a bit… feel torn. Honestly, just prepare for a wonderful emotional roller coaster. Healing is not pretty, and it’s time for Citi to start healing.

Please be sure to read trigger warning as it has some sensitive topics some might find hard to deal with.

This one was heartbreaking to understand the fierce and protective mother Citlalli who has a gorgeous little girl named star. Who doesn’t speak but you will read about why when you read the story. We find out about her in Tink and Havocs book. Forget me not was fantastic title for the book not only in name but for the ending too.
This fierce mother gets rescued after being abducted at just 10 years old, She is discovered by her twin sister who was also abducted by Jasper but not for as long, the raven souls were right on his tail.
The forgotten Twin Citti is discovered with a child and rescued by the raven souls. She has a natural bond with Ambros who she soon forms a stronger bond to when she comes back. Unfortunately it’s not an easy ride as her story was plastered in all the papers so it becomes hard to become part of society again without being known for what is in the papers. Star also has some issues when she goes to school 🏫 you get to see a side of Citti nobody has seen before. Ambros falls hard for her and Star ⭐️ they become a strong unit not without issues as they all come together through grief. I loved how the club came together to help star and Citti become strong.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This is the story of Citi and Ambrose. I will say that this is not an easy journey for her. She has had to deal with so many things from the time she was a little girl. Life has not been kind of fair to her at all. However, this has all made her one strong and tough woman. She would do anything to survive but more so to protect her daughter. I don't think there were many times in this book where there was not a threat looming somewhere. I don't want to go into the details of this story. I think you are better off going blind into it. I will say that you meet a whole host of characters in this book. Ambrose is the man if there was ever any doubt. I don't see how you read this book and not fall for him. He is so devoted and super protective of his girls. I loved the way he was with Citi's daughter. There is a lot going on in this book. But, at the same time I felt like there was a drag in here for some reason I can't put my fingers on. But, I sure did feel it. And that is super unusual for this author's work. It could have been a me thing, so don't let that discourage you from reading this book.

Another amazing read by an amazing author. The story between Ambros and Citi was heartbreakingly beautiful. I absolutely loved all the aspects of this book. It goes further into what happened to Citi when she was kidnapped at a young age. And it showed how she slowly started to overcome her fears and was able to make her life better for her daughter with the help of Ambros, her sister and the club. The minute Citi and Ambros met there was a connection that neither of them could explain. When Ambros losing someone close to him, Citi pushed back all of her fears and was at his side. Seeing the connection grow even more between them was amazing. With the help from everyone they were both able to overcome and finally get their happily ever after. I loved seeing all the pervious characters again and met some new ones as well. Not only was watching their love grow great but watching Star grow more comfortable around the club and become more of a regular kid. This book has everything we love in a book and it is one I would definitely recommend to other readers. But I would suggest to have tissues on hand (LOL).

This will be unlike any review I’ve ever written about something Candice Wright wrote. First and foremost, if you haven’t read any of her books, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? This is an author who writes soul- gripping stories. No matter what type of reader you are, I guarantee there is a story Candice has written that will fit something in your life.
Normally, I would tell you how Candice tore me apart and put me back together with jagged edges, and I love every second of it.
This book, I swear, was written just for me. I don’t want to give anything away, but the quote she put in the book before the prologue spoke volumes to me, and I came undone. I don’t want to give any spoilers, so all I can say is this book is SO worth the read, but have your tissues ready.
This story follows Citi and Ambros. Citi is Neveah’s twin sister, who has been missing since she was 10 years old and lived through something no child should ever have to live through. With the help of the Ravens Souls MC, will she overcome her past or succumb to it? Only by reading this story will you find out.

This is the sixth book in this phenomenal series, and this is Citlalli / Citi and Ambrose’s journey.
Citi is a single mom to her daughter, and she has endured so much in her life, but she is strong, resilient, and courageous, and she was abducted as a child outside her home where her twin sister and parents were inside. Now she is reunited with her sister, and under the protection of the Raven’s Souls. Ambrose is an ex-MMA fighter, and now biker, and he is protective and devoted to Citi and her daughter Star. When Citi and Star become the targets off a club enemy, and Ambrose keep them safe?
This is a well written action packed, raw, gritty, and powerful, emotional roller coaster, with found family, friendships, tensions, kidnapping, trauma, challenges, hurt / comfort, survival, trust, healing, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, tragic, twisted and unpredictable, dark romance.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
