This is a really fantastic guide to design of any four wheeled vehicle from the ground up. The only unfortunate thing is the amount of times I end up slapping my head when I see someone else on the road with "rims", camber plates, big brakes, and "tuned suspension".

If you want to do anything to change the performance of your car you need to read this book.

EDIT: Upon further study this book should not be taken as "law" it presents a perfectly valid method for designing a suspension system but it is not the only route. However, sticking camber plates on your car still does not count as a valid method for designing a suspension system.
