Some lovely thoughts on Fae and human relations. Great characters well developed.

REVIEW:
Aeron has heard a voice in his head since he was young boy. Everyone believes he might be mad like his mother, but it isn’t discussed. Aeron knows about the mortal realm, as do all in the realm of Faerie. His father once made a famous trip to the mortal realm, which is still talked about today.
Aeron is a twin. His sister, Awela has always been the favored child with their father Emyr. Aeron, on the other hand, has never known anything but disdain and indifference from his father, and neither he, nor his sister, knows why.
One day a tear in the world fabric opens in front of Aeron and Aeron passes through into the mortal realm. The voice that has been in his head all these years is calling from the other side. But what happens when Aeron gets there, and the human who called him, Tammas, admits that he was actually trying to find Aeronberries, not Aeron? Confusion on both parts.
Why have they been able to hear each other, and why is Aeron here?
TITLE: Life as a Fairy Thrall
REVIEW:
In this next installment of the trilogy, we are again with Aeron and Tammas, and it four months after the events in the first installment. Aeron and Tam have settled down to a life of bliss. Lots of sex, and a deep down love for each other. But how much is the result of the bonding between them caused by Aeron’s father’s and Tam’s mother’s evil bargain?
Their relationship is tested when the bond disappears as a result of Aeron’s father finally releasing the bond in Faerie. Shortly thereafter that same day, while they are still reeling from the change, Tam’s friend Kamala comes to them with a former schoolmate of Tam’s. Someone who at one point appears to have had an interest in Tam, and might still. Aeron is less than pleased with the looks that the friend, Firez, is leveling at Tam!
It turns out that Firez’ sister, Suchi has been stolen by someone in Faerie. While willing mortals are allowed to go to Faerie and become thralls, it is forbidden for someone in Faerie to take a mortal against their consent.
What follows is a rescue mission to Faerie, with Aeron and his twin and their two “thralls”, Tam and Firez. When things go drastically wrong, will Tam’s human magic be strong enough to save them?
TITLE: Fairy Bound
REVIEW:
In the final installment of the trilogy, Tam and Aeron are living comfortably in Tam’s house in the mortal realm, but do have the ability to go back and forth to Faerie. The main one going back and forth though is Aeron’s sister Awela, who is spending more time in the mortal realm researching the stories of individuals “stolen” by the Faerie realm. She foresees a Faerie realm free of oppression and thralls.
Tam is now a teacher at the monastery where he went to school as a child, thanks to Firez’ compact with Aeron when they agreed to rescue Firez’ sister Suchi in the second installment. Suchi has never recovered from her time in Faerie and isn’t quite right in the head. Unfortunately, she has told stories…mixed up stories…blaming Aeron and Awela for her capture and time in Faerie. She has also told everyone in the village that the fairy Aeron is Tam’s lover and living with him on the edge of the woods.
What will happen when the mob descends on the two, as well as their friends Firez, Awela and Kamala? Magic will be done. Lives will be saved. But whose?
OVERALL REVIEW:
I really enjoyed my day today, living in the world of this story. The three short novellas which make up this book interflow, and bring us to know both Tam and Aeron, as well as the supporting characters. I highly recommend this book. It has no shortage of sex. So what if one of the guys has fairy wings! If you’ve ever dreamed of fairies…give this book a shot!

The Fairy Compacts is a superb trio of stories—self-contained and connecting. It’s a love story between Tammas, a big, hairy mortal (loved that) and Aeron, a fairy as beautiful as your imagination, wings and all. This is my first fairy story. What a great introduction to the genre!
There’s treachery and conflict and angst, and family relations and friends. I loved being swept up in this story. I was eager for each chapter. The writing itself is superb and evocative. It's a romp, but there's a serious, literary undertone.
Katey Hawthorne doesn’t seem to have a lot of reviews at Amazon. She deserves to be a much bigger talent. This is one of the top books I’ve reviewed for Inked.
One star off, sadly, for the sex. It’s plentiful enough, but for me, just not erotic. I wish I could say why. Just one of those things. The story more than makes up for it. Tammas and Aeron are sweet, compelling heroes.
The illustrations start appear in the second and third stories. I really like them. They’re faithful representations of the characters and capture great moments in the stories.
