Started writing in October 2013 and published the first book in a trilogy "Bermondsey Trifle" a Gangster Thriller in June 2014. "Bermondsey Prosecco" followed in August 2015 and "Bermondsey The Final Act" in December 2015 which concluded the three book series. The latest book is "Serial Killer" published in March 2015.

This is a dark, disturbing look at the life of DI Karen Foster, newly relocated to get away from all the murders and dead bodies at her previous post. She and her female life partner want a 'normal' life.
But "normal' is not a word associated with the two killers that take delight in brutally murdering people. One is the leader ... raised in foster homes and terribly abused by the people who had been entrusted with his care. One is the follower ... not too bright and willing to follow his idol into hell.
They start by killing the foster parents ... and then one of their associates. And then they broaden their horizons ... going after any pedophile...and prostitutes...and anyone else he feels is a blight on society.
Karen is frantically trying to stop the killings. Her partner is unhappy with their situation...this is why they moved in the first place. Karen is attracted to another DI .... and now she's questioning her sexuality. And word has come down that one of their own is involved in a pedophile ring. She doesn't know who to turn to, who to trust.
WARNING: Very Explicit Sexual Situations. Very Graphic Violence and Killings.
The author has woven the story lines between professional life and personal life seamlessly. Karen is a very strong woman, except when she isn't. Secondary characters play a huge part and most are fairly credible.
This is the first of a series, and while not my favorite book, I am looking forward to seeing what Book 2 (BLUE COVER UP) has to offer.

An exciting, action packed thriller which is even better than the author's best selling Bermondsey trilogy! There is a nice mixture between the serial killings plot and the focus on the personal lives of all involved, especially DI Karen Foster. Fans of the author will be pleased to find there is just as much sex and violence in this adult thriller as they would have come to expect from reading his other books. The characters are realistic and interestingly varied. A fast paced, easy read, which you won't want to put down!

Parts were good, parts were not
Not sure why I continued to the end really. I love reading fictional serial killer books, but found the sex scenes bizarre and irrelevant to the story.

Very graphic in both the consensual sexual encounters and murder spree. Trigger Warning: child molestation details
DI Karen Foster book 1 is very graphic. Chris Ward depicts the murderous mayhem in disturbing detail. It is not for the faint of heart. There is also hot and heavy homosexual and heterosexual encounters.
The reader already know who the killers are. We watch and listen as they spread terror across England. We also meet DI Foster and her staff as they desperately try to capture these lunatics. The description of the forensics or police procedure is matter of fact and dry.
We know in great detail the detective's previous experiences, sexual preferences and her love of wine. But she and the other characters felt one dimensional.
There seemed to be one mistake: Sake is described as Chinese not Japanese.

A great page Turner
A damned good tale told in true style of blood and lust. A good plot that had me wrong guessing a few times. Plenty of dirty bits too
