A military thriller based in Iraq with Johno, a retired SAS operator with an ISIS price on his head. Johnson is hired as a contractor to provide safety for visiting VIPs. Richly complex with newly formed alliance, betrayal, Russians, a never ending number of ISIS fighters , traps, chess games, snipers, coded messages, IEDs, friendship, and nonstop action. It would seem everyone sees Johno as expendable even his employers. Can he survive in rural Iraq? Will they collect the price on his head? Can he stop the on slot headed his way? Excellent characters, strong storylines, and just a riveting read. A desolate corner of a war torn world after 9/11.
