Rage’s military background as well as his time as an MMA fighter has made him a good fit at Shadow Security. He has had feelings for Luna since they started working together however he has never pursued anything. When he finds out that she wants to be a mother and circumstances don’t allow her to wait he decides that if she is going to proceed it will be with him.
Luna is very skilled when it comes to IT and has overcome a difficult past to find a place at Shadow Security. Luna was beginning to believe that she may never have the child she wants until Rage steps in. This would be the happiest time in her life if it wasn’t for the danger from her past resurfacing with a vengeance.
I really enjoyed how the relationship between Rage and Luna went from co-workers to lovers and how protective he was with her feelings as well as when it came to the suspense part of the story.

I enjoyed the first book more than this one, but I still love coming back to the Shadow Security series. The storyline had a lot going on with the whole case, and honestly, it got pretty messy at times.
Rage/Elliott and Luna were okay for me, though I did like their chemistry. The story dragged a bit in the second half, and by around 70%, I found myself getting bored.
Still, I really liked how things wrapped up for this couple, and I’m definitely excited to see what’s next in the series!

Elliott & Luna
Elliott should have listened to her a little more and trusted her gut and he could have avoided a lot, but honestly I still loved this couple! Luna is a badass and Elliott was head over heels for her. His willingness to learn more about PMOS was *chefs kiss*.

Rage is book 2 in the Shadow Security series and follows Elliott Rageis as he makes known to Luna how he feels for her.
Rage is former military, having served with Grim, and a former cage fighter. He retired 5 years ago from cage fighting and went to work for Chains in Vegas as private security. When Courtney bought Chains, she and Daniil opened Shadow Security, and brought Grim, Rage and Chaos with them.
Luna was bullied as a teenager and young adult. She has a condition called PMOS, formerly known as PCOS, which causes weight gain, as well as other reproductive system issues. She has been overweight for so many years that it is second nature to her. When she was accepted into MIT, she felt overwhelmed so she spent her time studying and working out at the gym. Even though she could not lose weight, she felt stronger which made her feel better. Three years ago an incident occurred that forced her into an untoward position.
Because of her condition, Luna is ready to try to have a baby. She has been dating a man, Roger, for a few months and she is ready to take the relationship to the next level. But his shock when she asks him is palpable. When she receives an emergency call from Daniil, a comedy of errors occurs and she shows up at the office a little worse for wear.
When Luna walks into the Shadow Security office she is limping, and looks like she has been in a fight. When Rage sees her, he is ready to kill someone. He carries her to the locker room so she can get a change of clothes, take a shower and wrap her ankle. But he is not having any of it. He decides he is her personal carriage, and he carries her to the shower, from the shower to the bench and then he wraps her ankle for her. After which, he carries her to her office. But throughout all of this machismo, he is actually relishing having her in his arms. He has been in love with her since the first time he saw her.
While Luna is sitting on the bench, Rage asks her if she wants to talk about it. She does not, but he tells her he is there for her if she wants to talk about. She is so frustrated with everything that happened that night that she finally tells him everything that happened. Then he proceeds to tell her no one except him is putting a baby in her. She thinks he is joking, but is he?
Rage is determined to show Luna he is serious about her, including becoming a parent with her. They talk about it several times. They go on dates. Next thing we know they are trying to make a baby. But Luna is on edge. Something is going on with her. And Rage will find out what it is.
Luna finally tells him about her past before she agrees to have a baby with Rage. She knows her history could come back to bite her and she does not want to put him at risk. But he is not having it. He is a bodyguard for goodness sake.
But when packages start showing up at Luna's apartment, he chalks it up to her ex. The first one, she thought the same thing. But the second one, she started questioning it. By the third, she knew something was not right, but Rage keeps minimizing it. She feels like she is not being heard.
When Rage agrees to do a charity cage fight, Luna gets involved to help as well. She works on the auction items and displays. But she overhears a few conversations that bother her. So off she goes to her computer to do some homework. What she finds is not horrible, but it makes her question if this charity event is a scam. When she tells Rage about it, he does not seem bothered by it, so she lets it go.
On the day of the fight she overhears another partial conversation that raises her hackles. So when Jonas, from Limaj, calls her with confirmation of something she suspected, she gives him access to her computer and strict instructions on what she was looking for. When he confirms it, she knows she has been found. She is on her way to talk to Daniil when she is waylaid and her past has come roaring back to take its vengeance.
I have mixed feelings about Rage. I love him and how protective he is of Luna, but not listening to her concerns about the packages and his mentor really bothers me. Yes he is gearing up for the big charity fight, but he just blew it off. You do not do that if you love someone.
I loved seeing Jonas from the Royal Protectors in this story. I miss their books, and shenanigans, so it was good to see him doing something for Daniil. Especially after everything that happened the last time Daniil and Courtney were in Limaj.

This is the second book installment in the Shadow Security series featuring Rage and Luna, co-workers who quickly become friends. Luna has a time-sensitive problem, and Rage steps in to help. Rage has had a crush on Luna since their first meeting. Rage now sees an opening to get his girl. This plot takes us on a thrilling ride full of mystery and suspense, fast-paced and action-driven with deep character development between its main characters.
Rage is a standout character who is kind and compassionate, loving, protective, and possessive in a good way, but early on you see a lot of head-banging about their future—swoon-worthy character for sure. Luna is a woman burdened with secrets who has a quirky, lovable, and eclectic personality, a superior hacker in a different life whom some liken to a Robin Hood kind of character.
These characters wrestle with their past and their own vulnerabilities. It was awesome to see a softer, vulnerable side to these characters who have very strong personalities, but felt safe enough to expose and trust one another regardless. This couple's chemistry is palpable, but more importantly, they belong together; it was refreshingly beautiful and even made me envious of them.
The author skillfully weaves in the secrets held by its characters while slowly trying to unravel the mystery of its plot and its complex characters, while keeping us on edge to see what will transpire next. The plot moves at a brisk pace, but it doesn't feel rushed. The author plants clues along the way to help us solve the mystery and determine if Luna's past has caught up to her or if something entirely different is going on.
The characters were awesome, especially the crew at Shadow Security. Grim always has Rage's back, besties and all that jazz. Danill, the non-working prince as he is referred to, is the problem solver. Luna's friends are the bomb; they make you laugh out loud time and time again.
We welcomed the plot twists with their intriguing characters in a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat that was layered with mysteries needing to be solved, all the while finding out all the hidden secrets this plot held within it. A thoroughly enjoyable read where you will find yourselves grinning and smiling throughout.
As much as this was an enjoyable read, you have to ask yourself why Luna and Rage ignored their gut feelings and never questioned the odd things happening around them. Why the brush-off? Why not look deeper? Both had a lot to lose. Was it because they were blinded by love and afraid of losing one another?
This series leaves you eager to see what comes next, not just its characters but as a whole, as we are really loving this series up to this point, especially when your partners are a prince and princess and your friends happen to be a King and Queen. This plot was full of surprises you won't see coming.

RAGE is the kind of book that knows exactly what it wants to be and delivers it without apology.
From the moment Rage first sees Luna, the new cyber security expert walk into Shadow Security, the attraction is instant and also inconvenient! The sort of sharp, physical pull that makes a man who prides himself on control start making very bad decisions. 😜
Luna is soft and quiet (but full of determination), the opposite of the no strings lifestyle he has carefully maintained, and the fact that workplace rules frown on casual hookups only makes the tension worse. 😝
What really hooks the story for me, was the deal they strike once he overhears Luna’s plans to have a baby on her own. No emotions, no promises, just sex and eventual shared parenting.
It is a classic setup that should feel clinical/cheesy, yet the first time they touch it becomes clear neither of them understood what they were agreeing to. The chemistry is immediate and heated, the kind that turns practical arrangements into something far more complicated almost overnight.
Rage’s possessiveness flares hard and fast…. the idea of any other man being the one to give her what she wants is simply unacceptable.
Around the personal drama sits the darker thread that keeps the book moving….. An old enemy surfaces looking for revenge, and suddenly the careful boundaries Rage tried to set around this arrangement are irrelevant.
Protecting her becomes instinct rather than choice, and the external threat forces both of them to confront feelings they swore they would not allow.
The suspense never overwhelms the romance, but it adds enough danger to raise the stakes and give Rage a reason to stop pretending this is still casual.
The team dynamics is just fun, the banter is easy, and the heat between Rage and Luna is consistent and satisfying. The pregnancy arrangement trope is handled with enough emotion that the shift from “just sex” to something deeper felt honest.
By the end, the protective intensity and the reluctant softening of a man who never planned on wanting more make for a solid, addictive read.

Heartfelt, tension-filled suspense
Kat Mizera delivers another edge of your seat read with RAGE, Shadow Security #2. This is an alpha/dominant MMC, STEM heroine, forced proximity, baby pact, touch her and die, workplace romance which was heartfelt, tension-filled and suspenseful. I loved and enjiyed this story, Luna Gallagher and Elliott 'Rage' Ragels were wonderful and relatable.
Luna and Rage work together at Shadow Security. He had a military background and is a former cage fighter, she is a former hacker who pushed the boundaries and got caught. Luna is deperate to have a baby, but her health problems make it difficult, and when Rage discovers her desire he's more than happy to offer his services. Luna and Rage have incredible chemistry and their spice is volcanic.
While Luna and Rage are busy getting to know each other better and making babies, there is a lot going on around them. There's drama with the local MC, and there are ghosts from Luna and Rage's pasts who have come back to cause chaos. There are numerous twists and turns which had me second guessing my thoughts.
RAGE was a fantastic read. Luna and Rage are definitely one of my favourite coupes. I enjoyed the camaradarie between the security team and the close friendships the women have developed. The bonus epilogue had me swooning and sighing. Another gripping read from Kat Mizera. I can't wait for the next book.

There's drama with the local MC, and there are ghosts from Luna and Rage's pasts who have come back to cause chaos. There are numerous twists and turns which had me second guessing my thoughts.
RAGE was a fantastic read. Luna and Rage are definitely one of my favourite coupes. I enjoyed the camaradarie between the security team and the close friendships the women have developed. The bonus epilogue had me swooning and sighing. Another gripping read from Kat Mizera. I can't wait for the next book.

Rage and Luna are co-workers and co-owners at Shadow Security. Rage is ex-military and a retired MMA fighter who now works as a bodyguard for Shadow Security. Luna is the cyber security expert for Shadow Security whose expert hacking skills led to Witness Protection a decade ago. With her age and health issues, Luna wants to have a baby now knowing it could take time to get pregnant. After hearing Luna talking about wanting to have a baby, Rage lets Luna know he will be the only one getting her pregnant. Rage and Luna have both been secretly crushing on each other, and their chemistry is hotter than the sun. Can Rage convince Luna that she is the woman for him? Can Luna figure out who is actually sending her creepy gifts and knocking on her apartment door late at night? Will Luna's past come back to haunt her? Can Rage save Luna when she is taken by a person they both know? I loved Rage by Kat Mizera! Rage and Luna are a great couple with amazing chemistry. I loved watching Rage and Luna get to know each other better while building their relationship. I absolutely love Silver and the other guys in the MC, but my heart broke for Metal. Kat always knows how to gut punch a reader in her books in a good way. The bonus epilogue will bring a smile to every reader's face. I cannot wait until Chaos' book. I love a found family in the workplace setting and Shadow Security are fast becoming a favourite. They are there whenever needed, they're not shy at calling you out and will happily cuss you whilst also saving your butt! I empathised with Luna so much as a fellow chronic illness/pain girlie and doubts over being plus size. I felt these were handled so tactfully and respectfully and the author didn't "fix" her magically once she found love.
There are some sad moments within the story and the secondary characters from book 1 have come back for a visit too.

Danger, Desire & a Whole Lot of Rage
Rage by Kat Mizera is an addictive, steamy romance that pulled me in from the very beginning. I loved the chemistry between Luna and Elliott (Rage), especially the way their no-emotions, no-promises ‘arrangement’ slowly turns into something much deeper than either of them expected. Their banter and attraction was undeniable and smoldering, and emotional tension made their relationship so much fun to follow. The storyline surrounding her desire to become a mother added an interesting twist to their arrangement, while the characters’ vulnerabilities and growing feelings gave the romance plenty of heat and heart. As a reader you felt their genuine emotional connection and became invested in their journey- and what a journey it is!
Then there was the suspense element that added another layer that made this novel an absolute page-turner, particularly when an old enemy threatens everything they are beginning to build together. I really enjoyed seeing the Rage’s protective side come out and watching him realize just how much she means to him. Rage is a great combination of steamy romance, emotional depth, humor, and suspense, with characters who have plenty of chemistry and an engaging story that keeps the momentum going. If you enjoy workplace romance, secretive agreements that turn into something more, protective heroes, independent heroines, you will not be disappointed – this novel is for you!

Trying to do a review on a Kat Mizera book has always been harder than most others I do. It’s hard when you are trying to come up with the right words and sentences without revealing to much about the plot or the characters. Because it seems like just when you have her books figured out, she throws a new plot, mystery, hidden pasts, chemistry and more into the plot lines that catch your attention from the start, and you can’t put it down until you are finished!

The second book in the Shadow Security series is less suspenseful than the first book.
Luna Gallagher is a cyber security specialist/hacker who is in the WitSec program for discovering and nearly exposing powerful people involved in an assault ring. She’s worked hard to rebuild her life and now she’s focused on having a baby. She deals with PCOS/PMOS that creates lifelong challenges with her hormones, weight and lowers her chances of conceiving.
Elliott Raegis (Rage the Cage) a former FORCE RECON marine, MMA fighter and now an elite bodyguard has been attracted to his coworker Luna for several months. He steps up for the job of helping Luna get pregnant.
These two slowly get to know each other and build a relationship while hoping to get pregnant. Luna struggles with self esteem issues due to her larger body size and she is reluctant to believe Elliott truly desires her.
I enjoyed the effort Elliot made to reassure Luna about their relationship and how protective and caring the bossy alpha male is with her. There is several subplots that intertwine throughout the story that keeps things interesting.
I’m looking forward to the third book that will feature Chris ‘Chaos’ Brenner and Lacy.

Elliott 'Rage' Ragels and Luna Gallagher are probably two of my favorite characters. Rage is the true alpha protector and becomes a even bigger one when it comes to Luna. Luna though is not some weak heroine which is one of the reasons I love her. She is strong is ways that amaze me with everything that she has over come and continues to handle in her life. Plus, it totally helps that she rocks the hacker bad girl vibe. Rage even with his military and cage fighting history finds himself challenged by Luna which appears to be a very rare event for him. He is drawn to her and their spark is instant. While their romance is starting in ways that they never pictured with Rage helping Luna have the baby so desperately wants their is so much going on around them. Watching two people who are so strong together become even stronger together is something that kept me turning the pages to see what happens. As in all her previous books their is so many different twist and turns that the stories seem to come alive for the reader. Another plus is that the other characters in the stories grow with the couples from book to book so even in the next book you can still read about the previous couples.

Sometimes when writing reviews for books it is easy and other times it is difficult. This is one that is difficult. Not because there isn’t a lot to say, but because I don’t want to say too much and give something away. I am really enjoying this series so fast and can’t edit to see what happens next.
Rage/Elliott and Luna work together at the security company. They both sure attracted to the other, but haven’t said it to each other. Luna has a past that she is trying to keep there, but some this are happening that has her on edge. She also wants a baby, but has PMOS (I loved that Elliott knew what that was), so it could be very difficult. When Ellie hears this news, he decides she will only have his baby. While this was the excuse he used, I also believe he was ready to let her know he was interested. They make an agreement and decide to get to know each other better while trying.

Rage is one of the body guards in Shadow Security. We met him in the first book and I absolutely loved him. So when he got his book I was all for it. He loves what he does, and he is absolutely has feeling for the team receptionist and good with computers. He is also know as ‘Rage the Cage’. Luna herself also has feelings for him. It was so cute to see how they navigated through the feelings. Luna is not just a receptionist but a badass hacker. So you see what she could with a computer and how it comes in handy. She loves what she does but what she really wants in the world is a baby. So you’ll see all the ups and downs with how all that goes. Rage is in for as long as he is the one that gives her the baby. When danger lurks you’ll see everything Rage will do to protect the women that means so much to him. As long as the agency, so it was great to see many familiar faces from the previous book. How they all come together is always fascinating to see. I loved coming back to this world and I can’t wait to see what will happen next in this series.

I loved Rage (Elliott) & Luna's story. Luna is in the Witsec program and is a cybersecurity genius who works for Shadow Security. Rage, who works security beside her at Shadow Security, has admired her from afar for a while. When they are both on desk duty one night, he gets to know her better. He overhears her talking about wanting a baby. He decides the only one going to be putting a baby in her is him. It starts off as a deal with no promises and coparenting, but it soon turns into more. What will happen when Luna's past comes back to haunt her? Rage is very protective and loving towards Luna, and no one will harm her on his watch. The author has you turning the pages and leads you on a thrilling adventure with edge-of-the-seat suspense about who is after Luna. What will happen when their two worlds from the past collide?

Im a sucker for anything romance with a touch her and die feel. I love that this isnt your typical woman on the run and she finally feels safe enough to go after her dreams of being a mother. Rage is just trying to ignore how he feels drawn to Luna but when he finds out her plan he immediately throws that to the gutter and offers himself up for her. I love the workplace romance and how Rage is almost gentle until Luna is threatened.
When their pasts start to show up when they finally decide to give in and start recognizing that their feelings are more than just having a child together. I loved how this is more than a standard romance but it gives you all the feels along with some heart pounding action and a satisfying end when everthing comes together. I loved Rage and Lunas story and the found family they have and I cant wait to see what comes next!
This has action some suspense and of course a LOT of steam and sweet moments. I honestly loved this so much I went back and read book one and I was not dissapointed. I will definitely be reading more from Kat in the future!

Rage is one of the owners having worked with Grim and Daniil for many years and Luna is their new cyber security expert.
He’s crushed on her for sometime but when he clocks her limping in from a date after talking about getting pregnant, all the alpha, protective instincts take hold and he literally claims her!
As they start building a relationship other things are going on in their lives.
Rage is approached by an old mentor to return to MMA fighting for a charity match and Luna has these bizarre things going on, knocking on her door when no one is there, weird gifts being left for her; she thinks it’s tied to her past and the reason she’s in WITSEC but evidence seems hard to find.
The threads build slowly as the fight approaches with a big climatic action scene the night of the fight with twists to the story you won’t see coming.
There’s another plot line surrounding the affiliated MC that gets no resolution so I’m assuming this will carry over to the next book in the series.

I love Kat’s MMC’s, and Rage is one of the best. He’s strong, he’s capable, he’s protective and patient. He’s definitely up there in my MMC Hall of Fame.
However, I must admit that Luna was my favorite. She must be one of my all-time favorite FMC’s. I can’t express how much I admired her resilience, her fighting spirit, her determination to make the most of her life despite all the challenges she’s been through.
But I think most of all, although I haven’t had to deal with PMOS, I related to her burning, wish to be a mother and her fertility struggles. This part of her story touched something deep in my heart that made me feel seen and understood, and it’s always wonderful when you can really relate to a character. Also, I really love it when the characters are a bit more mature.

Rage, book two in the Shadow Security series puts the two main characters, Luna Gallagher and Elliott Ragels (Rage) in an interesting relationship with Luna desperate to have a baby despite the physical obstacles she faces. She also has a big secret and it seems her past may be interfering with her present. Rage has been attracted to her since she started working at Shadow Security and it seems the feeling was mutual. So, when Rage realizes that a baby is what she wants he is more than willing to help her in her endeavor. If course their arrangement comes with quite a few perks for them both, but it is their growing connection that really keeps the pages turning. Well that and the weird things happening to Luna that no one can explain. There was definitely some drama and a lot of spicy moments to keep things moving along. I really enjoyed their story and I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.

Top notch follow through! If you've been a fan of Mizera's Royal Protectors series, you will love this spin-off because we often still get glimpses of royalty and all their friends as this series delivers on more suspense back in the US. This book is Elliott Rageis and Luna Gallagher's love story and it is packed full of danger, twists and information overload and I loved every single moment. The characters are both really easy to like, we are familiar with the team surrounding them and the way they fall hard for each other is just simply addictive.
I have loved Rage in all of the glimpses we've had of him through the time of him bodyguarding and seeing him so sweet and sexy with Luna only added to my adoration.
I highly recommend this book as well as the previous book in the series to anyone who loves a tight knit, like family security firm that takes on exhilarating cases and always makes time for friends and family.

Luna and Rage's story brings both of their pasts into focus, as it threatens to upend their lives. Luna, a beautiful, clever woman, does not believe herself to be attractive. She's had a crush on Rage, who, unbeknownst to her, has one on her!
I loved how circumstances quickly brought these two together and the complications that their pasts brought to the table. With the found family at Shadow Security, they have to tackle threat and real danger. The story really seems to divide into two parts, Luna and Rage and their relationship, and the situation that involves Shadow Security, Silver's people, and the threats from the past. For me, this didn't quite gel cohesively, and I did find some of their conversations and self-talk a bit cringe. Overall, it's a good story with a decent pace. 💖💖💖💖

Might be my favorite bodyguard ever!!
Rage is six foot five inches of strength inside and out with a generous helping of intellect and a passionate nature, what’s not to love?? This story has a balance of sweet and sexy that isn’t always easy to find but Kat Mizera nailed it! The Shadow Security series has been fantastic from the start and Rage’s book was one I was looking forward to the most, and it was perfect! Luna is the kind of woman that makes a reader feel seen, her thoughts, feelings and insecurities are so relatable and it’s impossible to not envision her as a woman you would go out and have dinner or have over for a girl’s night. I will without a doubt reread this book many times in the future, but for now, I hope everyone out there picks up a copy and reads it today!

3 star read. It was a good story, just a bit predictable. I like the tropes: Found Family, Baby Pact, Ex-military/UFC fighter, Workplace Romance, and I like that PCOS/PMOS is represented. Overall, I enjoyed this book.
Rage and Luna are co-workers at Shadow Security, and when Rage fins out Luna wants a baby, he decides that she will only have a baby with him. So, they make a deal to become parents together. During this time, they are getting to know each other and form an actual relationship. But then some things are revealed about Luna's past that turn things upside down.
Luna had some legal and financial trouble before being employed at Shadow Security, and now that trouble has found her, even though she did everything she could to stay hidden.

Chemistry, Chaos & One Heck of a Ride
Rage definitely lived up to its name! 🔥 What starts with a very clear set of rules between two people quickly becomes much more complicated once emotions enter the picture. I loved the chemistry between Rage and Luna, but what really pulled me in was watching their relationship evolve beyond the arrangement they thought they could control. Add an old enemy, danger, protective instincts, and plenty of emotional tension, and this story had me completely invested. Kat Mizera knows how to create characters who have plenty of flaws but still manage to get under your skin—in the best possible way. Sexy, emotional, fast-paced, and addictive… exactly the kind of romance that makes putting the book down a problem. 😏🔥

Luna and Rage's story brings both of their pasts into focus, as it threatens to upend their lives. Luna, a beautiful, clever woman, does not believe herself to be attractive. She's had a crush on Rage, who, unbeknownst to her, has one on her!
I loved how circumstances quickly brought these two together and the complications that their pasts brought to the table. With the found family at Shadow Security, they have to tackle threat and real danger. The story really seems to divide into two parts, Luna and Rage and their relationship, and the situation that involves Shadow Security, Silver's people, and the threats from the past. For me, this didn't quite gel cohesively, and I did find some of their conversations and self-talk a bit cringe. Overall, it's a good story with a decent pace. 💖💖💖💖
