Haunt Muren is located in the mountains of North Carolina, oozing lies and bleeding secrets. When Karia Ven and Sullen Rule unwillingly enter those haunting corridors, they are greeted with ghostly whispers, deathly threats, knives laced around their throats.
Writhe is coming. Stein is chasing. But somewhere surrounding the macabre mansion of Haunt Muren's estate, someone worse is waiting.
I waited for book two of Stitches and Teeth with so much angst and fear over what would happen to Sullen and Karia in their nightmare world of men who play god.
And The Scientist of Haunt Muren did not hold back.
KV Rose tore my damn heart out page after page.
Between Sullen’s own father — a sick sadist who continually experimented on and mentally abused him — and the depraved doctor who got off on hurting an innocent child in the name of promised immortality, I had chills running down my spine. I cried. A lot.
Sullen and Karia both come into this love story carrying seriously messed-up baggage, but what they have is raw. It’s real. And it proves that love and trust can survive even the darkest horrors.
I loved watching Karia become a she-wolf. I knew it was always there — she just needed something worth fighting for. And Sullen Bram Rule… beautiful monster that he is… he’s absolutely worth the fight.
And Cosmo? Total fuck boy. 😏 But I did not expect that depth. Now I want him to find someone who drags his heart through the wringer a little. No hard feelings… but he did mess with Sullen, so yeah. 😂
KV Rose is one hell of a storyteller, and this series has easily become one of my favorites.
5⭐ i don’t even know how to put into words how much this destroyed me 😭 i was waiting for this book for so long and now i just finished it in like a couple hours and i feel empty?? Sullen… my poor boy. i can’t even think about what he went through without wanting to cry. it was so cruel, so unfair, and i just wanted to protect him the entire time 🥺 like why did he have to suffer like that… and Klara?? i LOVE her so much. strong, loyal, stubborn in the best way. she never left him, not for a second. she fought for him when she didn’t have to and i respect her so much for that.
K.V. Rose really said let’s ruin your emotions and then did exactly that. book one had me obsessed but this one?? this broke me in a way i wasn’t ready for. i’m not okay. i don’t think i’ll be okay for a while. but i loved every second of it.💓💓🥺
This book was a masterpiece. Honestly, I don’t have another word to describe it. The love between Sullen and Karia is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever read. I’m a emotional mess right now and I wish I could explain how happy I am with the ending. I’ve waited so long for this book, since the ending of TMOHN7 and the waiting was so worth it! They suffered so much, but they finally hot they happy ending. I know I’m suspicious to say this, because I’m a huge fan of KV writing, but this is probably one of her best books. Like, the passion and the poetry in the chapters of this book had me in love. The writing is so different, so passionate. Sullen and Karia deserved their ending and I feel like I will sleep peacefully knowing they are living their best life lol. Anyways, this duet is a must read, but prepare your paper tissues.
“You ran an experiment and calculated the conclusion. You were right, choosing him. Your hypothesis that there was more beneath the broken boy, it all checked out.”
Truly there are no words in the english dictionary to accurately define how fucking precious Sullen Bram and Karia Ven are. Their story is so deeply twisted and duplicitous and yet their love and obsession with each other stood firm. They battled criminal organizations, deep rooted insecurity, abusive families, jealousy, a cult that tried to debase them and countless other horrors and still they stood firm together.
“Is this what it’s like to be feverishly sick with obsession? Consumed with the desire to make yourself only available for one other person in the entire world? I would fold myself up and allow him to swallow me whole if he wanted.”
“All for him. Everything is. I am only his name. Sullen Rule. He could carve it into my body. On my forehead. I am only ever going to be his.”
Karia, once the princess of Writhe and now the scientist of Haunt Mauren. KV always creates the best heroines and Karia was no exception. Plain and simple, she is a bad ass. The ways in which Karia protects Sullen, Sully, at all costs, including debasing herself to protect him, no other could. I had to create a new bookshelf, ottp-fmc, just for her. Karia, the princess of Writhe, defies all stereotypes and fiercely protects what is hers, and what is hers is only Sullen.
“An assortment of bruises, swollen skin, a testament of pain. Proof that she has done nothing but profane and befoul and desecrate herself for me since we were reunited.”
“I wanted to eat her alive. Now I want to keep her alive.”
And Sullen, where do I even begin? I adore Sullen to the end of the universe and beyond. He must be protected at all costs. The life he has lived, full of ungodly horrors no child should ever have to endure at the hands of their own father and yet he held onto his soul just for her and her only. His growth throughout this second book made me so very emotional. The ways in which he opened up just for Karia. UGH BE STILL MY BEATING HEART.
“Nothing he said is true. Not about you, not about what you do to me, not about how you made me feel. You are gorgeous, you are so handsome, you are good at everything. I have chosen you and I will again, and again. You are not nothing. You are mine, Sullen Bram Rule.”
“I would die for her. But maybe I would live for her, too.”
I could read about them endlessly. The mundane, the grotesque, the experiments, give it all to me. I sobbed at the end. I mean I also sobbed like 5% in as well. Truly, there are no words. This is dark romance but not in a way I have ever read before. There are moments that will turn your stomach. There are moments that will break your heart. But there are moments so precious you can only root and beg for their happily ever after. Karia and Sullen are not a soft romance and yet they are the softest for each other. I cannot wait for all the versions of this story I bought so I can mark it up the way I wanted to when I read this on my kindle.
“It feels surreal. A dream that I will one day wake up from. Yet every morning I rise—before you, I might add—you are there, curled into me, breathing soundly over top of me as if you will shield me from the world. As if you will never let anyone touch me again. I believe this of you. I believe you in the way I know the sun will rise tomorrow and the sky will darken tonight. I trust you, and those three little words alone steal my breath when I remember them.”
I rec reading Ambition for a full rounded reading experience for this ( and the Unsainted universe) you absolutely NEEDA to read part one of this duet to understand what's going on.
omg im going to need a minute to digest both books together as whole completed storyline. taking a deeper look into this "duet" will take you take you on ride thats wild af, and kind of frightening in its intensity. its next level and I really enjoyed it.

You’re gonna have to open your mind and hear me out for what I’m about to say. This book is dark, twisted, and f-ed up… multiple times I was like borderline nauseated over the things in here. but omg the love story in this?? Unmatched. Sullen?? I wanna rock his world. Sullen and Karias love and dedication to each other is straight up admirable and this book genuinely wrecked me. “Some people, I am slowly finding, are worth staying alive for.” - literally burn me alive and it would be less torturous than this emotional rollercoaster I’m on. Bottom line: I love sullen bram rule with my whole heart. I mean he’d eat me alive and spit me out but I’d be ok with that. Karia, girl, I get it.
Did I just read a love story by KV Rose? In my eyes and my heart, this story is every bit a love story and I will die on that hill. And I absolutely loved it.
I was a big fan of The Monster of Hotel No.7. The weirdness and horror of it just grabbed me. But this one, BABE! It was a twisted horror story but then you have the sweetness, the acceptance and love and … safety. 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦. 🥹😩 I loved it. My heart.
Sullen Bram Rule… you are exceptional. Karia Waveria Ven … you are the Queen of Haunt!
⬇️ Writhe is coming. Stein is chasing. But somewhere surrounding the macabre mansion of Haunt Muren’s estate, someone worse is waiting.
I haven't been reading much dark romance lately, but when this book came out, I didn't hesitate to pick it up. Since reading The Monster Of Hotel No. 7, I've been patiently waiting for this book.
Sullen and Karia are on the run and they're facing Sullen's demons both literally and figuratively. The conclusion to their story consumed me right from the start. More than just a dark romance, this book is mysterious and suspenseful. Questions are answered, some that I didn't even realize that I had. The last few chapters had me holding my breath, my heart breaking at times, and the ending was everything that I wanted. Still, I was left wanting more.
This book was crack to the umpth degree. seriously KV books are just ones ya can't put down (*Yes I've read em all). And that is definitely the situation with Sullen and his Sun, Kaira. Devoured this one whole. Just like I had TMOH7 back in 2023. So HAPPY to have their conclusion.
*Must read The Monster Of Hotel No. 7 first... Ambition would help too.
OMG OMG OMG this book was to die for!!! It summed up so many unanswered questions but also the perfect story of Karia and Sullen. The ending was absolutely phenomenal.
