SUMMARY: As a skip tracer in training, Joslyn Dimalanta knows she has the skills to track down her missing friend. As long as her friend's startlingly handsome brother, Clay Ashton, doesn't distract her. But then his sister's house detonates—almost killing Clay and Joslyn. Now they realize the harsh reality: they must either find the person after Clay's sister, or face deadly consequences. And the closer they get to exposing the source of the crimes, the more explosive surprises they discover. With every obstacle they overcome, Joslyn finds herself relying on Clay more and more. Still, the peril they face scares her less than the idea of trusting Clay with her wounded heart.
REVIEW: This final book in the Sonoma mystery series will capture your attention from beginning to end. I truly hated to see this series end as I really enjoyed the characters throughout this series and their strong interconnections. Joslyn and Clay both came from abusive pasts whether physical or verbal. They had both made wrong choices. But the strength they gained as a team trying to find Clay's half-sister, Fiona, made them each realize that God did give second chances and that they were stronger than they each believed. This book is fast-paced, thrill-a-minute action with a faith element threaded throughout. It's theme of hurting people learning to trust God and each other was a point all of us need to remember. Definitely a great faith based suspense filled with a touch of romance. Well done Camy Tang!
