Now it’s the twins turn to do what is right for the family. Jesse however will not do what dear old dad is telling him and takes off to Miami leaving Will to take his place. Not my favorite book of this series which is sad to say because I have been a fan of the Westwood family throughout this series. There was something about the characters of both Will and Eliza that I just couldn’t get into this time.

The Other Husband

Another arrangement of a wedding, an unsuspecting woman? The quirky little twist is this is a twin, and the intended one, is not all wanting to commit, so what happens next is totally a mess. This story is full of surprises and unexpected events, but a true love does emerge, but can it survive. Great story.

Almost DNF it was that bad. The mistaken twin thing was ridiculous. The older brother orchestrating it? How do you run a billion dollar company with this much time for personal and ridiculous dysfunction.

Another one Bites the Dust!!!! Well, not exactly but daddy Westwood has chosen Jesse (twin brother of Will) to be next for an arranged marriage. This comes as a bit of a surprise because Will is actually the older twin, and is by far, more settled and grounded than Jesse is or will ever be. Jesse is not having any part of it and jumps on a plane for Miami. Because of this, Dad and oldest brother Alex, decide that Will can step in as Jesse until they can convince Jesse that he needs to step up to his obligations and return home for the engagement and wedding.
Meanwhile in England Eliza's father tells her that she has been chosen to be married to save the castle which has fallen on hard times over the years. She finds out it is none other than Jesse Westwood who use to date Eugenie, her wild, partying sister. When she finally meets Jesse, (who is really Will) she wonders how he has settled down so much from his wild and partying ways that she knew from his involvement with her sister a few years prior.
I had a bit of a hard time believing Will would agree to this betrayal but in his behalf he thought it would just be for a few days until Jesse actually returned. But the longer it went on that he had to play Jesse and that he and Eliza were both having feelings for one another, I felt he should have been honest to Eliza and told her the truth. This book is full of emotions and you will feel every single one of them. It is a very good read and another great story by Ali. 4.5 stars on this one.

Ali Parker’s The Other Husband is a delightful blend of romance, family drama, and mistaken identity that keeps you hooked from start to finish. The story centers on Will, who must step in for his twin brother Jesse in an arranged marriage to Eliza, a royal-minded heiress. While the premise could have felt contrived, Parker’s writing makes the switch believable and emotionally engaging. Will’s struggle between honesty and duty is handled with nuance, and Eliza’s perspective adds genuine heart to the story.

The chemistry between Will (posing as Jesse) and Eliza is palpable, and the tension of the secret—along with the looming question of what will happen when the real Jesse returns—keeps the pages turning. The Westwoods themselves are entertaining, flawed, but loveable, providing both humor and emotional stakes.

Overall, this is a heartfelt, emotionally rich romance with plenty of twists, misunderstandings, and moments that tug at your heart. Fans of arranged marriage tropes, slow-burn romance, and HEA stories will find themselves completely absorbed.

I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.

Absolutely loved this HEA/Arranged Marriage story. I honestly felt bad for the female lead, Eliza, as she's been through entirely too much in her own family, to then get handed off as an arranged bride to a wealthy family in Chicago. The Westwoods are a strange, but loveable bunch, and twins Jesse & Will are the family targets for this match. Really, it's supposed to be Jesse, but he's entirely too much of a free spirit to sit still long enough to agree, so Will stands in his place while the family tries to convince Jesse to come to his senses. The problem, however, is that Will and Eliza accidentally fall in love - but she doesn't know he's NOT Jesse. This is a tragedy waiting to happen, and I was on the edge waiting for this to happen, and of course, Ali doesn't disappoint and makes the whole thing a riveting and gut wrenching experience for the reader. Once again, the author has taken us on a wild ride of love and romance!

I did finish the book, but this is the first time I hate almost everyone in it except Eliza and Kate. I didn't like Eliza, but at least I didn't hate her. All the other characters were just selfish morons! I kept reading hoping the comeuppance and consequences would be gratifying. Nope, not enough for how awful and selfish they all were. Jesse sort of has a tiny bit of growth but not enough to offset what an absolute selfish prick he is. I'm not sure Eliza should have forgiven Will at all let alone so quickly. He started a physical relationship with her while planning to hand her off!!! And absolutely no consequences for Eliza's family. The gas lighting from her sister was next level and everybody just is like -shrug - we'll try and be better sisters. Her dad was fine with arranging a marriage to one sister when the other was an ex girlfriend - gross who thinks that is ok?
Not really a satisfying ending for anyone.

You have the next installment of the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement series. This time it is set to match the Westwood's with the Roderick's, who are royalty. Their father has been trying for a royal match since their sister Charlotte. Jesse has been chosen as well as the middle sister Elizabeth (Eliza). Well Jesse is having none of this and escapes back to Miami. In steps his twin brother who has been covering for him his entire life. Big brother Alex is pushing this match harder than their father has ever done. So when Jesse stays awol, Will is asked to stay in as Jesse. He gets to know Eliza as himself under Jesse's name. Of course they catch real feelings. Will is so conflicted and to tell her. It is a great read. How will they navigate and will they get through the identity issue and get to their HEA or will Eliza be forced to marry the real Jesse in the end? A must read in the series.

Eliza is the middle child of semi-royalty. Her sisters are very self-involved, and it has fallen to her to keep their estate together and semi-profitable. The issue is the estate needs lots of work and they need a large infusion of cash. The father decides that her younger sister Winnie, will be set up with Jesse Westwood. The patriarchs set it all up. Only issue is Jesse is not interested and Winnie is only for the money. When she is found in a hotel room with another guy, the Westwood's decide that Eliza is the better choice. Little does she know that Jesse has not shown up, and she thinks the identical twin, Will, is actually Jesse. She can't believe how much he has changed and how attentive he is. Will has always liked Eliza and now he has a chance with her. Or does he? Can you see what may happen? This is a good read with good primary and secondary characters. Enjoy.

A great addition to the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement Series. Jesse and Will are identical Westwood twins and overflowing with money. But, their father always felt the missing link was royalty and when the opportunity came to intermarry Jesse with a Roderick girl, he was all in. Only problem is Jesse wanted no part of the scheme and skipped town. The solution was to have Will fill in until Jesse came to his senses. A really cute story that will grab your attention right away. What happens when Will and Eliza fall in love? What happens that Jesse is actually Will? A page turning romance with some twists that will keep you guessing and pulling for them. A fun story that you will enjoy. Great characters and another Ali winner. I received a free ARC of this book from the author's team and I voluntarily chose to write this review.

What a dilemma and a half Will has in this latest Westwood family drama. Will comes across as an honourable and kind man but in taking his twin brother Jesse’s place in an engagement was a disappointment in my opinion and the longer it went on the more I felt annoyed with him. I actually admired Jesse for saying “no” to his father about the arranged marriage.
Eliza’s character was an odd one to define. She seemed to be used by her whole family and yet would do anything to keep the family castle even going through with the arranged marriage.
I had no idea how it would all resolve itself with such a messy situation but a few home truths with both families definitely helped.
It was certainly an emotional rollercoaster of a read and there was a tear or two as the love story of Will and Eliza came to an end.

Will has always been the responsible one when it comes to his twin brother, so when Jesse is reluctant to marry the woman his father has arranged a marriage with Will agrees to pretend to be him until his brother does what is right. What he didn’t’ expect was to develop feelings for her knowing that they can never have a future together.

After her sister’s actions Eliza finds herself trying to protect her family by marrying Jesse, but the situation is complicated as he shares a past with her sister. She is having trouble reconciling the man she finds herself engaged to with the man she believes him to be, but it is only a matter of time but she finds out why.

Secrets, family drama and surprises as Will and Eliza are on a collision course for heartbreak that has you needing to know how everything will unfold.

Ali Parker is a great story teller. The Other Husband is the next story in the tale of the Westwood Family legacy. This book is about the twins. Jesse is next in line, according to his father, for the arranged marriage. The potential wife is Eliza, who is from a royal family and would be the perfect addition to the Westwood legacy. Needless to say, Eliza’s family comes with a host of personalities, which add to this story. The characters are well developed. This is an emotional ride for the reader. It’s a hard book to put down until the end.

Cannot get enough of this series!

I have read all eight books in this series and am looking for book nine. Will there be a book nine? My productivity is suffering because I have my nose in Ali Parker’s books ALL the time. It’s okay, I’m retired, I have earned the right to read all I want. Thank you Ali Parker for entertaining books with characters I want to visit again. I love the new friends I have made from the pages of these books. I appreciate how much you have grown as a writer and author. Your stories get better and better. Please keep up the good work and give us a book nine!🤗

What a clever, sizzling page-turner! The Other Husband’s cast of characters plays a game of who’s who in a complicated arranged marriage alliance that might succeed when the dust clears or might, on the other hand, blow up in their faces. And the prize goes to . . . HEA, of course, but not without heartaches. Another tour de force from Ali Parker who always beguiles me from beginning to end, and I can’t wait for the next story of the Billionaire Inheritance Arrangement Series!

The Other Husband was another good book in the Westwood Brothers series. This time, one of the twins - Jesse - had been chosen by his father and Alex, his oldest brother and CEO of Westwood and Sons to be the next brother forced into an arranged marriage. Jesse wasn't keen on the idea, so his identical twin, Will, had to step up and pretend to be Jesse until Jesse decided to man up. In the meantime, things got rather complicated between Eliza and Will. Their HEA was fraught with many pitfalls but was finally attained.

This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone. I thought the characters and plot were well developed. There were some laughs and some heartache before Will and Eliza could get their HEA. It was apparent from the beginning that there were major obstacles to overcome but I liked the way things came together. I enjoyed seeing Eliza’s growth over the course of the story and how Will’s support and encouragement helped her become strong enough to stand up for herself.

Will and Eliza are so compatible in every way! This series is so remarkable! There is destiny between these two! The emotions in this book are written so beautifully! The feelings keep you page turning and unable to put it down! From secrets that make you so angry you cry, to steamy love that can't be held off. Then of course sweetness that makes your heart smile. Girl you have a phenomenal talent, thank you Ali for sharing it with me over and over! I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author, and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.

Anyone who has been friends with identical twins, will enjoy the way they switch around - enter Will and Jesse. Dad still has his eye on a Royal title and Jesse gets targeted to get married and hopefully calm him down. Jesse has other ideas and escapes back to Miami - leaving Will to step in and pretend to be Jesse with his fiancée. But... as there always is, no counts on Will and Elliza catching feelings and Will not being prepared to give her up. That is the big question - you'll need to read the story to find out the ending.

He's the responsible twin who is always cleaning up the messes. when an arranged marriage is set for his twin who goes awol, Will steps in and his path with Liza begins. She is everything he wants in a woman and nothing his brother wants and as they navigate their path it begins to fall in place Liza notices the differences. When everything comes out will he and Liza find happiness. This story is filled with dramatic twists that kept me glued to the pages to see how Will and Liza's story ends.

This is the latest in the Billionaire brothers series featuring the Westwood siblings, it can be read as a standalone, but as characters from the other books also feature it makes a more enjoyable read if you have read other books in the series. This book involves identical twins Will and Jesse. There is a certain amount of deceit and subterfuge in this story, which also involves British aristocracy. A different pace to some of the other books, but full of lots of plot twists nonetheless. I received this as an ARC.

The Other Husband, book eight in the Billionaires Inheritance Arrangement series follows Will Westwood and Lady Elizabeth Rose Roderick, or simply Eliza.
Another arranged marriage, and this time it’s one of the twin brothers, Jesse who is chosen, which is surprising since he is the younger of the twins, Will being the oldest. Of course, when Jesse finds out, he flees to Miami before his father can send him off to England to meet Eliza, forcing their father, and older brother Alex, to ask Will to step in until they can bring Jesse home. When Eliza is informed that she is to be married to help save their home, she is surprised to learn that her new fiancé is Jesse, who once dated her older sister Eugenie. Of course, when she meets “Jesse” aka Will, he is completely different then the man she once knew, much less wild and always in the partying mood like when he was with her sister. What starts off as what Will assumes will be a few days, turns out to be much longer, and when their feelings start to develop, Will begins to wonder what will happen if Jesse does return. Will he be able to step aside so easily? Or will Will remain in Jesse’s place, even when the truth comes out?

The fathers of two influential families, the Rodrick’s in England and the Westwoods in Chicago, decide to form an alliance through a traditional arranged marriage. This is where the plots thicken. There is deception, mean sisters, evading, lies, brotherhood, family, chosen family, and in all this a love story. This is a must read for the details. Loved this book.

The Other Husband was a story about an earl's daughter named Eliza and Will Westwood, a twin. Elizabeth/Eliza thought she was spending time with Jessie, Will's twin. Jessie had taken off to Florida and the family had Will fill in for him. Eliza had a contract to wed Jessie. This way her family would be able to fix their castle and the Westwoods would become royalty. See what happens to the twins, Eliza, and the contract... The story was wonderful and teary eyed too!
