Maggie was awesome but Dominico was the best. This book had everything love, tension, murder, and backstabbing. I loved the story im not gonna lie I wish it had been longer. This author knocked it out of the park once again.

Dominico the Mafia heir and Rae the woman who is down on her luck and works as a maid in the household he spent years working in. Now this was definitely a Cinderella story with a twist. 💅
Rae is wanting to start fresh and so she decides she needs to get a job and this is where her uncle pulls some strings to get her a job with the crime family household he basically worked in for awhile now. The night before Rae begins her job she ventures out to a local bar where she meets a handsome stranger who goes by the name of Nico. While she was tempted by him she did not give in and thought that was the end of that only for who Nico (yes his nickname is Nico) otherwise known as Dominico to show up the very next day.
Dominico has distanced himself from his grandparents as he didn’t want to take on the mafia heir burden but now it is time to step back into this roll but now he is even more determined to take the crown because his attention is firmly captured by Rae. Of course his grandparents are old fashioned mafia family in which they want Dominico to marry well but if he is the Don who will question his choice.
To say Dominico fell head over heels for our FMC would be quite the understatement. Rae took quite some time to come around to Dominico’s advances as she believed that her being there was only a temporary thing especially since she has a past which was quickly resurfacing. But let’s just say Dominico was very content to protect his woman and make all her problems disappear.
A favourite moment of mine in this book is when Rae is in trouble and she doesn’t even know if Dominico would come to her rescue but you bet ya that he comes running to her side once he hears the distress in her voice. I think this was definitely a moment of realisation for Rae that she had this man wrapped around her finger and his affections were far from temporary.
Of course you do have the forbidden element of a Mafia Heir and a Maid and while they did keep the relationship under wraps from his grandparents, the supporting characters were very aware of how far these two have fallen for one another. I absolutely loved Arabella as a supporting character, Rae definitely saw a bit of herself in her and the two bonded and supported each other.
Overall I loved this book and I am so excited for the next instalment. Thank you to the author who provided this e-arc for my honest thoughts 💭

ARC Review, thx Alexa Michaels
I was initially very skeptical when I read the tropes for this third installment—a maid meeting a future Mafia Don, with the maid sporting numerous tattoos and piercings. But boy, did I have a blast reading it; the two protagonists are explosive, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. The supporting characters also bring a lot of life and tension to the storyline. Nico and Rae shake up the Mafia household, and the reader is right in the thick of it. I’m looking forward to Arabella and Luigi’s story.

First and foremost, thank you, Alexa Michaels, for entrusting me with another ARC from the series!!
The first Novella was great, and then Crimson Night Sin was an absolutely amazing start for this introduction of the series, especially of Vincenzo and Amanda. Then Crimson Night Vows with Liam and Gabriella as an arranged marriage, but with a Phantom of the Opera style, was one of my favourite books in this series. Having gotten a little glimpse or spoiler from Crimson Night Vows about Crimson Night Heir's couple, Domenico and Rae, being a cinderella retelling, I was ready to read more into this interconnected world.
**Spoilers Ahead**
I think the best thing about the book was the fact that even though it was a Cinderella retelling, Rae was not so nice, meaning not so much of a Cinderella. She really was just a bad ass emo ass girl who had pierced tattoos and drove a cool ass car. Having gotten the introduction of Rae, it was so evident to me that Dominico was gonna be just as badass and also have the same charisma and attitude as Rae, which meant they were going to have to go through an enemies-to-lovers arc. I think the best part for me recently has to be a book that has a great romance, but the most important part would have to be the plot and when I tell you, the plot was there from the beginning, but I wish we would have gotten more intense and invovled towards the end(MAIN REASON FOR THE 4 STAR RATING), a bit more resolved to the plot, especially when it comes to the people that were hunting her. I think that could've been a bigger, much more involved storyline. But regardless of my opinions, I think the choice to make it the way it was was good because it allowed the plot to be the civil war of Domenico, trying to get his power as an heir from his Nono and thus not caring about the rejection of class disparities. In other words, Dominico essentially dethroned his grandpa in order to be in charge as don and make Rae his queen.
I think the aspect that I did like about this book was the class disparities and how constantly throughout the book we got to see Domenico be in such a regal and lavish lifestyle, and him not want anything to do with it. When, on the other hand, it comes to Rae, she is broke, and she is stealing to make ends meet, and she's working multiple jobs and being the maid of Dominico's house. I think once they met again for the first time since they were kids and having that first interaction between them, be at a bar, and her rejecting a drink that he bought and offered just spoke to the fact that their class discrepancies really didn't matter like attraction and love. So when it came through reading the entire story, you got to see how the class discrepancies just slowly faded away, and started to mush together because Domenico wanted to spoil Rae with the life that she has earned and deserves.
Also, I ended up reading the Sweet Cherry Pie Epilogue and them having their races finally between Domenico and Rae. It was so cute and also great to have that final ending to their story because we finally got to see Domenico drive Rae's car. And that in itself just truly shows that Rae is not only deeply in love with Domenico and vice versa, but also that Rae trusts Domenico enough to let him drive her car. Which is amazing because for the entire book they were kind of not so much having a hard time admitting they have feeling each other, more so having a hard time vocalising their trust for one another.
I think for the next book, it comes to a story between Luigi and Arabella is going to be very interesting because so far in this book, we've only seen Ray have an amazing relationship with Bella and a comedic one with Luigi, and Domenico have a bestfriend relationship with Luigi and a older brother relationship with Arabella, but never did I think that Luigi and Arabella we're gonna get together. That was for sure shock but the time jump, I think it's perfect for the story because Bella being captive in their house, in a way, as a bird in a gilded cage, she would have no reason to be in their lives and would want to adventure out and escape the world, she has been designed to live, so it'll be very interesting to see how their story evolves from here.

This was such an entertaining read 😭🖤
From the very beginning, I was hooked by the Grimaldi family drama, the secrets, the politics, and all the chaos constantly happening behind the scenes. There was always something going on, which made it impossible not to keep reading.
But my favorite part was definitely Rae and Nico.
Rae was funny, stubborn, and never afraid to speak her mind. No matter what was thrown at her, she refused to back down, and I loved watching her find her place in a world she never expected to be part of.
And then there’s Nico... 😭
That man was DOWN BAD from the moment he laid eyes on Rae.
There was never any doubt in his mind that she was his. While everyone else was questioning things, Nico had already decided that Rae was going to be his queen, and honestly, I loved that for him 😭🖤
The way he constantly supported her, believed in her, and encouraged her, made me love him even more. He wasn’t just protective; he genuinely wanted her to realize how strong and capable she was.
The chemistry between them was so good too. The tension, the banter, the little moments between them... I was invested in every single interaction.
I also have to give some love to the supporting characters because they were such a huge part of why I enjoyed this book so much.
Cathy, Theo, Luigi, Arabella, and Franky all felt like real people instead of characters who were only there to move the plot along. They each brought something different to the story.
The family dynamics, friendships, loyalties, and betrayals made the world feel so much richer and more alive.
The only reason this wasn’t a full 5 ⭐ for me is because there were a few parts where the pacing slowed down a bit.
But overall, this was such a fun read filled with family drama, secrets, tension, amazing characters, and a hero who was completely obsessed with making the FMC his queen. 😭🖤

You got a girl born on the wrong side of the tracks and had a hard life and a guy who was handed everything in life. Two people from different worlds meet and fall in love. Nico is our very protective of everyone. He’s next in line for the seat in the commission his grandfather has kind of run it in the ground and Nico is going behind the scenes to fix what he’s done. Rae is on the run. She was running from her past in a small town. Her uncle is the butler in the Grimaldi family and he gets her a job as the maid. She finally feels loved which makes her finally want to stay put for a chance. She definitely has a found family within the walls she calls home. And Nico definitely wants to make her stay and be his queen. And he shows her how much he is obsessed with her. It takes her time but she finally sees and feels it. It definitely starts off slow but it picks up and definitely has you going through all the emotions.

Rae and Nico
I started this series with this book. So I’m obviously not reading it in order. It does reference characters from previous books but I don’t feel I’m missing anything.
Rae is one strong, kick ass character. She comes from a small southern town, doesn’t have much of a filter, is running away from small town life, knows a lot about cars and loves her car more than anything. She is by no means virginal or naive. Nico just returned from a sort of temporary exile in Europe. He’s summoned home by his father. Nico thinks the mafia family needs stronger leadership and is plotting to take over. In Rae, he finds someone who can be his partner for life. Rae and Nico keep their relationship a secret altho initially Nico is more committed than Rae to a future together.
These two are great together. They’re compatible in all the right ways and they work on their differences together. They communicate like adults. Rae calls Nico out on his BS. And Nico respects Rae’s independence and intelligence.
Dual POV, no cliffhanger but there’s a subplot that will likely be resolved in a future book. No cheating, no real 3rd act breakup. Some family drama.

Even though Rae is laying low in Boston with her uncle, she is definitely not hiding. She is smart and a survivor. And that is what will keep her safe in this underworld she's now living in.
And let's not underestimate MMC Nico. This man knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it. He has just been summoned back to the family and is determined to make his own way and clear out the trash as needed.
Although this is part of a series, each book can be treated as a standalone. I would recommend reading the whole series, though, because it is amazing!

I absolutely loved this book!! I didn't realize it was part of a series. I will definitely be reading all the others as well. But I felt like it was a good standalone. ❤ ️ Omg, Nico, definitely made the book boyfriend list! ❤️🔥🔥🫠🫠🫠 Rae had more control than I would have. 😂🤣 I loved the relationship between Nico and Rae and how she was not afraid to give him all the sass right back. Their banter had me giggling at times. 😂 I also loved Arabella, she was so sweet and down to earth with Rae, opposite of the traditional mafia princesses I usually read. I would want to be her bestie and partake in crafts with her too! ❤️

I really enjoyed Crimson Night Heir! Rae was such a fun FMC—she’s sassy, stubborn, covered in tattoos and definitely not the typical mafia heroine. I loved that she could give Nico just as much attitude as he gave her. 😂
Nico was everything I want in a dark mafia hero—possessive, protective, morally gray, and completely obsessed with Rae. Their chemistry was 🔥, and I loved the whole forbidden relationship between the mafia heir and the maid. The tension, banter, family drama, secrets, and danger kept me turning the pages.
I also really liked the Cinderella-meets-mafia feel of the story. Rae is trying to start over while Nico is dealing with stepping into his role as the future head of the Grimaldi family, so there’s plenty going on outside of their romance too.

Nico was everything I want in a dark mafia hero—possessive, protective, morally gray, and completely obsessed with Rae. Their chemistry was 🔥, and I loved the whole forbidden relationship between the mafia heir and the maid. The tension, banter, family drama, secrets, and danger kept me turning the pages.
I also really liked the Cinderella-meets-mafia feel of the story. Rae is trying to start over while Nico is dealing with stepping into his role as the future head of the Grimaldi family, so there’s plenty going on outside of their romance too.

10 stars right there. Oh so good! This book was excellent. Nico and Rae were sparkling off each other and so hot.
After a serious breakup, Rae goes to work with her uncle for a Mafia family as a maid, where she captures the attention of the grandson of the Don, Nico.
Nico was brutal when needed to be, arrogant and self assured, but when it came to Rae he knew he shouldn't want her but needed her. Rae took no prisoners and was looking out for herself. She didn't want the attention from Nico though she was very attracted to him.
I really enjoyed the suspense and the push pull between them. Danger was present, but so was that spark that turned explosive.
I enjoyed him falling first, more because Rae had a lot to lose. But glad to see the romance was rife.

A fierce, trickster of a MFC meets her match in this volatile and passionate dark mafia romance. Rae is a really unique character that just jumps off the page and more than a match for the Don in waiting Nico, who she blows away while trying to melt into the background. She is no delicate ingenué, whereas he is a vengeful, hardened killer back from exile. This is an action packed plot with the future of the mafia at stake. Therefore there is quite a bit of violence and some surprising twists. There are some great secondary characters like Arabella and Luigi, who i loved from the first moment and to be honest, he was probably my favourite character of the whole book. I do think he took a bit of the spotlight off Nico, luckily his story is next.
All in all a great dark romance.

Rae (30) & Nico (33). A maid and the future don.
I really liked that we have an unconventional FMC and not the typical shy young girl that is barely an adult that gets Nico’s attention. She is definitely a match for him even though I believe the chemistry was lacking.
I didn’t connect with either of them even though I liked them because I felt that we didn’t get to know them in depth as characters.
The pacing was a tad slower than I’d like and there wasn’t something particular in the plot that excited me, no real angst.

ARC review! Thank you Alexa Michaels for the opportunity to dive into this fun world you have created. This was such a great read. Both main characters, Rae and Dominico, were honestly so likable throughout. They felt real, which is always a huge pain point for me in romance novels. Their personalities were good, their tension and relationship believable, and their banter was excellent! Loved the mafia romance trope, it was such a well developed “world” and I really felt like a part of it as I read through. This was my first book of this series, but it def could standalone. I don’t feel like I missed out on anything by not having read the others, but now I want to!

Rae and Nico are a force of nature. An obssessed mafia prince and the girl escaping her old life and unwilling to trust. What’s there not to love. Spicy scenes 🥵 that will have you blushing in public.
Nico is unwilling to give up and with good reason. If you love an obssessed mafia man, corruption (and possibly a coup 😉), and a stubborn girl wanting to forge a better life, this is definitely the book for you.
Then add in some vintage cars and a car chase scene and there was a dry moment in this book.
Highly recommend you give this one a go.

After a bad relationship ended Rae goes to her uncles and ends up working as a maid in the Grimialdi families residence, Nico is the mafia heir and Grandson to the current Don, and he becomes obsessed with his little thief, but their lives and statuses are total opposites, hes meant marry for aliances but all he wants is her, the tattoed wild cat that drives muscle cars and has his heart racing. Well written the story draws you in, the desires, steamy hot scenes, action, and more have you hooked!

It was a fun book to read. Tae, the butler's niece, shows up to start a new life as a maid but happens to capture the attention of the heir, Nico. She shakes things up too as the house of cards begins to tumble. Nico, is back after being away, and is going to take the throne away from his aging grandfather. Rae took a little hit to get use to in the beginning and she grew on me. Arabella was a surprise at the end. It was a fast and fun to read.

If you are looking for a great dark mafia romance, you are in the right place. I really enjoyed reading about Nico & Rae is Crimson Night Heir. The characters are well developed and you could feel the connection between them as you read their story. A definite page turner of a book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

I’m not sure if this was an AI issue, a problem in the Kindle Unlimited edition, or simply poor editing, but there were too many issues throughout the book. At one point, it even had “Nice” instead of “Nico”. It totally took me out of the story. I also felt like there were things I was missing in the plot that made it hard to follow and understand. It was fun, the spice was decent, but overall, just not that great.

This Boston underworld series is amazing! Magnolia Rae is by far my favorite FMC of the series! The fact that she drives a muscle car and is covered in tats and piercings… is my favorite part about her! I honestly imagined Nico as an arrogant mafia prince from previous encounters but he proved me wrong! Love them both!

I loved Nico. A mafia prince that Durant walk around with an heir to him. He falls for Magnolia. The maid, that cleans his floors. But they were so smoldering together. The way the two of them just came together. This was a very engaging read. I was definitely pulled into this one and loved it from start to finish.

Fun story and couple as this series continues. Nico is set to take over his family’s empire but his grandfather begrudgingly doesn’t want to let go. Introduce the maid as his love interest and the family is definitely not happy. You have to love Rae and her sassiness and how she falls for Nico and learns to deal with his family and all that comes with it.
