This book was provided for free by the author in exchange for an honest review.

On the face of it you know that this book is erotica, so the focus in all four stories is on the sex scenes. The sex is hot and positively orgasmic. The characters have great chemistry between themselves. So if you want a story which follows a relationship over time and is about love, this book is not for you because it is definitely more about the sex but not so much about intimacy.

The sex does have mild D/s undertones and they do play around with bondage. On the whole the sex clearly has a lot of power dynamics but it is really well done.

SEXY TIMES 6/5 Stars ★★★★★★

Having said all that, this book is an overachiever. It does try to bring love into the picture and I had a lot of issues with that.
It is not like I don’t believe in love born out of sex. Hey! anything’s possible but considering the age difference between the two MCs and their respective positions as teacher (coach) and student, makes such a thing possible only after a long time when their relationship has finally stood the test of time and has passed the stage of infatuation and excitement because of the taboo they are indulging in.

So my problem was that the author really tries to convince you about the love between Tom and his coach (who he refers to as Coach and even addresses him as Coach throughout the story, this subtle hint at Tom calling him Coach puts a subconscious barrier between the two characters which should have been taken care of earlier, much earlier in the story). Also the whole "I will do anything to make the coach happy" thing worked in the first story but by the last one it had taken on some very creepy tones.

One thing that really made their love unreal was the fact that there were some real issues with Tom’s behaviour like his really submissive tendencies (which get more and more obvious with every story), his really cavalier attitude to his change in sexuality and the fact that he was having sex with a teacher who had a lot of sway over him. Overall there were a lot of issues concerning Tom that never make it out in the light but ruined their love, at least for me.

Truthfully if the story had some of the Coach’s perspective the love would have been more believable.

The Love Story

On the whole this book is an optimistic 2 star read but if you are reading it for the sex then yeah this book is great especially if you overlook everything else happening in the story.

Coach Me i.e. the first story was the best. I guess because it was the first I was more ready to be swept away by the events in the story which had a kind of surreal feel to them, combusting into great sex and that’s it. It was just pure unadulterated sex without any problematic feelings involved. The subsequent story also all have great sex scenes but before and after the main focus of the story there is this attempt to make this relationship more than what it appears to be and I was seriously not buying that.

Coach Me: Books 1-4 was given to me through the Goodreads Don’t Buy My Love review program for an honest review. The story is told through the eyes of Tom, aka ‘Tommy,’ a high school football player. The other MC is Tom’s coach, who Tom just calls Coach.

Lol. Occasionally I read a book and then I'm at a loss on how to review it. Just the other day I was introduced by a friend to the genre PWP. Know it? Porn without plot OR Plot? What plot?

That's not to say I don't like to read porn, I've even read my share of underage ones. I love smut just as much as the next girl. But then I read stories such as this one: Tom Jensen, high school senior, who I'm guessing is 18 years old, since the character (first person POV) never really gives his age, is coerced by his football coach, Coach Robbins, who we're told is at least twice his age, so 36. And there really is no doubt of this dub-con. Coach is pissed and when Tom says he'll do anything, Coach takes advantage of the situation, including giving a minor alcohol and asking for sexual favors.

What proceeds is a set of four sexual encounters all following the same pattern. A single scene in a story, each one not really lending itself to any great plot. Just a student/coach liaison.

Each of the four stories/books are told at different points over Tom's last year of school. It's told in the present tense, which is not a favorite of mine. It takes a very good author to be able to pull off a present tense story and make it work in my eyes. Present tense stories often lack the emotional content that can be derived from a story that's written in the past tense.

Now I'm going to go back to that squee factor for me. Because this is written in present tense I have a real issue with it. I think had the author written this story in the past tense, say as a 30 year old looking back on his quote unquote youthful indiscretions, then I probably would have been as bothered by the story.

The sex scenes were hot but poorly written. There's definitely room for improvement.

Pick this up for what it is, four sex scenes mashed together as a set, don't pick it up because you're looking for a good story line or a plot, it's just not there .

One more note: author is a serial novelist - lots of books published, but each one is a snippet of a story. That only tells me that there is no real thought to the overall storyline of any of them.

This book was provided to me freely from the author for an honest review.

I was a tad nervous going into this book because of how much of this type of story is in the real headlines today; however, I dove in because we are in fantasy land. The books were written from the student's POV and I thought the writing style matched the thought process for his age. I enjoyed the books but it felt like something was missing. I believe it could have used a touch more outside of the hot sexy stuff to give the feeling of a balance relationship especially how the book concluded. The story does jump from the initial contact to one mid-scene and then concluded, so it left me wanting more.

The author may have future plans to put more pieces in the story and wrap it into a novel(which I would most likely purchase). The book did have the hot factor going from beginning to end. It also hinted at the sweetness that could've been exhibited for an ultimate scorching hot dish served with a nice dessert. I would recommend this read if you want a quick story with 8 on heat and 2 on emotions. I rounded up to 3 stars but many may love it. It just personally lacked that slice I needed to leave me fulfilled. Thank you Cat for your contribution to my male lovin' fantasies.

I got this book for free in exchange for an honest review through the DBML program of the M/M Romance group at goodreads.

I am having a hard time figuring out how to rate this. I enjoyed it but I also don't want to encourage teacher/student relations. The other problem I have is that it is done as a set of four books while I feel it should have been one continuous book. The sex is great and While there were a few editing errors it didn't distract from the story. Tom Jansen is the star quarterback for his high school team. He is late to practice because he has class right before practice and it is on the opposite end of the school campus. He talks with the coach after a practice he is late for and said he would do anything to get back into the coach's good grace. After this it read as a predictable porn video plot. I would have loved to see a better reason for this relationship to occur.

Since most of my problem are outside of the book factors I am going to go with the higher of my two ratings.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the story of a high school senior, Tom, and his football coach. The story is a very basic D/s story about an older man and young boy. The characters are pretty one dimensional: even though this is a four book set, there is no character development. The dialogue is pretty basic and kind of girly: Coach spends all of his time talking about how wonderful Tom is and Tom spends all of his time thinking he will do anything to make Coach happy. There is no conflict or tension between the characters, very minimal plot development and a lot of typos. It's fine if you just want to read a bunch of mild sex scenes (and can ignore the typos); otherwise, I would skip it.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Tom is a student who shows up late at practice and he hates it when he disappoints his coach. One thing leads to another and before you know it Tom and his coach are in a sexual relationship. There is a bit of taboo going on because of the student/teacher relationship and because you really don't know how old Tom is?

I enjoyed this story for what it is: a quick and easy (bedtime) read but i would have liked it if it was a bit longer so we could get more character development and more background info.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Told in four short parts. Tom (Tommy) hates disappointing his coach, after showing up late one too many times to practice, he knows he's done it again. When called in by Coach to be reprimanded, he accidentally lets slip his feeling on disappointing the coach and his willingness to do anything to make it up to him. The coach then suggests a way Tommy can make it up to him and it's a far cry from what a student teacher relationship should be on school grounds. The two start up an affair that neither can turn away from.

I kind of felt awkward about the age gap between the Coach and Tommy. Readers don't really know the ages of the two characters. We just know that Tommy is a senior in High School. The blurb does point it out but while reading it just felt off to me.

Overall I felt that this was a but like a fine wine taking time to build and but at the same time not being quite developed. I really just thought it was going to be full blown erotica when I first started but found as I continued reading it had some hidden depth. Towards the end I kind of craved a bit more of the two, years down the road. I was surprised to see the coach doing as much romancing as he did considering there wasn't much the two could do in public. It was nice that the coach was looking out for their best interest and making sure their relationship didn't hinder Tom's studies. I admit if there had been a bit more input from both characters POV this would have made for an exceptional read to me instead of just a good read. There were moments in the story where I thought the two were taking some unnecessary risk. For example their second sexual encounter in the coach's office after the game.

I was allowed to read this book for free in exchange for a honest review

I expected this book to have a lot of sex (which was my main reason for wanting to read it) but I didn't expect much storyline or for me to be able to relate to Tom, I thought these things mainly because of the length of the book, but I was quite happy to be proven wrong, except the sex I was right about there being a lot of it :)

I was extremely shocked by realistic this book was, it very easy to understand Tom's thoughts and feelings. Sometimes I had to check how many pages I'd actually read cause this book evoked so many emotions in so little words that it felt like the book was longer than it actually was and I mean that in a good way.

I really enjoyed the sex scenes they were incredibly hot and satisfying.

I thought this book was a great read, I was disappointed though that there weren't more books, hopefully the author considers continuing this series. For example I'd love to see Tom's classmates finding out about it and their reactions. I usually dislike overly happy relationships in books but I loved their relationship so much that I'd love it if there were more books showing their happy future together, I mean maybe they work together or they're married or they adopted kids or maybe they do it all. Either way I loved this book.

I was given a copy of this book through the MM Group's Don't Buy My Love program in exchange for an honest review. I thank the mods and the author for this opportunity. This short 4 volume read tells the story of Tom, a senior about to graduate high school, who has a girlfriend, and his football coach. Firstly, this is straight up erotica. And secondly, you are asked, as a reader, to suspend belief at how the ease with which these two come together. The sex is plentiful and very hottt. The writing is quite strong. However my issue is that the author takes a turn into romance land and it doesn't work for me. We get NO back story on the coach, whose name we find out close to the end is Rick. I needed more insight and motivations into Rick as a character to believe the declarations between the two. I had some background on Tom and could believe his new affinity for kinky sex with a man. I was totally fine with the straight sex with a hint of kink but I was not down with the switch. I didn't believe it. I am fine with taboo relationships. One of my favorite reads is Lynn Kelling's twincest series and there's a son/father romance book I really liked so the coach/student thing didn't bother me. Just for me to buy feelings between 2 MCs, I needed more back story, more information on my MCs - MORE.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I think that the most popular PWP scenario must be the young athlete bending over for his coach. At least I've read about twenty of those. Coach me starts very much in the usual way, only there is clear intention of inserting more romantic vibes into the story. Unfortunately the transitio between porn and romance isn't graceful.

I mostly like it when the author jumps right into action, but in this case it came at the cost of Coach's character. He played on Tommy's need to please and was, all in all, surpirsingly cool about fucking his student. I know this is meant to be light reading, but some hint of internal battle would've made a difference for me.

I liked Tommy, he cheated on his girlfriend, yes, but at least he broke up with her as soon as he realized he was not going to quit his trysts with Coach. His actions were age appropriate, I thought, which I find rare in books.

Within the short length the author managed to give us a story arc and a HEA, as well as some hot scenes. And because there was a strong element of romance mixed with the sex, I would say this is more of a Porn With Plot book, and an entertainig one at that.

My thank to the author and the program.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I was a bit skeptical about the premise of this short; student-teacher relationship that they can somehow keep hidden and both parties are instantly on board with the relationship and everything just works out great. I wasn’t sure just from the synopsis that this story would fall completely in, but I figured I’d give it a shot anyways. I was disappointed in the fact that the story was a bit predictable, but I really did end up enjoying the read.

So, even though the titles of the books filled you in on what the book was going to be about, the author was able to keep it hot and not bore me with the same situation four different times. I think the four books should have just been rolled into one and flowed together, but the sex scenes were all kinds of steamy and didn’t hit me as raunchy or unbelievable. The author was able to keep me just on the edge of the safe/ getting caught line and I liked how the characters ended in the last book. This short could either stay right where it is or be a set up for a future book. I’ll be looking into other shorts from this author when I’m in need!

This book was provided for free through the DBML program on Goodreads in exchange for an honest review.

These stories are about Tom and his coach. Tom agrees to do anything to get out of trouble and the coach decides he wants Tom.

So first off, it's listed as four books, but it's four short stories that are connected. It's pretty much PWP erotica. The sex is hot. I like the chemistry between the two characters. I also really liked the fact that while Tom hadn't been with a man before, he wasn't a virgin. There is deffinately a D/s vibe to it which is enhanced by the age difference and the student/teacher situation.

The "love" aspect seemed a little off, especially because Tom refers to the coach as Coach even after they are sleeping together. I get that he wsould do that at school, but when they are alone, it seemed a little weird. I would have liked some more details about what was going on outside of the sex. But overall, entertaining story with some great sex.

Would I read this book again? Yes

Would I read this author again? Yes, especially something longer

Tom Jenson has always thought of himself as straight and yet when the coach offers him a punishment alternative to detention, Tom is all for it. We quickly find that Tom has a bit of a submissive streak... at least where Coach is concerned.

As stroke fiction goes this is pretty good but not great stuff. There's nothing here that is beyond what one finds on the Nifty Archives site and while it gets the job done, there is very little character development or plot development beyond the basics. The characters turn out rather like cardboard cutouts rather than becoming more real.

For free friction fiction this is good stuff, but if I'd paid $0.99 for the first chapter or $2.99 for any of the subsequent chapters I'd have felt that I wasn't getting my money's worth. And these really are just four chapters which may begin but don't really constitute a full story, even one of novella length.
